Fear

Donovan's worst fears all center around losing his control. His most visceral fear is of his parents, who he hasn't spoken to in decades, and who put him through a lot of shit that he thought he fixed with his own son. Having them in control of his life is the scariest thing he could think of offhand, not that he would ever mention this to anyone except Emma. His most relevant fear is that Emma is going to leave him, because to be honest, their marriage isn't big enough for both their egos. But they make it work, more or less, and he has tried very hard not to tell her about this fear in case that jinxes things. His worst fear, though, is the one he never thought to have until it already happened: that Sid would leave him.

He's also afraid of sea monsters.

Desire

The events of Nicea really threw Tatya for a loop. Before that, her biggest desire was vaginoplasty. She'd choose her audience with that one, but she didn't have any trouble mentioning it to people. The main focus of her career was saving up for it.

Then she met Isabel.

This changed zero things about her surgery plans, but it hard redirected her energy to romancing this woman, which was unfortunately a non-starter. No big deal, she wasn't there to cause trouble, and she'd probably get over it, haha. Well, she still might, but so far she's only fallen harder, like, for real. So along with her greatest desire that she tells people about, she also harbors the secret unfulfillable desire of being Isabel's girl.
