more thoughts abt hades and Persephone retellings that i have: a lot of retellings are just kinda “what if there was no rape and instead hades was a gothboss” and like i get the incentive but you can just write your own story…when you apply it to a long-standing myth it (intentionally or not) waters down the story and you just get the reyloification of oral tradition… if you want to interest me, you gotta commit to the bit OR you gotta actually include Demeter my beloved my sweetest Demeter and tell of her grief and struggle!!! ovid and the Homeric hymn didn’t do all that for her to get no recognition or at most be played as overbearing mother

i’ve been meaning to watch/read monster actually and i knew that he did some music for it but i didn’t know there was a character actually based on him, that’s really cool!!

i did think of haruka, but i thought that might have just been a coincidence. didn’t think gilbert, though i can definitely see a resemblance

the one thing i know about jojo is that araki likes his music references so it’s a possibility. i’m sure he’d find a way to reference japan/david again

and of course.......i love 8 beat gag sylvo. atsuko shima loves him so much/has so much fun drawing him
