Thomas and the Steam Team are happy to hear the good news, COVID-19 is no longer in the United States of America and is gone for good. No more lockdowns, no more wearing masks and best of all, life is going back to normal and the night life open.
Good-bye and good riddance to COVID-19 forever and don't ever come back!

Thomas advent calendar: day 4 (belated again) Character: Gordon Theme: advent Type: LNER A3 Gordon is a big express engine who pulls the express on the mainline. He sees himself above the rest which makes him quite arrogant. Still he’s a very useful engine and can always help a friend in need. Here you can see a bunch of singers on his side and Gordon has his mouth open suggesting that he’s singing along with them. Next one will be aboard hopefully today. #thomasandfriendsminis #thomasandfriends #taf #thomasthetankengine #ttte #gordon #gordonthebigengine https://www.instagram.com/p/CXHcIFzP6O7/?utm_medium=tumblr

This is in an AU right? Cause I do believe Edward was actually let go by the Furness Railway for being too shy :P
I'm really not trying to criticize, it's such an awesome take on Edward, just curious :)
The idea to portray young Edward this way actually derives from a Sodor's Finest video by TheUnluckyTug in which he mentioned something about Edward being more patient with Gordon than anyone else because he too, was an egotistical express engine.
And yeah this persona is used for an AU. Here, the "shy steaming" was more of a mechanical issue and something that (this version of) Redward would feel insecure about - especially during his beef with Gordon at the time. I also mentioned before on another post that Edward was originally rough and violent (highly ironic for someone with the title "Iron Guardian"), which I think makes the whole contrast between this and the present-day Edward more stark yet a lot funnier.
Anyways here's a green Gordon reveal

It’s a REDWARD!
Recently thought of this prequel concept (totally original, I know) where Edward used to be this cocky bastard from the Furness Railway, and one who liked to cover it up with a layer of stylish charisma. I initially wanted to give him a lamp adornment worn around his funnel and resembling a "cap" of sorts, but then I settled on leaving it out as two irons (spikes? lol) that looked like a "fauxhawk" — if anything it kind of suits his young, "fancy cool kid" status.
I like the idea that Edward’s old attitude likely rubbed off on a young and impressionable green Gordon when they met, forming a rivalry between the two — despite that they usually had to spend a lot of time working together as top-line express engines, they would naturally try to one-up each other, resulting into probably a lot of hilarious or unusual fuck ups before getting told off by their controller.
Sometime prior to getting his signature blue coat (I assume before his early-20s in engine years), Edward is hit with a paradigm shift (which Gordon likely doesn't experience) — possibly by someone like Glynn — that prompts him into shifting his conceited attitude to eventually something more mature and polite. I got reminded that Edward was roughly 27 years old in the time TAB took place (1923), where he’s already pretty humble.

In order to celebrate the 5th anniversary of "The Adventure Begins", I've add Mickey, Donald and Goofy in their classic look for the crossover called "Mickey's Adventures of Thomas and Friends: The Adventure Begins". It'll be about where Mickey and his pals took their visit on the Island of Sodor and they first met Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends.
