#but I've decided that the reason Jo and the other one get to stay together after the war without question #is because they always just claim they understand each other in ways no one else could. #it makes me kind of sad that they cant have kids so i might give Josie a husband that dies in the war #that when one wakes up screaming the other knows exactly why and is the only one who does. #because they were together through the whole war. they saw the same things. #i might also give one a husband? it wouldn't be Josie. #he would die. that would be part of the excuse too. #“well why don't you nice women marry soldiers? they know the horrors too #“she did. her husband died capturing Passchendaele and you want her to just replace him? #she is a mourning widow.
