I absolutely love bitties soo, for people with lots of free time and loves cuddles which bitty do you think is great to have in each bitty type category?

Glossy: Glossys thrive on attention and since you have free time to give them as much as they need I think it would be a good match! They’re as clean as birds can be (lol) and loves shiny toys and music to dance to.

Runner up:

Lilac: The Sans to the Papyrus he’s just as demanding for attention but laziness means he takes more naps in between. He’s a messy bird so you’ll have to clean out his nests often!

Lamia:

Twister: Twisters are my big boys and, like the Anacondas they are, they specialize in full body hugs! They’re laid back but do require some special treatment: access to water, even a bathtub, is important.

Runner up:

Constellation: Stellars are quite snuggly but you’ll have to tucker them out before hand! Luckily they’re self starters and will find things to do even if you aren’t involved!

Ampithere:

Marvels: Marvels are little rays of sunshine and will brighten any home. Their swap-side is strong and they can’t help but be optimistic! They enjoy cuddles and other forms of physical affection.

Stamps: Despite them being hyper focused on Art, Stamps are surprisingly affectionate! They enjoy cuddles and to be praised, especially on their art!

What bitties would be beat for massive households??? Like with a lot of other bitties!

My bittys that are the best at living in larger families are:

Blue Ribbons: They are actually afraid of being alone so the easiest way to get around that is a large family that they can “take care of” by sentry duty and patrolling.

Puffs: They love to bake and take care of others so a large family means there’s more ways to spread the, sometimes overwhelming, love!

Harpys: All my harpies love being in a flock, they love to preen each other and sing. They also enjoy the company of other types of bittys!

Greetings! One match up please~

I am very shy when i met new people and tend to keep low. But once I'm comfortable or around people I love, oh boy. I'm get energetic and excited easily especially if someone starts sharing their interests with me or i start rambling about mine. I am rather sarcastic but also a giant goofball. 10/10 crackhead, I am that one friend that everything is responsible and all but I am the devil of the group. I don't like fighting but i will not back down to speak my mind or throw hands for loved ones. I can get stubborn and sometimes tend to forget things a lot but i can be very determined when something interests me. I will study anything about it then. I rough yet gentle love in one.

My hobbys are mostly drawing, writing and crafting stuff. I like swimming but honestly only when little people are around or just my friends. I am not too found of my body. What I also like is watching movies, series or reading mangas and books. I love when my friends wear my clothes or let me do their hair. I don't know why it just really like it. I'm somewhat good at verbal and physical affection. Look,,, my touchstarved butt just wants someone to love amd cerish.

What a deal breaker is someone who is rude for the sake of being rude, a liar (personal reasons) or someone that has something against my family. Especially against my lil bro, we are a bunch of weirdos yes but I will make hell rise if u dare hurt my lil bby bro. And people that hate pets. Like, are awful to them. Egoistic people too, i don't need another one. And any kind of abusive person.

Twister: Geez Louise have you already met my boys, the Twisters, already? Because personality wise you two are completely in synch! Even hobby wise a Twister would love to learn with you, especially the crafting and hair stuff (never mind he doesn’t have hair, he’ll do yours! Or get him a wig! He’ll ROCK it!) They’re also excellent swimmers and will be your personal floatation device!

Glossy: Glossy’s love shiny, pretty things and will be fascinated watching you do your friends’ hair and choosing their outfits. They may not have hands, but their talons are dexterous enough to be your assistant. And if you were to make something for him, he’d wear it with such pride you’ll have no doubt how much he loves it, and you! Glossys love attention though, so you’ll have to be willing to set aside time each day to admire him or he will become depressed.

Puff: Hobby-wise a Puff could be your perfect match! He’d be a perfect sounding board for new ideas and projects and will happily assist you in any way possible! He also hates cruelty and will respect the way you stand up for yourself without resorting to fighting. The only thing that may turn you off is that they tend to be a bit, prim, in attitude but they are flexible enough to meet you half way on things!

Can i get a match up? Im an introvert (INFP) and prefers to stay indoors. I love drawing and trying new crafts or other forms of art even if i dont do them often. I'm extremely affectionate, empathetic, and sensitive and tend to worry about everyone around me. I have depression, social anxiety and ADHD and can be pretty optimistic. Im usually quiet and soft spoken until im around ppl im comfortable with. I do procrastinate and forget things alot but Im extremely protective of my loved ones and I can get loud when im talking about stuff ive fixated on.

Twister: These large cuddle-noodles understand the desperation of wanting to be loved and the social anxiety and hyper empathic behaviours that go with it. If you show one of these giants affection and loyalty they’ll return it for the rest of their existence. He’d also be happy to help you with your crafts either by setting/cleaning up or doing little things like holding your yarn.

Puff: if you want a craft buddy, Puffs are your bitty! They’ll happily experiment with you and chat about new crafts to try out, they also love to bake and cook so if that’s not something you are interested in they’ll happily take over, they love being useful and caring for their family using acts of service!

Glossy: Glossys are harpy bittys rather than lamias however they adore crafts and fashion and will give their opinions freely on both subjects! They’ll also happily parade your newest crafty fashions for you and encourage your creativity! Glossys love people who are artistic and enjoy being in close contact with their adopters. They can be fairly loud, however they’ll do their best not to squawk over you!

Which of your lamia bitties (big and/or small if it makes a difference) would be best for a single person house, and which would be best in a big family house? Which can go both ways?

I’m always of the opinion that every bitty is an individual and that they can adapt to a lot of situations.

But, since we are talking in general…

Bigger Families:

Blue Ribbons: scared of being alone, the only bitty I recommend for larger families.

Ghosts/Phantoms: They like to be in pairs.

Glossys: These Harpys need a LOT of attention. In most situations it’s easier with a larger family.

Both

Twisters, Puffs, Rattlers, Lilacs, Nebulas, Constellations, Merlot, Espressos, Dreads, Stamps, Marvels

Smaller Families

Gaffes: Their hapephobia and sensitivity to sound makes a smaller family easier to cope with

Coins: They tend to be possessive and territorial which can put pressure on them and their siblings.

A new Caretaker enters the shop... : Welcome Piquante!

Although smaller than most Grillbixes, Piquante always believed that he made up for it with determination and nerve. And, hoo boy, he needed ever last bit of it after being adopted! His adopter and employer, Selkie, was up front with him about the personalities of her Harpys - the bittys she was hoping he’d be able to help with. But nothing could prepare him for the reality...

The Harpys weren’t cruel by nature, but they had a huge amount of energy that needed to be sapped somehow from day to day. Piquante was impressed with the shop’s aviary, there were lots of perches, toys and nest boxes for them to share, there was even a safe, caged outdoor area accessible from the window. Selkie and her friends even built him his own large nest box in the rafters hoping to help him assert himself as the “alpha-bird”. He wasn’t sure it worked, but the thought was appreciated. He was also given a golden bangle with a red gemstone: it hid a microchip that would allow him to let himself out of the aviary and shop through pet doors set up to be unlocked by the chip without needing to ask anyone’s help.

He spent a lot of his days corralling his charges and breaking up fights over limited resources; on better days he led them in games and tried to give the most attention starved individuals much needed love and preening. The harpys were good at making family groups during their stay in the shop - but there were always exceptions. With his supervision the Harpys were allowed more playtime outside the aviary where he enlisted some help to make simple obstacle courses. It was a huge hit with the Glossys! There is a group that are now determined to set new course records everyday!

One night a few months after Piquante joined the caretakers Selkie set up a movie night one stormy evening just for the harpys. (When in large groups, Harpys are just naturally noisy, so it isn’t a good idea to have movie nights for the whole shop at once.) This time it’s Selkie’s favourite Disney film: The Sword and the Stone. Piquante thought it was rather silly, but he enjoyed the music and especially the character of Merlin’s owl: Archimedes. After that when the harpys would wake up due to a noise in the middle of the night Piquante would make a big show of poking his beak out of his nest box and yelling: “Who, who, who? What what?” The harpys knew when Piquante would goof around like that - then nothing is wrong. Then, with a few more chirps and rustling of feathers peace returns quickly to the aviary.

To celebrate Piquante’s six month anniversary at the shop he received a beautiful new nest box carved in to the shape of a cuckoo clock! The Bonsais chose the best wood, the Twister lamias built and carved it, the Rattler lamias stained and painted the figures, the Puff lamias knit, crocheted and sewed all sorts of soft bedding for his nest and lastly the Coin lamias donated some of their shiny stones and coins to give the clock the last bit of glitz it needed. It was revealed at the end of a big party with great fanfare! The Harpys then bestowed their “gift” to Piquante by surrounding him and each taking turns rubbing against him or nibbling at him in affection. Piquante’s flames flushed pink in pleasure. He was truly home, in a place he belonged!

They’re both sassy cockatoos that like lots of attention! They come in full-size (Cockatoo-sized) or bitty-size (Budgie-sized).

These birdy bittys have to be the center of attention at all times! Whether they’re “testing the acoustics” by screeching into a plastic cup or practicing their “dance moves” by doing somersaults on their perches - Glossys are continually busy and showing off for you! Your Glossy needs a healthy diet of fruits, seeds and veggies to keep his feathers their glossy best! However they can tolerate a small amount of animal protein that is easily satisfied by a hard-boiled egg a week. (Or it’s equivalent.) Glossys do best in a “flock”, however they can adapt themselves to bittys of any type! The worst thing you can do to a Glossy is to leave them alone for long periods during the day, so make sure he has company when you aren’t home!

LustTale Sans - Lilac

Bird - Sulfur-crested Cockatoo

He may not be as loud as his brother, but Lilacs are just as busy and in need of attention! Make sure you have lots of brightly-coloured toys for him to carry around and make noise with and a few different perches around the house so he never feels left out of the action! He also appreciates lots of mirrors to admire himself in! Lilacs have the same dietary requirements as Glossys but they are happy to have a taste of whatever you’re having! His favourite is French Fries with Spicy Ketchup! If you have to be out during the day, leaving the radio or TV on keeps him distracted but too much screen time isn’t good for anyone!
