So sad no one is giving my girl Kennedy love.
I agree Kennedy deserved all of the love. What's her favourite dishes and if she had to choose to go somewhere on holiday where would it be and why.
ken has a big sweet tooth so one of her favourite dishes (if you can call it that) is gizzada. her mother would make it all the time, not necessarily for every meal but they did usually have on hand in the house.
she's also a very adventurous eater, so she'll anything at least once.
and her go-to holiday destination will forever and always be the caribbean. she may not have lived there for long but its where she was born and no matter how much she loves her home and all the friends she's made, she'll always be drawn back there.

Authentic Jamaica Treats
The restaurant business is still relevant and welcomes newcomers, giving them a chance to show off their skills and tantalise customer’s taste buds. The reason for starting "Authentic Jamaica Treats" is due to the realisation that the current Jamaican population lack knowledge of traditional Jamaican treats that have cemented themselves in our culture due to loss of cultural identity and unhealthy food choices.
 Missing out so much I decided to open a family restaurant selling a variety of traditional Jamaican foods revised to make it a healthier version. Much to our delight in deep-fried food and sugar-laden desserts. Opening a healthy food restaurant with affordable prices shapes the behavior of people not only to stay healthy but also to allow socialisation in a much-needed relaxing atmosphere.
In establishing this business, the teething phase had many challenges. From sourcing distributors to acquiring the right ingredients, obtaining restaurant licenses for operation, finalising a space within our budget, and interviewing the right staff with the same enthusiasm about Jamaican culture as myself. We selected the famous Jimmy Cliff Boulevard for our location because of the tourist attractions and peaceful atmosphere. Opening a restaurant was not a one-person adventure, having a real passion is the biggest motivation for efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
 One patty contains approximately 336 calories, 15 grams of fat, and 432 milligrams of sodium. Patties are a tasty, inexpensive, filling snack that people from all walks of life have loved since 1966. Jamaican cuisine pastry also has a lot of calories. Authentic Jamaica Treats is certain that the food consumed is pure and made from natural ingredients making delicious foods and treats using tested and perfected recipes. Minimizing added sugar, processed food, and salt.

It is 12:10 am when I started working on this, but I’m pulling through!
The bell above the door chimed and Ari had stepped through to enter the cozy, warm cafe and bookstore. He had closed the door behind him and first glanced upon the rows of shelving that had had bares handwritten ledgers depicting the different sections of the books you had to offer; and the other half of the store that contained the cafe and bakery.
“I’ll be right with you!” The voice that called from the back was recognizable to Ari as yours, the soft qualities drawing him closer to the front counter.
“Take your time, andromeda.” Aero had replied, the nickname coming from the memory of the conversation you’d shared at the wedding, the night you two had sat outside to look at the stars.
Andromeda was the only galaxy Ari had known and after seeing the pictures you’d pulled up on your phone, Ari had retorted that the galaxy was only half as breathtaking as you were.
“Ari,” you stepped out from the back with flour dusting your cheeks and your apron lopsided, “hi. What are you doing here?”
“I’ve heard about this cafe that makes the best pastries with coconut,” he had stepped up to the counter and set his hands upon the surface, “and a black coffee.”
“A gizzada?” You questioned, first grabbing a cup from the stack behind you to fill it up, before you had handed the coffee over. “Coconut tarts?”
“Sounds good,” Ari had thanked you for the coffee, placing a twenty down on the counter for you to take. “You busy this weekend, dromeda?”
“Busy?” You used tongs to place the pastry in the bag and set it down beside the coffee. “Not really, why?”
“I have some tickets to the game and I thought you’d like to go.” Ari lift the cup to his lips and sipped on the coffee within. “Since you lost the bet and agreed to go on a date with me.”
“Making sure I don’t back out?” You placed one hand on your hip and cocked an eyebrow up at him. “Baseball or hockey?”
“NY Rangers are playing the Bruins.” Ari’s lips twitched, garnering your attention.
“Oh I see, pitting the NYC and Boston natives against each other. Crafty, Levinson.” You crooned and then cleared your throat. “I’m free. I got the weekend off.”
“Great, I’ll pick you up for dinner.” Ari grabbed the bag with the dessert and the coffee, stepping back from the counter.
“Ari, your change…”
“Keep it, Andromeda. You deserve it.”

For reference, the main dancer quartet in the story are Coricopat, Mistoffelees, Plato and Victoria!
These four are INCREDIBLY close. Plato and Victoria are dating, Coricopat and Mistoffelees are best friends of four years!
Coricopat originally met Mistoffelees by commenting on his poise! He asked him how he kept his back so straight and everything took off from there!
Plato and Coricopat have known each other longest. Probably since childhood :-] ! They enjoy playing soccer together for excersize. Mistoffelees doesn't care for it so much. Victoria and him prefer to work out in the gym or practise in the studio!
The four's favourite thing to do is to hang in cafes! They find it fun to sit and write, do homework, talk, just hang out !!!
Victoria has albinism !!! She feels that this will stop her from getting a lot of roles and put a strain on her career. But, everyone around her encourages her of her abilities.
Coricopat takes gift giving VERY seriously. He WILL find out everything you love, will get you gifts based around things you want or need. He's practical, a VERY good listener. He loves watching people's faces light up as he hands them little ribboned boxes, neatly cellotaped with colourful, patterned paper.
Plato and Mistoffelees work out a LOT together. They're kinda gym bros sometimes. They love lifting weights and drinking those AWFUL protein shakes. Mistoffelees likes ones with cucumber and kale, whereas Plato likes the sweet, chcoolate-y ones.
Coricopat and Victoria shop together a lot. They're both into fashion greatly !! Coricopat loves streetwear and the big designer / hypebeast brands, Victoria is more into things that follow a dark academia theme of fashion !! She likes high waisted skirts, little blouses and loafters :]
Victoria also braids and style's cori's hair ! She always threads beads through his little braids and is gentle with his scalp.
Coricopat has hair type 4A (he's black), Victoria has 4C in an afro-style (she's black, with albinism), Plato has 2A (he's half white half chinese) and Misto has hair type 1C (he's half black, half punjabi?? I think this is the correct term ! his estranged mother is from Pakistan!)
Victoria's favourite style of ballet is neoclassical, Plato's enjoys contemporary, Coricopat loves classical and contemporary, and Mistoffelees kind of opts out of a genre however, choosing to kind of do a mix of modern ballet elements, classical leaps and footwork and imporvisation. He likes to see where the music takes him.
Coricopat's favourite food is carribbean food, he loves conch ceviche salad and gizzada tarts !! Plato enjoys korean food the most, hearty dishes of rice, meat and vegetables topped with sauces and sesame seeds. He also favours fast food, but can't eat much. Victoria loves fancy finger foods like salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, little olives and cheese boards. If she had to have a favourite food though, I'd go with some sort of strawberry shortcake or glass noodles. Mistoffelees is a sucker for rich, dark chocolates or truffles and sourdough pizza. I think he would also enjoy steak with a red wine jus and grilled asparagus >:p
Coricopat is the most sociable, followed by Plato. They love their nights out in clubs or bars. The ones they frequent, however, are completely different to Gus and Skimble's bar. Those kinds that play top 40 dance tracks and serve drinks that are way too overpriced.
Mistoffelees and Victoria, as children, loved the beach. Misto loves the salty air, the fried fish and chips in styrafoam containers, the feeling of the sand beneath his feet. Mistoffelees is a beach guy >:] for def. Victoria isn't so much in her later years.
In their class, Victoria has a one-sided rivalry with Etcetera. She believes they're in some sort of rival dynamic. They arent. She's extremely dramatic HGFJDK
Victoria's dream is to take over Jenny's ballet company! Mistoffelees would like to retire in his late years and maybe live on a farm, Coricopat wants to go into theatre and Plato does not give a fuck. He has no idea what he wants to do. All he knows is dance and soccer practise. Freeballing life.

Just one more recipe to finish out my weekend, a dessert to share with my coworkers so I don't eat it all 😅
Dairsmuid Stars from Rivain

Difficulty: 4/5 Honestly I shouldn't have had so much trouble with this, but, well, take a look...
I'm clearly no pastry chef, but the ratio of butter to flour in the recipe seemed super sus to me, like 2 Tbsp butter should not be enough for 2 cups flour, that just doesn't make sense. So I watched a youtube video of someone from... where this dish is from, which is Rivain of course (it's Jamaican but you didn't hear it from me), and she said 2:1 flour to butter, which made much more sense. I clearly went wrong somewhere along the way though because my little pastry dishes melted 😭 You know what they say about life giving you lemons though. The subsequent leaking of sugar from the filling ended up making perfect buttery spiced caramel that I made into impromptu creme brulee ice cream! Also the syrup doubles as an industrial strength adhesive, if the way it stuck to the wax paper it was cooling on is any indication. I thought that whole point of wax paper is that it doesn't stick!
Ingredient cost/accessibility: 3/5. It's not that the ingredients are that hard to find or expensive, but easy to get wrong on this one. First of all I added 1 tsp cinnamon and a smallish ginger root grated up, peal and all, per said youtube instruction, because I thought that sounded delicious, and indeed it was. The tricky thing is the coconut. The recipe just says "finely shredded coconut", which I think most clueless Americans like myself would think that those sugary shredded bits you get in the baking isle next to the chocolate chips. But they mean actually crack open a coconut and grate the flesh, which there was no way I was going to do without hurting myself, or if you use store bought it has to be dried unsweetened or desiccated coconut! Trust me it there is plenty of sugar in here without the bag of sugar shreds.
Taste: 5/5 It's actually really good, it just looks a mess. It's caramelly, buttery and spiced. Honesty I think the coconut gets a little lost and is more of a textural element, but I think that's probably because my bag of unsweetened coconut was a bit old and I wasn't willing to bother with the real thing, which I'm sure would have been more flavorful.
Suggested pairing: milk, coconut water, or a tiki drink or rum cocktail, which is what I had, discussed below...
Suggested pairing: Merribella. Merrill seems the type to appreciate little pastries and Isabella would like the spice and ginger kick.
Speaking of kicks, I had the ingredients already for a Seer's Spirit too, so I said why not?! Don't worry, I made it last night, I'm not drinking this early in the morning 😅
Difficulty: 1/5 Easy peasy lime squeezy
Ingredient cost/accessibility: 3/5 As always alcohol isn't cheap. Just rum in this one though, and technically I used a golden rum and it called for white, but lets be real, despite what my pretentious home bar and spherical ice might say, I'm really not a connoisseur and I can't tell the difference between white and golden rum. So I wasn't going to go out and buy another bottle when I already had perfectly good rum thank you very much.
Taste: 3/5 Not bad at all, just a little strong for my taste. It's 2oz of drink, 1.5 of which is rum.
Suggested pairing: the above Dairsmuid Stars worked quite nicely actually
Suggested pairing: Zevbela. Just sweet enough to drink enough to be dangerous.
