Very much Angst
Park Chaeyoung x Fem!reader -> Requested
Prompt: Reader gets in a car crash that’s fatal, and Rosé refuses to believe your gone forever despite what everyone tells her. Reader can’t bare to watch her live on like that, so she visits her one last time.
………………………………………………………………………………
“Thanks for agreeing to pick me up this late,” you spoke to BLACKPINK’s manager as you got in the car, “I had to wait till they were all out doing something and wait till my kids were gone so I’d have time to do this.”
The woman in the driver’s seat, Haebom, just laughed in response. Haebom was the manager of the girls, and also a close friend of yours. When you met Rosé you got to know Haebom along the way.
“So,” she began, backing up from the parking lot, “what are you getting for them? Knowing you, you’ll go overboard.”
“Well, they all want something to do with fashion or video games, small gifts on the side. But as for Chae, I’m gonna get her a gift for our anniversary— and I don’t go overboard.”
“You do, but I won’t argue. They’ll love anything you get them, especially that wife of yours.” You hummed, looking out the window. Haebom drove down multiple streets, turning multiple times but you couldn’t help but notice the same car still behind you.
There was a pit in your stomach as you continued to watch the car. You didn’t want to jump to the conclusion you were being followed because the car you were in was heavily tinted, so what were they doing?
“I think someone’s following us.”
“What? Who?” She kept her eyes on the road.
You squinted, trying to make out the writing on the car following you. “It’s the paparazzi.”
“They must've seen you come out. I’ll try to lose them, we’ll just have to take a detour.”
They stay on your tail stubbornly, unfortunately. Your driver takes a turn once the light is green, but the next thing you know you're being jerked sideways by another car crashing into you.
That simple jerk would’ve been all you got, but no, the car was speeding and it was one of the bigger cars. Your car flipped over and skidded on its roof, hitting the railings of the road blockers.
It’s all a blur from there. Your manager took the blunt side of the hit, so she was able to call emergencies before passing out herself. You were transported to a hospital not long after.
“She’s got internal bleeding—”
“Trauma to the head, get the—” You wish the ringing in your ears would go away. You faded in and out of consciousness as they put you on a stretcher with wheels, the bright lights of the hallway made your head hurt even more. You seemed to be hooked up to some type of a breather.
All this is happening while the four eat dinner, celebrating Blackpink and how far they’ve gotten in life, until Chaeyoung gets a call.
She excuses herself and walks to the restaurant entrance and answers the phone. It’s from an unknown number.
“Hello?” She speaks. She hears shuffling on the other line, “Is this Mrs. Park? Chaeyoung Park?”
“Yes I am. Who is this calling?” It's then when she feels a sort of dread growing in her stomach.
“We found your number in Mrs. (Y/n)’s emergency contacts— I’m sorry to say this, but she’s been in a car accident, we have her at the hospital now—” She almost drops her phone. She feels sick.
The next thing she knows she’s sprinting back to the table to grab her purse, all the while tears are coming down her face. “Rosie? What’s wrong? What happened?” Jennie starts to stand up, so do the others.
“(Y/n), hospital—she’s— I have to go.” That’s all she chokes out. They leave the restaurant (not without paying the bill) and get in the car.
“Chaeng, what’s going on?” Jisoo rests a hand on her knee.
“The hospital called me, from emergency contacts on (Y/n)’s phone— they said she got into a car crash.” She cries, and the other girls start to worry now. The car ride is filled with reassurance to Chaeyoung.
They get there quickly nonetheless.
Chaeyoung practically sprints to the reception desk, leaving the girls fumbling to get out the car.
“(Y/n) Park? I’m her wife— the other three about to come in are her friends.”
The guy gives her the room number fast, sensing the urgency. He also had a feeling he would get his head bite off if he took longer.
She makes it to the room and steps in to see doctors fussing over you. They step out a minute later, recognizing Chaeyoung. And in doing this, they clear her view, allowing her to see you.
You looked awful. There was dried blood on the white sheets. You were hooked up to various wires and tubes to try and stabilize your breathing and keep you comfortable. A tube is placed down your nose and another leads into an IV drip. A heart monitor sits beside your bed, and you’re hooked up to a few other monitors. A bandage covers most of your forehead.
She takes a seat in the chair next to your bed and holds your hand. Her knee bounces as she fights the urge to wake you up.
A little later the rest of the girls come in, out of breath. They, too, frowned and felt tears prick their eyes at your state.
As if sensing the mood in the air you began to stir. You smiled when your vision cleared up and you were able to see Chaeyoung. “Hey..”
“Thank god you're awake.” Chaeyoung ran a thumb along your bruised knuckles.
“You're gonna stay strong for us, right?” You heard Jisoo’s voice. You nodded with reluctance. You had a feeling.
“But…what if I don’t get out of this? I mean, everything hurts…and you hear what the doctor said; it might take a miracle. I think I already used mine up because I have you and the girls in my life.” You tried to joke. Tried to give them an inkling that you weren’t gonna make it.
There was silence after you talked. Your wife broke it.
“You promised— remember?”
“Yeah, I remember. And I will always keep it.” Even if that means you’re not physically here. She grips your hand tighter, praying you’ll be okay.
You know you won’t, because laying here in this hospital bed, all you feel is pain. In your heart and bodily.
You no longer felt anything in your legs, then it went upwards. Your body slowly began to shut down. Then it was hard for you to keep your eyes open, so,
“I love you so much, and I’m…sorry.”
Your words rang in her head, deafening everything going on around her. Why are you talking like you're not going to make it? Like you’re breaking the promise you made?
Chaeyoung failed to notice the way your grip on her hand went limp. Failed to see that the electrocardiogram machine indicating your heart rate had gone flat. Failed to notice the way her best friends began to sob and break down. Failed to register and feel that someone had pulled her into their embrace, a wet liquid dripping onto her neck.
She didn’t understand why you sounded like that—
Chaeyoung failed to recognize anything, until she was back at home lying face down on the cool marble kitchen countertop after downing a bottle of wine. Which was strange to her because she barely drank unless it was a special occasion. She began to open another before pausing.
Where were you? You never would have let her drink that much. Maybe you were upstairs in the bedroom.
Yeah.
So she made her way upstairs, albeit wobbly. She wondered what worried look you’d have on your face this time. Or maybe you’d be disappointed. Or maybe you were asleep, she’d just curl up next to you if you were.
She opened the door to your shared bedroom and turned the light on. Her brows furrowed in confusion because you weren’t there. The bed looked untouched; wrinkle free and made up. So she called Jisoo, who picked up two rings later.
“Hey,” she began, and Jisoo picked up the slurring in her voice. “Are you drinking?” Jisoo’s voice sounded pitiful, small— not like she would sound normally.
“Correction, was drinking. But do you know where (Y/n) is? She’s not here and she’s not picking up her phone,” she let her words linger for a bit before feeling the need to add, “I miss her.”
Jisoo didn’t answer so she spoke again. “Are you still there?” She heard a sigh from the other end,
“Chae…she’s gone.”
“What do you mean? What are you talking about?” She tried to laugh it off, but it was hard because Jisoo sounded serious.
“She died today, in a car crash. Don’t you remember?”
“This isn’t funny Jisoo. I know she’s out with Jennie or Lis—” She broke off. It was like something she’s been repressing— something she was trying to forget, came back; to bite her in the ass and say,
Wake up.
Her hands began to tremble and as she brought them to her mouth, she noticed her lips doing the same. Hot tears shed down her cheeks,
“Mrs. Park, you need to calm down!”
“No, I won’t! You’re lying you’re lying you’re lying,” her head shook rapidly with every word. She had backed herself into a corner of the white room, the smell of antiseptics with undertones of the artificial fragrance contained in the soaps and cleaning supplies filled her nose bitterly. The smell of a hospital.
Her members, well one of them: Jisoo, tried to get her to calm down. The other two were on their knees crying.
“Why do you insist on telling me my wife is dead? She’s not! She’s laying right there, she’s sleeping, she’s just—” She knows better.
Her breaths were ragged and her eyes burned from the coming of tears.
“Chaeyoung, please. We need you to calm down. It hurts me seeing you like this— you have to be strong for those two.”
She pressed herself more into the wall, wishing it would open up and hide her. The walls felt like they were closing in on her. “Don’t tell me what to do—I don’t want to listen, not right now. I need space, please. I need—” Her breathing started to pick up.
Jisoo tried again, softer, “Chaeng…”
“No!” She shouted. She so desperately needed space.
Chaeyoung’s breathing was getting worse and she was hysterically waving her hands around as she made rapid movements. Jisoo’s eyes widened upon seeing Chaeyoung suddenly cover her chest with her hands, clawing at where her heart was.
“(Y/n)’s gone! (Y/n)’s gone! She’s gone! But she promised! She promised me she would forever be with me! She promised, but she left me!”
Her breathing was irregular and she was struggling to breath, clawing at her chest and throat as she struggled to stay afloat. She was spiraling. She was panicking.
You were gone.
Jisoo immediately stepped forward and grabbed her wrists, pulling her hands away from her throat. Lisa and Jennie watched with heavy hearts seeing her like this. It felt like they were losing her too.
“Chaeyoung, listen to me. She may be gone but—”
“No! No! No! No! No! You're lying! You’re lying! She’s not—” Chaeyoung’s voice was filled with pain and tears were streaming down her cheeks as she stared at Jisoo, violently trying to pull her wrists out of Jisoo’s grip. “Let go! Let go! I need— I need space— I can’t breathe, please—” She felt a pinch in her neck, and then she fell limp in Jisoo’s arms. Her pleads became quiet before they came to a stop, and her eyes slipped closed. The doctor had put her to sleep; while Jisoo was trying to calm her down, the doctor had snuck up with a syringe.
“Jisoo,” she whispered, having remembered. Chaeyoung began to sob and she could hear Jisoo sniffling on the other end.
“You're going to hurt for a long time, us too. But we’ll always be there for you, okay? Let us know if you need anything, we’ll come over in a heartbeat.”
“Thanks. I love you guys.” And then the call ended.
Chaeyoung flopped back on the bed. She felt everything and nothing. She was in pain, but numb at the same time.
What was she going to tell her kids? Probably the cliche, ‘your mom went on a trip and won’t be back for a long time, but you’ll see her again’. If she didn’t stick with that, she had at least a week to figure it out since her kids were with relatives.
Chaeyoung didn't sleep that night, because the only thing she saw when she closed her eyes, was you in pain.
The next day started with a bunch of phone calls from family and friends saying how sorry they are. Then it was your funeral, she hated how fast it came. It felt rushed to her. They even let her hold your hand; it was cold. You looked peaceful, but would you still be, knowing she was living like this?
As she watched your casket lower into the ground and heard her kids crying next to her, it was like a message, cruel and unchangeable: this was reality.
Wake up.
(A piece of her got lost that day.)
But despite deep down knowing you were gone— that part of herself she buried, she’ll live in denial— she acts as though you were still here. Still here with her.
The doctor says it’s a coping mechanism…
Everyday, when she cooks, she makes an extra plate. Most of the time it’s your favorite dishes. She places it where you usually sit.
Pathetic.
She eats. Silverware clinking against the plate but she refuses to look up. Refuses to see, to accept that you're not there. That you're not in your chair, eating with her.
The pinks came over with her kids one day and saw her do this when she cooked for everyone. Your daughter asked who the extra plate was for and got silence in return. That’s when they realized it was for you. The atmosphere quickly became, well, gloomy. Chaeyoung pretended to be oblivious to it but Jisoo had enough.
“Dammit Chaeng,” Jisoo said under her breath, getting up abruptly and grabbing her hand, “where are we going?” Chaeng asked as they walked to the car.
“To see a doctor.”
The doctor says it’s a coping mechanism.
Chaeyoung had stopped doing that, she didn’t like making the girls worry about her like that. She turned to more…normal things.
She would talk like she was talking to you. Not in public, but in private settings. She'll tell you how she’s doing, how her day went, how she’s feeling. She sits in her bed, a photo of you in her hand. She hoped you were able to listen.
Unbeknownst to her, you always did.
She starts with a simple, “I miss you.” Then,
"Lisa and Jennie are just as bad, but Jisoo…I know she’s hurting more than all of us. She's hiding the pain, trying to be strong for us." she starts up again, turning herself sideways and tucking her legs in close to her chest, her head rests against the pillows, "and your family…telling them what happened was terrible. I feel terrible because I can't give them more closure."
Chaeyoung starts to sniffle. "But I'm barely hanging on, (Y/n)."
"I don't feel like eating or doing anything….it’s awful,” she sets the picture in her lap and covers her face, allowing her head to push back against the pillows. Her muffled cries bleed out into the night, echoing among the quiet.
"I've barely gotten out of bed or left the house these past few days. I thought things would get a little easier after your funeral, but it's only been harder, and I’d like to say having Hank back is helping me, but I’m not sure anymore. It’s like he knows you're gone too." Her voice is laced with unprocessed grief.
You can only watch. Unbeknownst to her you sit next to her, your hand barely touching hers. If you moved it anymore, it might go through her. She couldn’t see, feel, or hear you.
“Is there anything I can do? I don’t care what the price is, I just want to feel her.” You were close to crying yourself as you asked your Guide.
Your Guide, Jessica, a worker in the afterlife field is trying to help your soul pass on to the other side happily. But you can’t be happy knowing what Chaeyoung and your family and friends are going through.
“Well, first of all there’s no ‘price’ you need to pay, this isn’t one of those things. I can only do so much, but I think, if I get permission from the higher-ups I can make you…unghost-like for a limited period of time.”
“Please. I’d like that.”
“It’s gonna take some time though, I’m unable to do it right now,” her voice echoed, “that’s fine,” you replied.
Chaeyoung, having drained herself, lay on her side curled up. You wrapped your arms around her. She cried herself to sleep, like she did every night. You felt every sniffle and shake of her body. It was a cycle, her crying herself to sleep only to feel worse in the morning.
Jessica gets in touch with you again the next day in the late afternoon. You watch as Chaeyoung makes dinner for herself.
“I got permission. But you only have twelve hours, that’s all I could get out of them. That’s half a day.”
“That’s more than enough, thank you so much.” She hums.
“You have three minutes till you're alive again, so I’d think of a game plan or you might just scare her to death. Oh, and it hurts a little, the process. Make the most of your time, good luck.”
You hid in a closet, having it cracked open so you could see Chaeyoung still. Then after three minutes you felt a buzzing pain throughout your whole body, similar to being pricked by needles, and then it stopped. You touched the wall to check, and your hand didn’t go through, it was solid.
You stumbled a bit apon moving your leg. You have to get used to your body weight now. This alerted the white and golden brown bundle of fur laying in his dog bed. His ears immediately perked up and he strutted to the closet door. He starts to bark at it and you hold your breath in fear.
Hank, go lay down.
Chaeyoung drops another piece of beef in the pan before telling Hank to quiet down. She reached for a bowl and opened the rice cooker.
Hank tries to pry the closet door open and now you think he can smell you. His claws scratch at the door and you really don’t want Chaeyoung to come over here and open the closet. So you open it a little more, allowing Hank to wiggle in. Much to your horror, he barks. You scoop him up in your arms trying to shush him.
In a span of 15 seconds, just about everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong.
Hank continues to bark, his tail wagging incredibly fast, hits the lightweight closet door. Pushing it open. He doesn't heed Chaeyoung’s command for him to quiet down this time. You put him down just as Chaeyoung turns around to see what's going on.
She locks eyes with you, and in an instant she's on the floor.
You panic and mutter a curse before plopping Hank back down and running to her. He follows you obviously, happy as ever.
You waste no time in carrying her over to the couch. You rush back to the sink and wet a rag before returning to her side, brushing some hair out of her face.
“Oh, baby,” you pat at her forehead and neck, “I didn’t mean to scare you like that.”
It takes about a minute for her to gain consciousness again, but when she does she jumps away from you and is on the floor again. Thankfully, conscious this time.
She’s shaking and her eyes are wide like saucers. “This is a dream,” she repeats like a mantra before slapping her face and pinching any available skin on her arms. That didn’t wake her up. This “dream” if it is that, is only proving to make her sadder.
“You….how?” Her gaze trails all over you, like she’s trying to burn you in her memory. How was it possible you're standing in front of her and she’s not dreaming?
“It’s a long story, but I have time to tell you.”
She nods, “okay. okay.” she allows you to take her hand and you sit on the couch.
“I’ll start at the beginning.”
You told her how after you died in the hospital bed you became, in your terms, a spirit or ghost-like. You explained to her how you met Jessica,
You could only watch as Chaeyoung broke down. It was like you were watching yourself in third-person. You cried along with them, wondering why you're stuck here.
Your hands were see through, plasma like. And you felt light as a feather. You’d probably try and see if you could float it you weren’t so heartbroken.
You heard footsteps, thinking another doctor was going to come in the room, but it was instead people in suits, with the same ghostly aura as you. From there you met your Guide. You were asked to choose who you’d like to visit, because you were an unhappy soul. You chose your wife.
You told Chaeyoung, who has now moved into your arms, that you’ve been listening to her. Sending her signs, little things to make her day a little better. And by the end of your talk she was reduced to tears. You kissed her forehead,
“I’m allowed twelve hours with you. And then I’m assuming I’m going to pass on after that.”
“I don’t want to be…selfish, but only twelve? Though, I’m happy you’re here.” She sniffles.
“Yes. Right now is all about you, it’s your call. Did you want to finish eating?”
She began to shake her head. She doesn’t wanna waste time. You stopped her.
“Love, you need to eat. Ramen noodles and takeout aren't the best things to eat everyday. I’m here to make sure you take care of yourself, after all.”
She sat in the kitchen eating while watching you play with Hank. It makes her heart ache, knowing this really is the last time, but it aches in a good way.
She finishes eating rather fast and is quick to put her arms around you again. You were warm. She’ll miss holding you the most.
“Why don’t we go to the bedroom, hm?” You suggest. Though Chaeyoung refuses to let go of you, so you two waddle up the stairs and into the bedroom, her back hugging you the whole way. Hank follows.
You plop down on the bed, holding your arms out for her. She dives into your embrace, “Movie?” she mumbles. You turn on a show that you were binge watching together. Hank curls up at the end of the bed.
It’s two episodes later, with you massaging Chaeyoung’s scalp, when you notice she’s falling asleep. She tries to fight it, occasionally moving around or asking you things, but it's not very effective. Everything is catching up to her, and you massaging her scalp makes her more tired.
“Chae, want to take a nap? You're tired.” She shakes her head and you know it’s her not wanting to waste the time you have left.
“I’ll wake you up, promise. I want you to sleep for at least four hours. I’ll be here the whole time.” She agrees, reluctantly. She moves so that now her head rests on your chest and she lays on top of you. Then she fell asleep, free of tossing and turning.
True to your word, you woke her up in four hours. Your version of waking her up goes like; butterfly kisses all over her face. Her tired and swollen features are returning to normal.
She wakes up with a smile; relieved because you're still here and nostalgic because you really did always wake her up like this. She rolls to the side, and you face her.
Barely-dormant tears now brim again, threatening to spill at any second. "You’d still be here right now if I never went out. You’d still—" She starts, blaming herself.
"Stop. Don't think like that," you soothe, wiping her tears away. "We have no idea what would've happened if I did or didn’t, and getting caught up on the what-ifs isn't going to solve anything. Just know that none of what happened is your fault."
"You have to let go of all this pain," you whisper softly, letting your eyes track all over her face. You'll never get tired of seeing her. She’s beautiful, "and I'm not asking you to forget about me or be okay with what happened, but I need you to accept it and start moving forward."
“That’s easier said than done,” she snarks, instantly regretting it when you tense up.
"All this grief you feel," you continue, "is love that has no place to go. Please don't waste it on this; use it to make all kinds of happy memories. Live every second you've got left to the fullest and tell me about all of it when we meet again."
Some tears fall from your eyes now as well, and you're a bit shocked because you didn't expect to have that ability anymore. Chaeyoung wipes them with her palms before holding your face in her hands. You melt into her touch; you’ll miss her embrace more than anything.
"I have no idea how I'm going to do this without you, (Y/n), but I'll try, okay? I'll do all the things we wanted to with the kids and probably cry the whole time. I’ll live on days and see things that’ll remind me of us and wonder if you’d think the same. I'll do it because I love you, not because I think it'll be easy." She finishes and you smile at her.
“About six hours.” You inform and she nods. Her eyes drop to your lips before meeting your eyes again shyly. She wants nothing more than to kiss you again.
"Will...will you kiss me?" It sounds silly saying it out loud. The question itself sounds ridiculous and even she finds it stupid. You're her wife for god’s sake!
You lean down until your noses are brushing and she feels your lips press against hers. It’s soft, warm. So very delicate. And that’s the thing with your kisses: They’re always so gentle, but they also hold a lot of passion and love. They make her melt.
As soon as you part from her lips Chaeyoung is pulling you back in, kissing you deeper. Her hands roamed. She needs to imprint you this moment in her mind, to remember every feeling and sensation, and pushes away the reality of your impending departure. And she does so as if it’s her last.
One last time.

Tumblr media
Kim Jennie did not have a good reputation, and she didn’t really give a shit about it.
At least, that’s what everyone thought. That’s what everyone knew, with the numerous articles a week about South Korea’s resident fuckgirl, with Dispatch’s 20 cameramen hired just to follow Jennie. She was careless, she was cold, and she care what anyone else said about her.
What no one cared about was Jennie’s reasoning. Because while the first time sneaking out to a club and losing herself in fruit-flavored shots and skimming touches was simply for the fun of it, it was the aftereffect that made her keep going. Because with the articles of Kim Jennie’s newest scandal, Blackpink’s album sales shot through the roof, YG’s stocks completely flipped around, and Jennie herself decided it was worth it. It didn’t matter if her members looked at her a little differently, like they didn’t recognize her, or if she was the only one constantly excluded from appreciation tweets on Twitter. If acting out would help promote them more than her agency ever did, she could do it.
And she did. For almost a year, Jennie became Kpop’s most well-known idol, for better or for worse. For almost a year, Blackpink’s sales were unmatched by any group or artist around the world and Jennie couldn’t read her Instagram comments without wanting to throw up.
It took a year for YGE to finally do something, and by then, Jennie wasn’t sure she particularly cared anymore.
“Jennie.”
“Youngshik.” Her voice was scarily steady and her face just as calm; Jennie knew that the her from ten years ago, the teenager who was accepted into the company under Youngshik’s watch, wouldn’t be able to recognize her as she sat before the man with crossed arms and a blank expression. But as he stared at her with disappointment glazing his eyes, Jennie lifted her chin higher, almost daring him to speak.
When he did, he sounded almost cautious of his words. “Jennie, I know you. This isn’t like you at all, you can’t carry on like this.”
“What do you know about me?” She had to keep herself from wincing at her own tone, sharp enough to draw blood. “Huh? You haven’t cared about me for the past year, haven’t cared about us. And who the fuck said I can’t carry on? I’m doing just fine.”
Youngshik shook his head. “Please. Ch-- your members know. I know. All you may see right now is the attention you’re gaining, the fleeting ecstasy you get every night, but you aren’t doing yourself any favors right now.”
As much as she hated it, Youngshik’s words cut deep. She wanted to scream out that she was doing this for her members, for the company, and that it didn’t matter what her reputation was like, but Jennie schooled herself into the person everyone believed and knew her to be. “I’m the only thing keeping you afloat right now. You’re wasting them-- Chaeng, Lisa, Jisoo. They keep practicing but you waste them. I’m only doing what you won’t,” Jennie defended herself, anger seeping into her voice at the thought of her members.
“Jennie. MNet has threatened to drop you from the next season of Queendom.” The man’s voice was quiet but deadly, and Jennie couldn’t seem to open her mouth at the thought of her members’ practice being wasted because of her. Youngshik took that as a sign to continue, “I realize that what you’re doing is increasing sales, but netizens hate you right now. You know that, don’t you? We’re trying to help.”
“Oh yeah? How’re you going to help?” Jennie sighed. “Lock me up in your dungeon again?”
“Quite the opposite,” he answered, leaning forward. “We’re going to keep you in check. The only thing that Dispatch likes more than clubbing scandals is leaked couples, and that’s what we’re going to give them.”
She crossed her arms and leaned back. “And how is that going to keep me in check? Dispatch already knows I like girls, giving me a well-behaved boyfriend isn’t going to be believable.’
Just as the words left her mouth, a knock sounded on the frosted glass pane in Youngshik’s office door, and the man stood. “You’ll see once you meet her.”
Her?
Jennie didn’t turn even when she heard the door open, or when Youngshik murmured, “Junho, thank you for coming.”
“Of course. This is her?”
“This is her. Jennie?”
She finally turned, face impassive, but Jennie couldn’t stop her eyes from widening when she saw the person standing in the doorway. You-- she recognized you, specifically the polite smile you wore on your face as you offered a handshake. She remembered hearing you be praised for your constant professionalism, your sterling reputation, and your bubbly personality. “Hi, I’m Y/N. I’m a big fan of yours.”
“Jennie Kim, but I’m assuming you already knew that,” she said by way of greeting. You nearly winced at her flat tone, but the mask remained on and you gingerly took the empty seat just by her. “So. Am I the only one in the dark here?”
“Not anymore,” Junho smiled. Unlike Youngshik, he looked pleasant, a smile crinkling at the side of his eyes, but Jennie disliked him nonetheless. “The two of you know by now that you’re being set up in a fake relationship. Jennie, YGE’s main concern with you is your reputation. You club, you drink, you... sleep with people.”
She simply nodded, waiting for the point. Youngshik jumped in, “Y/N, on the other hand, has a stellar reputation. Never has had a scandal in her career, except when she publicly came out, and even that had a good reception.”
“How nice,” Jennie deadpanned.
Junho sighed, folding his hands in his lap. “Miss Kim. Despite your shortcomings and the methods that you achieved such fame, you are nonetheless the most well known female idol in the world. From this relationship, you’ll gain stability as well as a cover, a perfectly sweet girlfriend who’ll lighten your image up. And Y/N will receive more attention by your side, exactly what we want for her and her group. Is that clear?”
Jennie wished she could say no-- after all, you obviously weren’t going to-- but she also knew that the two men were right. She could profit, achieve exactly what she was trying to do, but with less damage done to Blackpink’s image. And as much as she wished she could rebel, she found herself sighing through tightened lips. “Clear. I agree.”
“You didn’t exactly have a choice.” Still, Youngshik slid a contract and a pen across the table, and Jennie signed in the blank without a second glance. “Good. Though we realize that this relationship is fake, we want you to at least pretend to be in love, so get to know each other. It’ll be a while.”
“Great,” you sighed. Jennie was slightly surprised by the hint of sarcasm in your voice, but she lost interest when you assumed a polite smile yet again. “How do we do that?”
Junho exchanged a glance with Youngshik but answered by himself, “If it was me, I’d start with a coffee.”
Tumblr media
“Can I order something for you?”
“I’m good.”
Your smile was tight, and Jennie wondered how many snide comments she could make before you snapped. But apparently, one wasn’t enough, as you tugged your mask up. “Okay. I’ll get something for you when you feel like it, just wait for me in that booth.”
Without something to argue about, Jennie could only obey, sliding into the booth furthest away from any people. She sighed, staring at the ceiling; she hated that you were being pushed into the contract to save her, and she hated even more that she was purposefully being so difficult for you to deal with. But the truth was that Jennie couldn’t let you keep her in check, couldn’t let you get under her skin or change her from the way that she had been for years. No matter what YGE said, she was succeeding, and she wasn’t having the worst time in the world while she did.
“Uh. I got you a green juice, I hope you don’t mind.”
Jennie stared at you as you slid the bottle over the table to her, removing your mask just to flash her an annoyingly sweet smile. “I didn’t ask for it.”
You shrugged, “Oh, I know. But I read somewhere that you liked green juices, and I didn’t feel right letting you- letting my girlfriend go without a drink.”
“Don’t call me that.” Jennie cleared her throat when she realized how cruel she sounded, and rephrased it softer. “Don’t.”
“Okay. I understand,” you mumbled, clasping your hands over the iced Americano you held. “So. When did we start dating?” When Jennie frowned in confusion, you clarified, “We’re supposed to have a believable, synced story, right? To seem more real?”
The other girl bit her lip but nodded in agreement. “You’re right. Would two months be enough?”
Jennie wanted to tell you to stop pursing your lips when you thought, wanted to make you stop looking so approachable and sweet when you were sitting across from the most-hated idol in Korea. But she shut herself up, if only not to offend someone who she’d be spending a lot of time with. “I think so. We could say that we met at the Gayo Daejeon, since that was three months ago. I asked for your number,” you hummed and pulled out a notepad. “And a month after becoming friends, you asked me on a date.”
“Why did I ask you on a date?” Jennie asked, eyebrows raised.
“I asked for your number, let’s keep it fair,” you answered with a slight chuckle. “Okay. What would you want to do on a date?”
She considered the question, tapping her nails against the table. “The Han River? Lots of people go in masks, so it’s possible for us to have gone without anyone seeing us. There’s food, nice scenery, we could take pictures--”
“You’re a real romantic, Kim Jennie,” you smiled, pen scratching against the paper of your notepad. “Okay. And we don’t live with each other, since you have a dorm... one of us has to be caught on the route between to make it believable.”
“I don’t think we have to.” Jennie crossed her arms, not moving even when you turned your notepad so she could see. “We just need to be seen in public together a couple times, hold hands once. Dispatch will eat it up.”
You sighed softly and tucked the notebook away. “Okay. At-- at least add me on Kakao. So we can communicate and stuff.”
She stood, tugging her jacket on and her hat down to hide her eyes. “Don’t have Kakao. Have a nice day, Y/N Y/L/N.”
And just like that, with a jingle of the front door’s bell, she was gone, and you could only stare at the untouched bottle of juice across from you or the glass door swinging closed.
Tumblr media
Jennie liked practicing with her members. Of course she did-- there was no one she loved more than those 3 girls, and spending time with them was always exactly what she needed. And practice reminded her of better, simpler times: learning a new choreo with Lisa for the next evaluation, practicing English with Chaeng, or asking Jisoo for help with vocals. There were memories in the scratches on the floorboards of the practice rooms, and Jennie liked feeling them every time she stepped inside.
But besides that, it was a secure place. No Dispatch, no cameras, and certainly no PR stunt girlfriends. It was supposed to be her happy place, her home away from the dorm, and the last resort for time alone.
Of course, you had to change that.
“Jennie, Y/N’s here to see you.”
At the sound of her manager’s voice, Jennie’s ankle twisted and she fell to the ground, still panting from dancing. Jisoo bent down to help her up, Chaeyoung and Lisa stopping their practices too. “What?”
He raised an eyebrow, tilting his head towards the hallway outside. “Your ‘girlfriend’. She’s here to see you.”
Lisa gasped at that, her head whipping towards Jennie. “Jennie unnie! You have a girlfriend? Since when?”
Jennie winced and waved Jisoo off before walking towards the door. “I... I’ll explain later. Don’t worry about it, keep practicing. I’ll catch up.”
As soon as she stepped outside, she found you standing there, your smile so wide, as if she hadn’t been so cold to you since the beginning. “Hi, Jennie.”
“Why’re you here?”
You barely faltered at the tone of her voice, holding out one of two bubble teas towards her. “I brought you boba, I thought you might need a rest from practicing. And don’t worry, Dispatch got the pictures they needed, I ‘forgot’ to put on a mask when I got out of the car just outside the building.”
Jennie sighed, but she accepted the offered cup anyway. She was thirsty; all she could hope was that you wouldn’t take it as a sign to keep coming to see her. “And? I thought we agreed that we only needed to be seen in public when our companies schedule it.”
“Well, I’m not just here for the PR,” you frowned. “You’re obviously opposed to actually dating me, or even from becoming friends with me, but it’ll be miserable if we’re both mean to each other. Let’s at least be civil, okay?”
Why? she wanted to ask. How? How can you be so positive even when faced with me? She pursed her lips, taking a sip of the drink. Somehow, you’d gotten her favorite flavor just right, and maybe the sugar rushing in her blood was what prompted her to say, “Civil. Sure. Thank you for the boba, Y/N.”
“Of course!” you grinned. You startled Jennie when you went to take your flannel off, even more so when you reached out to give it to her. “Here, take this.”
“Um. Why?”
Sighing jokingly, you pressed it into her hand. “Next time, you’re coming to see me. If you wear this while you’re caught on film, it’ll raise a lot of suspicions. Exactly what we want, right?”
Jennie nodded at that, closing her fist around the fabric. “Right. So, are you... planning to watch us practice?”
“Oh, no,” you shook your head, waving your hands. “No, I’ll probably just hang around. Unless you want me to?”
Some tiny, annoying section in the back of her mind wanted to say ‘yes’, but Jennie could hear Chaeyoung laughing in the practice room, and the thought of introducing you to her members wasn’t exactly appealing. “No. That’s okay. Thank you for stopping by,” she attempted a smile. Thankfully, you just bowed and waved goodbye again before turning around the corner, and Jennie relaxed with a sigh.
But your smile lingered in her mind. The first time she saw you, she thought it was genuine-- maybe you were just that polite, just that professional, even with how impossible it was. But talking to you on her own, she saw too many false grins, too much effort being put into keeping that likeable, fun personality up.
Perhaps she wasn’t the only one who was lying, but that fact did nothing but scare her more.
Tumblr media
“So. Are we gonna talk about Y/N?”
Jennie sighed, keeping her eyes on the road. “No.”
“Really? Because you didn’t exactly look happy after talking to the person who’s supposed to be your girlfriend.”
The rapper raised her eyebrows even though Jisoo couldn’t see it over the phone. “Well, she isn’t exactly my real girlfriend.”
In the background, Chaeyoung asked, “What? Then why did our manager say she was?”
“It’s a PR stunt,” Jennie said bluntly. Her manager sighed in the front seat but didn’t speak. “That’s it. Y/N has a good reputation, I don’t. I’m in the biggest girl group in the world, she isn’t. We’re benefiting from each other.”
Lisa groaned into the phone, her voice tinny over speaker. “Is that seriously it? I only heard you guys talking, but she’s trying so hard, and you’re shutting her down. It could be good for you, unnie.”
Jennie pinched her nosebridge and pleaded, “Can we please not talk about this? I’m just doing this-- it’s a PR stunt. Nothing else to it. I gotta go anyway.” She ended the call before anyone could say something, leaning back and pressing her hands to her eyes.
“I don’t understand why you’re so opposed to this, Jennie.”
“Please. Shut up,” Jennie groaned, reaching for the flannel on her lap as the car lurched a stop. The smell of perfume swept over her as she tugged the clothing on, leaving her mask off but donning the sunglasses that she’d been paid to wear. “Thank you for driving me, I’ll see you in half an hour.”
Her manager called out, “One hour. Try to have fun, okay?”
It wasn’t like Jennie couldn’t hear the click of cameras following her as she buzzed herself into the apartment building, couldn’t see the flashes half-hidden in the surrounding bushes. But she schooled her expression and let herself into the building, engulfed in silence once again for the 7 minutes before she reached your apartment door.
“Hi, Jennie,” you greeted when you opened the door. It was disarming to see that perfectly crafted, perfectly kind expression, but Jennie followed you inside anyway.  To be honest, the way you decorated your apartment was almost a perfect reflection of the you that you presented-- sweet, comfortable, but a completely blank slate that could be arranged easily. No pictures decorated the walls, just like how your easy smile never left your face, and the only things on your expensive glass shelves were awards and your own albums. But you smiled, “The flannel looks good on you.”
“Thanks. You can have it back,” Jennie mumbled, peeling it off and draping it over one of the acrylic chairs that tastefully decorated your living room. “It’s a nice place. You’re lucky to live alone.”
You hummed, clearing a pile of papers off the couch so that she could sit. “Sure, I guess. It’s a lot lonelier than the dorm, but it is nice to have all the space to myself.”
“Right.” She sat obediently and accepted the petite cup of coffee that you pushed towards her. “So, what are we supposed to do for an hour?”
“I thought we could watch Netflix and grab some takeout,” you chuckled embarrassedly, reaching for the remote. “I can’t really cook, but I’ll pay for anything you want to order.”
Jennie should’ve asked for pizza, jajangmyeon, something inexpensive but universally enjoyable. But the more she looked at you, the more she realized that for all your effort, nothing she did could possibly break you. Making dinnner for you once, even becoming friends with you and pulling away again, wouldn’t change anything when everything she saw of you was... false. So she stood, made her way to the kitchen, and opened to the fridge. “I can cook. What have you got?”
“Oh, you don’t have to,” you protested and followed her over. “I’m serious, I can pay for anything you want.”
The rapper ignored you and frowned at a tub of kimchi. “How does kimchi jigae sound? You’ve got close to nothing in here.”
You were silent for a moment, but sighed and moved to open your cupboards. “Kimchi jigae sounds great. You’re going to be carrying this dinner, I hope you know.”
“That’s no problem,” Jennie chuckled, turning to you slightly. “By the way, have you got any soju?”
Tumblr media
“I thought you’d have a better alcohol tolerance.”
“Why?” Jennie groaned, head clutched in her hands. The steam from the cup of coffee that she convinced Chaeyoung to buy for her was absolutely going to melt her makeup, but under the LED lights of the waiting room, she wasn’t sure she cared.
Lisa sighed and patted her shoulder softly as she passed by. “I mean, wasn’t there a month where you went to a different club every night? It’d be weird if you did that completely sober.”
Jennie frowned; she wished she could tell Lisa that she actually spent every night of that month huddled in the corner with a mocktail, hoping to the heavens that Dispatch didn’t burst their way inside and find her hiding. But she shook it off and replied flippantly, “Drinking a lot doesn’t increase everyone’s tolerance, believe it or not. Maybe Y/N just had really strong soju.”
Before the dancer could respond, Jisoo opened the door and popped her head inside. “Hey, guys, they’re ready for us to start filming. And, Jen-- you have a visitor.”
“Who?” she groaned in answer, struggling to her feet and wincing as she removed her sunglasses.
Her question was answered as she reached the stage, finding a familiar face among the camera directors. “Y/N?” she squinted.
“Hey, Jennie!” you shouted with your hands cupped around your mouth. The smile on your face was a little wider than usual, poked into your cheeks differently. It was pretty, Jennie realized, and more genuine. “Good luck!”
Before she could ask what you were doing, huddling with the cameramen while she prepared to film her first Queendom stage, she was called up on stage. But for once, Jennie could feel a smile tugging at her lips as she got into formation, a smile that she hadn’t been able to pull off for a while.
You startled her by cheering her name just before filming began, and inciting laughter from the crew. Some warm flower blossomed in her chest as Jennie spoke her first line, her voice more steady than it had ever been during practice.
As soon as she finished the first attempt at the group shot, Jennie bent down at the edge of the stage and beckoned you forward. “Hey. What’re you doing here?”
“I’m cheering you on, of course.” Jennie found a banner with her name on it in your hands as you approached, the tip of your nose cold from the air-con in the studio. “You did great.”
“Thanks,” she chuckled softly, feeling the banner between her fingertips. “Where’d you even get this?”
You shrugged, “Bought it. I had to make an account and all, so you better be feeling more energized.”
“I am.” Jennie herself was surprised at how true the statement was; for some reason, seeing your dyed hair in the crowd of cameras was like a shot of pure adrenaline, just more intense and gratifying. She smiled, “I am. It’s really nice of you to come, Y/N.”
“Of course,” you said, waving the banner around with a grin creasing in the corners of your eyes. “We’re girlfriends, after all. And I’m your friend.” At the call of a director, though, you stepped back. “I should let you film.”
“Y/N?” Jennie called after you. When you turned to face her again, Jennie allowed her customary gummy smile to take over her face as she said softly, “You can call me Jen. All my friends do.”
You were too far away for her to hear your answer, but the excited little jump you made as you walked back to your spot kept the grin on Jennie’s face as she stood again. She missed the relieved glances her members exchanged behind her back, but she could feel a new kind of energy coursing through her as the director started his countdown again. And-- she kind of liked it.
Tumblr media
You hated the popular belief that idols who presented the sweetest, kindest version of themselves to the internet got absolutely no hate. Fans, family, managers-- they all believed that never letting your smile slip and never having a single scandal would protect an idol completely. When you were deciding on your persona for your debut, you thought the same, and so you forced yourself into the happy, positive personality that the world knew.
However, for all your effort, for all the things you had to endure with that same smile on your face, people hated you. They called you fake, tried their best to get under your skin just so they could see you fall. But it was too late to fight back, because that wouldn’t become the kind, sweet Y/N. It was too late to ask for help, and it was too late to let yourself cry.
When you met Jennie, you were determined to keep her on the outside of that precious mask you could never remove. After all, what would she understand? She did what she wanted to, didn’t care what people said about her, and she was strong. Jennie was as strong as you wished you could be, and you were sure that she would never understand. But the more that you saw her and the more that you talked to her, the more you understood that you were one and the same. That tough, carefree version of Jennie was what protected her, just like your perfectly engineered smile.
The first time you saw Jennie laugh, you knew that you were in deep. She didn’t know a single thing about you, but she was letting her walls down and letting you in-- or at least, the you she knew. But you liked her smile so much that you wanted to keep it there, at any cost. And maybe it meant sacrificing yourself.
“Are you ready?”
“For what? Walking through the street, undisguised enough that Dispatch will recognize us but no one else will?” At your pout, Jennie stopped her grumbling and laughed softly, still adjusting her scarf in the car mirror. “Yeah. I’m ready.”
A beat of silence passed as she grabbed your hand and led you out of the parking garage and onto Garosu-gil. “Hey. Y/N, I want to tell you something.”
“Yeah?”
“I... I’m glad it’s you.” Jennie squeezed your hand, her skin slightly cold with the wind blowing softly around the two of you. “I’m glad you’re the one I’m doing this with.”
You wished that she wouldn’t say that. You wished she’d feel anything else towards you-- contempt, hatred, even, despite everything you’d gone through just to become civil. But you squeezed back, flashed a smile that didn’t quite reach your eyes. “Me too. You know, it’d be a lot worse if they set me up with a guy.”
“Why would they?” Jennie frowned in answer. “You came out on your own.”
“Unlike you, I didn’t prove it. You know Korea, you aren’t gay until you prove you are,” you sighed, scuffing your shoes against the cobblestones. “They wanted to set me up with a guy at first, but they decided that accepting YG’s offer for me to date you would be more beneficial.”
The other girl paused, and you didn’t quite dare to look up. “Oh. So you didn’t choose to help me, did you?”
You shook your head quietly, expecting Jennie to react badly. But she huffed out a breath and pushed your arm softly. “That’s okay. We’re friends, anyway, and it was hard for you to get us here already. I appreciate you, you know.”
Opening your mouth to respond, you noticed yet another camera flash, just between two buildings ahead of you. “What?” Jennie asked, following your gaze.
“I-- Don’t hate me for this, okay?” you whispered, stopping in the middle of the road. Before she could say anything, you placed your hands lightly on her jaw, pulling Jennie towards you; before your lips actually met, though, you gave her a second to pull away. Instead, she leaned forward just the slightest bit, barely enough to connect.
You didn’t quite dare to move, but Jennie’s hands rested on your waist and pulled you into her, just enough that your lips slotted together. You could barely hear the clicks of the camera, the warmth of the girl that you were kissing completely clouding your brain.
Before anything else happened, you released your grip and stepped away, lips suddenly cold. “I think that’s enough,” you whispered, linking your hands again and lowering your head.
Jennie laughed breathlessly and continued to stroll along when you prompted her to. “That’s all you have to say?”
“Um. Sorry?”
She only giggled harder at that, shoving you slightly. “What are you even sorry for? You’re a good kisser, Y/N.”
“Shut up,” you groaned, heat rising to your ears as you shoved her back. “How do you even say that with a straight face?”
“Hey, I had to listen to Lisa say ‘bitch I’m a star but not Patrick’, I think I can handle this,” Jennie joked. Despite all your effort not to, you found yourself staring at her smile again, losing yourself and any other worries bothering you in it, and her, once again.
Tumblr media
Jennie frowned at her phone-- or actually, at the blankness of her texting history with you. After the little PR stunt at Garosu-gil, you hadn’t contacted her once, and she didn’t dare to surprise you at your apartment or properly ask you what was going on.
“Haven’t you heard the saying that a watched kettle never boils?”
“I’m pretty sure it’s a pot,” Jennie replied listlessly, still staring at her screen. “But I have heard it, yes. I’m just hoping the universe proves it false.”
Chaeyoung sighed and hugged her older member from behind, swaying back and forth. “Why don’t you just message her? Or go see her? Our manager won’t say anything about it if you just say it’s for PR.”
“It is,” Jennie frowned, turning to her member. The Australian girl raised an eyebrow, and Jennie bit her lip. “Okay. Maybe it isn’t.”
“It definitely isn’t,” Chaeyoung rolled her eyes. “I saw those kiss pics, you know. And no one kisses like that if it’s ‘just PR’. You like each other, unnie, and it’s time to face it.”
Jennie swatted Chaeyoung’s arm. “That’s so cheesy, shut up. But... do you really think I like her?”
“That’s a question for you to answer,” the younger girl pointed out. “But I’ve known you for close to a decade. If I’m right about this, and Im sure I am, everything’s about to change for you.”
“Ugh, cheesy again,” Jennie groaned, but she stood hesitantly nonetheless. “But... I guess I’ll give it a shot.”
On her way down the stairs, the rapper dialed her manager on her phone and held it up to her ear while she waited for the dial tone to fade. “You’re driving me to Y/N’s house,” she said by way of greeting. “And it’s not just for PR.”
She was sure that no car ride had ever gone slower; Jennie fidgeted the entire way, cursing every bus that blocked her way and scowling as the sun began to set behind a set of buildings in the distance. The more she thought about it, the more definite it was-- she liked you, more than she thought she could like a person. And while that fact would’ve scared her, should’ve scared her, it didn’t. Because it was you, and nothing about you could scare her anymore.
Somehow, the process of buzzing herself in at the building’s front, taking the same elevator up to the 67th floor, and hurrying her way down blue-carpeted hallways had become familiar. Jennie knocked persistently on the door of your apartment and called out, “Hey, Y/N, let me in. It’s Jennie.”
It took a while for anything to happen, and Jennie was almost backing away by the time that the door finally cracked open. For once, the smile on your face was missing, replaced by a guarded, harsher expression than the other girl was used to seeing. “Jen. What’s up?”
“Uh,” she hesitated, “can I come in? I don’t think we can talk in the hallway.”
You looked like you wanted to say no, but with a pleading look from Jennie, you backed away and let the door swing open. Jennie shut it quietly, following you into the living room, where you stood with your arms crossed. “So. What can’t we talk about in the hallway?”
Jennie wanted to say outright the words that were beating in her throat, but the expression on your face alarmed her. You were like a stranger-- or, maybe, she realized that you had finally let your mask down. “I... Y/N, are you okay?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you responded. Suddenly, the roles were reversed;  Jennie was the one reaching out for you, maybe even chasing after you, and you were somehow the one who was turning away.
“Okay,” Jennie said quietly. You were about to turn away, probably assuming that she was going to leave, but if Jennie had learned anything from you, it was that she couldn’t give up that easily if she wanted you to open up. “What do you want from me?”
“I don’t want anything from you,” you responded instantly. Your words only hurt more when you didn’t look up from the television, continuing, “I don’t want you, and I don’t want anything from you--”
“You don’t get to say that to me.” Anger was once again rushing through Jennie’s veins, though not the kind of anger she was used to experiencing. No, she wasn’t mad at your words in the slightest, or even offended-- she was simply pissed off about the fact that you were shutting her down, and she didn’t know why. “Not when you were the one who started this. Y/N, you wanted me once, you don’t get to go back on that without an explanation,” Jennie gritted her teeth, gripping your forearms in her hands.
You finally turned when she shook you lightly, your face blank. “What, I don’t get to shut myself down? You did it the entire time I was trying, giving my all so that you’d talk to me or even just be civil.”
Jennie pleaded, “You succeeded, didn’t you? You’re right that I was a total bitch when all you were trying to do was be nice and make this tolerable for the both of us, but you succeeded. Okay? You-- you’ve made your place in my heart, and I’m not even angry about it. I just... I just like you that much.”
A derisive scoff escaped your lips as you twisted your arms out of her reach, stepping away. “You like me? Jennie, you don’t even know me. This me, the smiles and boba and everything, it’s a facade.” You threw your hands up in the air, biting down on your lip before sighing out, “It’s fake. All of it.”
“I know it isn’t,” Jennie shook her head desperately. She searched your eyes, scanned the sea of the color she’d grown to love, for some semblance of the person she remembered kissing her. “Look, you kissed me. And I know it was for the cameras, but you can’t tell me that you felt nothing from it. Y/N, you’re a good liar, but you can’t lie to me, not about this.”
You were quiet at that, glancing down at the floor as if you had nothing to say. “I didn’t,” you finally answered, tone firm. “Maybe you did, but I--”
Unable to stop herself, Jennie rushed forward again and tugged you into another kiss, her hands scrunching into the hair splayed over your shoulders. She was almost afraid that you’d push her away, curse her and throw her out of your apartment, but she felt your lips moving against yours. She felt your hands splay on her back, and she felt tears slipping down your face.
When you finally did push her away, it was gentle, though you were rough when you wiped the tears off your face. Jennie wished you’d speak first, but she brought herself to speak. “If your smiles were fake, think of the real ones you brought to me. Even if my smiles were from your facade, that’s still a part of you. I know that though you weren’t trying to, you let me see the real you. And I’m willing to see the rest of you,” Jennie smiled, clasping your hands within hers. Sometime along the way, she’d started crying too, but the salt of those tears was almost honeyed on her lips. “If you want me to.”
“I do,” you sighed, accepting the kiss that Jennie pressed to your forehead with a teary smile. “I want nothing more than that, Jen. And-- I’m sorry.”
“Why?” she laughed, wiping the tears of your face so much gentler than you did. “I know what I want now. It’s you, and it has been you since you tried buying me a green juice in that damn coffee place. I like you, Y/N. So much.”
You tucked your face into the crook of her neck and snaked your arms around her waist again. “I like you too. More than I ever thought I could.”
And maybe, just maybe, you knew what you wanted too. Somehow, that mask you wore had long been tossed to the side. Somehow, each kiss pressed to your face by the girl you never knew you needed to find lingered on your skin like the touch of a miracle, and the smile on your face was finally, finally genuine like you had always wanted it to be.

Blackpink reaction to their s/o being jealous
Jisoo
Tumblr media
Jisoo realized the minute that she came home from work that something was off about you today. Instead of greeting her with one of your wide, contagious smiles and starting to ask her about her day, you only allowed her to leave a quick kiss on your cheek before basically pretending that she wasn’t there. She simply assumed that you had had a bad day today, so she sat down next to you on the couch and tried her best to distract you by telling you funny stories from her day on set. A lot of things had happened today and Jisoo thought she was doing you a favor until a comment from you took her aback.
“...and I complained because he didn’t bring me a coffee, so during the next break Hae-In promptly brought me a large coffee and my favorite snacks.”
She giggled proudly, but you didn’t seem to be as amused as her about this incident.
“Oh yeah, of course perfect Hae-In would bring you a coffee and also knows what your favorite snacks are.”
You praised Hae-In, although your cynical tone made it clear that you weren’t really meaning what you where saying. Perplexed and with narrowed eyes, Jisoo stared at you, beginning to understand why you were acting so strangely.
“Yes, I’m very glad to have him by my side. Filming this drama is a big step for me, and I wouldn’t know what to do without his support.”
She exaggerated to test her theory and like expected, you scoffed in disbelief while rolling your eyes, causing Jisoo to cross her arms defensively.
“You know, I don’t really appreciate you being jealous.”
She stated bluntly and you looked at her with a mixture of embarrassment and anger reflecting on your face.
“I’m not jealous.”
You scoffed, but Jisoo knew that you were lying. You were terrible at hiding your emotions opposing to her. Although right now, Jisoo didn’t feel like hiding hers either.
“Of course you are, but I don’t know why. I’m just doing my job and I’ve never given you a reason to mistrust me.”
She replied calmly yet determined to show you that you had upset her.
“I- it’s not like I mistrust you.”
You stuttered after you had caught up to her mood and Jisoo looked at you expectantly in order to give you a chance to explain yourself.
“I didn’t even want to be jealous, but you spent so much time on set and... I don’t know what Hae-In’s intentions are with you.”
You mumbled sheepishly, causing Jisoo to sigh.
“Y/N...I don’t care what Hae-In’s intentions are. You don’t need to worry about him, our relationship is purely professional. And about the lack of time I have for you...I promise I will make it up to you once the filming is over, ok?”
She had softened her tone again and reached over to take your hand, causing you to smile.
“Ok. I’m sorry for the little tantrum.”
You grinned apologetically and Jisoo giggled in amusement before pulling you into her arms. As long as this would be the exception and not the rule, she could live with your jealousy.
Jennie
Tumblr media
Jennie had to try her hardest not to burst out in laughter as she observed out of the corner of her eye how you almost exploded with jealousy. She was talking with some newcomer model who apparently thought that he was a big shot now just because he was invited to the Chanel after party. For almost ten minutes he had already told her about all his successes in order to woo her. Usually, Jennie would have turned him down a long time ago, but seeing you getting so agitated over this was giving her great pleasure. Therefore, she let him boast some more while keeping an eye on you before eventually deciding that she had tortured you enough.
“Excuse me please.”
Jennie smiled at the model who looked at her dumbfounded, apparently never having been interrupted  in his life before. Unbothered by his attempts to stop her from walking away, she turned on her heel and headed straight for you with a smirk playing on her lips.
“I swear to god I would have ripped his head off if he would have touched you one more time.”
You gritted through your teeth as soon as Jennie was within earshot.
“What’s wrong baby?”
She replied sweetly, pretending to be clueless.
“Don’t feign innocence. I know that you did that on purpose.”
You grumbled, causing Jennie to giggle before stepping closer to you in order to loosely wrap her arms around your neck.
“Aw don’t be angry baby. You just look so cute when you’re jealous.”
She cooed and you looked at her grumpily.
“I’m going to make you regret that later.”
You replied while pulling her closer by her waist to make sure that no one else would overstep their boundaries tonight, causing Jennie to smirk. Mission accomplished.
Chaeyoung
Tumblr media
Never had you ever thought that you would regret accompanying your girlfriend to work like you did right now. While clenching your jaw tightly, you watched how Chaeyoung cuddled up to Seungjoo and you felt a wave of jealousy washing over you. You knew that it was ridiculous. This was just a music video shoot after all. But somehow the way that Seungjoo pulled your girlfriend close simply drove you insane. Tensed up, you watched one take after the other until the PD was finally satisfied with the results and called it a day. Relieved, you jumped off your chair, ready to finally leave this set, but Chaeyoung took her time to thank every single staff member; especially Seungjoo of course. By the time, she was finally walking up to you with a big smile on her face, you had considered a thousand times already to simply storm off.
“I’m sorry it took so long! But it looks so amazing, doesn’t it?”
Chaeyoung squealed in joy, completely oblivious to the jealousy that was seething within you.
“Yes, amazing. Can we go now?”
You answered brusquely, much to the confusion of your girlfriend who still complied to your wish though. Together you made your way to the dressing room before leaving the filming location after Chaeyoung had changed into her comfortable clothes. Her excitement from before was visibly reduced now and she silently sat beside you in the car until she broke the silence eventually.
“Don’t you like the video?”
She asked insecurely, causing you to sigh. You had to stop making her feel bad for something that wasn’t her fault.
“I do like it.”
You replied while trying to fake a smile to make your words more believable.
“Then why do you seem to be so angry?”
Chaeyoung tilted her head in confusion and you tried your best to avoid her gaze. What was the best way to tell her?
“I just...I didn’t like the way that Seungjoo touched you.”
You blurted out before hanging your head bashfully.
“Oh...I’m sorry I didn’t think about how that would make you feel.”
Chaeyoung mumbled taken aback, instantly making you feel guilty for worrying her.
“No don’t apologize, it’s ridiculous.”
You replied and your girlfriend looked at you pensively.
“I mean it is ridiculous indeed, because I would never cheat on you with Seungjoo. But I also understand where you are coming from.”
She reasoned, causing you to sigh while resting your forehead on her shoulder.
“I don’t even deserve you, Chaeng. You are way too good to me.”
You whined, feeling like you didn’t deserve the amount of understanding that your girlfriend showed you.
“True. I feel like you should start repaying me. I accept various types of payment. Food, cuddles, gifts...”
Chaeyoung said dead serious, causing you to look at her before both of you started bursting out in laughter. Maybe your first way to repay her should be by stopping to be a jealous prick...
Lalisa
Tumblr media
Grimly, you scrolled through your Twitter feed while cursing yourself for following several fan accounts for your girlfriend. All of them were talking about the same thing: how cute your girlfriend and Chaeyoung had looked together at their the fansign today. You were happy that your girlfriend had found her soulmates in her members and that they managed to make her life a little less crazy; you really were. But somehow you just couldn’t stop the green monster from overcoming you every once in a while. They spent so much time together and you knew that all of them were superior to you in every way. It was just so hard to watch them being this close. Frustrated, you spotted a clip that showed your girlfriend kissing Chaeyoung on the cheek, causing her to blush sheepishly. All those ‘Chaelisa’ shippers were really getting under your skin, even if you hated yourself for it. You knew that Lisa was the most loyal girlfriend that you could have ever wished for, nevertheless, you couldn’t help but to be jealous when you saw her pampering Chaeyoung like that. Shouldn’t that be you?
“What are you watching?”
Lisa’s voice suddenly appeared right next to your ear, managing to rip you from your brooding session. Panicked, you tried to lock your phone before your girlfriend could see what you were looking at, but Lisa had already managed to take it out of your hands. Curiously, she watched the video before looking at you again with a smirk on her face.
“Is someone jealous?”
She cooed in amusement and you looked away bashfully.
“No.”
You scoffed, but Lisa snickered knowingly.
“I think you are. Don’t you like it when I kiss other people?”
She sat down beside you and poked your cheek to annoy you.
“You can do whatever you want.”
You grumbled while swatting away her hand, causing her to giggle even more.
“Oh really? So Chaeyoung and I can do even more fan service?”
She smirked and you instantly glared at her.
“Don’t you dare.”
You blurted out before you coudl think, causing Lisa to grin triumphantly.
“Why not? I thought you weren’t jealous?”
She put her finger on her lips pensively to mock you and you rolled your eyes.
“Ok fine. Maybe I am, so don’t make it worse.”
You huffed in defeat to save yourself from even more torture. Smugly, your girlfriend giggled before suddenly putting her hand behind your head to hug you against her chest.
“You are so adorable, Y/N. Don’t worry, baby, I only have eyes for you.”
She cooed and you hesitantly gave in to her embrace. Maybe your girlfriend was mocking you right now, but you couldn’t say that her reassurance didn’t feel good...

At The End of the Day
Idol: Park Chaeyoung, Lalisa Manoban (Blackpink)
Lisa always loved the dynamic you and Chaeyoung had in your relationship. You balanced each other out and yet you were able to maintain such a healthy relationship with her even after getting together with her best friend. And with that love, she’d make sure to support the two of you no matter what.
Warning: angst, unrequited love, heartache

Tumblr media
“Yah! Lisa, put me down!” You yell while flailing your legs, fists lightly hitting the blonde’s back when she refused to set you back on the ground and even made a show of spinning you in the air.
You let out a squeal, gripping at your friend’s shirt and Chaeyoung giggled when she watched from the couch, happy to see you getting so well with her best friend. “Lisa, come on. You might drop her.” The Australian called and the dancer eventually stopped spinning, both after being told to do so and getting dizzy.
As soon as you were put down, you stumble slightly before your girlfriend took your hand, chuckling as she guided you to sit next to her whilst Lisa settled on the floor.
“You’re lucky Chaeng is here to help you.” The Thai woman pointed at you and you send her a raised brow. “So you were planning on dropping me!” You exclaim and your girlfriend grins while shaking her head. “I’d rather have my girlfriend in one piece, thank you very much.”
“I’m only going to be nice because I don’t want you celebrating an anniversary on your own.” Lisa claims, mock dismay prominent on her features and you chuck a pillow at her as she sprawls over the floor.
“Yah! That’s foul!”
“You started it.”
Chaeyoung only laughs louder at the two of you. “You guys are children, I swear.” She says while laying her head on your shoulder and you huff. “You love me anyway.” You retort and she smiles cutely at you before pecking your lips, earning a sort from her best friend. “Of course, I do.”
“Gross.” She mutters while crinkling her nose and you laugh while pulling your girlfriend to your lap and nuzzling her. “Don’t start complaining when you get a girlfriend and I call you gross.”
“It’s not like I have plans.” She tells you with a wave of her hand and Chaeyoung pouts. “Aww, what happened to that crush you had before?” She questioned and the Thai woman puffs her cheeks. “Not interested anymore.” She says calmly, though she will admit that she had gotten a bit nervous at the mention of it.
Though being you knew nothing about this little crush, your ears perked up as you stared at your friend. “You had a crush and didn’t bother telling me?” You scoff, making your girlfriend giggle. “And here I thought we were friends!”
“Nothing even happened and I don’t like them anymore!” The Thai woman replied in defense while you pouted. “Nuh uh, you were talking about them for months and suddenly you don’t like them?” Chaeyoung retorted, squinting at her best friend.
“It was a crush, no biggie.”
While she tried to shrug it off, both you and your girlfriend could only watch, opting not to probe further when you saw the slight frown on her lips and the sadness that flickered in her eyes.
Deciding to move on, you sit upright before looking at the time. “What time are Jennie unnie and Jisoo unnie coming back?” You ask and Chaeyoung hummed while she checked her phone. “Not until seven, probably.”
“Why? Are you bored of us already?” Lisa asked teasingly and you crinkle your nose before standing, earning a whine from your girlfriend since she had gotten comfortable in your arms. “Where are you going?”
You gesture to the kitchen and Lisa’s expression lights up. “Since I know you’re used to ordering food, how about we change that while I’m here?” You suggest and Chaeyoung grins widely, clapping in excitement while a squeal passed her lips. “Are you really going to cook?” She asked and you chuckle while waving a hand.
“I don’t plan on burning the kitchen, don’t worry.”
“You sure about that?”
“Shut it, Manoban.”
..
“Lisa, can you check on Y/n for me?” Chaeyoung called while she fixed up her bed and cleaned her room after insisting that you spend the night with them.
Huffing, the short haired woman crossed her arms. “Why do I have to? She’s your girlfriend.” She whined and Chaeyoung lightly rolled her eyes, not needing to look as she responded. “I know you love her, so come on.”
Lisa felt her heart stutter at her best friend’s words, but when she looked to properly see her friend, she was a little relieved to see her too preoccupied with cleaning her room. “Fine.” She says in mock exasperation before turning on her heels and heading for the living room where they had left you.
“Y/n, what are you up to?” Lisa called out when she didn’t see you in the room. However she had to pause when she came closer to the couch, only to see you fast asleep.
It looked like you were all tuckered out from cooking, cleaning up the mess you made in the kitchen, while also trying to keep your friend from stealing any of the food whilst your girlfriend watched amusedly, happy to see you both getting along so well despite the bickering.
Huffing, the Thai woman crouched down, her eyes softening as she looked closely at your face before she gently brushed your hair away, smiling as your nose crinkled before your expression turned peaceful again.
She watched you for a while, just silently admiring your features. She was so busy looking at you, she hadn’t even realized how much she had leaned in until her nose barely brushed against yours.
Her gaze shifted to your lips occasionally and she could feel as her heart quickened it’s pace. She just needed a little more push as she tilted her head and closed her eyes.
But right before she could kiss you, a tear slipped down her cheek when she remembered that you didn’t love her back.
Withdrawing her hand, she had to clench her fist before she wiped her tears away, biting her lip to hold back a sob.
You weren’t hers.
As much as she loved and cared for you, she cared deeply for Chaeyoung, too and she couldn’t do that to her.
She couldn’t kiss you, knowing full well that your hearts belonged to one another.
Fully pulling herself away from you, Lisa had to pause and took in a deep breath to compose herself before she reached out to touch your cheek, gently wiping the tear that fell on it before she decided to wake you up.
“Y/n. Get up, Chaeyoung is waiting for you in her room.” She tells you and you groan while curling further into yourself. “Y/n.” She whines, just so you couldn’t notice the sadness in her.
And she thanks the heavens that you’re too sleepy to notice or else she wouldn’t know how to properly deal with you pestering her on why she had been crying.
She watches from the door as Chaeyoung takes you into her arms, helping you into bed and then peppering your face with kisses. She can hear the silent whispers as her best friend tells you that she loves you, and it hurts even more to hear you say that you love her, too.
But Lisa wasn’t selfish.
She loved the two of you and she couldn’t be happier that her best friend found someone who loved and treated her the way she deserved.
It just stung sometimes how she found that in you and vice versa.
There are times Lisa wonders why you didn’t fall for her instead, but she wipes those thoughts away as soon as they come.
Because there was no use dwelling on what could have been.
You were happy with each other, and so was she.
All she ever wanted was for the two of you to be happy. But she didn’t expect it to be at the cost of her own happiness.
Yet here she was, watching and supporting both of you until the entire world eventually found out that you were dating Korea’s sweetheart Park Chaeyoung.
She showed her endless love for the both of you even when people turned away because you were both her best friends, and while you didn’t know how much it hurt to watch you together, you always had her back and that was more than enough for her.
Because at the end of the day, you couldn’t love her the way you loved her best friend. And at the end of the day, it was Chaeyoung who had your heart and not her.

Because I Love You: Jeongyeon X Reader
Request: Hi! I’d like to request a fluffy jeongyeon scenario where she’s jealous that you’ve been hanging out with another idol and then you two confess 🥺
Tumblr media
You and Jeongyeon have been close friends since you two were in middle school. You were both JYP trainees together, however when she debuted and you didn’t, you left JYP company. You transferred from company to company for about three years before you decided the idol life wasn’t for you. However, you did still want to pursue dance so you auditioned to be a JYP backup dancer and assistant choreographer.
During your trainee days, you trained in JYP, YG, SM, Cube, and BigHit so you knew many different idols. You also went to school at two of the more popular schools for idols and trainees. Starting at one high school and transferring your third year to finish at another. Because of this you were friends with a lot of idols. Ranging from the members of BTS and Twice all the way to rookie soloists like Somi.
So it wasn’t unusual if you were seen with one of your sunbaes on a day off. Recently, you’ve been hanging with one of your oldest friends, Lisa of Blackpink. She typically had nothing to do because her company won’t give Blackpink a comeback anytime soon. You on the other hand were preparing Twice for their comeback, but they had other schedules so you didn’t have to work for a few days.
You sat across from Lisa with one of her cats on your lap. “So any chance of comeback?” You asked her hopefully. She responded with a laugh then said “you are one funny girl.” You frowned and asked “rosie’s solo still hasn’t been brought up right?” Lisa shook her head and said “even if we don’t have comeback. I just want Rosie to have something. Jennie and I have been doing a little things here and there but Jisoo and Rosie have nothing. My Rosie Posie always gets the short end of the stick.”
You told her “You and Chaeng are cute, I want a relationship like that.” She rolled her eyes and said “Well then make your move on someone. Ooh how about Jeongyeon. You’ve liked her for a while!” You blushed and tried to cover it up but she you both knew it was true.
You both ended up hanging around the dorm until you two got hungry and went out for lunch. A few people recognized Lisa and asked for pictures and autographs. She was thrilled and told them to hold on a little longer when they asked about a comeback.
When you got back to your apartment you saw Jeongyeon sitting on the couch on her phone. “So, how was your little date with Lisa?” You could hear a twinge of annoyance in her voice which caught you off guard.
You responded “I-it was good? Are you mad at me?” She replied “me mad at you? Don’t be silly? I’m not mad? Why would I be mad? You’re spending everyday with someone else but never me your best friend. But no I’m not upset at all. It’s fine I dont care.” You furrowed your brows and asked again “so you are mad at me?”
Jeongyeon stood up and said “no I said I don’t care.” You challenged her “well clearly you do if it’s got you this worked up. And besides Lisa is ROSIE’S GIRLFRIEND. Why are you jealous?” Jeongyeon scoffed “I’m not jealous. Who said I was jealous? You’re putting words into my mouth.” You laughed in annoyance and said “i’m just saying, that’s what it looks like right now.” She responded “well I’m not.”
You absolutely refused to lose this especially because you found it kind of funny. “Well it sure sounds like it. And why does it matter who I hang out with. You were literally working all day today.” She responded “even when im not working you never hang out with me! And when you’re with other girls they’re always all flirty and up on you!” Your voices began to rise “you said you didn’t care who I hung out with!” She raised her voice louder this time “like i said earlier. I don’t!” You responded matching her volume “Well you obviously care! And why do you care if someone is flirty with me huh?!”
This time Jeongyeon took a deep breath before yelling “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU. IVE LOVED YOU SINCE WE WERE 18 YEARS OLD. SO IM SORRY IF I GET UPSET WHEN I SEE SOMEONE HUGGING ALL OVER YOU AND KISSING YOUR CHEEKS AND HOLDING YOUR HAND. BECAUSE THAT SHOULD BE ME!” You froze not knowing what to do and Jeongyeon slowly realized she just confessed her feelings to you. She responded “well say something.” You were still processing what just happened trying to make sure you heard her right.
“Ok then I’m just gonna-” Jeongyeon went to turn around and leave but you grabbed her arm. “Wait. Wait. I’m sorry I was just taken aback.” She stood in front of you and you took a step closer to her, your faces almost touching. You said “I-i love you too. A lot. I have for a long time actually.”
Without hesitation she pulled you closer to her and kissed you. You both fell onto the couch where she deepened the kiss. You stayed like that for a few more seconds until she pulled away. Jeongyeon’s strong arms wrapped around you and she asked “be mine?” You smiled and nodded earning a small kiss on the lips before she held you closer.

Broken bones
Rosé X Reader
Requested by anon
Type: One shot
About: You get in a car crash and your girlfriend Rosé is torn to pieces.
Warnings: Angst and fluff, swearing.
The car came out of nowhere. It snapped your neck forward and knocked the car flying. Luckily, you were the only one in the car so no one else got hurt, but you can’t say the same for yourself.
“Y/N! Y/N!” Rosé was running through the hospital, yelling your name. She had been called as the emergency contact on your medical records, and so when you were checked into the hospital by the ambulance drivers, she was called right away. It was currently 3:00. You were driving to your afternoon/evening shift at a local restaurant when the car hit you. Your parents were yet to be called but as you didn’t live with them, and with your girlfriend, she was the one who was on your emergency contact. No one was with you at the moment as you were still in surgery to remove shrapnel from your body but Rosé spend way over the speed limit as fast as possible. Her heart was racing and her thoughts automatically thought the worst when she got the call.
“Please tell me where Y/N Y/L/N is!” she yelled at the fragile looking woman at the desk. The woman looked startled as she checked through the folders on the computer, uncomfortable under Rosé’s urgent stare.  “She’s currently in surgery. If you wait in the waiting room, a doctor will come and get you when she’s out. It may be hours though,” “Okay, thank you,” Rosé sighed as she sat down in the nearest chair against the wall. She tried not to let her thoughts get carried away with what might happen to you as she opened her phone, messaging her friends and letting them know of the situation, and the opening the phone app to call Y/N’s parents. They lived 2 hours away and Rosé wasn’t sure if they’d travel that far until they knew more, so Rosé promised to update them as soon as she got more news. Time was passing slow and she sat, stressed and anxious as she waited for news on her girlfriend. She plugged in her earphones and listened to music that you both like singing to together.
The time was now 7:30 in the evening and finally a stern looking man in a white doctors coat and gold rimmed glasses approached the area. “Here for Y/N Y/L/N?” He called. Rosé stood up hastily and walked the few steps to him. “How is she?” she asked. Her throat was thick with emotions and she felt like she would break down in tears at any moment. “Her surgery was successful, but she is showing no sign of waking up at the moment. You may see her, but please only restrict touching to her hands as everything else is too sensitive to touch and we don’t want to hurt her further. If you follow me,” he walked in front as Rosé processed everything she had just been told. The doctor waited for her to catch up before opening the door of Y/N’s hospital room. He smiled at her sympathetically before he opened the door fully, and Rosé rushed in to you. “Remember only the hands, thank you. I’ll leave you now,” The doctor left and Rosé sat in the chair beside your bed. She took your hand in hers and kissed it gently. In the bed, you looked so small and vulnerable. Rosé send your parents a quick message that you were out of surgery but unconscious.
“Hey baby. I’m not sure if you can hear me but talking to you is always comforting to me. I hope you’re not in pain at the moment. I already miss you so much. I miss your beautiful eyes and lovely smile and gorgeous face. I love you,” Rosé spoke to you, mostly for her own comfort as usually when she was upset, you’d let her rant to you for hours on end.  She text her friends to tell her of your condition, to which they replied with their sympathies and even asked to come see her and you. Rosé usually seeked comfort in others, so she encouraged her friends to come, and also because they were your friends too. Also, she told them they should bring food.
The door quietly opened 30 minutes later to reveal your 3 best friends standing there. Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo came in and put the boxes of pizza on the side as they hugged Rosé for emotional strength, and then proceeded to kiss your hand as Rosé had done as it was the only way they could show you affection without worsening your injuries.  “How is she?” Lisa asked, passing Rosé a box of pizza. “The doctor said her surgery went well but she’s showing no signs of waking at the moment,” Rosé mumbled. “She looks so broken,” Jennie murmured, standing at the foot of your bed and staring. Jennie was closest to you, of course besides Rosé, and she was struggling. Her and Rosé hugged tight and even shed tears with one another.
Y/N showed no signs of waking for the next 3 months. Rosé was beginning to grow hopeless as she had to work a lot to pay your rent as you obviously weren’t working to help her. Any free moments were spent by your bed side.  “I wish you would wake. I’m so tired. Your parents are helping me with the rent so the house is still standing, though it doesn’t feel like it is when you’re not in it. I wish you would show me some sign that you’re okay,” Rosé sighed as she stared at your face. It was less broken and your whole face was now visible, though the bruising looked quite sore. Rosé wept into your shoulder as all her emotions came out. She was hopeless. The doctors were losing hope too, she could tell. Just as though her prayers had been answered, your heart monitor sped up slightly as her fingers moved. Rosé yelled for the doctor as her eyes lit up. Your eyes opened and you blinked a lot as your eyes and head adjusted to the bright, blinding light of the hospital room. The doctor, followed by nurses, came in and checked your vitals. You were yet to talk but your eyes lit up as soon as they had seen Rosé. “How do you feel Y/N?” The doctor asked.  “A little broken,” Y/N’s voice was croaky and sore as she had not spoken for months, and she had had many surgeries and things shoved down her throat as the doctors tried to figure out what was stopping you from waking up.
After what felt like forever, the doctors left and you could finally talk to Rosé. She had to restrain herself from jumping on you as you began to talk to her. “I missed you so much. I could hear you talking, and I couldn’t move or talk. It was infuriating,” you said. Your voice was beginning to adjust to how it usually sounds the more you spoke. Rosé began to cry with happiness as she held your hand tight. “I can’t believe you’re really awake. I have been waiting for this moment for 3 months,” “Wait, I’ve been out for 3 months?” “Yeah, in a coma. Your surgery went well but you weren’t giving any signs of waking up,” “Wow. Can I kiss you? It’s really hard not to,” “Of course,” Rosé bent over you and joined your lips. When you broke it, she looked into your eyes tenderly. Her look exudes love, care, passion and patience. “I love you,” you whispered.
You fell asleep, the pain in your body taking over your exhaustion
“Doctor, do you know when she’ll be able to come home?” Rosé had left you as you were sleeping to go find out more about your condition. “I was just about to come to talk to you actually. There may be some problems. Seeing as she’s suffered trauma and I think she might have to learn how to talk again. At the moment, she probably is completely unaware but often we find that people who have been out for this long have struggles. I’m telling you as her girlfriend that if you really love her, you’ll have to be patient. We’ve seen this break up many couples due to the stress it puts on them and you both seem genuinely in love, so it’ll be a shame. Let me know if you have any more questions,”  “Thank you,” Rosé didn’t realise the true impact your injuries would have on you.
The following morning, you woke again. You assumed Rosé was still sleeping at home seeing as it was a Saturday, but you were proved wrong when someone opened the door and Rosé was there, along with Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo. Their eyes lit up as they saw you awake, and clearly Rosé had told them they weren’t allowed to hug you when they came in and only sat by your bed. “How do you feel?” Jennie asked. “Like shit,” you laughed. Jennie and the others smiled as Rosé handed you a pastry and some chocolate milk. “Thanks baby,” you said, taking it from her and taking a bit.
Your conversations were interrupted when the doctor knocked on the door and came in. “I hope I’m not interrupting. We are going to take you down to the physiotherapy room to see if you’re still able to walk. I spoke to your girlfriend yesterday about how you might not be able to walk, has she told you?” “No,” you said, looking up at Rosé’s guilty face. “It’s going to take some time. Your friends can come but you can also be alone if you wish. We are going to take you down there where you’ll meet two of our best who will help you,” “Okay, I’ll go alone,” You were stunned at the fact that you might not be able to walk. Your friends looked nervous for you and Rosé looked upset. “Are you sure you don’t want us in there?” Rosé asked before you were wheeled out in a chair.  “Actually, Jennie, can you come?”  Jennie looked nervously between Rosé and you before nodding slowly. Rosé’s mouth was open slightly. Not only were you annoyed that she didn’t tell you you might not be able to walk, but you were also not ready to be embarrassed in front of her for this.
“It’s okay Chaeng, she doesn’t mean it personally,” Jisoo reassured outside the room that Y/N was in with Jennie.  “She’s mad because I didn’t tell her that she’ll have to learn to walk again,” Rosé said. She was good at reading how you felt. She knew you like the back of her hand, and the look you had given her when the doctor had mentioned their previous conversation was enough.
You held onto the bars as you tried to move one leg after the other but your body just wasn’t cooperating. You sighed in exhaustion as you tried time after time. Jennie was there, letting you know it was okay, but you kept getting angry at yourself, her and the physiotherapists trying to help. You fell to the floor for the 8th time and you finally lost it. “Can you all please just leave me alone? I can do it myself!” You yelled, knocking over the post that was helping you stand up. You flopped onto the ground and let your emotions out as the door closed behind you. The room was silent filled only by your angry sobs.
“Chaeng, she needs you. She can’t walk and she’s lashing out. As much as she thinks she’s angry at you, she really needs you,” Jennie told Rosé outside after many hours of being with Y/N, trying to help. “Okay, thanks Jen,” she said.
Rosé took a deep breath before going in. Her eyes immediately were drawn to you as she watched you cry on your side in the middle of the room. She rushed to your side and pulled you close. You buried your head in her chest and balled your fists in her hoodie.  “I can’t do it,” you bawled, letting all your emotions go into your girlfriend. She stroked your hair, telling you that you’d get through it together and that she loves you. Every injury in your body was aching as your sobs started to cease. “I’m sorry I didn’t get you to come with me. I am too embarrassed to have yous see me be so weak,” you said, inhaling the soft scent of her perfume and natural smell.  “Hey, don’t apologize. We are going to get through this together,” she told you.
The following day, you were allowed to go home, but you had to return every day for physiotherapy.
Rosé drove you home. The car ride was quiet as tensions were high due to your outburst yesterday, and the only sound was the soft murmur of the radio station. “You should call your parents. They haven’t come here as they’re swamped at work but they’ve helped me pay our rent as you were out of work,” Rosé said as you pulled up outside the house. She got out the car and helped you into the wheelchair the hospital had provided. You hated being so powerless in any situation, and depending on another person for everything was something you hated. Rosé wheeled you into your home and put your bags down in the hallway.  “Are you okay?” she asked. You nodded without making eye contact with her as you were so ashamed of your current condition. You wheeled yourself into the living room and Rosé helped you onto the couch. She put your legs up on a foot rest and hurried around, making sure you were as comfortable as possible. “Babe. Slow down. You don’t have to do everything for me right away. Get a blanket and come here and we can watch movies and order pizza,” you told her. She smiled at you warmly before rushing into your bedroom and getting a blanket off of the foot of your bed, before rushing back to be next to you. She cuddled close next to you, still cautious of the injuries you had but she was thankful that she was able to be so close to you finally after so long.
The movie you were watching was playing in the background as you were deep in thought. You looked down at Rosé and thought about her, and you guys in your relationship. You were so thankful for her. She was the most loving, kind, caring, patient person you knew and the way she handled this whole situation was admirable to you. She must’ve been going through hell in the past 3 months but she still stuck by your side, loving you and trying to ‘hold down the fort’ all alone.  She noticed your staring and looked up at you. “What are you staring at?” she asked. “You,” you replied. She leaned up more to kiss you, and when she tried to break, you pulled her in further and deeper. She sighed in contentment.
“I’m sleepy,” you said, stretching. “Come on, let’s get into bed,” Rosé said happily. She must be so tired herself, but she was still so able to be so positive for you. Once again, she helped you into the wheelchair and wheeled you into the bedroom, ready to help you change into your pajamas. You blushed as she took off your shirt, revealing your bra. You had been in this position many times before, but in this situation, the sheer vulnerability of the closeness of both of you brought a red tint to your cheeks. She seeked consent with her eyes, leading you to nod before she unclasped your bra and exchanged it for a pajama t shirt. You were more than capable to change your shirt alone, but Rosé and you shared the intimate moment as she proceeded to change your pants too. She wheeled you into the bathroom so you could brush your teeth and so she could get changed.
She helped you into bed, kissing you gently on the forehead before running round to her side of the bed. She got in and cuddled up to you, careful to not disturb any other injuries you had.  “I love you,” she told you simply. “I love you more,” you said, wrapping an arm round her before drifting off to sleep.
The following morning, you woke to find Rosé gone. Your hand traced where she had been, the warmth lingering. You looked to your bedside table to find a note and a plate of toast. ‘Morning love! I am off to work until 12 and I’ll be back to drive us to physiotherapy at 1. I made you toast and your wheelchair by your bed but if you can’t use it, call me and I’ll come back. Have a good morning, I love you xx’. Rosé’s note made you smile as you placed it back. The toast she had made was still warm, meaning she hadn’t been long gone. You turned on the television as you ate, flicking through the channels before settling on Ellen.
You were in bed for an hour before you decided you desperately needed the toilet and to brush your teeth. You hoisted your legs over the side of the bed so you were sitting up, ready to lift yourself into the wheelchair. You put a little weight on one leg as you were able to lift the other into the wheelchair, and you collapsed safely into the wheelchair. You felt proud of yourself as you went into the bathroom. Rosé had set up support bars so it was easy for you to use the toilet, and she had also rearranged the shower so you could wash yourself in comfort and with ease.
The door clicked at precisely 12:10 and you heard Rosé shuffle around before she appeared. You were sitting in the living room, trying to put your own shoes on but struggling to do so. She smiled at the sight before coming over to help you. “How was the café today?” you asked, kissing her.  “It was fun. I made friends with someone else who works there, her name is Chuu. She’s funny. She started today and I had to train her to work the machines and things. Lisa came in too and we spoke for a while. She says she hopes you’re feeling better,” Rosé said, tying your laces for you. “That’s great. That reminds me that I should probably apologize to Jennie for my sudden outburst,” “You should invite her to your session today. She’s not angry at you, don’t worry. We all just want to see you be happy again,” she said. Her words touched you as you picked up your phone from the table and selected Jennie’s contact.
“Hey Y/N! How are you?” Jennie’s chirpy voice resonated throughout the whole house as your phone was on speaker. “I’m doing okay. Listen, I’m really sorry about my outburst. I didn’t mean to take my frustration out on you. I was wondering if you’d like to come with me and Chaeng today to my physio session? It would really mean a lot to me.” you said. “Don’t blame yourself, I understand. I would love to come today. Should I meet you there? At 1, right?” “Yes, 1. Thank you Jen, love you,” “Love you too, see ya!” You hung up the phone and smiled happily. “Told you she wasn’t mad!” Rosé exclaimed. You chuckled at her, her happy face filling your heart with love. You wheeled yourself into the hallway. The only problem now was getting down the stairs. You hadn’t had a stair lift installed yet so Rosé had to try and help you. Something as simple as getting up and down the stairs decreased your mood as you felt so useless.  “Hey, don’t be sad, okay? We can get down together. Let’s slide down on cushions!” She disappeared into the living room and grabbed two cushions off of the couch. She jumped on the pillow and slide herself down the stairs. She slid smoothly, laughing as she went. You couldn’t help but laugh too as you saw her smiley face at the bottom of the stairs. She ran back up the stairs and helped yo out of the wheelchair and helped you onto the pillow. With a little push, you were sliding down the stairs. “See? Perfect!” Rosé exclaimed as she walked down the stairs carrying your wheelchair.
Once in the car, you blasted music to get you in a better mood, trying not to think about the harsh battle you were about to fight with your legs.
You and Rosé went into the lobby where Jennie greeted you. She was nervous for your session as she hated seeing you in pain. Rosé was also terrified for your turn, but she knew that if she showed she was anxious, it would unsettle you even more. The nice lady at the desk directed you on where to go and your palms began to get sweaty. The same two people from before greeted you with a positive attitude, which made you feel more at ease.
The session started off hard; your legs weren’t cooperating with your brain. With Rosé’s encouragement and Jennie’s too, you had taken a few steps by the time you had left. The session was 3 hours long, and it involved many stretches and different exercises to help before you ended up actually trying to walk for the last hour and a half.
Rosé decided to celebrate the win with dinner at a restaurant with Jennie, and she invited Lisa and Jisoo too. The 5 of you met and enjoyed the meal together, your mood rejuvenated after the session you felt went well.
The next few agonizing months were spent attending brutal therapy sessions and spending time at home whilst Rosé was out working. You were so proud of her, with the jobs she had taken up to pay your rent and help you. “Are you ready to go? The girls are coming and waiting outside whilst we are in there as we are going to the movies for Lisa’s birthday after,” Rosé called from the bedroom.  “Yep!” You were more than happy to start your session to get it over with as you were excited to go out with your friends for Lisa’s birthday after.
“Okay, Y/N, you’re doing great. Hold onto the barriers if you need, and take your time. Try reaching your girlfriend.” Rosé was standing a few meters away from you, helping you as you took a few steps. With ease, you reached her and she squealed in excitement. This time, she took more steps back so you could walk a little further. “No, go further back. I can do it,”  Rosé and the physiotherapists eyes widened at your confidence. In your sessions, you were usually so pessimistic.  Starting off slow, you used the barriers for support to take a few steps. Your legs were shaky at first but soon they strengthened. Taking a deep breath, you took your hands off of the barriers and only used your legs. Rosé was staring at you, jaw dropped, from across the room as you walked to her steadily. You began to speed up as you got closer and closer to her. Once you reached her, you collapsed with her in tears of happiness. She cried as she told you how proud she was as the therapists looked pleased and even tearful themselves.
You walked around a little more to make sure you really could do it, and the smile never left your face. “Thank you so much for all your help,” you and Rosé told the physiotherapists as you left the room, walking. You walked down the corridor, holding Rosé’s hand and swinging your hands back and forth. You walked into the waiting room where you saw your friends. They were yet to notice you as you walked over to them.  “Hey, how was it?” Lisa looked you dead in the eyes. You smiled at her as you waited for them to notice the lack of wheelchair. She looked you up and down before she jumped up, along with Jisoo and Jennie. “Holy shit!” Jennie exclaimed. They hugged you, crying, and smiling. “This is the best birthday gift ever,” Lisa said through tears.
Once you pulled away from them, you grinned at Rosé. The emotions you felt were overwhelming as she pulled you in for a kiss.

Opening the gates, Jennie came in with two paper bags on her arms. Lisa helped her carry the other as they both stepped inside.
“Rosé and Jisoo are still out there buying foods. And you brought more snacks, including you yourself.” Lisa winked and Jennie bit her lip as she blushed
They entered the kitchen and placed the bags on the table, Lisa pulled out the sour candies Jennie bought.
“Oh my god, from what store did you find a jar full of sour candies?!” Jennie laughed.
“I won’t tell you so you would let me buy it for you.” Lisa pouted. Jennie “aww”ed and almost gave Lisa a kiss when Lisa started eating the candies.
“This is so good. Eat some.” Jennie did while Lisa unlocks her phone to text Jisoo.
Tumblr media
Jisoo and Rosé are back and Lisa was starting to feel uncomfortable when Jennie and Rosé were having fun talking to each other. Jisoo dragged here into the kitchen while Rosé and Jennie talk in the living room.
“What the hell are you doing?” Jisoo whispered in an aggressive way.
“What? You said so Jennie is our friend.” Lisa told her.
“Do you think Rosé would be comfortable sleeping in the same room with someone who has a crush on her girlfriend?”
“Jisoo listen—“
“No, you listen. I know you’re dumb, and that’s because I didn’t raise you right but—“
“Jisoo lower the fuck your voice dow—“
“SSSSH—“
“I cheated!” Lisa almost blurted out loud but managed to whispered it instead.
“What?” Jisoo asked, dumbfounded.
“I.... I cheated on Rosé.” Jisoo didn’t say anything but her face said it all. “With Jennie.” Lisa added as Jisoo gasped with her mouth wide open.
There was a long silence before Jisoo started speaking.
“Why?”
“I don’t know. I guess I’ve seen something in Jennie that I never saw on Rosé.”
“You have to tell her.”
“Jisoo, as if that’d be easy!” Jisoo sighed and massaged her temple.
“This is stressing me out more than it’s already haunting you. You cheated on my best friend with my new friend. I want to throw you off into a river.” Jisoo said as she walks out of the room but Lisa stops her.
“Please. Please don’t tell Rosé until I figure out my feelings.” Jisoo sighed again.
“So you’re telling me you have feelings for Jennie.” Lisa slowly nodded. “Fuck.” Was all Jisoo could say in return.
“.... since when?” Jisoo asked.
“I don’t know. I have no idea but I love Rosé.”
“You wouldn’t cheat on her if you do love her.” Jisoo shook her head. “You totally ruined this night and it hasn’t even started.”
“Do you hate me?” Jisoo frowned at her.
“The fuck, of course not! You’re my best friend. I get mad when you do something stupid and that’s pretty normal between us you know. But this one, I gotta help you.” Lisa smiled and hugged Jisoo. Jennie and Rosé walked in the kitchen.
“What Korean drama is this?” Jennie asked giggling. Rosé cackled. Lisa pushed Jisoo gently and ate some candies.
“Why do you care, dumb bitch?” Jisoo asked in return. Lisa choked as Rosé laughed even harder.
“Why do you always call me dumb bitch when you’e literally made out of crack?” Jennie said rolling her eyes and ate some candies from Lisa.
“Okay guys, stop that and let’s go upstairs and watch a film.” Rosé said, still giggling to herself.
“Let’s watch a horror movie.” Jisoo suggested but Jennie moaned.
“NO!” Lisa laughed.
“Why, Jennie? Not a tough dumb bitch at all?” Jisoo teased. Jennie glared at her.
“Someone hold me back before I strangle Jisoo.” Jennie said and Rosé yelled at them.
“Guys! Let’s just watch something funny. Come on, it’s 10PM!” They all ran upstairs excluding Lisa.
She brought some snacks upstairs and the three girls were on the bed. Jisoo in the middle.
Tumblr media
Lisa lay down beside Rosé, far from Jennie.
Tumblr media
Her phone buzzed and she unlocked her phone to see the message.
Tumblr media
Lisa giggled at Jennie’s message, Rosé tried to sneak and look at who she was texting but Lisa suddenly turned it off.
“Who were you texting?” Rosé asked.
“No one. Just Joy.” Lisa lied and faked a smile. Jisoo spoke.
“Speaking of Joy, Rosé was fuming when she saw her wrap her arms around you.” Lisa smirked at Rosé.
“Is it true?” Rosé rolled her eyes.
“What were y’all even talking about that had you laughing hard anyways?” Jennie asked out of curiosity.
“Yeri was in detention for something she didn’t do.” Rosé was shocked and had to sit up to hit her girlfriend. “Ow.” Lisa whined.
“What’s so funny about that? You guys are mean.” The three girls laughed.
“You’re just soft.” Lisa told her but Rosé kept on doing her fake mad face.
“Okay guys shut up this is the best part of the film.” Jisoo announced and everyone went quiet, focusing on the film except for Lisa who replied to Jennie.
Tumblr media
Lisa passed the cheetos to Jennie.
“Why did you pass it to her?” Jisoo asked.
“She asked for it.” Lisa replied nonchalantly.
“She didn’t say anything.” Rosé said quietly.
“OKAY GUYS SHUT UP PLEASE THIS SCENE IS THE BEST SCENE.” Jennie told them to change the topic. Jisoo stared at the screen, confused.
“This is literally them just eating weird stuffs.” She looked at Jennie. “Are you high or something?” Rosé pinched Jisoo.
“You’re being loud. Let the girl live.” Chaeng said as Lisa continued dming Jennie.

Rose of happiness
//Chanyeol x Rosé// one-shot
The sky is cloudy, it looks like its about to rain . She could feel the wind blowing from the open window that caused her to feel chilly . Outside the window, she could see birds flying around and the sun began to sink between those two mountains . The school’s bell will ring in any time but she didn’t even feel like to go home . Why? Maybe its because of the quite environment that made her feel peace? or the beautiful scenery that she adores so much? or the cute guy in the field that have just finished their practice? yeah, probably the last one .
Chaeyoung looks outside the window with her hand on her chin and observe him . It was ridiculous of her to have a crush on someone, but this is her first time that she felt all giddy in her when he smile, laughs or barely does anything at all . Chaeyoung feels nervous and shy around him . She likes him . She sighed and put both of her hands on her chin . Its doesn’t matter, he’s a senior, why would a senior like her? She sigh again and look out the window, his team just finished practice and starting to pack their bag . She could see him clearly with his soccer tee and a huge 61 on the back .
Park Chanyeol
The guy that she has a crush on is him . Tall and bulky figure . Hair is now covering his eyes due to his sweats of practice (but personally she thought his hair looks good on him in any type of way and colours) . Such a fun personality, always the laughing guy in the group . Deep voice and cheerful . She likes him more for being just him, the dorky guy of the group, but no, others doesn’t recognized him by that, he’s Chanyeol, the handsome and popular guy that play the guitar in the group, the one who raps with his deep and sexy voice . The one that will never end up with a type of girl like her .
“CHAEYOUNG!”
Chaeyoung put her hand on her heart due to a mini-heartattack and glared to her sides knowing who just shouted at her . Her thougths were right, next to her is Lisa, Chaeyoung’s best friend, smiling devilishly at her .
“What is it Lisa? You startled me .” she replied with a tone of annoyance, but then again she is Lisa . How can you be mad at her even if she’s annoying she’s still lovable .
“Didn’t you hear me calling you a zillion time Chaeng? The bell just rang, didn’t you hear it? Let’s go home Chaeng . What were you dreaming about anyway? she shoot her with quetions while leaning towards the windows . Before she could even push her away, her looks already made Chaeyoung blush . She saw him . Lisa is the only one that she has ever told about her secret crush .
“I forgive you this time for not hearing me calling you, just because I know why” she snickered and I just looked away while packing my bag to go home . While packing, Lisa asked her a question that made her froze and stop packing to look at her .
“Why won’t you confess to him about your feelings Chaeng?” she asked slowly while looking her with sad eyes . Lisa’s attention is good, she just doesn’t want her to keep being like this . She sighed and looks at Lisa .
“You don’t understand Lisa, I’m not like you and the unnies” She said and picked her bag up . Chaeyoung wasn’t like Lisa, Jennie unnie and Jisoo unnie . She isn’t as popular as them . Doesn’t have all the charms that guys like . Lisa is beyond beautiful, she looks like a barbie doll, plus she can dance and god knows how damn good she is . Jennie is just as beautiful , with the cold ice princess looks, all the guys loves her . The way she can sing and rap attracted them . Jisoo looks killed them all, she pretty, probably the most prettiest girl in school . Her 4D personality attract the guys , she isn’t shy like her , everyone wants to be friends with her, and everyones is including Chanyeol .
Lisa doesn’t say anything, the last time she tried to say something about this topic doesn’t really went well for the both of them . So she shrugged it off and walked out of the class together with Chaeyoung .
Outside the school gate they saw Jennie and Jisoo waiting for them . After catching up with them, we head back home, but before they stepped outside of the school gate, they heard someone calling Jisoo . Someone who Chaeyoung particularly fond of the voice . They turned around to see who it is except Chaeyoung . No, Please don’t tell me its him, please no . It can’t be him right? she thought and turned around . Wrong, its completely the person that she thought of . Lisa put a hand around her shoulder to make it look like its normal- while actually trying to calm her down .
“Oh hey Chanyeol, ssup?” Jisoo said to him while giving a Hi-5 to which he replied it back happily . It made Chaeyoung feel unhappy because all she want is to be close and as relax as Jisoo with him .
“Nothing much, your party is tonight right? I was just asking to make sure of it” he said somehow with a giddy tone to which confuses Chaeyoung . But the important question is JISOO INVITED EXO ? AS IN INCLUDING CHANYEOL? She could feel Lisa’s hand around her shoulder was even more tight and she was looking at her - Calm down Chaeng .
“Yep, its tonight at 7! Y’all better come, if you don’t ayy I going to-” before she could even finish her words, Jennie’s hands covered her mouth . “Don’t mind her, she’s always overreacting you know . Just make sure EXO come m’kay?” Jennie said to him while Jisoo was fidgeting around to get her hands off her . Chanyeol just laughed and nodded . Even Jennie unnie talk comfortably with him . Then Chanyeol looked towards Chaeyoung and Lisa .
“Hmm so should Sehun come eh ?” He laughed when he saw Lisa blushed . He can even joke around with Lisa . “Ahhhhh go away sunbaenim, stop teasing me!” Lisa whined and he laughed again, but then he looked at Chaeyoung and smiled .
“Hey, its Rosé right?” he said with a smile towards her . She sheepishly nodded at him . After that, he looked at Jisoo again . “So, I guess I see all of you tonight? Good evening m’ladies” He sarcasticly bowed with a laugh and jogged back to his group of friends . “Very charming Yeol ! See you” Jisoo waved .
On their way back to Jisoo’s house to help her with the party food and etc, Jisoo striked a question at Chaeyoung . “Whats up with you when you talked with Chanyeol back there? were you trying to be cute or what?” Chaeyoung panicked a bit , she can’t say that she was nervous to talk to Chanyeol . “She just nodded at his questions, whats wrong wtih that unnie?” Lisa covered her back, with her answer, Jisoo just ignore it and they quickly headed towards her house to get ready for the party .
Around half an hour before people started to crowd in the house, they got themselves ready with their outfits . Jennie wore a white tee and a black ripped jeans, paired with a black leather jacket . Lisa wore a red checkered crop top with shorts, while Jisoo choose to wear a pink dress with flowers to match up her look . Chaeyoung sighed, she thought every clothing she wear will look ugly, so Jennie passed her a beautiful black dress that reach till her thigh . The dress were also patterned with red roses and Lisa was the one who make-up her . Lisa finish her look with a bronze-orange kind of eyeshadow to match up her hair and a red tint to her lips to match the roses on her dress . At least I look decent enough, I guess she thought .
Soon there were a lot of people at Jisoo’s house . Jisoo unnie sure do have a lot of friends huh . The place was crowded with people , some even not from school . Then she spotted him . EXO just arrived and they look gorgeous . Chaeyoung was shocked to see Chanyeol dyed his hair to a purpleish-blue kind of colour . Nevertheless, he looks incredible .
Chanyeol spotted Chaeyoung and he came towards her . She started to panicked and look left and right to find Lisa or any of her unnies . “Damn, you look amazing!” he complimented her . Okay breathe in and out , I can do it ! .
“Well you look amazing as well Chanyeol” she said back with a smile . I hope he doesn’t notice that I’m nervous . He chuckled and thanked her . The both of them started a conversation and talked for quiet a long time , Chanyeol likes her company, he thought she was funny and every of his jokes she laugh . Chaeyoung started feeling a bit comfortable with him . They didn’t even notice that Lisa saw the both of them and smiled . She quickly back away from them so they could talk more, until she bump with a certain someone .
“Sorry, I didn’t see where I wa-” she said but caught off when she notice who he was .
“Its you” they both said in unison . She realized she just bumped with Oh Sehun . The atmosphere were awkward and the both of them were quiet, but then he started the conversation . “Soooo, you wanna dance?”
“Yeah, sure”
Chanyeol didn’t notice the time and how long she talked with Chaeyoung . He feels like he had the time of his life talking to her . Now, he knows more about her and calls her Chaeyoung instead . But then Chanyeol remembered something, so he excuses himselft for a minute to get a drink . .
Chanyeol thought of today . The party-particularly Jisoo’s . He wanted to confess today . So he looked for her .
Chaeyoung was a bit lost in the house, the place were crowded so she had to squeeze in to walk through. So, she thought of finding the girls to talk with . What she didn’t expect is finding Chanyeol around the corridor looking towards someone . He looks sad, but why? . Chaeyoung came a little bit closer and thats when she knows why . She saw Jisoo and Suho, a friend of Chanyeol kissing each other . Chanyeol likes Jisoo unnie . She saw Chanyeol walked out, but she didn’t try to chase after him .
She jumped when she felt someone’s hands on her shoulder , she spun around and saw it was Jennie unnie . “Go after him Chaeng” she encouraged her with s sweet smile . “W-what are you talking about unnie?” she laughed even though it sounded fake . Jennie sighed and said “There must be a reason you didn’t want to tell me and Jisoo and I completely understand if you don’t want to . You probably have told Lisa right?” and Chaeyoung just nodded at her . “I’m not as blank as Jisoo you know right? so go after him Chaeng . You can . Don’t think of me , Jisoo and Lisa . Think about you . Yourself . You’re great and if you don’t know it , we know . So go” Chaeyoung hugged and thanked her . After that, she chase after him .
“Still being the hero I guess?” a voice said behind Jennie . “Shut up Baek, let’s dance” and she took his hands towards where the music plays .
Chaeyoung ran and ran, even with her heels on, she ran to find him . It was dark so she look carefully so she wouldn’t miss him . It was probably near midnight, no wonder it was dark . Then, she saw a figure sitting near bench around the corner of Jisoo’s house . A tall figure with bright hair was sitting down . It must be him ! She walked carefully towards him .
“Chanyeol?” and he spun around, Chaeyoung suspected that he was crying . Chaeyoung didn’t know what to do . She never seen Chanyeol cried before, heck she never even seen a guy cried in front of her . “Are you okay?” to which he quickly replied with a yes . When Chaeyoung asked if he wanted tissue, he just shook his head as a no sign .
“If you don’t want to talk its fine, I can lea-” “Stay. Please Chaeng”
The way he called her Chaeng made her feel happy . Chaeyoung sat beside him and give him her shoulders.
“I love her” Chaeyoung felt like she stopped breathing . Chanyeol confessed that he loves Jisoo , she feels broken but she smiled and try not to cry . She stroked Chanyeol’s soft hair to soothed him . Chanyeol kept rambling stuff about her and Chaeyoung tried to held in .
“Jisoo, I love her. To be honest, I even dyed my hair today to match hers . I didn’t know she was with Suho hyung. I love the way she cares for other , the way she smiles , how beautiful she looks in everything . Even her personality , she’s weird , but I like it . The way she laugh around you guys , she’s just-”
“Enough!” she couldn’t take it anymore . She needs to believe Jennie’s words .
“Chaeng? what? fine, then , you can leav-”
“Don’t you get it !”
Chanyeol was quiet and confuse . Chaeyoung took a breath and finally she let it all out .
“I love you Chanyeol , since the first day I got into school , you were helping the teachers file when us freshmens just got into school . You’re brave , handsome , popular . But I never saw you like that . You’re funny . You always make joke around your friends . You always help someone when they’re in trouble no matter who they are, the way you care for them touch my heart . The way you laugh with your deep voice made me laugh . Seeing you smile made me smile . If you’re happy, then I’m happy . Seeing you’re sad now , and because of my unnie made me feel sad, heartbroken but I tried to held it in . I want to support you . I’m not as pretty as Jisoo unnie , not as brave and talkative like her . She has many friends but I don’t . Now I’m just rambling, I’m sorry , I want to support you , I really want to, but I can’t . Just this time I can’t because its include with my heart breaking to see you sad to wanting to be with someone else but me . Chanyeol , I love you “
Chaeyoung turned around and started to walk away but something prevent her from it . The arms around her . Chanyeol was hugging her . She felt her heart skips a beat . Those arms that are touching her , turned her around to make her look at him .
“I didn’t know . I’m sorry that I hurted you , I’m sorry for everything . I don’t know what to say “ he started slowly . She sighed and took his arm off her . She looks at him again with a bright smile . A fake bright smile that Chanyeol sees through it . “ Its okay, as long as you’re happy, I’m happy right?
“Can we start now?
“What??”
“I would be lying if I said I don’t like you, you made me feel happy at the party, and I don’t see why not to give us a chance Chaeng . I should probably move on from Jisoo, I should’ve known she likes my hyung though . How about you ? Do you want to give us a chance Chaeng?”
Chaeyoung started to teared up and Chanyeol’s huge hand came to cupped her face . He wiped her tears away and he could hear a soft yes from her , but knowing Chanyeol, he just have to tease her.
“What was that ??? I can’t hear?” “Yes,you idiot”
“Oh so I’m the idiot now ?????” “Shut up”
Cute he thought, and finally they kissed .

Tumblr media
Sundays were the most special day of the week to you.
Well, it wasn’t just you. They were special to all of the students at Gyeongseong Boarding School; there, Sundays were free days, the only day out of the week where students were free to leave the campus or roam it with no restrictions. But to you, Sundays were special for a different reason-- they were a special memory, with an even more special girl.
Jisoo was one out of your four roommates, but that was nowhere close to how you’d describe her. A friend, maybe, or even a best friend. You weren’t sure how you’d phrase it if you were asked why you looked at her like she was your entire life, why you thought any disease could be cured by just one look at her smile.
But if she asked you, you knew that you’d tell her that she was everything perfect, the only star in your dark sky, yet bright enough to illuminate your entire world. And ever since that handshake on your first day in Gyeongseong, she was your Sunday, the diamond in a sea of worthless coal.
“Y/N? Get up, we’re here.”
Despite never having been asleep, you faked an overexaggerated yawn and tilted further into Jisoo’s neck. She laughed breathily, finger poking right into your forehead. “I know you aren’t asleep, dumbass.”
You sighed and lifted your head at that. Even through your bleary vision, you couldn’t miss the heart shape of her grin, and your cheeks flushed pink despite all the times you’d seen it before. “Fine. Has the bus stopped?”
“No, actually,” Jisoo answered and turned to the front. “My shoulder was just tired.”
Punching her arm lightly, you glanced out the window, at the morning sunlight shining down on the dingy storefronts and faded brick walls of the city. It was the same as always-- after all, you and Jisoo took the same bus at the same time every Sunday, even sat in the exact same seats every time. But as the bus lurched to a stop at the same grimy metal sign as always, and you stood with Jisoo’s hand in yours, the view was just as beautiful as it had been the first Sunday that Jisoo brought you down the hill with her. “Are we going for ice chocolate again?” she asked as you stepped out of the bus, leaning slightly on her so as not to fall on the crooked last step.
“I’ll never say no to ice chocolate,” you answered absentmindedly. The slight January breeze was icy on your face, but Jisoo didn’t seem to mind even in her short skirt. “Rock paper scissors again to determine who pays?”
She considered it but shook her head, grinning, “Race” one second before she turned and bolted for the ice cream shop just down the street.
“H-- cheater!”
You still laughed as you chased her, feet pounding against the ground even while you shouted after her. “Kim Jisoo, just you wait until I get my hands on you!”
Tumblr media
“I wish I brought my camera,” the other girl sighed as she looked out to the ocean. It wasn’t much in your opinion, more gray than blue, the waves crashing onto dusty brown sands where the water met the beach. But Jisoo still watched it with appreciating eyes, working away slowly at her iced chocolate. “Would’ve made for a pretty shot.”
“You can always get it next week,” you shrugged in answer. Your own cup was empty, sitting to your left on the slightly sandy stone wall that the two of you were perched on. “I mean, we come here every week.”
Jisoo smiled, “But it’s different every week. It could be sunnier, or maybe rainy; either way, it’s still beautiful.”
“You’re cheesy as hell.” You rolled your eyes, reaching for her iced chocolate but blocked by her free hand. “I’ll still come here every Sunday with you, even if it rains.”
She nodded, biting down on the spoon in her mouth and swinging her legs over the wall. “Remember that time in 2nd year? You insisted on coming even though it snowed, and we had to explain to our roommates why they had to live in other rooms so they wouldn’t catch a cold from us.”
“That was kinda stupid. But at least we got the room to ourselves for a week,” you grinned. “We should do it again, get Chaeng, Lisa, and Jen to annoy room 244 for a change.”
“That’s mean,” Jisoo shook her head. “But I like the way you think.”
“I mean,” you continued, “with all of them in the room, we wouldn’t get to do this.”
“Do what?” she asked, turning despite knowing exactly what you were going to do. And predictably, you kissed her, soft and slow, savoring it while you could. Her lips were cold from the weather and from the dessert, but they were as soft and sweet as ever as they moved against yours. Jisoo’s hand clasped in yours again, intertwined and pressed to the stone of the wall as she leaned in a bit closer.
Before someone could call you out or recognize you, though, you parted, teeth letting go of her bottom lip with a pop. When Jisoo looked down, she found the cup of iced chocolate to be in your hand instead of hers, the spoon already in your mouth as you grinned. “Y/N, that’s a foul,” she complained. But she didn’t try to wrestle for it back, simply watching you with a sigh.
After a beat of comfortable silence, the quiet murmur of people passing by only ambient noise in the background, Jisoo spoke again. “You know, my brother called yesterday. He wanted to know if I got a boyfriend yet.”
You snorted in laughter and shook your head. “Right, we’re graduating soon. What’d you tell him?”
“I told him that I’ll date when I get into college,” she sighed.
“Hey. Are we not dating?” you pouted, snickering when she tossed a napkin at your head. “I know, I know. Korea’s conservative, your brother’s conservative. We would’ve gotten hit if someone saw us just a bit earlier.”
Jisoo frowned, toying with your fingers in hers. “You’re right. Y/N... If you had to introduce me as something, what would you say?”
“Well, the obvious. You’re my roommate,” you smiled, “and my best friend. But... you’re also my Sunday.”
“Your Sunday? I don’t think I’ve heard that one before.” Jisoo looked up, and you could barely hold yourself from leaning in and kissing her again. The slightly grayish tone of Gyeongseong’s sun did wonders for her features, illuminating the curve of her cheek and the tip of her nose just enough to make her look like a literal angel. “Care to explain?”
You hesitated for a second and tapped the plastic spoon against the plastic of the cup in your hands. “Do you remember the first time you explained the concept of Gyeongseong Sundays to me? You couldn’t explain why you liked coming down to the same beach every weekend with your friends, so you decided to just take me with you.”
“Right,” Jisoo snapped her fingers, nodding. “And when I asked you afterwards what you thought of Gyeongseong Sundays, you told me that they were special. The one red licorice in a bag of black, the rose in a bouquet of thorns. You were poetic then, and even more so now.”
“I’ll take it as a compliment,” you laughed slightly. “But yeah. Since almost four years ago, we’ve spent every Sunday together, every one of our rare, perfect, special days. So you’re my Sunday. You're the one that makes my day special, and you shine like the tiny stars we watch from the rooftops.”
After taking a quick glance at the empty streets around you, Jisoo’s fingertips ghosted over your jawline again before her lips were on yours and everything faded. You could feel her smile, could taste the sheer contentment in the pressure between the two of you. And when she pulled away, that simple happiness still lit up her eyes, even when she turned to look at the gray-blue sea again. “Okay. Then I’ll be your Sunday. Your Sunday love.”

Rest
Idol: Blackpink
Request: Nope
After months of practicing and preparing, it’s understandable for the girls to get tired especially when they have to perform almost every day for award shows. But after working yourself too much for this comeback, your exhaustion becomes too much to bear.
Tumblr media
“Y/n, let’s go home.” Jisoo called out when she grabbed her bag, finally ready to leave the practice room and head to the dorm just so she could lay down and rest her body. Typically, she wouldn’t stay this late, but seeing that you were still up for some extra practice, she decided to stay with you.
You looked over your shoulder and nodded, panting as you grabbed your water bottle and emptied its contents while picking your bag up from the floor to join her. The older girl grinned as she took your hand and then took your to face towel so she could wipe your face and then pecked your cheek. You smiled tiredly at her and laughed as you wrapped an arm around her waist while exiting the building. “We’ll do well tomorrow.” She tells you and you have no doubt that your girls would do more than an amazing job.
“I’ve never seen you so serious in practicing like this. What’s gotten into you?” Jisoo suddenly asked playfully, laughing when she put her bag by her feet and you grinned while shaking your head. “I don’t know, maybe I just don’t want Blinks to be disappointed.” You reply and she lightly smacks your arm. “There’s no way they would be disappointed. They love you.”
Arriving at the dorm, you bid the older girl goodnight when she heads to her room and you go straight to your own. Passing by Chaeyoung’s room on the way, you weren’t exactly surprised to see the girl munching on some snacks while dancing to whatever song played on her phone.
“Not sleeping yet?” You asked with a small smile and her head turns in surprise, eyes wide at being caught and you had to hold back a giggle when she jumped out of bed and came over to the door to greet you with a bright smile. “I didn’t know you were already home.” She says and you gesture to your bag. “Jisoo unnie and I just got back. I was going to wash up but then I saw you were having a party.”
The younger girl blushed before she gave you a small push, laughing in a bashful manner and covering her face. “I’ll keep it down.” She tells you and you grin before pecking her cheek. “Be sure to get some sleep. You have another performance tomorrow.” You said in mock seriousness, making her salute and then gave you a hug. “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight, Chaeng.”
After she closes her door, you finally make your way to your room and toss the bag of clothes towards the basket as you walked to your closet, grabbing a pair of shorts and a cotton shirt to change in. You did your night routine and let out a breath as you exited the bathroom, stretching your arms over your head and then tossing yourself on the soft bed.
You were pretty much getting ready to fall asleep, eyes shut and your body was relaxed while you cuddled one of the pillows, but the sound of someone knocking on your door forced you to stay conscious. “Unnie, are you awake?” Lisa’s muffled voice greeted you and you groaned in response. “Yes, why?”
At your confirmation, the door was cracked open and the maknae peeked her head inside. Seeing you already in bed, she grinned and then fully entered your room before she shut the door behind her and snuck into your bed, her arms and legs immediately going over you and making you huff.
“What are you doing, Lisa?” You ask her while closing your eyes again and she whines while burying her face to your neck. “I couldn’t sleep and you were taking too long.” Of course, it wasn’t uncommon for at least one of the girls to be sneaking into your room. They’ve all gotten so comfortable with cuddling with you whenever they couldn’t sleep, so it became a usual thing.
When comebacks or performances happened, it was much more frequent so you really shouldn’t have bothered questioning her.
“Okay, but we have to get some sleep, okay?” She beamed at you, despite having your eyes closed, and then kissed your cheek before she settled her head back into the crook of your neck, finally allowing herself to get some sleep before your performance tomorrow.
..
By the time you woke up, you could feel a weight on your chest, momentarily forgetting that one of your members had stayed the night before. Your eyes snapped open to look down on who it was, but relaxed when you noticed the blonde streaks.
You were about to shut your eyes again, only for them to snap open and take another look at the person because from what you remember, Lisa’s hair was black and the only person with blonde hair was-
“Jennie?” You called softly, making said girl hum slightly when she buried her face more into your chest. “Five more minutes.” She whined while draping her arm across your torso.
You cooed at the adorable sight, shaking your head as you wrapped your arms around her frame and then kissed her forehead, letting the two of you fall back to sleep when she sighed in content. And the five minutes extended into twenty, because Lisa and Chaeyoung were soon barging inside and hopping on the bed with you.
“Wake up! Wake up!” They cheered and Jennie groaned loudly as she blindly threw a pillow on whoever was nearest to her. Sadly, that person ended up being Lisa and the maknae soon grabbed the pillow before attacking the older girl with it. “Unnie, wake up!” To which, the older girl whined before she finally gave up trying to get some extra minutes of sleep.
You were thankful that Chaeyoung was more gentle in her approach, shaking your shoulder and nuzzling you while she called your name. “I know Lisa kept you up but you gotta wake up now.” The girl stated and you let your eyes open while she began to tug at your arms and pulled you to sit up, smiling as she did and then kissing your cheek.
“Good morning!”
You had to cover your mouth from yawning and when you were finally much more awake, you rested your head against Chaeyoung’s chest while looking at the other two. “When did you get in my room, Jen?” You finally asked while Chaeyoung wrapped her arms around you.
Jennie gave Lisa a shove before she’s turning to you and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. “I’m not sure. Maybe it was near four? I woke up and then just went here.” She explained while Lisa sat beside her. “Yeah, she was already here when I woke.” She nodded in affirmation.
“Yah are you planning to join me or am I going to be dancing alone?” Jisoo came into the room with fake annoyance written on her face and all four of you giggled while you got out of bed so you and Jennie could get ready for the day. “I mean, if you want to, we don’t mind.” Lisa cackled before Jisoo smacked her from behind.
“Come on, let’s go. Manager oppa is going to pick us up in a while.” You tell them while going to the bathroom. The other three obeyed and prepared themselves. Jisoo was ready to go, along with Chaeyoung. Lisa only needed to change her shirt since she spilled some of the food on the one she was already wearing.
You were giddy and nauseous at the same time. This wasn’t the first show you were going to, but it didn’t mean it didn’t have the same effects. Jisoo, who sits beside you, notices and chuckles before lacing her fingers with yours and the patting your hand. “Remember what I told you, okay?” You flash her a smile of your own and nod, focusing on your members instead so your nerves can calm down.
Between Lisa and Chaeyoung’s playful banter and Jennie going on live with Jisoo, you smile softly at the four of them before shaking your head just in time for the rapper to turn the camera so that you’re seen on screen.
“She’s right here!” You already saw your name coming from the comments and you waved to everyone with your free hand. “She’s really nervous guys.” Jisoo commented and you give her a small push. “Unnie, shush.”
“Why would you be nervous?” Jennie asked in behalf of everyone and you laugh nervously. “I mean, aren’t I always?” But the reply doesn’t seem to satisfy her as she stares at you, cat-like eyes narrowed and making you sigh in defeat. “I feel like I’m going to disappoint everyone.” You muttered, and that was enough for viewers to spill in compliments and assurances while Jennie frowned at you.
But your conversation was also heard from the back and both girls leaned closer to look at you. “Unnie, what are you talking about?” Lisa screeched as she reached for you and squished your cheeks. “You’ve been working really hard for this. There’s no reason to be scared.” She tells you. “Blinks are always so proud of you, right?” Chaeyoung asked and people replied with yeses.
“See? I told you there’s no need to worry.” Jisoo tells you and you can’t help but smile at their antics when Lisa begins to babble about the things you’ve all done while Chaeyoung tries to constantly steal your attention away.
Eventually, you do push your worries away and the girls take it as a victory to see you smiling more freely.
..
This was probably the tenth show you’ve been to, and you were understandably exhausted. In your earlier panic and worries, you were only to eat a little bit, but even so it felt like you were about to vomit.
Shutting your eyes and focusing on your breathing, you counted from ten just to still yourself. Your body was aching and you weren’t sure why but your chest felt like there was a huge weight on it.
“Blackpink, ten minutes!” A staff called and your eyes opened to see the four other girls standing and adjusting their mics. You did the same, taking in another deep breath as you all exited the room and head for the stage.
You were able to flash a quick smile to the camera before the song started and you had to admit, you felt much more tired than usual. You were sure that you sounded breathier when you sang and Chaeyoung glanced at you a few times when she noticed it as well.
Breathing was slowly becoming more and more difficult while your body was growing heavier. The lights were too bright and as you powered through the last bit of the choreography, blacks spots started to fill your vision.
With Jennie next to you, she could see your body beginning to sway when you reached the ending pose and her worry spiked when you immediately broke from the formation first when you were given the okay.
She saw as you tried to hurry off stage and she quickly ran up to you just as your body finally gave out. Her heart jumped to her throat when the nearest staff caught you just before you fell and the rest of the girls were tailing after her.
Kneeling next to you, Jennie began to shake your shoulder and tapped at your cheek. “Y/n, open you eyes. Come on.” She pleaded, noting how much you were struggling to breathe so she placed her hand a little bit near your mouth and nose and she looked up, alarmed. “I don’t think she can breathe.”
Hurriedly, the girls lifted your body from the ground and quickly but carefully brought you to the dressing room where Jisoo wasted no time in pulling your jacket off of you and then grabbing something to fan you.
Staff was quick with bringing a portable resuscitator and took over for the girls. Jisoo continued to fan you and instructed the others not to crowd around you. “Y/n, we need you to take a deep inhale and exhale slowly. Can you do that for us?” The staff asked and you nodded, barely noticeable, but when you began to follow their instructions, they felt a little bit more relieved.
You were able to open your eyes a bit and the first person you notice is Jisoo, staring at you with a worried frown. “Are you okay?” She asked softly as you continued to try and normalize your breathing. “Yeah.” Your voice sounded so small and she grimaced while the others appeared over her shoulder.
Your vision was still a bit blurry but you were still able to make out their faces. And getting an actual look at you now, they noticed that you were too pale.
“Can you move or does anything hurt?” Chaeyoung asked when she knelt next to Jisoo and took your hand in hers. You gave her a small squeeze. “It’s a little… painful when I inhale.” You muttered and they nodded before Lisa stood up. “I’ll tell manager oppa.”
“But the show isn’t over.” You try stopping her, but Jennie cuts in while the staff and Jisoo stop you from sitting up. “We’re done with our part, we don’t need to stay.” She tells you while grabbing your things and her own. “Right now, we need to get you checked.” She stated, her voice showing no room for arguments, and you know that you didn’t have the strength to do so, either.
They let you go when you’re capable of going without the resuscitator. When you stumble as soon as you’re on your feet, Chaeyoung is already grabbing your arm and wrapping her own around you as she helped you to the van.
Since there was enough space, they left you and her in the front row while the three of them settled in the back just so you could lay down. “It’s okay, I don’t need to-” But Chaeyoung is already laying your head on her lap while shaking her head. “Just relax, Y/n. This isn’t the worst that you’ll deal with if you keep fighting.” And knowing these four for as long as you did, you obeyed, albeit reluctantly.
..
The girls stay outside the room while you were getting checked. The four kept looking at the door and then doing something to distract themselves until Lisa spoke up. “How long do we have to wait?” She asked when she stole another glance at the door and Jennie shook her head.
“I don’t know, but I don’t think it’ll take much longer.” She glanced down at her phone when she felt it vibrate and saw Joohyun’s name flash across the screen.
Seulgi and I heard what happened. Is Y/n okay? - Irene
Yeah, she’s getting checked right now. sorry we couldn’t stay to watch
It’s fine! Y/n needed you girls and I hope she gets better soon - Irene
We’ll be sure to update you
When the nurse allowed them to come inside, the doctor was giving you some instructions as you nodded your head. When she turns around to greet them, she begins to explain what happened. “Well, to put it simply, Y/n has been suffering from anemia. After a few tests, she doesn’t have enough iron in her system, which would explain the fatigue and the shortness of breath.” She tells them and they quickly looked at you in surprise and worry.
“But Y/n has been healthy with the her food and the things she does.” Lisa furrowed her brows. “That may be, but sometimes it’s not about a person’s lifestyle that causes anemia. Her body may have just started to produce less red blood cells.” She explained. “Either way, we’ve given her a prescription for the medication she will be needing to take and some instructions as well just to prevent this from happening again.”
Once the doctor explained to them everything that they needed to know and answered all of their questions, she excused herself and left the five of you alone.
“Well, looks like you’re going to have to be under surveillance for now.” Jennie crossed her arms when she sat down and you playfully roll your eyes. “I just need more iron. I’m not incapacitated.” You shot back. “Well, technically you are.” Lisa quipped. “From now on, we have to make sure you eat whatever has enough iron in them and that you don’t overwork yourself.” Chaeyoung says seriously.
“Meaning, no more extra hours that aren’t necessary.” Jisoo pointed at your nose and you lightly push her hand away. “It was necessary.”
“And you’re stubborn.”
“But so are we.”
“So, you aren’t going to get out of this easily.”
You let out a deep sigh but smiled at them eventually. As much as you wanted to argue, there was no stopping these girls when they were protective of you like this.
So from that day on, they kept a closer eye on you, and you made sure to rest to appease their worries. You know that they aren’t doing this to embarrass you.
The day you collapsed, you could see the fear in their eyes, even when they didn’t speak about it. It was a silent agreement that you wouldn’t bring it up and it was also a clear indication that these girls loved and cared for you deeply.
And you wouldn’t have them any other way.

With A Kiss
Idol: Park Chaeyoung (Blackpink)

Meeting you on the first day of the second year was not something Chaeyoung expected to happen when she arrived, back, at Hogwarts. It wasn’t exactly ideal either since she was trying to get to class without being late, knowing that the professor was scary as hell due to her past experience with him.
But when she rounded the corner that was in the direction of said class, she was not prepared for a body to be there so she had practically tackled you to the ground.
You would expect that to be bad, but the worst part was that, when you both fell, Chaeyoung’s lips had landed on yours, causing the two of you to freeze in shock.
“Park! L/n! You should be in class, not being handsy in the corridor!” A professor had called the two of you, and that ripped you both away from each other, you shoving the girl away and then scrambling to your feet with both your faces beet red.
That had earned you both detention and Chaeyoung was so ashamed for what she did, especially when she saw how flustered her actions have made you. You didn’t even look her in the eyes and just ran to your own class, making the girl mentally curse at herself while she headed to her class.
Her friends laugh at her when she tells them why she was late and she had to bury her face into her hands, embarrassed with the whole predicament.
“Wow, I didn’t think you could move that fast.” Lisa teased her when they headed to the Great Hall and the latter groaned. “Can we please not talk about it?” She whined while shoving the latter. “But Chaeng, you literally swept a girl off her feet and kissed her.” Jisoo laughed alongside Lisa when they walked to their table and took their usual places.
“What house is she in, again?” Jennie asked curiously and Chaeyoung was thankful that she wasn’t teasing her like the other two were. “She’s a Hufflepuff.” She replies when she starts to fill her plate. “What’s her name?” Lisa asked excitedly and Chaeyoung had to roll her eyes at her friend’s hyper energy. “I don’t know. I just know her last name.”
She wasn’t really able to ask for it because you were both late, and she doesn’t think that you would just give your name to someone who tackled you to the floor and kissed you.
“Is she here, then?” Her best friend asked again, looking over to the other table, her eyes jumping from one person to another and Chaeyoung huffed as she looked to see if she could point you out just so her friend would stop pestering her.
When she did find you talking to some of your friends, she was able to see you a bit better compared to earlier. Of course, she wasn’t a hundred percent sure, she nodded her head in your direction. “Over there, the one with the h/c haired, talking to Seulgi.” She tells them and all three are taking a peek.
Of course, Jennie was just as curious as to who the poor girl her friend had knocked over, but she wasn’t as bad as Jisoo and Lisa.
“Oh, she’s cute.” Jennie commented. “Yeah! Pretty e/c eyes, too.” Jisoo wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, making Chaeyoung squint as she shoved a spoonful of mashed potatoes in her mouth. “You should ask her out then, if it goes well, kiss her properly.” Lisa suggested, making the other’s eyes widen in surprise, nearly choking on her food.
“Are you crazy?” She hissed, throwing a crumpled up napkin at the blonde. “I’m just saying! She could be really nice and maybe she liked the kiss.” Lisa reasoned, but it wasn’t helping the blush that crept up Chaeyoung’s cheeks.
“We aren’t talking about this.”
“What? Your nonexistent love life?”
“Oh, shut up.”
..
The next time Chaeyoung sees you is during detention and she learns your name when the professor addressed the two of you. You’re both the only students in the classroom with your teacher looking over the homework that was submitted from her earlier class.
Now that you were closer, she was able to see your face clearly, and she hates how Jisoo was right about your eyes being pretty.
The thought caused her own to widen and she ducked her head, shaking it as she tried to fight of her blush. Why was she so nervous all of a sudden? She was a Gryffindor for Merlin’s sake!
“Hey!” Before you could part ways after detention, Chaeyoung caught up to you, a sheepish look on her face while she rocked on the balls of her feet.
“I know that you didn’t want to be here and that I... uh, accidentally bumped into you.” She notices the tint on your cheeks at the mention of that morning, but clears her throat before trying to smile.
“I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean for that to happen, I was just in a hurry for my class.” She ended and you nod your head in understanding, though still a bit awkward. “That’s okay.” You try to laugh as you both start walking down the empty halls. “Knowing that you didn’t intentionally tackle me into a kiss, there’s no bad feelings.”
That made her feel a bit better and a smile bloomed on her face. “Wait, really?” She asks and you shoot her a smile while nodding your head. “Really. But, I think we both need to go unless we want to be stuck in detention again.” You joked and she laughed while nodding in agreement. “That’s fair.”
“Goodnight, Rosé.” You called out as you finally separated ways and she stared after you, waving her hand even when your back was already facing her. “Goodnight.”
..
“Good morning.” Chaeyoung greets you when your houses have one of their shared classes together. You flashed her a smile when she sits next to you, her friends sitting to her other side and giggling when their friend’s attention stays on you.
It came as a surprise when she walked up to you the day after detention, but the girl claimed that she wanted to make it up to you somehow, spending the rest of the afternoon with you and just getting to know each other.
Everything after that just came naturally, and now her friends were yours, too, and vice versa.
“What’s got you all smiley?” You ask her when you picked up your quill and notebook. Chaeyoung hummed lightly, resting her chin against the palm of her hand while she tapped her finger against her cheek. “Well, the girls wanted to stay at the library to study, but I don’t want to.” She had that cheeky smile whenever she came up with something and you knew just where she was heading.
“Since I have other friends, I was thinking I could tag along with you.”
Of course, she did. As soon as you and Chaeyoung became friends, she would always come to you, if not the other three. And being honest, you didn’t mind having the Gryffindor around you, either. So, in the end, you were laying side by side in your bed and just munching on the few snacks she sneaked into your room.“Have you ever wondered what it would be like if muggles knew about us?” She suddenly asked you, making you blink in confusion as you looked up at the ceiling. “Why the sudden question?” You ask back and she shrugs. “Just a random thought. I know that they knew about us, before, but now I wonder if it’s going to be the same.”
“You’ve been very critical with a lot of things, lately.” You note, taking a glance at your friend. “Something bothering you?” She stays quiet for a while, her eyes closing as she hums and then her eyes are open and looking back at you.
“I’m just tired of all the division. Even in our own school, people have their own cliques and stereotype each other.”
You were surprised by her sudden rant, but it was something you welcomed. She always had these sudden thoughts and you would always be there to listen. It could be from the most silly things to serious topics, like this one.
It took you a while to answer, but when you did, your tone was soft, not wanting to look as though you were brushing her feelings off when it was clear she was displeased.
“I think more people just need to be open minded and welcoming with regards to change.” You kept looking at the ceiling while exhaling. “It can start with the people now, or later. It’s just a matter of acceptance and understanding.”
Chaeyoung juts out her lower lip, knowing that you were right, but she just hoped that there was an answer for it, right now.
The subject eventually changes to a lighter one until it was time for her to meet the other girls. You accompanied her to the library and smiled while she let go of your hand. "I'll see you later, yeah?" She asks and you smile lightly while shaking your head.
"Of course, Rosé." Happily, she gives you a peck on the cheek. “I told you, it’s Chaeyoung.” She giggles and waves before she was running off to find her other three friends. You stood there, a bit surprised, but smiled and then walked off with a slight skip in your step and humming a random tune that popped into your head.
..
Entering Hogwarts for your fifth year, you were quick with navigating your friends when you entered the Great Hall and greeting them enthusiastically, hugging each other as though you’ve been gone for years.
“What? No hug for me?” The voice called out from behind you and your smile widened even more, if that was possible, when you saw Chaeyoung, arms open and an expectant look on her face.
Her hair was, now, a cherry blonde and she was much taller compared to when you had first met. Chaeyoung had matured over the years and various students have walked up to her in hopes of swaying her, but she had always been so polite and declined them.
Of course, the same could be said for you, though the confessions weren’t as many, there were still a few that would slip you letters and gifts when you weren’t looking. Your friend group grew, as well, due to your kindhearted nature, but you still had Chaeyoung by your side.
“God, I missed you! I thought I was going to go mad when I spent vacation away from you.” She said whilst squeezing you and you laughed as you rocked her from side to side.
“Don’t go all cheesy on me, now.” You laughed while pulling away to look at her face, and she has that same dazzling smile that could light up the whole room. “Then, I wouldn’t be your Chaeyoung.” She shoots back and you roll your eyes at her antics.
“No need to be so cute in front of us. That’s not cool.” Lisa cut in from behind you. Looking at them, Jennie smiled at you with a wave while Lisa skipped over and squeezed herself between you and your best friend. Jisoo laughed at the faces you made before she decided to join in, hugging you tight.
“You should have visited us! We all could have had fun for vacation!” She stated but winced when she felt the pinch to her side and judging by the way Chaeyoung looked at her, she knew her culprit right away.
Your best friend then proceeded to smile at you whilst Jennie broke up the little hug. “Come on.” She laughed. “You’re making a scene.” The brunette gestured to the various people looking at the five of you. Mostly, the lower years were looking, really, because those who did know you were aware on how close the five of you have been, despite you being from a different house.
Add to the fact that you and Chaeyoung constantly being next to one another, they’ve gotten used to seeing you nearby when they see the other.
“Hey, do you think we can hangout, later? Just the two of us?” The girl suddenly tells you and you smiled at her while nodding. “Of course.” The other three were smiling as well, seemingly aware of what their fellow Gryffindor was planning, but before she could go further, you all had to take your seats for the start of the head master’s speech.
“I’ll fetch you, after.” Chaeyoung pressed a kiss to your cheek, like usual, and then left with your friends.
Jennie was grinning at the blonde, excitement clear on their faces. “Are you going to do it?” She asked and the latter blushed, rubbing the back of her neck. “Well, we did plan on it throughout the vacation. Why wouldn’t I?”
“That’s the spirit.” Jisoo patted her back. “I’m so excited to see the look on Y/n’s face when you tell her.” Lisa wiggled in her seat to emphasize her words. They had been trying to get her to confess ever since the fourth year, but for some reason, whenever she planned to tell you, she would back out.
..
After being welcomed back and finishing your meals, Chaeyoung had hurried to you so she could take you to her room, smiling at a few people as you passed by and greeting at some of the friends you were not able to see earlier.
“What’s this about, that you had to drag me all the way to your room instead of being around the girls?” You laughed when you sat on her bed, bouncing slightly while the other girl watched you with a fond smile.
She was nervous, so to say. She’s seen various people ask you, some you were even clueless to their advances, and she wonders why you haven’t accepted a single one. Were you not looking for a relationship? Or were you just not ready for it?
Snapping out of her thoughts, she chased them away before they decided to pull her courage back, and smiled at you. “It’s just... something really private and I hope you don’t laugh at me.” She answers in a small voice, garnering your attention as you looked to your usually confident best friend.
She was back to the shy girl that spoke to you during detention.
“You can tell me.” You say with a soft smile and she sucks in a deep breath, nodding her head. “I know, but... swear you won’t laugh or that you’ll get upset with me.” She tells you and you furrow your brows together, slowly nodding. “You’re not gonna tell me you murdered someone, are you?” You try to keep things lighthearted, but she’s too serious, and you can see it very clearly.
Chaeyoung stares at you for a moment before she breathes out, voice gentle and even. “I really, really like you.”
When the words fall from her lips, no sound comes after and Chaeyoung could feel her heart crashing repeatedly against her rib cage. She tried to understand the expression you wore on your face, but she was panicking too much, and you weren't reacting to what she had said.
Had she just ruined the friendship she had built with you?
Just as she was about to apologize, you finally cracked, letting out a light laugh as you covered your face in embarrassment. "Oh my god, are you serious?" You asked while peeking through your fingers and she nods stiffly, unsure what to take from your reaction until you got up and approached her.
Her eyes shut tight as she braced herself for what you were about to possibly do, making your eyes roll and lightly hit her arm. “You have got to be one of the oddest Gryffindors I have ever met.” You teased and she huffs. But, before she can retort, you’re smiling and tucking your hair behind your ear.
“I guess that’s what made me like you.”
A gasp fell from her lips and her eyes widened. “You, what?” She didn't know if she was hearing things or it was just her own wishful thinking.
But luckily for her, you had answered her unasked question by wrapping your arms around her and tucking your head under her chin. "You haven't exactly been the most subtle. I was just waiting for you to say something for the past year." You chuckled and the girl groaned, though reciprocating the hug as she buried her nose to your hair.
"You really chose to make it hard for me, didn't you?" She muttered, making you laugh as you pulled away, a happy look on your face as you pecked her cheek. "Well, I thought you were going to tell me, so I didn't bother."
"If you had told me sooner, I wouldn't have had to hear all the ridiculous ideas the girls have been telling me. Jisoo even suggested to give you Amortentia just so we could get it over with, but Lisa argued it wasn't romantic."
You gave her an odd look and she quickly raised her hand in defense. "I didn't agree with their ideas, I swear." She immediately tells you and you nod before finally pulling away from the taller girl, smiling as you did. "Well, how about we go and I hear from them what these ideas were. It sounds interesting considering that Amortentia was brought up."
..
"So, when do you plan on getting a dress?" Seulgi asked while wiggling her brows and your brows raise at her teasing tone. “Why should I tell you? You’re going to end up telling the others.” You stuck your tongue out and she gasped, feigning hurt with her hand to her chest. “Y/n, you wound me! I would never do such a thing.”
“You announced to, basically, the whole house that Chaeyoung and I got together.” You shot back and she cringed, pouting when she latched to your arm. “I said I was sorry!” She whined at you, making you laugh while patting the girl’s head. “I know, but it’s still fun to tease you.”
Yerim, another Gryffindor, just shook her head at the two of you, amusement swimming in her eyes. “It was a big deal for us, too. Who knew that Park Chaeyoung actually had the hots for Hufflepuff’s Y/n L/n.” She grinned. “It made sense why neither of you have ever dated anyone.” She added, Seulgi agreeing to her claim when she finally pulled back.
“Hey, I agreed to a date with Sehun during third year.” You defended and they both deadpan you. “That was one time and you barely said anything to him before you went back after an hour.” Your cheeks puffed as you crossed your arms.
“But, back to the topic, what are you wearing for the Yule Ball? I’m really curious.” Seulgi has been trying to get you to spill any details of what you would be wearing, but you just kept your mouth shut.
“Are we talking about the ball?” An arm wrapped around you before a kiss was dropped on top of your head, letting you know who it was in an instant.
Looking up, you smiled when Chaeyoung smiled to your friends. “Hey, sorry to cut in, but can I steal her for a bit?” She asks and Yerim waved her hand dismissively. “Take her, she’s useless, anyway.” She says playfully and you shoot her a glare.
“Yah!”
“Thanks!” Your girlfriend was already pulling you away, taking your things with you while you whined at her to slow down. “Chae, slow down. Not everyone is blessed with legs like yours!” You tell her and she laughs when she slows down her pace and allows you to catch up to her, hand still latched to yours.
When you were finally walking side by side, she then turned her head to give you a light peck on the lips. “Sorry about that. I missed you.” She pouts and you can’t help but coo at her adorable face. “You saw me three hours ago.”
“Is it a crime to miss my baby?”
Honestly, you could never get tired of her cute little gestures or that bright smile. Not even the, sometimes, ridiculous ideas she and her own group of friends come up with. One of your professors have been asked why trouble seemed to follow them, and you were always there to help them out of it.
“But, I just wanted to ask you something really important.” She turned serious again, and you’re so confused when she leads you to the Room of Requirement. After getting inside, you see the flowers spread everywhere then the candles floating in the air.
In awe, you look around the romantically lit room, smiling when you noticed the candles leading you to the center of the room, where an item gleamed under their light. “Rosé, what’s this?” You ask as you stop in front of the floating object, only to see that it was a puzzle-shaped locket.
Taking it in your hand, you quietly observed the delicately looking written letters with a smile before turning around. “Is this...” But when you look at your girlfriend, she’s holding out a little bouquet and a shy smile.
“I know that we’re dating and all, but you know me.” She chuckles while stepping closer, a hopeful smile on her face despite already knowing the answer.
“Will you go to the dance with me?”
You don’t hesitate jumping into her arms and nodding your head. “Of course, I’ll go to the dance with you!” You tell her and she sighs in relief before she finally crashed her lips against yours, feeling much more comfortable, now that she’s asked you.
As you pull away, face flushed and breathless, she smiles at you while resting her forehead against yours. “By the way, it’s Chaeyoung to you, not Rosé.” You just giggled at her before pulling her into another kiss.
