Biologically, a neuron is an electrically excitable cell that receives, processes, and transmits information through electrical and chemical signals. They are the primary component of all the central nervous system which includes the brain and the spinal cord in any animal. Having known what the neuron does to the human biological system, the scientists said that creation of these special neurons could be used in the making of artificial brains and future robotic system. The making of artificial neurons had been a prediction within the scientists that could become the center of future technology especially regarding the trending technology of artificial intelligence (ai). Artificial neurons aim to become artificial cells that will perform all the functions that biological neurons would do, thereby causing future machines with AI equipped with artificial neurons would be acting exactly like humans and reason on their own and take actions that would base on perceived learning. According to research, a scientist described artificial neurons as a mathematical function conceived as a model of biological neurons, a neural network that forms the elementary units of the artificial neural network. The artificial neuron receives one or more inputs and sums them to produce an output. Usually, each input is separately weighted, and the sum is passed through a non-linear function known as an activation function or transfer function.
