It's funny I don't ship ganonbeck (linebeck x ganondorf) but that's cause in my headcanon ganondorf did meet linebeck but it was under horrible circumstances.

So in wind waker, tetra mentions that the forsaken fortress was once a place that her competitors reside,(tho implied it was her mother that dealt with them, not tetra) than the new owner basically...implied by the broken ships... killed off the previous owners... This implies Ganondorf killed the previous owners.

I headcanon linebeck was apart of that crew and Ganondorf spared his life cause he noticed he was part gerudo.

ok so now that it has been brought to my attention that ganon in animal crossing likes to have the max amount of sugar in his coffee im having ganonbeck thoughts about it. he and linebeck get/make coffee or whatever and linebeck takes it black and forgets to drink any of it bc hes distracted by ganondorf damn near spooning an entire container of sugar into his coffee

Just some thoughts about a ship (it's Ganonbeck).

I guess the reason why I specifically have them paired in the SSBU universe is because how far removed it is from their respective timelines.

No one in WW seem to know anything about the Gerudo, which can imply that they're either extinct, or are just so rare that other Hylians would mistake them as just other Hylians -shrugs-. So of course, Linebeck doesn't know anything about Gerudo culture and the fact that a male born every 100 years becomes their king.

With Ganondorf being the sole male Gerudo, I'm sure he's always been treated like royalty or someone extremely special. Whether he likes this treatment is up for debate, but I imagine it can be stifling at times.

idk, I just like the idea that Linebeck treats Ganondorf like a person. Not a king, god, enemy, or demon, but...just some dude. Sure, he's tall and intimidating, but Linebeck has met much stranger folks that his initial fear for the Gerudo quickly fades away after a few drinks with him. I'm sure that, deep down, Ganondorf appreciates his new friendship.

I also love the prospect of them sharing their stories of adventures and treasure hunting. Despite growing up in vastly different locales, both of them are familiar with how barren their homes can be. I JUST.

It's a crackship, it's a rarepair, but IT BRINGS SO MUCH POTENTIAL. There's no divine history between them like what Ganondorf has with Link and Zelda. They can just be two old men in love.

P.S. I've been reading two fics (here and here) about the two in different timelines and I'm just eating it. Like man, this is good fucking food. I don't know if I'll ever write my own fic, but we'll see lol
