Merlots are very calm and soothing bittys, they always seem to have it together. It can be easy to let them take control of things – you always feel like they have your best interests at heart. Merlots are very distinguished, they don’t appreciate looking disheveled, it gives them an almost “old man” quality. A Merlot’s nest is impeccably clean – you may even find a doily or two! And they somehow have a bowl of no-name candy to offer guests like a strange satire on how seniors live everywhere. However he had an eye for quality and doesn’t accept poor quality furnishings. While a Merlot doesn’t mind taking charge, he appreciates an adopter who takes initiative. A Merlot isn’t above using intimidation to get his way, but he’s so smooth about it you have a hard time noticing! He prides himself in being unflappable, to demand respect without screaming for it. He certainly has a devious side – he didn’t get this far without knowing how to “play the game” and isn’t above a few white lies for the sake of it. He can be quite paternal as well, he enjoys taking younger bittys under his “wing” and helping raising them. While he can seem rather stiff he’s actually a warm-hearted bitty who enjoys cuddles and being needed.

Espresso

Size (Full Sized): Length - 2-2.5m (7-8.5 ft), Standing - 1-1.5m (3-5 ft)

Despite the name: Espressos aren’t very active bittys. They mostly prefer the quiet – gaming and drawing are their favourite hobbies. They tend to be shy and soft spoken – loud people can startle them into muteness and a lot of the time they prefer to communicate in non-verbal ways. If you want a gaming companion an Espresso is your perfect bitty match: but be warned – gaming is a fixation for them. If you ask them to not continue a game until you can play it together later it’s almost unfair to them, they’ll become obsessed with what’s next. Games with both single player and co-op content is more ideal – he can work on the single player campaign while he waits for you to come back to the co-op campaign. His shyness makes multi-player gaming a bit hit or miss – he doesn’t like gaming where a lot of communication and strategy is necessary – he prefers staying quiet and working towards objective without any instruction given or taken. His exception is co-op, he loves playing games together with you and feels his most accomplished when you both complete a challenging level together. He isn’t super competitive but takes pride in his skills so be careful setting up play-dates with bittys that may not appreciate losing to a quiet, seemingly submissive bitty. Despite his quiet and gentle nature he isn’t one to allow people to take advantage of him or disrespect him – he will stand up for himself, usually by exiting the situation instead of getting into an argument, and when pushed, he WILL fight back. He is surprisingly skilled and controls his magic well.

G!Siblings Ampitheres

So I decided to give my ampitheres the same human-like intelligence of all my other lamia bittys, but restrict them to a one-size bitty like my Harpys. Honestly a full size ampithere’s wingspan would make them pretty tough to house indoors…

Suave

Snake: Bolen’s Python

Venomous?: No

Size: 1-1.5m long (3-5ft), 0.5m (2ft) standing

Suaves pride themselves on being, well, suave and flirtatious – it helps them stay in control of the conversation and relationship so you don’t discover how much of a dork they really are. Suaves inherited Gaster’s love or building important monuments – like the Core. He’s interested in work that will stand the test of time, with the added benefit of being practical. He’s not interested in building, say: the Pyramids for vainglory. But, if that Pyramid was covered in solar panels that provided electricity for the nearby citizens – that’s up his alley. He also has an interest in motorized vehicles like cars, trucks and motorcycles – but he admits he’d have a difficult time using one without a lot of modifications. Which could be fun. Suaves love flashy experiments and inventions that leave an impact on his audience: however, when he’s working on his next big thing he ends up working at all hours of the night in his pajamas. His inspirations are flashes of brilliance and a flurry of work, after which, he collapses into a deep sleep for up to 36 hours. Despite appearances Suaves are huge nerds who love to share their work with interested listeners and isn’t above goofy shenanigans. They share a Sans’ sense of humour and laid back attitude – but it’s a mask to cover the whirling chaos of the mind within. Suaves can be surprisingly immature and will get a kick out of pranks and childish humour. A Suave can summon up to four disembodied “hands” to help him work on projects that require dexterity but doesn’t often use constructs in offensive magic. He’s more of a behind-the-scenes guy – but he can certainly manage bone attacks.

Savvy

Snake: Amazon Tree Boa

Venomous?: No

Size: 1.25-1.75m long (4-6ft), 0.75m (2.5ft) standing

While Suaves are the rock star scientists, the Savvys end up being in the babysitter role more times than they’d like. Savvys inherited Gaster’s interest in the soul and physical health of monsters and humans; since Savvys are on the autistic spectrum it helps them understand others better because, although they have trouble empathizing with others, it does not mean they don’t CARE. I head-cannon that smoking is a Gaster-trait and a Savvy’s Papyrus half REFUSES to participate in such a disgusting habit! Therefore Savvy’s tend to have an oral fixation to make up for the lack of smoking: chewing on the end of pencils, pens, their own tails… and rely far too much on caffeine. A Savvy works hard, but on a schedule and his experiments are always tightly controlled as opposed to a Suave’s scientific method. Savvys are polite, distinguished and a bit absent minded when it comes to personal relationships. If you’re looking for a bitty that will faun over you – look elsewhere. While Savvy’s certainly care about their adopters and family they are independent and self sufficient. They can seem humourless but the right touch can send them into giggles, they are very passionate about their interests and appreciate an interested audience (or at least captive). Savvys enjoy being needed and do well in situations where they can work as doctor’s, biologists or psychologists. They’re not judgmental and they like to look at the world with endless curiosity and enthusiasm! Savvys can summon up to four disembodied “hands” to help him work on projects that require dexterity but prefers to use his magical energies in his studies and use of healing magic. His offensive magic abilities are rather stunted because of this.

Bonus Lamia Bitty - Blueberror

Blue Ribbon

Snake: Blue striped Ribbon Snake

Venomous?: No

Size (Bitty): 0.5-1m (1.6-3ft), 0.3m standing

Size (Full Sized):1-1.5m (3-5ft) 0.5m standing

Ribbons are afraid of being alone (autophobic), they know that being alone in the anti-void is what caused their transformations from Blueberries to Blueberrors. They thrive in large families and want to be seen as a friend and protector by the group. Do not adopt one of these guys if you spend a lot of time out of the home and can’t provide them attention. A bitty family is a good stop-gap but they really need validation and one-on-one time with their adopters. Ribbons retain most of their personality traits from their Blueberry days but they’re a little… off. A little, too intense. Ribbons can get caught up in an emotion or situation and can spiral out of control whether the emotion is: joy, anger, frustration, or fear. They need a patient friend who can help them “reset” their emotional clock. Of course, being an Error, it sometimes causes a hard crash that they need to restart from. Depending on the situation they can forget completely what had set them off and will continue along like nothing happened. Other times, they remember what happened but the restart gave them enough time to reprocess so they can move on and get past what set them off. They can get depressed easily especially is someone is afraid or intimidated by him – he knows he’s different now, but he’s still a good guy at heart! A Ribbons magic is star-based – they create star-shaped attacks and can even summon a star to ride around on like Kirby.

My lamia recommendations for you are:

Papython (UT!Papyrus): Papythons are kind and affectionate lamias who enjoy helping their adopters. Papythons are tidy and organized, and they exude a natural positive aura that can help with depression and anxiety. Papythons love crafts, and creative adopters greatly appeal to them.

Pygmy (US!Sans): Pygmies are energetic and optimistic lamia bitties. Pygmies love to build things, especially with LEGOs and other building toys. Pygmies will create elaborate obstacle courses for themselves and entertain you by zooming and playfully hunting your plushies (without damaging them, of course).

Chain (SF!Papyrus): Chains share a unique SOUL bond with their adopters that makes them an excellent companion for those with anxiety and depression. Chains are loyal and will always try to make sure you are as comfortable as possible in any situation. Chains especially enjoy video games, mysteries, and going on walks.

As for regular bittybones (something we discussed beforehand since I don’t usually do these):

Baby Blue (US!Sans): He’s cute, friendly, and helpful. I think he would be a cheerful companion who would give plenty of encouragement and love.

Softbones: He smells nice, which can be quite calming. He sleeps a lot and is downright adorable, plus he loves his adopter a lot. I think a Softbones is a good bitty for you because he is calming.

G Grillbitty (UT!Grillby): He’s friendly and helpful, but also protective. I think he would be a good match because of his kindness and helpfulness. I also think having a nice warm friend to snuggle is nice.

I understand this is a Sanctuary and rescue center, and that you don't do adoptions, but I've been asking this question around to Bitty Bones blogs in general since I'm still pretty new to this side of the fandom. You don't need to answer, but if I could ask your opinion would you recommend me a Bitty?

To be entirely honest, recommendations can be… Dodgy. Not saying that they aren’t a good starting off point and that folks who do get recommendations don’t get a full relationship with their bitty, but there are a LOT of factors that contribute to how well a relationship works, especially with bitties.

In my experience, it comes down to 3 primary sticking points: Personality compatibility, level of willing effort, and adaptability.

Personalities can vary heavily from person to person, let alone bitty to bitty, but most bitty types do tend towards certain traits due to their means of creation. A good place to start is to look into these traits, finding what you feel is most compatible with your personal preferences and what you’re willing to put up with. For first time adopters, visiting a center and speaking with the available bitties can help a lot with figuring out who you’ll get along with best.

Bitties that are especially flexible and adaptable to various owners include; Papy or Classic Papyrus, Sansy or Classic Sans, Soft Bones, and Lil Bro or Swap Papyrus. Papy types in general tend towards adaptability and self reliance and can be very good for a first time bitty caretaker who isn’t entirely sure what they might be getting into.

Willing effort relates to how much work you as an individual are willing to put into the care and keeping of a bitty. Most bitty types can be relatively self reliant if talked through things and given boundaries to work in, much like very small roommates, but others will require more attention and care. A good example is to compare a Papy with a Meek. A Papy will be able to clearly communicate and will usually have a good enough handle on their magical abilities to be able to access their various needs, while a Meek will need help in their daily lives due to being both deaf and mute. Greater patience and effort is needed to properly care for a Meek, and their one of the types that aren’t in need of specialized medical care or living spaces, like Brassberries or the various lamia types.

The most self reliant bitty types include; Papy or Classic Papyrus, Boss or Fell Papyrus, Edgy or Fell Sans, Sagns or G!Sans, Agapu or G!Papyrus, Cleave or Horror Sans, Splinter or Horror Papyrus. Self reliant means they will usually to prefer to take care of things themselves, however, depending on the type, leaving the bitties to tend to their needs themselves could result in harm coming to you personally.

Again, these are just break downs on a few concepts to help you figure out who would match you best as not just a companion, but as a housemate you’ll be interacting with on a daily basis. I know I butt heads with some of my crew- I tend to be quite stubborn and self sacrificing, putting the well being of others so far above my own that I’ll forget to properly take care of myself. It’s one of the reasons Key Largo and I get along so well, since I enjoy being able to help and care for him and making sure that he maintains a good quality of life in my care, and he finds contentment in bothering me into seeing to my own needs and helping me out when I run myself ragged. There’s several reasons why he’s my second in command here at the Center, though Key and Ed tend to split duties between themselves more often than not.

In any case, adopting a bitty will be an endeavor, and if you’re willing to do your research and stick it out, I guarantee you’ll find a forever friend at the end of the adventure.

Hi it's me again! Thanks for answering my last message! To narrow the search I'd prefer to start with Cry's Classics, but Lamia's are cool too:D As for me I'm a nerdy anime lover who reads the manga in order to be ahead of the anime and re-watches Studio Ghibli. Pretty lazy/ laid back, I also enjoy cooking and attempting to recreate food from a certain "cough" food anime;) For a bitty I hope to find someone who doesn't mind fan girl squeals, kitchen messes, or traveling seasonally. Thank you!

You're very welcome! I went through all the notes I have on Cry's Bitties and I found a couple that I think might work for you.

Quick Disclaimer: Cry gave up the BittyBones AU to the fandom, so I've taken some creative liberties with the Bitties. They didn't supply a ton of information about each type beyond the basics, so I've filled in the gaps. Other people may have different headcanons on these Bitties and that's fine. These are the Cry Bitties as they exist in Synthtale (the universe where Lady's Bitties takes place)

Meek: This is a Papyrus type Bitty. They tend to be high maintenance because they're deaf and tend to struggle with emotional dependency. However, being deaf means that fangirl squeals will never bother them. It also means that they will be happy watching anime (with subtitles) or reading Manga with you. They tend to have difficulties with learning sign language, but they learn to read very quickly. They also enjoy writing and drawing. I'm sure a Meek would LOVE watching Studio Ghibli movies if only for the amazing artwork. Meeks are very shy so traveling might be stressful for him at first. They can be fairly clingy, but you can use this as a way to help calm a stressed or upset Meek. Keeping him close to you can help him feel safe. He can perch on your shoulder and nuzzle into your neck, or you can keep him in your pocket. His favorite place to be is in a chest pocket. There he can feel your body heat and your heartbeat.

G: This is a Grillbitty. Gs are friendly and soft-spoken, but they don't mind others being loud so long as they aren't being ignored or completely drowned out. As a fire elemental, he loves cuddling. He usually has excellent control over his flames, so there isn't much danger of him catching anything on fire, but he will insist on you being careful anyway. Gs are extremely protective of their adopters and family. He won't ever burn you on purpose, but accidents happen. He will do his best to make sure you're safe from him and his flames. He won't mind reading manga with you or watching Studio Ghibli, but he would quickly become a fan of any cooking-based anime/manga and he would be thrilled to help you recreate those dishes. He wouldn't mind the kitchen mess, but he would encourage you to clean it all up. Gs will help as best they can with that sort of thing, as long as you don't ask them to wash any dishes. As fire elementals, they are extremely susceptible to water. A few drops will cause pain, but full immersion can lead to death. This also applies to travel. A G will actually get excited about travel if it means he can sample new kinds of foods with you. Just remember to be prepared for any type of weather. Gs can handle extreme temperatures, but humidity and precipitation can be dangerous.

Pan: This is a Flowey Bitty. They are modeled after Pansies and come in many different colors. They tend to be a little nervous and self-conscious, but they try to hide this behind lots of witty jokes and word-play. They don't necessarily need lots of attention, but they do need lots of company. You don't have to constantly be showing him affection and focusing on him, but spending time with and near him will do him a world of good. They tend to get bored easily, but they also really enjoy watching TV. He would definitely enjoy watching anime or reading manga together. He would particularly enjoy learning about Japanese word-play. (For those who don't know, many Japanese words sound VERY similar. This leads to tons of puns and funny misunderstandings.) Traveling would be easy with a Pan since you can pot him and bring him wherever you go. He wouldn't mind being in close quarters with you and he would be happy to share some special memories with you. The one thing to keep in mind while traveling with a Flowey Bitty is the weather. All Flowey Bitties are susceptible to extreme cold and Pans specifically are prone to drying out. They need to be watered at least once a day but may need to be watered more frequently if you travel to someplace hot and dry.

Those are my suggestions. If none of these tickles your fancy or you'd like to look at some Lamia Bitties or Puppypapris or another line of Bitties, then just let me know and I'll make some new suggestions.

When The House Came Up

Characters: Baby Bitties, Toriel, Coffee, Zalman, Magnar and Arach

(Coffee came from @mks-magical-menagerie and Zalman, Magnar and Arach came from @vex-bittys, if you guys don’t want me to tag you in these stories, please let me know, I don’t want to bother you guys!)

Warning: This is just the dynamics of those whom live in the Bad Bitty household, not much of a story, those will definitely come later.

The house was finally completed officially for the bitties, though the main cast would still have their table to answer questions and receive tokens, there were officially rooms for the other bitty types and everything was to be in full swing. Rooms for all the bitties were filled with a good amount each type, not too much as to overwhelm everyone as everyone was very happy with the set-up.

Toriel Bitties from Queenies to Raggedies and Empresses were set up to live with Murders as those bitties needed others than themselves, though a few Murders were very happy to set up shop in the Horror room where Horror Sans bitties- and more importantly Teeth Papyrus’ and Mumchers- were as the Horrortale bitties were permanent set up in the pantry where they could continually dig into the supply of food.

Killers had the smallest room as there were four Killers and all had their stabilizing Nightmares to keep them from doing something reckless, however the Nightmare and Dream Bitties were given their own room, all bitties coexisting peacefully with little incidents as the main Toriel, Murder, Horror, Nightmare and Killer were referred to as higher powers that were approached when bitties needed advice or help with something.

Of course there was also those that were recruited from the Owner Dotchi to help out in managing the whole of the bitties, some more surprising than others.

There was Coffee- the Swapfell Gold Papyrus Bara - whom was more than happy to just become a jungle gym for the bitties, adult bitties and baby ones alike being able to climb him, though he would likely have a hand cupped under them if they were babies, just in case.

Coffee also does bring in the literal tons of food that were needed on a continual basis for Horrors, Teeth and Mumchers, also telling stories to bitties that were curious of the brother he lost, showing them his medals- and it became a theme where some mornings he would wake up in his room and find the medals with a certain shine on them that he didn't do, and sometimes every week or other he would play records, he was very well-liked by very many bitties and Toriel had claimed her as her ward, so she kept an eye on him during daylight, making sure the bara was eating well and that he wasn’t having anxiety over the new arrivals, whenever that happened Toriel and Coffee’s mate Dotchi made sure to clear the area to make sure he got his space and got back into the right mindset, and if he had no energy to do so he wouldn’t get pressured and would be allowed to go to his room and just take the rest of the day off.

Then there was Arach the Magnificent Mamba, Zalman the Peaceful Chain and Magnar the Stubborn Coral. When the three are not around Dotchi being pampered, filled with affection and showered with glittering and impressively beautiful trinkets they are usually around the baby bitties.

Many of the tiny bitties are very impressed with Arach’s fast reflexes, helping him burn off energy by playing with him, throwing or pulling the lures he has until he kills them- something tiny Murders, Dreams and Nightmares like to do best- or helping him with his shiny scales or praising him- something tiny Tori bitties, especially Empresses, like to do for him-.

Others joke around with Magnar- like Nightmares and Horrors- or give him affection- mostly by Toriel bitties of all kinds- as his tsundere act is not something babies pay attention to, and Zalman is of course the peacekeeper between bitties of all ages, young and old during arguments, keeping Arach from getting too out of hand, and is definitely the one to play more emotionally investing games with, having a much wider range in the home than Magnar and Arach do, which is probably for the best seeing as there might be some clashing from the adults with the lamia bitties they have not grown up with, but things will be subject to change when time passes.

But for now the three lamia bitties guard the baby bitty room, not allowing any strangers past that point, after all the children are theirs so of course anyone who will try to get in without permission will be bitten without remorse.

And of course there is the owner Dotchi whom runs at the front to greet those that come in to see bitties, seeing as the only one who could run the front desk that was large enough and wasn’t anxious was Zalman, she would have to do something about that at some point, but for now it would have to do.

And behind her was a cork-board that had many photos pinned on it, like a group photo of Murder, Toriel, Horror, Nightmare and Killer, as well as a picture of Toriel pulling Murder out of a sink or Killer trying to murder Toriel and Murder, along with many more.

And at the very corner of that had a few names written down of those that had been noticed- you know who you are! And even if you don’t know, I’m likely looking at you anyways and still think you’re awesome anyways!- and those that had mentioned about possibly getting bitties such as chats-little-ladybug and underseriesfan, whose names can be crossed out when they make it clear they don’t want the bitties or come to receive those who are waiting for them.

The Place is Officially and Happily Open.

I'm sorry lol I'm probably getting annoying. This will be my last one I promise. Have you ever heard of Lamia Skellies? I believe eli-sin-g created them. I was just wondering how the skellies would react to their S/O getting one?

These are the little snake things right?! Like the top half is a Skelton and then their pelvis turns into an ecto snake tale like a mermaid tail. Kinda. And I believe. To my knowledge and I may be wrong but they are small like bitties. I know I've seen like big scale ones but I see them more depicted as small so that's what I'm going with. Also there are like seven or something of these so I'm going for you skeleton you got the brother lamia. So if your dating Orange you got a blue on and vice versa. SansUh that's cool? He's a bit weirded out by the thing but honestly to lazy to do anything about it. Prepare for all the snake puns but he honestly isn't bothered by it. PapyrusHe loves the damn thing. Like he will greet the lamia before he greets you. He loves carrying it around and trying to get the lazy thing to play with him. OrangeHe thinks it's cute. He doesn't think it's cute how the things climbs up his spin and wraps itself around his ribs. He could live without that. BlueIs honestly kind of jealous of the thing and how you treat it. Why won't you pay more attention to him? He wants food to? Your suppose to be helping him with his trap not napping with your skeley snakeRedWhy? Why would you do this. It's super annoy. And is taking your attention away from him. He doesn't like it and is constantly torturing the poor thing. However this lamia has teeth and is not afraid to use them so Red ends up with a bunch of scratches and teeth marks on his hands EdgeOh so you think your pet is superior well Doomfanger will show you otherwise. Your lamia isn't to happy about this fact and is often left clinging to you in tears of fear as you scold your boyfriend. SyrupHe hates it. The two are basically in a war for your attention. He's trying to hug you goddamn it stop slithering up her arm you dick. Of course he can't kill the damn thing cause then you'll be upset. He can and will however lock it in cupboards or somewhere where it can't get out of when he comes over. BerryThinks it super weird. You have a small snake skeleton hybrid and are keeping it as a pet. What is wrong with you. He tries to avoid it.
