Tumblr, I’m sorry, I once again forgot to post here… I finally finished Aidan’s 2.0 suit now with his new design and I’m SOOO happy with him! Aidan was my first original character I ever made, 16 years ago now, so having a suit of him I’m really proud of and happy with is so nice. I can’t wait to bring him to cons, even though I know the ears are going to be a hassle to travel with.

Then you don't deserve me at my badass snarling mechanism in the snout werewolf fursuit😈

(Ami was my first ever fursuit. Made somewhere around 2006? And my blonde werewolf was started in 2021)

And no joke, I literally HOT GLUED every seam on that Ameterasu costume. I didn't have a sewing machine at the time 😅🫠

And the paper mache head was so heavy and hard it literally survived being stepped on.

It's crazy to see how far I've grown in skill. I'm so proud of my werewolf. I have been slowly learning new techniques specifically so I could make this suit for myself.

Brain, I appreciate you coming up with better ideas on how to make parts of this cosplay, I really do … but couldn’t you have come up with these ideas earlier than, say, 6 working days before it needs to be ready?

Day 5: Rabbit, Reclaim

AGJGDFJF FINALLY IT'S DAY 5 SO I CAN POST THIS

For some reason everytime i draw him he looks so young because i'm accidentally overcorrecting since i'm used to drawing older characters. So unfortunately he looks way younger than i meant him to lol, whoops.

But wait there's more- AHAHAHA

While I did initially plan this for GGY week I eventually got the idea to use this as an excuse to draw other GGY designs, soo..

(Not sure why tumblr formatted it that way with 1 of them big but it doesn't matter lol)

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I put the tags of each person next to their design but ofc I'm still gonna tag them in the post itself so you can see their art for yourself if you haven't already. But I enjoyed each of these in their own ways so if you don't mind I think I'm gonna type a bit of text next to them..

@chipistrate This was one of the first I drew out of these, the design was pretty fun to draw but sorry if I messed up a few details, it was a bit difficult lol. The mask and goggles are really fun to draw and they make for a cool design, along with all the glowing blue. (and yes, I tried to subtly include the heelies lol)

@lunzi0 This was the first fursuit one I did lol. I adore the little stars in the design, they personalize it so well and make it really unique. I wanna try this design again since I feel like the other ones show my improvement a bit better, but I hope you can appreciate the effort I put in on my first attempt <3

@carouselrabbit This one was really fun to draw, I absolutely love the eye shape/lashes, it stands out and I always love drawing eyes with a bit of eyeliner lol, the daycare theme legwarmers is a cool nod to the balloon boy arcade machine being connected to them, and was just a fun addition in general lol, I like the style of legwarmers what can I say, fnaf changed my fashion sense a bit. also the subtle paraells to freddy's design is a nice way to connect a bit to gregory himself.

@puhpandas I can't remember if I talked about this design last time I drew it but, overall I'm really happy with how this came out, it's such an indicator of improvement since I started drawing this and I'm glad I was able to draw it better than last time lol. All the patchwork and similarities to Vanny's suit work really well, and the rabbit you chose to base it off of was a good fit, the colors make it a bit more difficult to shade for but i like detail lol, hope you like it too :)

@dykevanny I knew I wanted to do this since I started but I wasn't sure if I'd have time, and I'm glad I did! I hope you don't mind I combined aspects from the first design I saw and the second one you replied to my ask with, I liked the big purple sleeves lol. (I just realized after doing all the shading I forgot to include the oil splatter on his jacket, sorry!) It was definitely a bit difficult due to the head shape being so different but.. fluffy. i love drawing fluff. And the glowing swirl on the goggles, the shape of the ears, I love a lot about this design. :D

I have a hard time with writing compliments but I wanted to get some of those thoughts out, some of the things I like about these designs apply to multiple lol. I adore every one of these designs but I find it hard to put into words what I enjoy about them, hope the original creators are happy with these. <3

I also kept the ggys without as much lighting effects on a separate file, I felt like I should add them since they're a bit brighter lol, makes them look different.

Okay now that I've gotten all that- Sorry this post is so long! I didn't think it'd end up taking up so much space lol. Buut.. working on this drawing and thinking about it and potential context behind it gave me an au idea for it, but I'll put it under the cut since I understand most people probably won't care and just wanna see the drawings lol.

Idk if I'm confident enough to write for it but I'll give a bit of a summary.. I'll keep it under the cut for people who aren't interested and just wanna see the art though lol.

After the main events of SB and Ruin, now that the mimic's been set free, Cassie's taken control of by what's left of Vanny, using her as a new host. But with Cassie being the only human left alive down there, after being reawakened, Dr. Rabbit has nowhere left to go but back to his old host.

Vanessa, Freddy, and Gregory hadn't gone back to the Pizzaplex after ruin, but they were trying to figure out a plan to get Cassie back safely. One night after Freddy and Gregory disappear, Vanessa leaves to go find them. As dangerous as the pizzaplex is, it's her best guess for where they might've gone. She doesn't want to think about what could've happened to them, in denial for the worst case scenario. She tries to keep herself calm by telling herself they probably just left to go back for Cassie, maybe they didn't want her stopping them.. but deep down she knows it can't be that simple. She knows something's off, even if she's not ready to admit it.

When returning to the pizzaplex, she brought along her own V.A.N.N.I. mask, though unlike the one Cassie used, it was clear of the mimic's influence. After all, she was going to need some way to travel through potential blocked routes.

By the time she found Gregory, she'd still been wearing the mask, seeing him down the end of a dark hallway. He looked confused, afraid, his mind was a wreck of conflicting emotions. She started rushing towards him, happy to see him okay, until he finally spoke.

"You need to get out of here."

She stepped back, taking off the mask, only to be faced with the worst case scenario.

It was a wreck, covered in stains and tears, but it was still recognizable. He was wearing that old suit again.

As he waved, she could see Freddy's claws peeking out from the doorway, as the two stepped closer towards her.

So, she did what he told her to do, and started running. She could hear a faint voice coming from the mask, and put it back on before finding somewhere she could hide.

It was his voice again, telling her which way to go.

I guess that was the dramatic way to summarize the main idea behind it, lol. Basically Gregory and Dr. Rabbit work the way Sun and Moon work in Ruin, whichever one is in control in the real world, the other is left behind in the AR world. Or at least that's my interpretation of how they worked, considering Sun was always in mask-on scenes and moon was mask-off. I'm not too sure where the plot might go from there, and maybe I'll consider writing for it, I dunno. I've never wrote fanfic before because I get deadly afraid of writing them out of character lol, but maybe?? I have ideas for scenes and premise and stuff but I don't know if I have the confidence to write it.

But anyway! That was just more of a fun side-idea I came up with while working on this, if you read this far thanks, hope you enjoyed :)

Immortal au drabble, about 766 words, no warnings

You've never been too close to the human staff in the pizzaplex, save for Sean who made the dayshift security around, and a few of the other animatronic handlers who you talked to every once in a while to come up together with improvement suggestions.

Humans were exhausting, and you were here for the animatronics anyway, so it worked out.

That said, you were still polite to everyone else, of course. This place was the depths of the pits of hell you willingly walked into, but that wasn't the same for them. They put up with stuff for the pay, and you didn't need to make things harder for them.

So like that, you always greeted Vanessa with a small smile at the start of her shift. Although not friends, you would sometimes ask how she was doing whenever you two happened to bump into each other. You never got a detailed answer, but the small talk was there, and it was enough. You made it a point to get her sundrops and fizzy faz when she looked particularly tired — can't have security failing on you, after all.

When she started acting strange, you didn't confront her too hard about it. Everyone noticed how avoidant she had become, barely talking to people if she could help it, looking as tense as it could be. You asked if she was okay, and reminded her to take breaks, but at the end of the day it wasn't your business. People go through lows in life, it's something as common as breathing. You didn't think too much of it.

And then Moon caught the virus.

You became too busy trying to get rid of it and avoiding other people getting hurt or noticing to look into every detail about it like you'd have liked to. No matter how experienced you are, you never had to deal with a glitchy murder robot before. It's been a while since anything in your life had been this much trial and error and yet you still hadn't managed to get rid of it even after turning his whole systems upside down a million times.

You noticed the way it tried to lure kids away.

You never allowed it.

You tamed it enough you could finally start looking for the source when you stayed overtime.

Why the [faz] was there a furry walking around after hours was completely beyond you. You had a headache whenever that bunny thing was near. Vanessa proved you something was wrong when she tried to make you think you were going insane from lack of sleep, that there was no rabbit, and the staff bots would have alerted her if there was. You may be severely sleep deprived, but you know what you saw.

Of course, you didn't tell her until you had snooped into everything you possibly could, every inch of this damned place. You know better than to leave your issues into human's hands.

It didn't take a genius to put the dots together after observing enough — well, not that you understood why Vanessa made it a hobby to walk around ominously in a fursuit, but you knew who was at fault for the things you went through.

You wish you could've said you had seen it coming on her being the culprit.

You did see it coming when she tried to kill you for knowing too much, though. Well, not like she managed to make more than a small cut on you, but you won't forget the dread on her face when you greeted her with your usual cheerful smile the next day, not a single scratch on you as if nothing had happened, making her question her whole sanity. Serves her right, even if you had to be more careful after that, least you want that scum to find you out.

You hate hurting people, for they are fragile and weaker than you. Twisting them wrong enough can ruin their bodies for the rest of their lives, and unlike you, they only have one.

You would have killed her on the spot for putting Moon and Sun in harms way, though.

Lucky for her, you need her alive to find a way to get this done with once and for all.

(Lucky for her, too, you had close experience with someone who had been mind controlled like her. You reminded yourself time and time again how it wasn't Moon's fault, so you choose to be merciful to her. You won't be as nice if there's a next time, though. You made sure she understood it.)

Hello I just found you blog and 1) your art is BEAUTIFUL?? The style is driving me insane. 2) needle felted fursuits!! I’ve never seen anything like it, I’m sure you’ve gotten asks about it before, but how do you even MAKE something like that? What are you using as a base?

mostly they are made out of pure autistic dedication and loathing for sewing/patterning and disregard for all other well respected and reasonable methods of mask making within the community. for my most recent moving jaw head the base is constructed out of a scaffolding of sturdy wire with wool wrapped around the wiring then thread wrapped around that in order to compact it, then i simply built up the mass over time. the lower jaw is slightly different, i made the hinge mechanism out of thermo plastic, then the rest of the jaw is supported by embroidery plastic mesh so i could felt through the little holes & keep it a bit lighter. this internal scaffolding allows for the strength required to support the long snout & allows for some nice responsiveness in terms of movement, and most importantly to me an extremely thin mask since im pretty short and prefer to keep things as proportional as possible and dont particularly like the bobble head look of some masks. of course this comes with the caveat of breaking hundreds and hundreds of needles on the metal and plastic inside. the weight and the long snout is handled by my method of making a harness made of elastic that attaches to the back of the head and around my chest/under my arms, its imperfect and makes taking it off/putting it back on kind of a hassle but allows the moving jaw mechanism to work with pretty good responsiveness. in terms of the actual felting its just a matter of keeping with it & not giving up

sorry for the rant.... this is a project ive been working on for literal years so finally "finishing" it is exciting to me and i enjoy the process of jerry rigging weird solutions to weird problems. though i wouldnt actually consider it finished so much as just at a state of being wearable. a lot of the patterning still needs to be refined and redone and some of the felting needs to be compacted more and i need to improve the transition between mask & fur & might redo the ears entirely but right now i just wanna do some completely different sculpting and not touch needlefelting again for some time. though with my current experience i now know how to make the process a bit more efficient and streamlined

y'know. I don't do a whole lot of things particularly well. but I DO do a LOT of different things somewhat competently! I can 3d model. I can draw. I can program. I can craft (working on a fursuit still!). I'm pretty good at making things! even if those things themselves aren't necessarily great, I still do have a wide range of skills I'm always expanding and improving! and it's very fun to, on a whim, go "oh wait I can apply my skill here" and then do it.

1 year ago I made WereJim, the thing I’ll probably forever be known for and was supposed to be just an overly elaborate shitpost I put too much time and money into.

Happy birthday(?) WereJim fursuit :3

What do the symbols mean? It’s the timeline of him. Starting with the fights on Reddit, the furry convention that was swatted, just random things I put there, the Pride March I attended as him in 35°C heat and the fire.

Wild how it’s been a year, doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. Not gonna lie, in December last year I considered destroying him because of the stress he brought. But I’m glad I didn’t because, as weird as this sounds, he’s really important to me and to other people it seems.

I’ve worn him to many events. Vancoufur 2023, Kelowna Pride, my mom’s company Easter party, our makeshift Comicon after Kelowna Comicon was cancelled and a furry bowling night. Each time he’s only brought joy. I still remember a few encounters where people recognized him. Makes me :)

I’ve also improved him a lot over time. Here is a timeline:

September - October 2022. Took a while because I got Covid halfway through.

The first completed head selfie, October 22, 2022

The photoshoot my mom did of me, October 27, 2022.

December 2022, his glasses broke so I made new ones. I also made him into a rug temporarily. Me and my grandma also made him a better cardigan.

March 2023. I went to Vancoufur. His paws now have claws.

June 2023. I went to Kelowna Pride. I took someone’s suggestion with the shirt.

August 2023, new glasses and almost became one of my only possessions.

October 2023. New eyes and LEDs.

That the end for now. Idk if I can add onto him any further. Besides, I’m still working on another for a different youtuber/streamer with an animal character. Idk when it’ll be done at this point but y’all will see it when it is :3

I’m also thinking about just committing to a Jim Pickens cosplay. I already have his fursona.

I realized that I have never shown my SaH fursuit here in my life :3

This summer I made it for a cosplay festival!)

The hedgehog's name is Godelium, he is one of my main OCs. And the one who strokes me and whose tail I was holding on to is my friend’s @taillesscomet fursuit and her chipmunk /squirrel (Godelium is gay! Both characters are guys!)

Later the fursuit was improved (since I got caught in the rain and had to change the helmet a little!) There are almost no photos from the second festival :"(
