in order to keep my home, i have to raise $100 daily and pay it to management. the office is closed on sundays (today), but they are open monday - saturday. i need any and all help with this. i have been trying to do this for months, this is a last ditch effort/attempt. i have an upcoming colonoscopy & then my top surgery consultation is in june (& then the surgery itself is six to seven months from after that appointment). top surgery also depends on the results from my CT Scan and colonoscopy. toes crossed everyone, i am so close to the finish line.

I made a comic about the chaos cat being beset by the sillies.

Look below if you wish to read an excerpt from some poorly articulated babbling done by muah earlier this week.

Alrighty folks, I’m running on four hours of sleep,it’s my furbabs’ birthday week, and I want to talk about the chaos cats. Mostly Freckle.

Freckle is not much of a talker but he is expressive. He’s more verbal in the animated version, with his comic version quietly watching their surroundings (including butterflies, which is funny because I had made an ADHD joke about him before seeing that panel).

But I don’t mean “expressive” purely in terms of body language– cats are still social species (and solitary hunters) which means that communicating with those around them is hardwired in. No, I’m talking about gestures and vocalizations that are clearly intended to convey something to those around him.

Take for instance his habit of shielding his face and always holding items– so as to shield his face. Shy boy is shy, what can I say? Also, the whole ‘holding stuff whenever possible’ is something I do, too, so my ND brain defaulted to “Meerkat paws??” (or the more commonly known “raptor claws”.)

Shielding his face is more of a comfort than an escape, as he outright runs away from others or otherwise evades when overly uncomfortable; the shielding is more something he seems to do when already somewhat comfortable. It’s a bit like saying “Please back off, I need space” which itself implies a desire to remain where one is and some small trust in the other person to comply.

The animated version introduces something new to the character, which are wordless vocalizations.

Off the top of my head, only two characters are shown to make cat noises in place of verbalizations, the other character being when Mordecai hissed while hurrying away from the flooding. But while Mordecai’s hiss is reflexive (and something which humans do, too; we hiss from pain or fear) Freckle’s are more drawn out and he does more than one.

Am I aware that this is probably just fun flavour added to the cat show ‘cause they’re cats? Yes. Am I now convinced that Freckle is neurodivergent in spite of that fact? Also yes. Does Freckle’s occasional trouble with social cues and tone make me want to double down on this fact?

Does it??

So I was legit panicking I'd have to renew my Korean license to rent a damn car to get us to the airport ( 28 days babes!) OR pay 300 to the travel office on base for someone to drive us there. After we walk our asses back to base and take two different cabs to the hotel off base we have to stay at because Claire beans is a long girl and won't fit in a medium sized crate. (I did in fact light that manager's life up).

BUT, I found a card from seriously like SIX years ago that is the base Taxi service. THEY HAVE VANS YA'LL. And not like Soccer Mom vans. Like Cate + 8 vans. And they'll take my furbabes AND they estimate it to be about 200,000w ~ 170usd to get us there.

Fuck me. One less thing.

Tomorrow advanced baggage is picked up. I scoped out a damn market place for a shitty little TV to buy so I didn't have to buy a new one. My room is almost dismantled. But.. Idk where to put my wigs? do I pack them in my suitcase?? T_T Why do I never know these things?? Maybe I should stick them in a box and just send them ahead with my send-ahead books?

Anyway, I'm alive. Probably mostly sane still. Not ready to juggle three animals three suit cases and two back packs T_T

Cat mom in need of cat advice! So two outta the three furbabes have fleas. Not a lot of fleas, so not like an infestation, but still one too many. They've been given topical treatment, but I was wondering if there was anything else I could do. Besides a flea bath, since they're both not fans of being wet. Are there sprays or cat safe powders?

EMERGENCY ARREARS ASSISTANCE

there is now a FUNDRAISER for my arrears that you can donate to. everything is still pinned on my Twitter with the explanation and frustrations. here is the link to the fundraiser (again). i have it set to 3.1k to offset the additional fees encountered (less than GFM — i am using GiveAHand).

these arrears were due January 2nd. i need emergency assistance. any donation helps and gets me closer to my goal. i have set this up strictly because i am having surgery tomorrow morning (9AM) and have a 4 - 6 week recovery ahead of me if everything goes accordingly, and a 1 week deadsofa rest immediately following and i am gonna be on painkillers etc. i need as much help as possible keeping my roof over my head for not only myself, but my furbabs.

What mods do you have installed? It looks so pretty

Hey! I use the latest version of Optifine, and cycle through a bunch of different shaders depending on my mood. In my latest gifs, most were recorded while using kuda shaders v6.1 legacy (I love the depth of field effects and it has nice looking water.)  

My computer is beefy enough to get a steady frame rate with these kinds of shaders, but you can also customize the settings themselves to increase or decrease fidelity. I do edit my GIFs in photoshop as well: usually some combination of gradient maps, brightness & contrast adjustments, and smart filters like field blur. So they’re not an exact representation of the shaders haha.  Texture/resource wise, I use Mizuno 16 craft (jp), Mizuno’s CIT (jp), and Ghoulcraft. This makes it look nice and adds additional ‘decorative’ blocks that have a lot of potential for building interesting scenes.
