"In ten years I'll hopefully be a fourth year resident. Top of my class, obviously. I won't be living in Aurora Bay, I would have left by then. I don't know where I see myself. Maybe somewhere like Nashville, New Orleans or Chicago. No children. I'm happy playing the inappropriate aunt to Theo. I'll probably spend holidays with Lucky or Lemie, eat their snacks, blow through whatever town they're living in at the time like a hurricane but the good kind. "I'm not being petty," Lucky prefaces, a usual indicator that what was next was going to be something incredibly petty, but in this instance he feels justified in his irritation. The birth of their nephew should have been a cause for celebration, his safe arrival into the world a joy. It had been despite Lucky's feelings about Lee, until he had seen the name he and his wife to be had chosen.

"It's fucking rude to give your son my daughter's last name as a middle name. I mean, c'mon. Theo King, Titan King, it sounds like they were born to anime battle one another."

"Is Lee still in Canada or is he just not here because I am?" Lucky asked, his tone kept even as he looked between his sisters in the booth the three of them were sharing. With their oldest sibling, it could have went either way. While he made a conscious effort to try not to keep up with him and his acting career, he knew that Lee, Lemie and Lori had at least kept up with each other better than he had with any of them while he was in London.

He takes a straw from the dispenser on the tabletop, punching it free from its paper confines by tapping one end of it on the table's surface until the other end punctured through.

Though Lucky was paying homage to his four years in London with both his outfit choice and his energy that night, he could have easily been mistaken as trying to do an impression of an Australian kangaroo with how he jumped to every bass drop. He didn't want to tear himself away from the dance floor or the temporary friends he met on it -- one of which kept trying to snatch his bucket hat from him -- but he did when he spotted his sisters finally congregating.

It seemed Lori had managed to escape from being held in behind the bar captivity, and he practically bounced over to the pair of them, head still nodding to the beat.

"Can you believe this is the first time we've ever all been in a club together?" He asked loudly, aware that that was mostly his fault for the time he was gone. He didn't want to dwell on that that evening, he didn't want to do anything but feel like a twenty-two year old at a rave.

Everything else could wait until tomorrow.

There was something that couldn't though, and he wasted no time reaching into the pockets of his cargo shorts to produce two bucket hats to go with his own that he had carefully picked out for each of them.

"There." He says as he places Lemie's on her head, hoping it would be distracting enough for Lori to not actually look at the one he placed on her cranium seconds later. "We go!"

With a garish yellow hardhat on his head, Lucky fixed the overalls he had been given at his shoulders and then brought the zip in the front together to do it up, relying on it to be enough protection for his body from any shards or debris. Knowing his luck, he'd knick himself, get a small cut and then get sepsis and die.

( Dramatic? Yes. Just his luck? He'd argue also yes. )

"Did I tell you mom's dating a douche with a boat now? She told me about the boat for twenty minutes on FaceTime the other night before she even told me his name." Their mother's mid-life crisis seemed to be stretching on longer than he assumed these sorts of things were supposed to, and the lingering damage that her first affair had caused to their family was a motivating factor for how he ended up there of all places with his sister.

He picked up a baseball bat that was resting against the heavily grafitti'd wall to his left, swing it slowly through the air with the intention of not hitting anything just yet.

"Dad says he doesn't care but he's drinking gin again so. Do that math."
