you and Childe working together in the Fatui and being assigned a mission in Liyue one day. the thing is, the two of you are in a relationship, which none of the other Fatui know about, and now you have to pretend like you're just coworkers. both you and Childe know and accept this, albeit reluctantly, and stay away from each other unless there's reason not to for several days. Foul Legacy, however, doesn't like that. you've encountered Childe's Abyssal side several times, at first only after fights, but soon enough Childe would take his Foul Legacy form seemingly whenever he wanted, as long as you were the only other person around. Childe was quick to confess that in reality, he did it because of you. the Abyssal transformation put an enormous strain on Childe's body, yet for some reason whenever you were around the pain and crushing pressure of the star-stained darkness vanished. also, Foul Legacy likes you as much as your Harbinger lover does, always chittering and scooping you into his arms whenever you happen to see him. and he hates that Childe, and by extension he, has to act like you're just some other Fatuus. for the next several days every time Childe walks past you he has to restrain himself from pulling you in for a hug, Foul Legacy urging him to sweep you off your feet, letting out a hissing growl when Childe turns away. how dare he- how dare he ignore you, the person both he and Foul Legacy adore even beyond the prospect of conquering the world. Foul Legacy cares not for missions and assignments, just battle and blood and you, you, you. it takes only a few weeks for Childe to show up in your room after his work is done, except not in his human form- Foul Legacy blinks back at you from your bed, tilting his head with a chirp. when you sit beside him he scoops you into his arms, claws curling under your body as he bumps his forehead against yours and chitters happily, so glad to finally hold you again. you laugh in surprise, a smile breaking across your face as you bury your hands in Foul Legacy's fluff, "You know we have paperwork to do tonight..." Foul Legacy huffs, pouting, and simply presses you against his chest with a purr, where you can hear the steady thrum of his heart. you can already imagine Childe sighing at the sight of you and his Abyssal form cuddling together in the middle of a mission, and you yawn and lean closer, Foul Legacy cooing happily at the movement. he's not letting you go for a bit, not when he's been deprived of your presence for so long! if Childe won't snuggle with you, Foul Legacy will for as long as he wants- in secret, of course, because he loves you and doesn't want you getting in trouble with your superiors- but still, not gonna let you go for a while <3

Childe falling head over heels for you but being too hesitant to tell you- he's a Harbinger, after all! he doesn't want you getting hurt in any way because of his line of work, and he keeps his love for you secret, burning in his chest. so Foul Legacy tries to take initiative instead. Childe doesn't mean for you to meet Foul Legacy- it just happens one day, after he's done fighting a hoard of bandits who had been a particular thorn in his and the Fatui's side, that you happen to wander into the area on your daily walk and spot Childe in his Foul Legacy form. you stare at Childe. Childe stares at you. and suddenly, Foul Legacy begins to purr at the mere sight of you, crouching to meet your height and your gaze, ocean blue eye sparkling in delight. it's you, the person Childe keeps thinking about so often, the person he refuses to confess to under a veil of half-baked excuses. Foul Legacy sweeps you into his arms, rumbling happily at the squeak of surprise that slips from your mouth. you're so amazing, so wonderful, so perfect- he can tell just by looking at you, and Foul Legacy affectionately cups your cheek with his claws, gently tracing down your face. with the care of a gentle lover, he presses his mouth to your forehead as some sort of kiss. your eyes trail past the strange, glittering beast holding you so gently and land on the defeated bandits, widening in surprise. quickly you glance back up at Foul Legacy, who looks down at you with all his attention. "did you do this?" Childe almost hesitates, but takes notice at the expression of awe on your face, and nods. your eyes widen further as you mumble, "amazing..." and Foul Legacy feels his star-speckled heart beat faster as he chirps- a sound he wasn't even aware he could make- and gives your cheek a quick lick. your laughter rings out amongst the trees, and Childe almost coos from how much he loves the sound. perhaps confessing to you isn't such a bad idea after all.
