I would like to introduce the final (for now!) collection of my silk scarves - In The Dark! It is inspired by the night - real and metaphorical, ocean depths, night time forest and all the shades of the dark. The night holds so many beautiful things. It can be the time of quiet, rest, contemplation and mystery, happy solitude or shared sacred time. It can also be the time of adventures, travel, lit city walks or star naming. Luminescent marine fauna, nocturnal birds, insects and animals, flowers that only bloom and/or smell at night - with a touch of divination and magic - were my inspiration for this collection. 1970s Vera Neumann Asian Lilies silk scarf made in Shanghai, the center of the silk industry, in The People's Republic Of China.
Vera's sumi-e brush technique renders her Asian lilies in blue and brown with an aqua shadow.
All of Vera's China-produced scarves bear her 'chop' which translates to truth and honesty along with her iconic Vera logo.
Through this Chinese collaboration, Vera was fortunate enough to do 2 collections of 8 scarves each.
SIZE: 27 x 26-1/4 inches
CONDITION: This scarf has been hand washed and is in excellent condition.
100% Chinese silk
Hand rolled hem

CONDITION: Excellent condition with no issues to note.
~DON'T BE AFRAID to handwash your silk scarf.
~Use cold water and mild soap.
~Swish gently and don't wring or twist.
~Rinse thoroughly and blot on white towel.
~Iron dry on medium heat (no steam) while the scarf is still damp.
~Enjoy.
