New Years Eve at the Pizzaplex

Gregory and Chica spend some time outside, where Chica experiences snow for the first time. Soon, the fireworks begin, and the year is over…

This fanfic was suggested by @nico-ticklegoddess12. I hope you enjoy! And Happy New Year!!!

It was New Year’s Eve…and it was already dark by 5:00pm. That’s what usually happens during the winter. The days are shorter, the nights are longer, and the sun isn’t out nearly as much. And depending on where you live, there’s lots of snow. It’s nice to see the snow sometimes. But Gregory has only seen the snow a few years in his life. It’s pretty and it’s really fun to play in. But he could remember his Dad not liking it. He complained about the cold, and the shoveling. Gregory didn’t quite understand what’s wrong with the shoveling. Shoveling is fun! At least, he thought it was.

Speaking of snow, Gregory was looking out the window at the falling snow with a big smile on his face. Chica walked up behind Gregory and placed a hand onto his shoulder. “It’s beautiful.” She said.

“I know! And it’s really fun!” Gregory told her. “Have you been in the snow before?” He asked Chica.

“No, I haven’t. The only thing I’ve heard is that snow is cold water…and water isn’t good for my animatronic parts.” Chica told him.

Gregory nodded. “There are three types of cold water. There’s fluffy water, or snow…there’s smooth water, or ice, and there’s a mix of both called frozen rain.” Gregory told him.

“Hm…so it’s all water?” She asked.

“Yup. And it melts if you bring it inside.” Gregory told him.

Chica smiled and looked at Gregory. “It looks like fun, honestly. I wish I could play in the snow without risking ruining my joints.” Chica admitted.

Gregory chuckled and grabbed some waterproof mittens. “That’s why we have mitts, Chica!” Gregory declared. “Here:” Gregory took Chica’s right hand and started to put the right glove onto Chica’s hand. “Put the thumb into this hole, and put your other 3 fingers in here. There you go!” Gregory reacted as he felt Chica’s thumb slide into the thumb spot of the glove. The rest of her fingers slid into the big boxing glove-like mitten in the middle. Then, Gregory put the other mitt onto Chica’s left hand.

Chica looked at the gloves and flipped her hand over to see both sides of her covered hands. “Strange…i don’t feel anything, but…my body is detecting heat coming from my hands.” Chica told him, referring to the vision screen on her eyes.

“Mittens are supposed to warm up the hands, as well as keep them dry.” Gregory told her.

“Unusual…” She muttered.

“I have mitts too.” Gregory put his own mitts on, and gently brought Chica out the doors to the front entrance of the Pizzaplex. He let Chica stand on the dry pavement, and grabbed a nearby shovel. He started shoveling snow and placing it beside Chica, so she had some snow to look at and manipulate too.

“Pick it up!” Gregory told her.

Chica looked down at the snow…and looked at her mitt-covered hands. She slowly knelt down, scooped up a bit of snow, and stood back up with the snow in her gloves. She stared at it with wide, innocent eyes.

It was…fluffy. It was bright…it looked…soft.

Chica took some snow in her thumb and index finger, and pinched it. It crunched a little bit in her covered fingers. She moved her index finger off the thumb, and looked at the flattened snow on her covered thumb.

“Here:” Gregory walked up to Chica and placed a ball of snow into her hand. “Throw it at me!” Gregory told her as he ran a few feet in front of her. “Throw the snowball like a bouncy ball!” Gregory told her.

Chica looked at Gregory, and looked at the snowball. She lifted it back behind her head, and threw it at Gregory. But she aimed for the ground. So naturally, the ball flattened against the pavement and fell apart. Chica looked at Gregory with a confused, and sad face.

Gregory’s smile had dropped as he looked at Chica. “Why did you throw it at the ground?” Gregory asked.

Chica looked at the broken snowball. “You…told me to throw it like a bouncy ball.” Chica told him.

“I also told you to throw it at me, not at the ground.” Gregory added.

“...Snow doesn’t bounce?” Chica asked.

Gregory stared at Chica and slowly brought his right wrist up to his mouth. “Freddy…Come outside.” Gregory told him.

Freddy’s voice came out of the Fazwatch. “What do you need, Gregory? Is something wrong?” Freddy asked.

“Um…” Gregory grew a dumbfounded smile. “Chica thought that snowballs bounce…” Gregory told him.

Freddy raised an eyebrow. “...They don’t?” Freddy asked.

Gregory doubled over and bursted out cackling. Did all the animatronics really think that snow bounces?! REALLY?!

“What do you mean ‘Snow doesn’t bounce’?!” Someone said behind Chica.

Chica turned around and looked at the person with a smile. “Hi Roxanne.” Chica said.

Hearing this was enough to make Gregory laugh even harder! Gregory was laughing so hard, that he was quickly losing control of his legs! It didn’t take long before the boy had flopped into the pile of snow beside him.

“GREGORY!” Chica yelled, sprinting up to Gregory and picking him up without any regard for her robotic parts. “Are you okay?!”

Gregory was still a giggling mess, even when he was in her arms. Picking him up clearly didn’t effect his giddiness at all. “Ihihi’m fihihine. Buhuhut- YOHOU THOUGHT SNOW BOUNCES?!” Gregory asked, before bursting out into even more higher-pitched, squeaky laughter.

Chica sighed and smiled a bit. She looked at Gregory’s laughing face, and smirked a little bit. “Think it’s okay to laugh at me for not understanding snow?” Chica asked.

“Yeheheheah! Ihihit’s hihilarious!” Gregory reacted.

Chica started skittering her fingers on Gregory’s ribs. “Tell me how hilarious it is now.” She told him.

Gregory squealed loudly and started wiggling around like a wild animal once tickles were mixed in. He had quickly turned into a complete wiggle worm. “BAHAHAHAhahahaahahaaa! WAHAHAHAIT-” Gregory snorted and covered his face in a desperate attempt to hide his growing blush.

Chica smirked and lifted Gregory’s belly up to her mouth. Then, she started pecking his belly like she was an actual chicken.

Peck-peck, peck, peck.

“EEEEEHEhehehehehehe! Whyhyhyhy ahahare you peckihihing mehehehehe?!” Gregory asked.

Chica smirked as she kept pecking. “Mmmm~ Yummy belly~” Chica teased.

“FREHEHEHEDDY HEHEHELP MEHEHE!” Gregory yelled into his Fazwatch.

“I am coming, Gregory!” Freddy said into the Fazwatch.

Chica laughed and continued pecking his belly.

Peck, peck, peckpeck, peck. “Now tell me: How ticklish is your belly button?” Chica asked as she started pecking at his little belly button hole.

Gregory snorted about 3 times back-to-back, and threw his head back with more wheezy laughter. “TOOOOHOHOHO TIHIHICKLIHISH! YOHOHOU’RE KILLING MEEEE!” Gregory shouted.

Chica rolled her eyes. “All I’m doing is giving you kisses! Is that really too much for you to handle?” Chica asked.

Gregory continued to wiggle around, and was unintentionally arching his back, causing his belly button to come closer to Chica’s pecking beak. And the worst part? Chica had noticed this. “Looks like someone seems to like my little kisses!” Chica reacted, before making smooch sounds while pecking his belly button. “Are you aching for more of Chica’s special kisses?” Chica asked next.

“*snort* PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE! *snort* IHIHIHI- *snort, snort* IHIHI CAHAHAHAHAN’T-” Gregory told her. All the while, Gregory is mentally wondering: Where the heck is Freddy?!

“Can’t what, my sweet little affectionate chick?” Chica asked. “Is someone enjoying the- eEEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEEEE!” Chica bursted out laughing, letting go of Gregory so she could grab her vulnerable hips.

Gregory sat himself up right away, and looked at who was now tickling Chica: It was Freddy! Freddy had sprinted out of the pizzaplex doors and up to Chica to save him! Finally! “Yohou finally saved me! Thanks Freddy!” Gregory reacted.

Freddy chuckled and booped Chica’s belly button region. “Little known fact: Chica’s belly button is ticklish too.” Freddy told him. “It’s just that she doesn’t really have a belly button. So you kinda have to search for it.” Freddy added.

“Ooooh. That makes…at least some sense!” Gregory reacted.

Freddy laughed. “Now, laugh it up, Chica! Laugh it up like the world is about to end!” Freddy declared.

“Or like the year is about to end!” Gregory added, pointing to the time on his Fazwatch.

[11:48pm]

[Dec. 31, 2052]

“Ooooh! That’s true!” Freddy reacted. “Laugh it up for the next 1 minutes, Chica.” Freddy told her. “And Gregory! Get Roxanne and Montgomery out here for the fireworks!” Freddy added.

“On it!” Gregory sprinted back to the automatic doors and entered the Pizzaplex again. Once Gregory was up the stopped escalators, Gregory had basically disappeared from their field of view.

Freddy went back to resuming his tickle attack on Chica. He had resumed tickling her belly button, while also grabbing at her right side with his left hand to both tickle her and stabilize her. “Kitchy kitchy koo, Chicky choo~” Freddy teased.

Chica giggled and laughed, wiggling around and struggling in his surprisingly strong grip. “Freheheheddyyy! Hahahaha! Ihihihi-” Chica laughed. “Leheheheave myhy behehelly buhuhuttohohon alohohohohone!” Chica ordered, doubling over more to get Freddy’s finger off her belly button.

“No way! Telling me to leave your belly button alone, is like telling me to never talk to Gregory again! I can’t possibly do that without experiencing immense amounts of sadness.” Freddy told her.

“Seriouslyhyhyhyhy?!” Chica asked, turning her head to look at Freddy.

Freddy nodded proudly. “Yes. Seriously.” Freddy replied casually…too casually.

“Freddy! Stop tickling Chica, and get over here!” someone said behind him.

Freddy let go of Chica and turned around to look at the person. “What is it, Gregory?” Freddy asked, confused. Letting go of Chica immediately caused her to fall onto the ground in simulated exhaustion. Unlike Gregory, Chica thankfully missed all the snow piles around her.

“The fireworks from the Performing Arts Center is going to be starting soon! Sit down!” Gregory told Freddy and the other animatronics. “And pick up Chica, for heaven’s sake!” Gregory added.

“Got it.” Freddy walked up to Chica, picked her up and threw her over his shoulder like Shrek did with Fiona in the movie Shrek. “Come with me, Chica. And we shall walks workfires.” Freddy said.

“Fireworks, Freddy. They’re bright, loud, and really pretty.” Gregory told them.

“Pretty?” Roxy asked.

“Loud?! Like, as loud as metal clashing together?!” Monty asked, growing excited.

“Yeah! Probably even louder!” Gregory replied.

“WHOA! WHERE CAN I-”

BOOOOM.

[11:59pm]

[Dec. 31, 2052]

BOOOM-BOOOOOOM.

Gregory looked up and slowly gasped. “SITDOWN-SITDOWNANDLOOK!” Gregory sat himself down and pointed to the fireworks.

Freddy sat himself down beside Gregory and looked up at the fireworks. And-

BOOM! BOOOM, BOOOOOM. BOOOOOM.

Oh…my…gosh…

It was incredible. It was mind-emptying…

Freddy watched the fireworks with an innocent look of wonder and astonishment. He couldn’t believe how such scary sounds…were creating such beautiful colors in the sky. It’s incredible! How…How did such pretty colors blast and shine so bright? Where did those lights come from?! WHO WAS CONTROLLING THESE LIGHTS?!

Roxy noticed the fireworks when the lights of the fireworks had started to reflect off her left hand. She quickly turned around, her hair flowing behind her as she looked up and dropped her jaw. What is THAT?! Are those…the fireworks Gregory was pointing at?! WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?! Roxy had so many thoughts going through her head. Why is this happening?!

Monty turned around and looked up at the bright lights and the booming sound coming from the sky. He widened his eyes and slowly sat himself down on the pavement. He stared at the millions of different colors he could see from every firework. Sky Blue, bright red, lime green, lemon yellow, lavender purple, sunset orange, and even snowy white. So many colors…so little time to think!

Chica had covered her ears, surprised by the echoing explosion sounds in her audio processors. But despite the loud sounds, she was in awe of the beautiful colors and shapes, mostly circles, that were filling the sky one by one.

How…

How is this happening?!

This was unlike anything their eyes had ever seen before! None of them could properly process how beautiful the fireworks were, and how somewhat scary the fireworks’ sounds were. It invoked so many different emotions all at once. None of them could process it. All they could do was watch…

“Happy New Year, everyone.” Gregory said to the animatronics, looking at them from left to right. But no one else made even a peep…let alone a word in response to Gregory’s wish.

At first, he was confused by the animatronics’ lack of replies. But Gregory quickly realized what was going on: The animatronics were all too busy observing the beauty of these fireworks with a complete loss for words…to be able to reply to anything he had said. He began to remember his own first time seeing such beautiful fireworks. He couldn’t put the thoughts to words either, at the time.

And as the fireworks soon wrapped up, Gregory looked at his Fazwatch to see the time and the date:

To all the animatronics, Happy Fourth of July!!

[These are canon-non-canon answers since I don't want to date series and also don't want to deprive you of Sun and Moon lol. So they would definitely say this stuff, but it has no bearing on the questionnaire or lore that is going on right now]

Freddy: Happy Fourth of July Superstar! I hope you are have a wonderful and safe holiday! If you stay until the night, the Pizzapleex will have a firework show! Enjoy the holiday!

Chica: Happy Fourth! Did you try some of our holiday specials? They are so good! Especially the ribs! The meat is just falling off the bone! And if you don't eat meat, don't worry! We have vegan options too!

There's this amazing vegan burger that is just absolutely delicious! Oh! Don't forget the icecream too! It's so hot, make sure you keep cool and hydrated!

Monty: Happy holiday, little guy! Make sure to come over to Kid's Cove for a water fight! We have tons of water balloons and hoses that you can use to keep cool in the hot summer heat! now if only we could find some of those stupid splashers, more kids might actually join in...

Roxy: Wooh! Happy July 4th! You want some sparklers or pop-its? We got a bunch of safe little fireworks you can play with while waiting for the big firework show tonight! Here's a few on the house! Just don't put them in people's faces or throw them at others!

DJMM: Hello there! And happy Independence Day! Today we have a sale on tokens and have created a small light show with the neon lights that happens every hour on the hour! So don't worry if you missed it! I am also debuting a whole album of new songs for the day! So please enjoy the holiday and music! Have fun!

Sun: Hello there! And happy Fireworks Day! I hope the constant pops and flashes of sparklers and pop-its aren't too much! If you need a space to relax or not hear sudden loud noises, then come to the Daycare area! Today it is a space where none of those things are allowed, so people who can't handle that stuff can come and relax while the rest of their family enjoys the parts of the Pizzaplex that are celebrating traditionally!

Moon: "We have plenty of food and even a few movies in the theatre that are free for everyone to watch! Before going in though, check the sheet outside the theatre or talk to one of the staff about potentially triggering things some of the movies might show!"

Sun: Yup! We know that today is hard for some people, and so Moon and I created a safe place for people to still enjoy today's holiday! If you need anything, or any accommodations, feel free to ask us or the staff for some help! And remember to be mindful of others on this day! Not everyone celebrates the same holidays or the same way!
