Eirika’s twin, a warrior at heart grappling with his lot as Prince while trying to fight off Grado’s invading forces.

Boons: Lance, Axe, Riding, Armor

Banes: Sword, Reason

Hidden Talent: Authority (Model Leader)

Combat Arts: Hit and Run (C+), Swift Strikes (A), Monster Breaker (C+), Armored Strike (A)

Spells: Fire (D), Bolganone (B) Ragnarok (A), HealNos, Recover (C), Aura (A)

Authority: Battalion Wrath (C), Battalion Desperation (A)

Ephraim’s susrprisingly interesting to try to figure. His FEH alt where he wields Garm goes towards an armor talent, as does his appearance as a great knight in Awakening. Gives him a little extra over the obvious lance and riding the main game implies, which I like. For talents hit and run for his guerilla tactics after Grado invades, Monster Breaker to kill monsters, armored strike since his appearances with axes are linked to his appearance as armored classes and swift strikes because Glowing Ember, while thematic, would be redundant. Also Swift Strikes kicks ass. Spells are fire for his association with the element via Sigmund and more blunt force Faith spells. Flashbacks to his youth with Lyon and Eirika imply he’s not especially studious hence the reason weakness. The sword weakness comes from him being one of the only FE lords not to use swords. The hidden Authority talent I sort of had fun with, because a lot of his story is about him coming to accept his role as a leader. Yes at the beginning he’s comfortable leading troops, so no weakness turned strength, but he’s uninterested in his Royal status and would rather leave it to be a traveling mercenary. When you retake the capital his realization that the people aren’t so much happy that he’s returned as they are that Orson’s gone he begins to take his role as king more seriously to earn the peoples respect. Feels like a good pick for a hidden talent to me.
