"we are, of course, always very glad to welcome a representative of sharlayan to doma," chiyo says with a polite smile, hands folded delicately in her lap, knelt on a cushion around the kotatsu. a maid brings them both tea, and a plate with cubes of sugar as well as cuts of mint and ginger is put in the middle. lady chiyo, for her part, takes a cube and a sprig of mint for her own, and gestures for the gleaner to help herself. "i hope your trip was comfortable. i find ginger helps settle the stomach, afterwards."

though welcoming such a representative is perhaps a task best left to someone of lower rank, chiyo finds herself intrigued by the idea of a musically inclined gleaner, and thus she's made time in her schedule for a sit-down in the kienkan. "have you had much success with your task so far?" she keeps the question vague, letting siobhan answer with any story she sees fit to tell. meanwhile, chiyo stirs her tea with a tiny spoon that has a moogle design on it--more specifically, a moogle sticking its behind out. she's very serious about it.
