No because, as soon as Alexia was subbed on, her presence was undeniable. Not because she’s two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas and she got on the ball and made things happen, but because she stepped on the pitch and communicated with her team and you could see them reacting to her — to having someone out there they respect as their captain. Her impact was immediate and I believe that was vital for Spain.

They immediately picked up their sloppy shit and turned it into successful passes and good plays. You need that, and you need someone who knows how to guide and motivate your team (not you Vilda, you can choke).
