I've been thinking about Sephiroth's having a tendency in Ever Crisis First Soldier to put his hand on his chest and that it seems to have made it into Rebirth as something he does.

The revelation that he used to wear a locket with his mothers picture there really does change the gesture meaning. I think he's reaching for for that. The idea he's still reaching for her roughly a decade after losing the locket really breaks my heart.

Will you be spoiler free during Rebirth or can I enjoy your reactions and commentary as you make your way through the game?

I wanted to avoid spoilers but I kinda want to know how it ends. I’m kind of torn because if the ending is stupid, it’ll make me not want to play at all and it’ll feel like a slog or a duty rather than something I enjoy.

But then if I avoid it, enjoy the game with my hopes up and get them crushed at the end that’ll feel bad too. I don’t know what’s going to be worse.

I'm not gonna be on twitter while I'm playing because I don't want losers ruining my fun with their saltiness, but I'll be posting SS and spoilers on my Tumblr, but the good thing about Tumblr is you can hide content in your post so if people don't wanna see spoilers they don't have to. Watching Cloud with Zack's mannerisms is like watching a ghost in the machine, it's deeply unsettling and I love that they did this.

If there was any doubt Sephiroth knows who his father is, it's gone now. The way he just laughs when he says his father and the utter BITTERNESS in the way he says 'why am I talking about this', he 100% knows. The anger is right there bubbling and brewing. God, this was done so well.
