Look.... I'll be the first one to say that fans shouldn't be getting their hopes up TOO high about a film and it's award status before a trailer has even dropped yet, but in this case, this wasn't a fan who wrote this article. These are critics, journalists, and ppl in the ET industry writing these articles.

Certain movies (especially if they're directed by certain directors) will ALWAYS get some kind of buzz regarding award nomination predictions regardless.

I don't see anything wrong with fans being happy that it's in the "conversation" already. It may not actually get nominated for ANY awards at all, but who cares? 🤷🏾‍♀️

Most actors aren't acting in order to get award nominations. MOST actors act because acting is their passion.... plain and simple. 🤷🏾‍♀️

While we don't want to get our hopes overly hyped with high expectations, at the same time, I also think that bashing a film before a trailer has even come out yet is kind of silly too. 👀

There are PLENTY of films out here that actually did surprisingly well with audiences and even the box office when most ppl thought the movie would FLOP and fail. So, sometimes you just never know! Jmho!!

BTW, Lucas' last film (BAA) may not have gone over too well with some viewers because it was a love story hmm gee... with CANNIBALISM? 🥴 I feel like ppl keep missing this very important point when discussing this film lol and the fact that it didn't do as well as some had hoped. 🤷🏾‍♀️
