Women's Wedding Dresses and Jewelry Accessories – Fara Couture
AUSTRALIAN BRIDAL FASHION WEEK SYDNEY 2016
Hi All,
Finally I am able to write about my experience in the fashion bridal week in Sydney August 2016 presenting wedding dresses Sydney.
I received a telephone call from Sydney and inviting me to the Australian fashion bridal week which is just about wedding gowns and specially Australian designer and top international designers which made me more excited however the time lag was very short (2 months) for me to design and make 10 new wedding dresses Sydney fashion week show, any way I decided to do it and time was ticking from the first moment I decided 😱
After hours of research and sketching the new look and direction of my new wedding dress collections, I had to source out the fabrics which was a very difficult to get the fabrics on the right time to create the new designs. It takes normally 3 months to get the French laces and specially beaded fabrics when I order the fabrics. So I had to find the fabrics which were available in the market and redesign my sketches to suite the fabrics and the real job started 😢
Any way after late night hard work full of stress we made it happen! All bridal gowns finished the way I loved it! This two months were the toughest moment of my life where I was busy in designing ,preparations and creating the gown and on the other side both of my parents were sick in hospitals. However I made it happen)). I booked the flights and everything was packed and ready!
However due to the delay in flight to Sydney, we arrived late in Sydney for model fitting. And most of the models were new to me and normally dresses have to be fitted a before the show.
I was told that the models are size 6-8 however my gowns were size 10! Any way I was prepared to tuck the gowns to fit the models but had not much time to see the models to adjust the gowns. Most challenging part was I didn’t have any sewing machine or equipment’s when you go to other city to present your brand.
Next day, we started early morning straight from fitting the models, choosing the right designs for the right models. And all adjustments were done in couple of hours for 20 wedding gowns. I have to say that I was very proud of myself and my team on managing everything in a very short span of time. It was a very exciting moment for me when the wedding gowns were on catwalk. Just to see the hard work always pays it off.
I realized my wedding dress designs are very high standard and comparable to the international designers.

“LITTLE WOMEN” (1933) Review
Tumblr media
"LITTLE WOMEN" (1933) Review There have been many adaptations of Louisa May Alcott's 1868-69 best-selling two-volume novel, "Little Women". And I mean many adaptations - on stage and in movies and television. I have personally seen three television adaptations and four movie adaptations. One of the most famous versions of Alcott's novel is the 1933 movie adaptation, produced by Merian C. Cooper and directed by George Cukor.
Although I have seen at four adaptations more than once, I had just watched this version for the very first time. Judging from the reviews and articles I have read, Cukor's "LITTLE WOMEN" seemed to be the benchmark that all other versions are based upon. So, you could imagine my anticipation about this film before watching it. How did I feel about "LITTLE WOMEN"? That would require a complicated answer. "LITTLE WOMEN" told the story of the four March sisters of Concord, Massachusetts - Margaret (Meg), Josephine (Jo), Elizabeth (Beth) and Amy - during and after the U.S. Civil War. Since second daughter Jo is the main character, the story focuses on her relationships with her three other sisters, her parents (especially her mother "Marmee"), the sisters' Aunt March, and the family's next-door neighbors, Mr. James Laurence and his grandson Theodore ("Laurie"). Although each sister experiences some kind of coming-of-age throughout the story, the movie focuses on Jo's development through her relationship with Laurie and a German immigrant she meets in New York City after the war, the charming and older Professor Friedrich Bhaer. Jo and her sisters deal with the anxiety of their father's involvement in the Civil War, genteel poverty, scarlet fever, wanted and unwanted romance, and Jo's fear of dealing the family breaking apart as she and her sisters grow older. I must saw that the production values for "LITTLE WOMEN" were certainly top-notch. One has to credit producer Merian C. Cooper in gathering a team of excellent artists to re-create 1860s Massachusetts and New York for the movie. I was especially impressed by Van Nest Polglase's art direction, Sydney Moore and Ray Moyer's set decorations and art direction team of Hobe Erwin, George Peckham, and Charles Sayers. However, I simply have to single out Walter Plunkett's excellent costume designs for the film. I doubt very much that Plunkett's costumes were an accurate depiction of 1860s fashion, I believe he came close enough. Plunkett's career also included work for 1939's "GONE WITH THE WIND", "RAINTREE COUNTY", from 1957 and the 1949 version of "Little Women". I suspect that this film marked his debut for designing costumes for the mid-19th century. I did have a problem with the hairstyles worn by three of the four leads. A good deal of early 1930s hairstyles seemed to have been used - with the exception of the short bob. At least three of the actresses wore bangs . . . a lot. Bangs were not popular with 19th century women until the late 1870s and the 1880s. Until the release of the 2019 film, George Cukor's adaptation of Alcott's novel has been considered the best by many film critics. Do I agree with this assessment? Well, I cannot deny that I had enjoyed watching "LITTLE WOMEN". One, producer David Selznick and director George Cukor did an excellent job in their selection of the cast - especially the four actresses who portrayed the March sisters. All four had excellent chemistry. The movie's portrayal of the U.S. Civil War and the years that followed it immediately struck me as pretty solid. And although there were moments when the film threatened to border on saccharine, I must admit that Cukor and the screenplay written by Victor Heerman and Sarah Y. Mason kept both the narrative and the film's pacing very lively. And finally, I enjoyed how the movie depicted Jo's friendship and romance with Professor Friedrich Bhaer. I found it warm, charming, romantic and more importantly . . . not rushed. However, I do have a few issues with "LITTLE WOMEN". There were times when the movie, especially during its first half hour, seemed in danger of wallowing in saccharine. I get it. Alcott had portrayed the Marches as a warm and close-knit family. But Alcott had included minor conflicts and personality flaws in the family's portrait as well. It seemed as if director George Cukor, along with screenwriters Sarah Y. Mason and Victor Heerman were determined to whitewash this aspect of Alcott's novel as much as possible. This whitewashing led to the erasure of one novel's best sequences - namely Amy March's burning of Jo's manuscript in retaliation for an imagined slight, Amy's conflict with her schoolteacher, the development of Amy and Laurie's relationship in Europe, and Meg's conflict Aunt March over her relationship with tutor John Brooke. These deletions took a lot out of Alcott's story. It amazes me to this day that so many film critics have willingly overlooked this. Do not get me wrong. "LITTLE WOMEN" remained an entertaining film. But in erasing these aspects of Alcott's story, Cukor and the two screenwriters came dangerously close to sucking some of the life out of this film. Ironically, Mason and Heerman repeated their mistake in MGM's 1949 adaption with the same results. Most critics and movie fans tend to praise Katherine Hepburn's portrayal of Jo March to the sky. In fact, many critics and film historians to this day have claimed Hepburn proved to be the best Jo out of all the actresses who have portrayed the character. Do I agree? No. Although I admired Hepburn's performance in the movie's second half, I found her portrayal of the adolescent Jo in the first half to be a mixed bag. There were times when I admired her spirited performance. There were other times when said performance came off as a bit too strident for my tastes. I honestly do not know what to say about Frances Dee's performance as Meg March. My problem is that I did not find her portrayal that memorable. I barely remember Dee's performance, if I must be honest. I cannot say the same about Joan Benett's portrayal of the youngest March sibling, Amy. Mind you, Bennett never received the chance to touch upon Amy's less pleasant side of her nature. And it is a pity that the screenplay failed to give Bennett the opportunity to portray Amy's growing maturity in the film's second half. But I have to admit that as a woman who was roughly three years younger than Hepburn, she gave a more subtle performance as a pre-teen and adolescent Amy, than Hepburn did as the teenaged Jo. The one performance that really impressed me came from Jean Parker's portrayal of Beth March, the family's shyest member. I thought Parker did an excellent job of conveying Beth's warmth, fear of being in public and the long, slow death the character had suffered following a deadly bout of scarlet fever. I can honestly say that Mrs. "Marmee" March would never be considered as one of my favorite Spring Byington roles. Mind you, the actress gave a competent performance as the March family's matriarch. However, there were times when she seemed too noble, good or too ideal for me to regard her as a human being. As is the case in most, if not all versions of "LITTLE WOMEN", the Mr. March character barely seemed alive . . . especially after he returned home from the war. I cannot blame actor Samuel S. Hinds, who portrayed. I blame the screenwriters for their failure to do the character any justice. On the other hand, I did enjoy Henry Stephenson's portrayal of the complicated, yet likeable Mr. Laurence. I enjoyed how Stephenson managed to slowly, but surely reveal the warm human being behind the aloof facade. Edna May Oliver gave a very lively performance as the irascible, yet wealthy Aunt March. In fact, I would go as far to say that her performance had breathed a great deal of fresh air into the production. Not many critics were impressed by Douglass Montgomery's portrayal of the March sisters' closes friend, Theodore "Laurie" Laurence. I can honestly say that I do not share their opinion. Frankly, I felt more than impressed by his portrayal of the cheeky, yet emotional Laurie. I thought he gave one of the film's better performances - especially in one scene Laurie reacted to Jo's rejection of his marriage proposal. I thought Montgomery did an excellent job of reacting emotionally to Jo's rejection, without going over the top. I also enjoyed Paul Lukas' interpretation of Professor Bhaer. There were moments when his performance threatened to get a little hammy. But the actor managed to reign in his excesses - probably more so than Hepburn. And he gave a warm and charming performance as the romantic Professor Bhaer. Yes, I have some issues with this adaptation of "LITTLE WOMEN". If I must be honest, most of my issues are similar to my issues with the 1949 adaptation. This should not be surprising, since both movies were written by the same screenwriters - Sarah Y. Mason and Victor Heerman. However . . . like the 1949 movie, this "LITTLE WOMEN" adaptation proved to be a solid and entertaining adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel. One can thank Mason and Heerman, director George Cukor and the fine cast led by the talented Katherine Hepburn.

2.06 - Salvation
This time around, things are starting off pretty good on both the filler front and the not so low-key drama front - Syd talking to Vaughn on the rooftop with both of them being so casually adorable in her moment of crisis, Will being a total sweetheart by rejecting Syd's proposal to lend him money just as she assumed she would. Vaughn mentioned the alterations in standardised tests that (might have been/) were used in the USA via KGB, what I can only imagine, non-agreement non-courtesy. Sark is keeping himself busy and we get a glimpse of what Muller device and being exposed to the water does to people due to the man he was sent to steal "the Bible'' from, now getting all twisted-out ebola way in SD-6's custody and the mission aimed at whatever regarding three patients that are relevant to Sark involves Jack and Sydney working together as a father and a daughter, of course, being sent to do the job by the all things concerning Rambaldi-obsessed Sloane. Jack explained why he trained Syd the Project Christmas way and Irina pleaded guilty. Sydney believes Jack lost his soul after his relationship/marriage fell apart and that he cannot stand the sight of Sydney, thinking of her as a mistake and that if he and Irina hadn't been involved, she'd never have been born. Jack's facial expressions completely bare, stripped and vulnerable no matter how static and silent he looks proves he's struck by sadness and pain due to what he now thinks Syd believes.
As Sydney and Jack are together on a mission getting a blood sample from one of the infected patients who mistakes Syd for her mother, Irina Derevko, Vaughn helps out Will by offering him a job (off the books) to investigate if any of the KGB pre-orchestrated, possibly later CIA-employed (as well) questions specifically designed to find ideal children to be used as sleeper agents were ever found in standardised tests. Research for Will, intel for Vaughn - and we already know it will turn out to be handy. Also, good to have Will around when he is useful and working on his own cases, so...
This is all happening two weeks after season one finale, so that's the amount of time that's passed since the current forks in the road are about to pop out. Sydney and Vughn need to be tested due to the possibility that they themselves, being exposed to the device and the water back in Taipei, might have caught the very infection that a few men who've appeared so far are suffering from. Syd's being covered by Jack concerning all the SD-6 matters.
Sydney is informed that her tests are negative and Vaughn's are inconclusive but he eventually gets out. Sydney views Jack's hearing regarding his very dangerous scheme to frame Irina and in a heartfelt moment, comes to realise how much he truly loves her and even mentioned how privileged he feels to know such a great agent like herself. Unfortunately, Vaughn's update relating the aftermath of the hearing completely breaks Sydney since Jack's facing prison charges, a result of his rogue behaviour and endangering the lives of multiple CIA field agents. On top of that, Irina is still gonna face the death penalty, apparently. Sydney goes to Washington D. C. and abducts the Senator in charge of the case by pretending to be his driver. She tries to force him to change his verdict regarding her parents, but he's unwilling to do so and we're left with Syd's resentful look in her eyes as he asks her to drop him off home instead.
Sloane is doing his play pretend in a very great fashion this episode in order to appear to be more than psychologically haunted by Emily's death, wondering if she's still alive. As Jack told him earlier in the episode there is only one way to find out whether she's alive or not. In case she's alive and anticipated his move would be eliminating her for knowing about SD-6 (and as part of his agreement to earn himself a seat among the rest of the major Alliance players). So now we're there, at the gravesite, the rain, the murky atmosphere, the digging, the empty coffin that seems too small to me for some reason. And of course, it's empty. The cinematography is great, even with the unnecessary thunder effect. Ron Rifkin, again, without saying anything, completely owns the scene.
Obviously, Sydney saved her parents by lying to the senator, hinting at the intel that is non-existent in reality... I mean, seriously, the amount of rubbish they tend to get away with only makes room for more rubbish to become a completely usable cheap trick as the show progresses. Silliness, on the other hand, can't be downplayed nor overlooked, since it was here since day one. Sydney's still at the university, still a student, by the way... so many freaking' dunno-what-to-say-or-what-to-make-of-its just thrown all over the place. Almost every freaking episode. Anyway, there is no senator in the alliance, there is no actual deal on behalf of Sydney, made-up kiddy lies which were used to set her both parents free. The thing is, why put such great dramatic weight all of the sudden through the course of an episode? (I don't even know what happened in most of the episodes of the series, just by their titles and I’ve been a fan for more than twenty years!). Also, there’s no respect for the audience with disregard to pace and scenes interchanging hectically either to a frustrating degree or to an underwhelming effect... I feel like I'm regurgitating, complaining and praising, covering the same minuses  and pluses  repeatedly. (Oh, and it's no wonder that the most fan-loved/highest rated/acclaimed episodes are the ones THAT ARE THE MOST FOCUSED AND 90% FILLER-FREE!)
Syd went to see where her mother is since she's back in the CIA custody, held at her old Lector-like cell and the whole “Mueller device that spreads the virus/contagious water thing" shows its first symptom on Vaughn while he's shaving at home - haemorrhaging from the fingernails. Goodbye... I’ll see myself very soon.

Jenny Kee & Linda Jackson: Step Into Paradise (2019)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[3] Step Into Paradise (2019) [Exhibition] Powerhouse Museum, Ultimo. 17th October 2019 - 22nd March 2020.
Step Into Paradise (2019) is an exhibition that focuses on designers Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson, notable for their retail outlet Flamingo Park, established in 1973 in the Strand Arcade in Sydney where they sold not only the works of Jackson and Kee, but also other Australian designers like Peter Tully and David McDiarmid (Powerhouse Collection, N.D). Both designers are known for their distinctly ‘Australian’ style where many motifs and imagery of Australian nature and landscapes are featured in their garments. In addition to their designs being featured in their shop, Kee and Jackson also featured their designs in annual Flamingo Follies fashion parades with the help of collaborators. This exhibition is stated to be the “first major in-depth survey of the Australian designers and artists” (Fairley, 2019) with over 150 items including outfits, photographs, ephemera, and stories from over their four-decade career of “shaping an Australian narrative through fashion” (Fairley, 2019). Jackson and Kee’s work is displayed in a manner of different ways throughout the exhibition, with the viewer being taken through a series of rooms, accompanied with sound installations by Johnny Seymour and Nick Wales to create an immersive environment, each resembling a different part of the Australian Landscape including “the Great Barrier Reef, the Australian bush, opals and waratahs” (Fairley, 2019) and even a recreation of the Flamingo Park salon in which some of their most iconic designs like Kee’s I Love (1976)dress can be seen on display and embodies the working environment of the pair in addition to signifying the beginning of their iconic partnership. The display of both Kee and Jackson’s works together not only highlights their similarity in their use of Australian nature for inspiration but also showcases the different approaches they take in creating fashion as Kee’s designs consist of colourful knitwear whereas Jackson creates imagery and pattern using applique and patchwork in addition to the experimentation with the fabric using screen-printing, hand-painting and cut-work (Somerville, 2013). Visitors may also recognise some of the pieces that were on display as many of the duos works have been worn by popular designers like Karl Lagerfeld’s suit from the 1983 Chanel collection which featured Kee’s Black Opal print as well as British royalty as Princess Diana had previously worn the Blinky koala jumper which was knitted by Kee (Fairley, 2019). On the other hand, Jackson has created works for popular musicians like Marcia Hines (a hand-painted Gladioli dress) and has had her work featured in Vogue Living where Nell Schofield wore her Glacier Gown and Penguin Coat in Antarctica (Fairley, 2019). Overall, Step Into Paradise is an amazing example of how curators utilise retail settings associated with fashion, in this case it is Jackson and Kee’s history with their own salon, in order to help visitors to gain an insight into a designers surroundings and their creative mindset. Furthermore, by immersing their works into backgrounds directly related to the influences of their designs, the exhibition also does a great job of emphasising that not only are Jackson and Kee established designers but also artists.
You can find a walkthrough of the exhbition here.

AUSTRALIA – UK – FREE TRADE AGREEMENT – TACKLE RISING LIVING COSTS
Tumblr media
Much Awaited Australia – United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (FTA) enters into force from 31st May 2023
The agreement is a gold standard trade deal that delivers benefits for all Australians – including manufacturers, workers, farmers, trades, innovators, families, and students.
The United Kingdom is one of Australia’s major trading partners, with two-way goods trade worth $10 billion in 2022, and two-way services trade worth over $11 billion in 2021-22, making it our second largest services trading partner.
As of today, over 99 per cent of Australian products will enter the UK duty free. These include some of our key exports, such as wine, short and medium grain rice, sugar, honey, nuts, olive oil and food supplements.
UK tariffs on Australian industrial goods, such as auto parts, electrical equipment and fashion items are now eliminated. Australian agricultural products, including beef and sheep meat, sugar and dairy products, will have duty free transitional quotas, with eventual elimination of all tariffs.
For Australian consumers, tariffs on 98 per cent of UK imports to Australia are now eliminated, with the remainder removed within six years.
The agreement strengthens our people-to-people links with the UK. Australian professionals now have the same access to the UK job market as nationals from the European Union, except the Republic of Ireland.
The agreement also includes measures designed to improve the mobility of skilled workers and young people, in both directions. From 31 January 2024, Australians up to the age of 35, up from 30, will be able to apply for working holidays in the UK and stay for a maximum of three years instead of two.
Trade is more than just the exchange of products and services, it also boosts the exchange of ideas. Which is why our new trade agreement lays the foundation for Australian artists, including First Nations artists, receive royalties when their original works of art are resold in the UK.
The UK is Australia’s second largest source of investment, amounting to over $1 trillion in 2022. Modern investment provisions will help promote further growth in two-way investment.
Importantly, an investor-state dispute settlement mechanism is not part of the agreement. This means Australia’s sovereign right to develop and implement legitimate policy measures in areas such as public health and the environment is preserved.
The Albanese Labor Government prioritized legislation in the Parliament to bring this trade deal into force in record time, delivering on our commitment to help businesses diversify their trade and help bring down the cost of living for Australians.
Australian business looking to enter or expand into the UK market can seek assistance from Austrade. Business can also check how the tariff cuts under the agreement apply to their specific goods through DFAT’s FTA Portal and read DFAT’s Guide to Using the A-UKFTA to export and import goods.

Look who just woke up- is that HUNTER SCHAFER? No, I must have been mistaken, that’s TIGRIS SNOW from THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES. I heard they are 23 and stuck here just like everyone else. Even in the 20’s, she still gives off a HAVING A LOT OF PRIVILEGES BECAUSE OF THE STATUS OF HER FAMILY FOR THE FIRST YEARS OF HER LIFE; HAVING TO LEARN TO COOK AS A CHILD SO HER FAMILY WOULD HAVE A WARM MEAL; WANTING TO FOCUS ON A CAREER IN FASHION BUT WORKING IN OTHER JOBS TO MAKE ENDS MEET; OFTEN BEING WORRIED PEOPLE WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER VULNERABILITY; ACTUALLY BEING AGAINST THE HUNGER GAMES AND THE THINGS THAT WERE DONE TO THE TRIBUTES impression. In Sydney, they work as a FASHION DESIGNER.They’re known to be quite GENEROUS & SYMPATHETIC , but have a tendency to be VULNERABLE & SENSITIVE on their bad days.
Gender/Pronouns : she/her
How long have they been in Sydney : born and raised, but in reality 1 year
Which suburb do they live in? Tba
Personality description : Tigris is evry kind and cares for others - even people she does not know - and yes, maybe she does care too much. She feels for the tributes during the games, and would actually wish they would never have to happen again, ever. And while caring is not bad in general, it also makes Tigris vulnerable in a way that people - her own family included - could take advanage of it. Tigris is also resourceful, creative, and knows how to make much out of basically nothing, especially when it comes to clothes and fabrics.
Memories of their real life : everything from the movie/book
What was their fake life like: Tigris' fake life was simply, but good - compared to her real life, anyway. Her mother was a seamstress teaching Tigris and her two older sisters everything she knew. She also was a widow, so a father was sadly out of the picture. Her sisters got quickly married, but Tigris, for whatever reason, felt like love was not for her, and was dreaming to become a designer instead. It made her mother sad, yet she tried to help her daughter to reach her goals.

Flower Delivery in Manly Sydney
Flower delivery in Manly Sydney is easy and convenient. All you need to do is swipe your Opal card on trains, buses and public ferries.
Catching the ferry over to Manly is an adventure in itself, it feels like you’re visiting a little island away from Sydney. The walk to the main beach is stunning and the Corso overflows with boutiques and restaurants.
Manly to Spit Bridge Walk
The Manly to Spit Bridge Walk is a popular coastal hike that offers stunning harbour views and secluded beaches. It's best done in the cooler months and requires a good level of fitness. The hike is around 10km long and can be completed in about three hours, depending on the pace and number of breaks. You should bring a water bottle and comfortable trail shoes for the hike. You'll find a snack and drinks kiosk at Clontarf Reserve, about an hour into the hike from Spit Bridge.
Several swimming beaches are located along the walk, including Clontarf Beach, Forty Baskets Beach and Castle Rock. If you're feeling refreshed, you can take a dip at these beaches or swim at the lifeguard patrolled Manly Beach. During the hike, you'll also pass beautiful rocky headlands and walk through rainforest areas. Make sure to wear long loose layers and factor 30 sunscreen. The hike will also involve many stairs and steep hills.
Q Station
Q Station (formerly North Head Quarantine Station) is an extraordinary site of heritage and environmental significance, set within the stunning hectares of Sydney Harbour National Park. It offers stylish accommodation, unique group activities, restaurants and conference venues.
Spacious deluxe accommodation rooms look out over the Australian native bushland or spectacular Sydney Harbour. A heritage wharf, picturesque picnic areas and a private beach are all part of the experience. Its wild tranquil beauty has attracted a wide variety of wildlife, including endangered eastern long-nosed bandicoots and the native sunshine wattle.
It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers and explorers, with walking trails to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. You can also learn about Australia’s quarantine history through a series of interactive tours and activities.
The Corso
The Corso links Manly Cove to the beach. The short pedestrian walkway is lined with Victorian facades housing restaurants, bars, cafes, surf stores and three shopping arcades. It was designed by Henry Gilbert Smith, the earliest developer of Manly, to resemble Via del Corso in Rome.
A Cane Corso needs serious exercise and a confident, authoritative owner who serves as the alpha dog in their home. This intelligent working breed thrives when given a job to do and needs mental as well as physical stimulation or undesirable behavior can occur. Many compete in agility, obedience, dock diving and protection sport events.
From high end couture to funky boutique and market 'originals', find fashion, food and homewares along The Corso or discover hidden laneways during weekend outdoor markets. There's also a selection of pubs and cafes serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Children can splash in a series of water fountains set into the footpath that rise up a half metre and then die down at regular intervals.
Manly Beach
Fringed by Norfolk Island pine trees and a stunning harbour beach, Manly is a famous destination along Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It has a lazy, relaxed vibe and is home to some of Australia’s best surfers including Layne Beachley and Barton Lynch.
Enjoy a stroll down the lively Manly Corso and watch street performers. It’s lined with boutiques, cafes, ice creameries and restaurants. If you’re there on a weekend, be sure to check out the Manly Fresh Produce Markets.
The ocean beach at Manly is beautiful and calm, with a great rock pool for the kids. You can also walk to Shelly and North Steyne beaches from there or go up to the lookout at Queenscliff. It’s also worth checking out the secluded harbour beaches around the cliffs at North Head. They’re not as popular, but just as pretty! Located just 17 kilometres from the CBD, Manly is a popular tourist and surf beach destination. It was named after Governor Phillip’s encounter with the local'manly' aboriginal tribe in 1788.
