ATTICUS: There will be two other non-occults in the room as well – potential familiars.  AJA: Ooooh, that’s like a personal assistant for vampires, right? How fancy.  ATTICUS: Keep an eye on them, would you? You have always been such a skilled judge of character and could assist me by conducting…I’m forgetting the phrase you’ve used. An informal assessment of one’s person. AJA: A vibe check? ATTICUS: Yes, if you would perform a “vibe check” on these two mortals, I would be much appreciative.  AJA: Anything for my favorite vampire!...Don’t tell Ryan I said that, though.   ATTICUS: No promises.

Audi F103 Hatchback Prototype, 1969, by Bertone. The F103 series had re-established Audi in the car market of the 1960s. This was Bertone's proposal to update the range with a hatchback. However VW's takeover of Audi NSU Auto Union AG meant that the new generation of Audis for the 1970s were being designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and Bertone's design was passed over.

DKW F102 (1964–1966) in Bruchhausen-Vilsen. This was the last DKW model and the last one with two-stroke engine. The successor F103 was sold as Audi and had a four-stroke engine. Probably time to remember the four rings of the Auto Union logo, the four Auto Union brands: DKW, Audi, Horch and Wanderer. The F102 is a pretty rare sight nowadays and I was glad to have seen it.

Míg Zwickauban beköszöntött a kétütemű DKW-technológiára épülő VEB korszak a Trabant elődjeivel, az első Audi márkajelzésű modern autó a DKW F102-ből kifejlesztett F103 lett 1965-ben.

@petrany miért ekkora homály minden egyes autós újságírónál a 30-as és50-es évek szász autógyártása?

Zwickauban nem a hávorú után köszöntött be a 2T korszak. Ott előtte is több 2T készült, mint 4T, ráadásul a DKW-logós sikeres kétüteműeket épp az Audi tervezte és gyártotta Zwickauban, azokhoz a DKW-nak alig volt köze. A teljes F-sorozat ilyen, a DKW maga csak a hátsókerekes autókat tervezte és gyártotta, Spandauban, illetve motorokat Zschopauban. De még az első vizes motorkerékpár-motort is az Audi csinálta meg nekik a kéthengeres, levegős DKW-ból.

A "VEB-korszakban" csak epizódszerep jutott a DKW-technikának, a Trabantban nincs semmi, ami igazán a DKW-hez köthető, még akkor sem, ha ezt Csikós és Gajdán is folyton leírja.

Tudom, hogy ez a cikk szempontjából kevéssé fontos részlet, de ha már le van írva egy mondat, annak legyen már alapja!

HISTORY

Origins of the business and its name The Wanderer automobile company was founded in 1885 and eventually changed its name to Audi AG. During this period, another business, NSU, was founded. NSU later merged with Audi and provided the four-wheeler's chassis for Gottlieb Daimler.In the Cologne neighborhood of Ehrenfeld, August Horch (1868–1951) founded the business A. Horch & Cie. on November 14, 1899. He relocated to Reichenbach im Vogtland in 1902 along with his business. He established the joint-stock business August Horch & Cie. Motorwagenwerke AG on May 10, 1904 in Zwickau, State of Saxony.

After having issues with his chief financial officer, August Horch left Motorwagenwerke and established his second business, the August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH, in Zwickau on July 16, 1909. Audi AG, with its headquarters in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany, is a maker of luxury automobiles. German pronunciation: adi aeOW-dee. In nine manufacturing plants across the world,they produces automobiles as a division of its parent business, the Volkswagen Group.

The majority of shares in Audiwerke AG were purchased by Jrgen Rasmussen, the owner of Dampf-Kraft-Wagen (DKW), in August 1928.[21] In the same year, Rasmussen acquired the leftovers of the American automaker Rickenbacker, including the machinery for making 8-cylinder engines. The 1929 Zwickau and Dresden models both featured these engines. Both 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder (the "four" having a Peugeot engine) variants were created at the same time. At the time, there vehicles were expensive automobiles with unique bodywork.

Horch, DKW, and Wanderer joined forces with Audi to form Auto Union AG, Chemnitz, in 1932. During this time, the business offered the its Front, which made history as the first front-wheel drive, six-cylinder vehicle in Europe.The convoluted history of the business may be traced to the founding of August Horch's (1868–1951) primary businesses, Horch and the auwerke, in the early 20th century. DKW and Wanderer were two additional automakers which helped launch Auto Union in 1932. In the 1960s, Volkswagen purchased Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, ushering in the contemporary Audi era.[9] Volkswagen united Auto Union with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969, revitalizing the Audi brand with the debut of the Audi F103 series in 1965. This resulted in the current-day Volkswagen.
