Tord and Edd Adoptive Siblings AU Comic

so I've headcanoned these two as adoptive brothers for a while but I don't think I've made much of any art of that, so here ya go! In this comic Tord is only his foster brother for now and he'll be adopted later. Edd is still getting used to having a brother, and him and Tord don't know each other too well yet. Tord has a lot of trauma Edd doesn't understand, which means Edd's mum's attention is mostly on him, and Edd feels neglected up until he starts to realise just how much Tord needs the help and starts to pitch in on caring for him. So, yeah, that's what this comic is! Just a big self-indulgent headcanon dump :3

he 100% spies on you when you're rocking out or writing songs. like he thinks it's so interesting. he would just ask to watch but he knows you wouldn't want someone hovering over you while you do your thing

he looves to draw you playing the guitar in his sketchbook,, like he already draws u a lot but he has little shitty doodles of you playing instruments and singing on his wall with lil music notes and everything

lots of music puns.

"hey- hey Y/N. what do you call a musician with problems?"

"what?"

"a trebled man."

if you ever fully produce and release a song, he makes a little animation to it and put a drawing of him smooching u on the cheek at the end. (iknow this is really specific but tell me u don't see this happening)

claps for you when you sing. like in a crowd he'd stand up and clap really obnoxiously and yell "YEAHH WOOOHOOOO GO Y/N" n it'd be really embarrassing

"hey, you see that person- right- right up there? yeah, yeah that's my S/O. i know, they're so great." he says to the person next to him with tears in his eyes

karaoke nights. you two go to a karaoke bar and sing your hearts out. he's absolutely awful at singing but he LOVES it

your guitar and susan have a makeshift wedding, and tom is crying the entire time, walking susan down the aisle while you play wedding music

if you started like shredding on an electric guitar or bass he'd just sit on the bed and ogle like a lovestruck idiot. like he's soooooo in love

he's super impressed, and he'll say it sometimes but be all awkward about it

"you're really good at that stuff, Y/N. i mean- seriously, it's impressive." he's like looking away and scratching his neck

he low-key feels kinda insecure about his own music skills. i think he'd like to write his own songs but hates sharing them, and he's kinda mediocre at playing the bass so when he sees you absolutely destroying the piano or something he deflates

asks you to help him get better at guitar,, which ends up with you like. holding his hands over the correct position on it behind him and it's super awkward and he gets really flustered

you both write songs about each other and you both nearly faint when you see each others songs

sometimes he gets shit-faced and shows up at your door like crying with his bass and a whole speaker system set up outside and just plays a love song he made for you while sobbing his 'eyes' out

matt

he's like, insisting that you play professional classical music or something. like his eyes are glittering talking about having a duet together on stage

he probably has like a play about himself and he begs you to play the music for it

he's constantly asking you to play him stuff. like every now and then he asks you to sing him a lullaby when he goes to bed and he falls asleep in your lap

or sometimes he asks you to play a popular pop song on guitar, and he sings along (albeit terribly)

speaking of singing, he ALWAYS starts singing when he hears you singing or humming. like it's a reflex to sing along. he sheepishly apologizes if you deadpan at him though

when introducing you to someone he wraps his arm around your waist or shoulder and pulls you close and flashes a shiny grin, showing you off

"heh, yeah, this is my S/O, they're a singer and musician. they can play the guitar, piano, violin.. yeah, i'm a pretty cool guy- i mean! uh, they're, pretty cool. yeah. that's what i said."

when the person starts talking to you about your talent goes to you he'll whine and try to get their attention back on him. he knows you're super cool and awesome and have an amazing voice and a beautiful face but this is about HIM and HIS beautiful face!!!

sometimes he walks in on you strumming your guitar or singing a little tune, and he'll lean on the doorway with his arms crossed just listening

he thinks it's super cool, and sometimes he'll ask you to play one of his favorite songs

subconsciously starts humming your songs around the house, and might get a little flustered if you mention it

definitely borrowed your guitar one time and probably broke one of the strings. he got absolutely terrified and locked himself in his room waiting for you to get home

"tord! i'm home! what's- *gasp*"

absolutely quaking in his boots. safe to say he got a good smack on the head and had to pay to get it repaired

he loves to listen to you sing or play piano through the walls. he finds it less awkward than being in the same room, and the muffled effect makes it strangely calming

like matt he pulls you close and brags about your talents to people you meet. with a huge grin too. he thinks he looks so cool but he actually looks like a huge douchebag

This is Red Porker, he's Tord's pet piggy and he loves him more than anything in the world. You can usually find him being coddled by Tord, sleeping on Tord's lap during red army meetings, eating gourmet slop, playing with a ball, or just waddling around. Tord actually has it stated in his will that when he dies everything goes to Red porker, everything. The money, the army, anime figurines, everything, and all his friends HATE it. Don't get it twisted though, Tord still loves to eat bacon but he only does it whenever porker isn't around, and sometimes he even eats vegan bacon.

"tord-coming-back" theory time cause we doin this

We've seen the teaser. We know the character. The question is, where does he fall in the story? I'm not talking about the timeline because why would they put a bleeding wound where his bandage was if it wasn't to signify that the teaser takes place BEFORE The End? (Also, the absence of his not-so-injured left arm further proves the timeline.)

What I'm actually asking is, will tord take on a protagonist or antagonist role if he comes back? That's really up to the scriptwriters but I'm on the internet so it's PLOT HEADCANNON TIME!!! It goes a little sumn like this:

He starts targeting/pranking/ew classic bullying style (think Dudette Next Door mixed with Spy vs Spy) his friends from afar with an undertone of revenge cause they blew up his stupid robot.

Eventually confronting the characters trying to get on their good side again after the previous step doesn't work.

And then it splits off from here with different story ideas:

(Protagonist) He actually apologizes at the gang's apartment doorstep after failing so much to kill them, characters react as they would, and the boys OFFICIALLY take him back into the group to do more dumb adventures as the Red Army plotline looms over tord as he keeps it a secret or slips up. The whole "at first I hated you but now I don't but I already sent bombs to your location so now we have to fix this together."

(Antagonist) ORRRRR they reject his apology and he sticks with his classic bullying ways, hurting the gang more than he intended to but has to stick with the whole Red Army leader tough guy attitude while secretly regretting his actions. Not the whole "take over the world" part but the "you blew up your friend's house" part. he finally attempts to take control of the UK while the three try to stop him again as he gets closer and closer to actually succeeding. AND WE AIN'T DOING A TBATF SITUATION HERE. HE'S NOT MAKING THOSE STUPID FUCKING MASKS HE JUST WANTS THE GOVERNMENT.

A quick reminder that this isn't The End. If he's back it only makes sense that he'll be here for a while as another one of the boys. But if not, it's more realistic he'll just keep coming back kinda like zanta, showing up to be an antagonist with an actual background and motivations for an episode then dips again until next time. Hell, it's an absolute possibility that the teaser was just a way to get more people to buy the youtooz.

But I'll be DAMNED AND SHOT DEAD if they don't do SOMETHING with his character. Not after that dope ass teaser all hidden and stuff. It's been 8 years man, make this happen.

Do any of the boys know how to cook or is Tom the only one with some kind of culinary knowledge

Tom is like the only one in the house who can bake anything, well, anything gourmet or from scratch, Edd can grab box brownies and make them easy peasy. Tord, however, has a runny rivalry with anything pastry; it's very frustration, since he can do easily cook but can't for the life of him figure out how dough works (and he's to impatient for it, from my experience cooking is more fast paced and baking is a lot of waiting, though there are of course exceptions)

Tom's pretty mediocre at cooking, like he knows how to make simple things like pasta, cereal, eggs, sandwiches, etc., but full course meals are not his forte, he's the baker of the group as i previously went off about in my other reply

Like I mentioned earlier, Tord is kinda renowned as the house's resident cook (but secretly, because if they told him he'd get a worse ego and he'd need a bigger house to fit it in), but his expertise in cooking come from a long line of years left home alone and made to fend for himself with a side of ADHD and perfectionism

Edd's got good skill, too, he's very resourceful, often it'll be either him or Tord working in the kitchen for meals, sometimes both if they can manage to not fight over "who's in charge" and not step on each other's feet,,, too many cooks in the kitchen as some say. Though both of them working together is usually reserved for when they can swallow their prides, i.e. special occasions like birthdays, holidays, or generally big events

Matt,,, he tried so hard, and the boys tried so hard to teach him. Cooking, baking, anything, but it's like throwing darts at a brick wall. He knows how to follow instructions and use the microwave and that's all he needs, especially when he has great chefs and bakers living with him and he can easily use flattery to get (most of them) to do as he pleases, meal wise anyway
