Bby where do you buy your clothes ?! ♡♡♡ And have you any makeup favorites ?
Have a nice day !!!
Hey my love x
I buy all my clothes from zara/cos (although zara’s been disappointing me lately hahaha)
I am not that much into makeup anymore since covid, i used to be obsessed, but now i focus more on skincare/ageing prevention, but i do still have some trusty favourites.
Maybelline 4 in 1 glow perfector - i use that as a base (i don’t wear foundation)
I mix the Nars Soft Matte Concealer with the Nyx Bare with Me serum concealer - it’s the bessttt combo, i discovered it by accident and will never go back
Patrick Ta creme contour and bronzer - best contour i’ve ever used
Tower 28 creme blush - i LOVE creme products, i feel like they sink in the skin best and they look the most natural
Mercury Retrograde palette from Huda Beauty, still my fave eyeshadow palette, i have repurchased it cause i love it so much, formula blends well and is buildable, shades range from natural to more eccentric so it’s good for every occasion
The Clinique high impact mascara is one of my favourites, i’m very picky with mascara, but i’ve been using the Colossal Mascara from Maybelline and it’s actually quite nice, i enjoy it a lot
For brows, I LOVE the ELF clear Brow Lift Gel - so so good
And for lips, i love the Etude House Fixing Tint and the Maybelline Lifter Glosses, they’re the best glosses i’ve ever used
That’s basically it bestie xx
Hope this helps, smooches x

tbh the only mascara that work for me are from East Asian brands bc I have very straight eyelashes even when I curl them (I got super straight hair in general). Hate western mascaras too. Don’t know what ur looking for exactly but I like this one from etude house (forgot what it’s called sorry but I’ve tried a couple and I like all of em tbh)
ur right tho because the east asian brands really are A+ on the makeup game, ive tried a few things from yesstyle and theyre life changing even though i cant justify waiting so fucking long for them to arrive sometimes lmfao
TY FOR THE REC
ive also heard a lot of good things about mexican products

Nobu Performs at the Seattle Symphony and I subsequently cry my eyes out
Tumblr media
There is nothing quite like the solidarity that you get from silently wiping away your tears at the symphony as the fellow next to you does the same thing. I think Rachmaninoff just has that effect on people.
I went to see Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 on January 28th, performed by Nobuyuki Tsujii (also referred to as Nobu by his fans) on the piano and the Seattle Symphony conducted by Jiří Rožeň. I hadn’t realized how famous Tsujii was until I showed up to Benaroya Hall. It was a packed house with a lot more people my own age in attendance than what you typically see with the usual symphony crowd. Despite my ignorance about Nobu’s notoriety, I was about to discover the reason for this justifiable fame soon enough. Nobu’s dynamic sensitivity was absolutely sublime, at times it seemed his fingers were merely brushing against the keys and then, just moments after, he would bring the piano up to its full capacity, all the while not sacrificing any clarity. It would be remiss to not mention that Nobu is fully blind, which makes his talent all the more awe-inspiring, given that he has to commit everything he plays to memory without the use of sheet music and goes purely off of listening to specialized recordings. As for the choice in music, it resonated perfectly with me in my current state. As someone who often finds themselves struggling with the blight of seasonal affective disorder in the Seattle winters, reading the program about how Rachmaninoff wrote his second concerto as he was exiting a depression made the music feel like a deliverance. The encore was an etude by Nikolai Kapustin, and I always feel my ego puff up a bit when I can recognize the encore, since it is not listed in the program and the pianist often doesn’t say what they've just played. I could truly appreciate the level of Nobu’s virtuosity with the Kapustin etude, as I had since recovered from the emotional journey Rachmaninoff had put me through, and my vision was no longer blurred by my tears.
Nobu’s performance was sandwiched between two beautiful works by Czech composers. The conductor, Jiří Rožeň, who specializes in works by Czech composers, led the charge with Dvořák’s Carnival Overture. I had never heard the piece prior to this performance, but it was delightful all the same. The night was closed out with Martinů’s Symphony No. 6, which was also new to me, but seemed to be in keeping with what I have heard from the composer in the past. The dissonance that Martinů employs often makes me think, “oh god that’s awful, I love it.” The joy of going to the symphony is that it is consistently introducing me to new pieces, even though I usually only buy tickets for the shows that are headlined by works that I already know.
Every so often, living in the Seattle area graces me with the opportunity to see a world class musician. I’m not entirely sure how to capture what I mean by “world class,” but I do know that it is a rare virtuosity, and outside of just technical perfection, it is a performance that has emotional breadth. I’m not particularly religious but sometimes it seems to me that some musicians have been sent down from on high. Perhaps they are connecting to a universal plane that is always there, but only occasionally tapped into. I experience shivers that start at the top of my head and travel to the tips of my fingers, and if that in itself is not a religious experience, I'm not sure what is. I felt it when I saw Daniil Trifonov perform back in November, and then again with Nobuyuki Tsujii. I am beyond excited for Rach Fest which is coming up in April. If you plan on attending, remember to wear waterproof mascara.
Photo credits go to Brandon Patoc, and special thanks to Courtney from the Seattle Symphony's PR team for helping me in my pursuit of becoming a regular symphony attendee.
Xoxo, Addie

Hiya! About the mascara, have you tried heroine make? A reblog mentioned it. It's pretty long lasting, also the eyeliners are BUDGEPROOF like no matter how much you cry it won't budge
Also, have you tried any korean brands? I absolutely LOVE etude house mascaras and korean mascaras are raved about on the internet. So far I've heard about Clio and Innisfree, I'm planning to try Clio kill lash mascara after i finish my heroine make one
For reference, I have straight, sparse lashes but considered long for east asian standards
Have fun looking for your mascaras! Lots of love from a lovely beauty guru aka me ♥♥
Oooh thank you so much for this!
I really wanted to get Into Korean skincare, but I've not tried any of their makeup or anything yet. It's pricey no? That being said I think I'd rather spend a bit more on a good product than a little on something that turns out bad quality. My lashes are pretty thick but they're not that long, I make my own lash serum at the moment with almond and castor oil but honestly it's not something I have a lot of commitment to 😭
Thank you so much for your recs! 💞

This month, I bought a couple of make-ups I've been wanting to try. I was really skeptical about this purchase since my face is really sensitive but because a friend of mine also suggested using this, I've decided to give BNB (barenbliss) a try.
Tumblr media
I am most excited to try their cushion since I have seen so many good reviews about it. Sadly though the shade I got wasn't flattering on me but I am able to buy another one that suits me better. I got bundle #4 from their tiktok live for only 769php which is quite a steel considering I am getting a compact cushion, compact powder, mascara, lip serum and a free lip/cheek tint + beauty blender. I also bought peach makes perfect lip gloss and cherry makes cheerful velvet lipcream. I like cherry better than peach since I have dry lips. Their mascara is long lasting and seriously waterproof I had a hard time washing it off with just my facial wash. I also bought their eyeshadow palette simply because they look cute. I also got bloomatte liptint which I am definitely not a fan of due to it's strong scent. It smells like flower detergent unlike the other two which smells fruity or like candies. Some of the other stuffs I got are stuffs I already use and ran out of.
Anyway, here's a video in case you're interested:
youtube
Would I recommend BNB? Probably not. Why?
Simply because it caused break-outs on my friend. Their cushion is really great and gives that my skin but better look but it is not for people with acne prone skin. Also it is not transferproof, the same goes with their compact powder. Their bloomatte doesn't really last that long either nor does their other lippie (not sure about berry and apple since I have yet ti get them). Their eyeshadow palette is nice but I'll stick with Etude House. I am just biased with EH since I prefer their colors better compared to BNB but both works fine and buildable. I loved their lipserum since I have dry lips and it works well as a base. Their mascara is really waterproof, smudgeproof and long lasting. I think most people would like their mascara but since I am lazy, I had a hard time removing it with just my facial wash.
Over all, I think BNB is a good brand with exagerated claims about their lippies. Their cushion and powder are nice but I've tried better ones before.

Friends, if you are tired of fake eyelashes and you want long and separated lashes look with mascara only like K-idols then this video is for you.
This mascara base has little black fibres that elongates lashes, holds curl for more than 6 hours and makes mascara waterproof.
