Good news! I got approved for the apartment I want to move into. They wanted a cosigner because the very confusing paystub I provided as proof of employment led them to believe I was making about $1k a month. And then applying for an $800 a month apartment. But anyhow, that got all cleared up and I was approved with no cosigner required. I'm very excited because it's quite a nice apartment and pretty close to where I work.

#as well as directly across the street from a grocery store which is just so nice #anyhow this was one of those cases of #me: hey i need proof of employment so i can apply for an apartment #employer: we use this website that lenders can use to verify your employment online! just give them your ssn #apartment: yeah we dont use that service thats expensive as hell. give us a letter from your employer please #employer: but we use this service! its super easy and convenient! #apartment: how about two paystubs? two paystubs? you dont have two paystubs? well then let us have a letter #employer: well idkkkkkkkk. how exactly does one write a letter to verify employment? i dont know what they could possibly want #what information exactly are they looking for? are you sure you cant just give them your paystub? your singular partial paystub? #that nowhere on it mentions that its a partial paystub? wont that work instead? #i just dont know how to write a letter that verifies employment. there are so many things they might want to know #anyway #after a lot of phone calls it got sorted
