💙 Clemmy Week - Day 7 💛
Kisses/Yearning
Tumblr media
Happy (early) Valentine’s Day! 💖
Clive generally hates physical touch and will often wear gloves. Emmy being allowed (and encouraged!) to give him hand kisses is a testament to the trust and love they share.
And that officially concludes Clemmy Week 2023! Special thanks to @nebulousboops for putting this cool event together.
Signing off!

🇭🇺 vs 🇫🇮 Second Period Recap
Power play goal? How ‘bout two! Taylor Baker was called for holding and Naisleijonat captain Jenni Hiirikoski scored from the blue line thirty seconds into the man advantage with assists from Noora Tulus and Rosa Lindstedt. Hungarian captain Fanni Garát-Gasperics was called for tripping in the 34th minute and Jenniina Nylund managed to score with just seven seconds left on the power play, assisted by Sanni Vanhanen and Viivi Vainikka. Only six seconds later, Sofianna Sundelin set Emilia Vesa up for a textbook goal, made possible by Emmi Rakkolainen's clean face off win.

Sicktember 2023: 14
“I shouldn't be worried about you, but for some reason I am.”
“You did this to yourself, you know.”
“Gee, Emily, I wasn’t aware. Thank you so much for telling me,” you reply sarcastically.
You’re currently laying on the cool tile of the bathroom floor, your eyes closed to hopefully prevent the nauseous feeling from progressing. Emily is leaning against the doorframe, looking down at you.
“We all told you not to keep practicing after practice, but you insisted. We all told you to drink water and you had maybe two sips total. You kept ignoring us, and now you have- I don’t know- heat stroke or something.”
As you open your mouth to reply, you feel something other than words bubbling up. You quickly push yourself back over the toilet, gagging. You spit into the toilet when you finish, hoping to rid yourself of the taste.
“Exhaustion,” you say quietly.
“What are you talking about?” Emily asks.
“It’s heat exhaustion, not heat stroke. Heat stroke can kill you, heat exhaustion just makes you feel shitty. And I’m not dead, I just feel shitty.”
“See, that’s the thing. I know you caused this and I know you’ll be fine. I shouldn’t be this worried about you, but you look so pitiful that I am.”
You pout at Emily, taking advantage of her worry to get what you want.
“Emmy? Can you pass me my water?”
Emily grabs the water bottle from the sink, passing it down to you. She watches you rinse your mouth out before moving to recap the water bottle.
“Uh-uh, no way,” she stops you. “Drink some of that too, at least a quarter of it.”
You reluctantly put the bottle to your mouth, taking a few small sips before pulling it away. You look up to see Emily glaring at you, and, with a deep breath, you drink enough of the water to satisfy her.
“Good girl,” she nods, “are you ready to get to bed?”
You shake your head, regretting it when it causes the ever-present nausea to worsen, “I’m gonna stay here for tonight, just in case.”
Emily sighs dramatically before disappearing into the room. At first, you assume that she’s gone to bed, but the clattering you hear tells you that she hasn’t. It’s only when she reappears at the bathroom door that you know what she’s doing.
Her arms are full of blankets and pillows and she quickly drops them to the floor. She pushes one of the pillows over to you, keeping the other for herself. She doesn’t give you a blanket, knowing that it would defeat all of the cooling off that your body had done. She instead lays the extra comforter on the ground, providing some cushioning from the firm floor.
Emily lays down next to you, pulling one of the blankets over herself and throwing an arm around you. Her hand settles on your stomach, gently rubbing large circles.
“Don’t tell anyone I’m doing this,” she warns, “we agreed that we’d make you suffer through this alone because you did this to yourself. I’m not going to leave you alone, but if any of the other girls ask, you spent the night alone on the cold, dark, bathroom floor.”
“Please, do you really think any of them would have actually left me alone to suffer?” You ask, “I know that none of the vets would, and I doubt anyone else would. Well, maybe Kel, but that’s just because she doesn’t do well with sick people.”
Emily laughs, thinking about Kelley’s reaction the last time you had gotten sick, “you’re right, I bet she would just run and make whoever she finds first come take care of you. The girl means well, she’s just not a fan of bodily fluids.”
You smile before a yawn replaces it.
“Get some sleep, sicky,” Emily says, “you need it.”

iHeart & SXSW Announce The Return Of iHeartPodcast Awards
Tumblr media
We just suffered through the Golden Globes. The Emmy Awards will be broadcast this weekend, and the Oscars will be presented in early March.
So it's only right -- and just -- that podcasting get in on all the backslapping, ego stroking, and recognition. iHeartMedia has now joined forces with South by Southwest (SXSW) to announce the return of the iHeartPodcast Awards, which will take place live and in-person during the SXSW Conference and Festivals in Austin, TX. The event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel on Monday, March 11 at 8 p.m. CT and will honor the best and most innovative industry podcasts and creators of 2023. The ceremony will broadcast live on select iHeartMedia Radio Stations nationwide, through the iHeartRadio app and via a video stream in partnership with YouTube on iHeartRadio’s YouTube Channel. The event will additionally be available on demand following the initial live stream. Nominees across categories include podcasts from all creators, distributors and platforms with a judging panel composed of blue-ribbon podcast industry leaders, creatives and visionaries who will determine the winners in categories including comedy, crime, news, pop culture, sports, food, business, and more. In addition to the panel-judged category awards, one award, the coveted Podcast of the Year, will have a fan voting component. The 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards will also feature Icon Awards, which will pay tribute to creators, organizations and podcasts that have made groundbreaking industry contributions. “Each year we look forward to celebrating the podcast industry’s most groundbreaking and innovative voices as the medium continues to evolve and explode,” said Conal Byrne, CEO of iHeartMedia’s Digital Audio Group. “Over the past few years, SXSW has become a dynamic and effective setting for us to host many of our interactive podcast panels, discussions, and experiences. There's no better location to bring this celebratory industry event back, live and in person, than Austin at South by Southwest.” "This partnership showcases our commitment to celebrating creative people across the diverse world of podcasting and beyond,” said Jann Baskett, SXSW Co-President and Chief Brand Officer. "We’re thrilled to join forces with iHeartMedia to bring the iHeartPodcast Awards to Austin and amplify the incredible talent shaping the future of this dynamic medium." Previous iHeartPodcast Awards shows have featured an array of celebrity presenters and guests. Appearances included Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, Will Arnett, Dua Lipa, Martha Stewart, Questlove, Mayim Bialik, Will Ferrell, Malcolm Gladwell, Draymond Green, Bethenny Frankel, Conan O’Brien, Angela Yee, and many more. Visit the recap for additional information around the 2023 iHeartPodcast awards. iHeart swears that "more information including category nominees, guest hosts, celebrity appearances and more will be announced in the coming months."
iHeart wants you to know that the 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards is part of iHeartMedia’s roster of nationally recognized events including the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the nationwide iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Concert Tour, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, iHeartCountry Festival and iHeartRadio ALTer Ego.
Personally, I have heartburn from all these iHeart awards. However, podcasters do deserve to be recognized, so kudos to iHeart.
Please iHeart, no participation trophies.

Foundation Season 2 Episode 4 DEEP DIVE and REACTION
Tumblr media
Thank you FANdation, We are back with another recap of our favorite “mother and daughter” show Foundation Season 2 Episode 4. I’m your host, Anthony, and I will do my best to be your guide in this far-out show as we’re picking up where Episode 3 ended with Gaal and Salvor discovering Hari on the hand of that monument and he’s now flesh and blood and is no longer just a hologram. https://youtu.be/k09_mZzMXkI This episode is titled “Where the Stars Are Scattered Thinly” which we learn has a cool meaning later in this episode as we catch up with some of our favorite characters and see exactly what happens next in this unpredictable show.  Synopsis: More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. The monumental adaptation of “Foundation” chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity. From storyteller David S. Goyer, the expansive global hit will debut on Apple TV+ on July 14, 2023 with one episode, followed by new episodes weekly, every Friday, through September 15. Based on Isaac Asimov’s award-winning stories, the series features an international cast led by Emmy-nominated actors Jared Harris and Lee Pace, alongside rising stars Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey. Foundation Season 2 Episode 2 DEEP DIVE and REACTION
Tumblr media
Thank you FANdation, We are back with another recap of our favorite "The future is effed up" show Foundation Season 2 Episode 2. We’re picking up where Episode 1 ended with Gaal and Hari Seldon preparing to have a reckoning after Gaal imprisoned him in the Prime Radiant for 138 years.  https://youtu.be/mX8D7XZ7uz4 This episode is titled “A Glimpse of Darkness” which seems very appropriate for all of the teases we get in this episode from the seemingly dark motives of Queen Sareth to the apocalyptic future we see with The Mule. Oh, and did I mention that Hari Seldon is completely pissed at being locked in the Prime Radiant while conscious for 138 years? Synopsis: More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. Foundation Season 2 Episode 3 DEEP DIVE and Breakdown
Tumblr media
Thank you #FANdation, We are back with another recap of our favorite “The Future is effed up” show Foundation Season 2 Episode 3. I’m your host, Anthony, and I will do my best to be your guide in this far-out show as we’re picking up where Episode 2 ended with Gaal and Salvor reeling over what they learn about the future with The Mule, The Cleonic dynasty meeting the in-laws, and everything going on with the first foundation. This episode is titled “King and Commoner” which seems to continue the trend of double entendres in the title with one part referring to what we see with the intergalactic thief Halbor Mallow and also with the cold war between Brother Day and Belrios. That doesn't even scratch the surface of what we see happen with Hari and I can’t wait to dive into it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRh646FG3q4 Synopsis: More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. Foundation Season 2 Episode 1 DEEP DIVE and Recap
Tumblr media
Thank you #FANdation, we are back with another recap of our favorite fight the future show Foundation Season 2 Episode 1.  We’re picking up where Season 1 ended with the Cleon dynasty in disarray, Hari somehow dead but alive, and mother and daughter Gaal and Salvor meeting for the first time. This episode is titled “In Seldon’s Shadow” which is a very fitting title considering that everything that has occurred on this show in the last 100+ years is a result of the machinations of mathematician Harry Seldon. This is a great way to highlight the importance of Hari Seldon, even hundreds of years after his death, but also a metaphor for how secretive he was when working on his plans for the future as our characters try to unravel all of his secrets and also ensure the future of mankind despite the overwhelming odds ahead of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CRSozLm5sE Synopsis: More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself.
