Happy TDOV!

When I first realized I was trans, I never thought I would make it past 18. I'm now going to be turning 25 this year, almost a year into my first-ever full-time job (another thing I never thought was possible). While my physical and mental health haven't been great, I'm glad and thankful every day of my choice to transition and live with myself as I truly am. And I'm glad to show people that two-spirit people and LGBT Muslims exist and can live happy lives. Shout out and love to my fellow two-spirit folks and my fellow trans Muslims, any future with us in it is a bright one 🧡🏳️‍⚧️

Hiiiii, I've shared so many stages of this piece while I worked on it, but I finally sat down today and finished it up.

It's a shame that there's no ball these two can go to in game, but at least I can draw up them getting to have a fancy dance. Together I think they would be the best dressed couple, especially with Majexatli (they/them) bringing their native swag :)

I wish doctors were taught like. idk. how to be normal with people who aren't white.

I went to urgent care twice and the ER once, all in the past 5 days with ear pain and excruciating neck pain (some of the worst I have felt in my life)

I was treated as follows:

Urgent Care 1: [I wore a typical hijab] Quickly dismissed with barely an exam, given questionable dosages of antibiotics

Urgent Care 2: [I wore pajamas and a haphazard headscarf that I switched to a loose turban for the exam] The doctor quite literally supposed that my headscarf could be causing the pain that's a 9/10 on the pain scale. And after 2 hours of waiting, they begrudgingly changed my antibiotics to a more adequate treatment for an ear infection.

Emergency Room: [I did not wear a headscarf at all, due to pain and fear of being dismissed] Asked questions such as whether I was born in the united states and if I'm a citizen. I was born in this hospital system, at their location 10 miles away.

Since I ended up doing a full body piece of Majexatli in their camp clothes, I couldn't resist trying to mimic an in-game screenshot of Majexatli as a companion.

Majexatli (they/them) is an indigiqueer neutral(ish) zariel tiefling circle of the moon druid. They're a Malarite (though they try to hide it). They're also bisexual and polyamorous. In my main playthrough with them, they romance Wyll and Karlach :)

I realized the other day I don't think I've properly shared my Sanrymic lineup/reference. So! Here they are!

Sanrymic Tēhal (aka Flint) is a Scourge Aasimar Monk (Way of Mercy). Lots of thought went into their design, and the motifs of life, death, and rebirth. They're indigiqueer and use they/them pronouns.

The original concept with their name and design was partially inspired specifically by Mictēcacihuātl (death symbolism). Since they're an aasimar, I gave them feathers, but specifically Quetzal feathers which are associated Quetzalcoatl (life symbolism). I also decided against a halo because it seemed a tad christian lmao.

going into bg3 I low key feel insane because I see like a goblin or orc or whatever and I’m like “that’s a person” and everyone’s like “uh no those are actually primitive monsters who are genetically evil” and then at the same time there’s a story arc about “these people think tieflings are horrific monsters that aren’t people and should be left to die, but the tieflings are literally just innocent people”. And it’s like. Okay so. Certain races are seen as being monsters but are actually people and not the horrific being people say they are, but there are other races that are just evil dumb barbaric monsters genetically?

I have played dnd for many years and I don’t think a single campaign I’ve been in ever has had like the wild ass racism that’s canon in dnd so this is such whiplash. Like oh standing up for tiefling refugees is being Good but stopping someone from impulsively executing a caged goblin prisoner is Kinda Bad because goblins ARE evil? Sorry I didn’t realize I thought they were both just. People?
