Seto rahvuseepos PEKO Autor: Anne Vabarna Tiitel: Peko Illustreerinud: Sirje Rump Kõvaköide, 332 lehekülge,  ISBN 978-9949-88-103-1 Väljaandja: Kirjastus Seto Kiri Seto rahvuseepos PEKO käesolev väljaanne on teine trükk. Räpina kandi mees Paulopriit Voolaine jõudis äratundmisele, et setodel oleks vaja oma eepost. Ennast ei pidanud ta pädevaks seda kirjutama aga leidis seto lauluema Anne Vabarna. Kes siis kirjaoskamatuna laulis eepose ette oma pojale Ivole. Viimane pani selle kirja ja edastas selle Paulopriidule Tartusse. 1928.aasta Eesti Kirjanduse esinumbris oli esimene artikkel mis tutvustas värsket seto eepost. Eepose käsikiri jäi 70.aastaks Tartu kirjandusmuuseumi kogu riiulile. 1995.aastal nägi Peko esimest korda kirjavalgust Soomes Kuopios, täpselt samamoodi kui eesti rahvuseepose Kalevipoeg esmatrükk, mis tehti samuti Kuopios. Käesolev seto eepos Peko on raamatu teine trükk, mis on ilmunud Eestis ja kirjastatud seto kirjastuse Seto Kiri poolt 2017.aastal. Eepose on illustreerinud Sirje Rump ja teos on pidulikus kõvakaanelises köites. it’ll be ok. I’m just sick and tired of drawing because of these reasons and more. I have no inspiration to draw anything lol. Maybe if i stop drawing fanart people will see more original stuff from me and maybe like it....But I’m uninspired to draw even that lol It is frustrating to see reposters all the time..instagram being the worst of it. “What would American poets and critics do without the Central Europeans and the Russians to browbeat themselves with?” Maureen McLane asks in a recent review in the Chicago Tribune. “Miłosz, Wisława Szymborska, Adam Zagajewski, Zbigniew Herbert, Joseph Brodsky—here we have world-historical seriousness! Weight! Importance! Even their playfulness is weighty, metaphysical, unlike barbaric American noodlings!” McLane takes aim at a critical commonplace now well entrenched among anglophone poets and critics. In anthologies, essays, and poems alike, the great Eastern Europeans of the century just past—Akhmatova, Mandelstam, Brodsky, Miłosz, Herbert, Szymborska, et al.—play the acknowledged, if unofficial, legislators to their unhappily marginalized, conspicuously unoppressed neighbors to the west. “Only here do they really respect poetry—they kill because of it,” Osip Mandelstam remarked to his wife at the onset of Stalin’s Great Terror. “More people die for poetry here than anywhere else.” There are advantages, needless to say, to coming from nations where poets are less highly rated. But to writers reared on the Romantic myth of the poet-Christ, the fate of Eastern Europe’s modern bards, besieged by history, persecuted by one repressive regime after another, must seem seductive indeed. Few writers have ever died of benign neglect.
