Shopping Empires Review (Karianne Gagnon Course)
Today, we’ll be going through Karianne Gagnon’s Shopping Empires. It’s currently priced at $497, and its main focus revolves around WooCommerce, Shopify, and Google Ads Shopping.
As always, the sales page sells you wonders, and its design is very flashy and professional. It provides several comments and testimonials from both students and other gurus, which I’ve reviewed in the past, as backing for its claims.
However, as you probably know, that’s a standard (in one way or another) among eCommerce courses, so it’s not a selling point.
The content is, though, so let’s get right into it.
Who’s the author?
One has to look thoroughly to find out who’s Karianne. There’s not much information available besides a software released back in 2016. She does, however, claim to own various 7-figure brands on Shopify and consistently making $1,000 every day.
She seems to be a former student from Franklin Hatchett’s eCom Profit Masterclass, starring Richard Telfeja’s mentorship. However, Franklin ended this partnership a while ago, but it’s still a good sign.
Karianne is offering her own course, offering a break from Facebook Ads to focus on Google Shopping Ads, implementing it with a store on Shopify and WooCommerce.
Of course, the sales page has some warning signs. These include zero mentions on the actual profits she makes, and instead opts to talk solely about her revenue. Making millions in sales doesn’t mean a lot since marketing and maintenance costs can be quite big.
There’s also how she says you can make a living off dropshipping and Google Ads without investing any money. Even if you somehow get Google advertising for free, you still need to pay for hosting, domain, or a Shopify subscription besides a good internet connection and mobile data to always be on the lookout for news.
Of course, you also want to test the products before offering them, and that’s an extra expense.
Reviewing Shopping Empires
It’s confusing to figure out the actual content from just the course’s sales page. Setting up a store on WooCommerce or Shopify and scaling it with Google Ads is something, but the sales page is quite hyped for it to be just that.
Besides, the price tag is a significant $497, and it’s promised to raise all the way to $997, so it really contradicts the relative simplicity of this course. Given the imminent raise and the positive testimonials, buying it before it increased seemed like the right choice, so I decided to take a look.
The members’ area was another section that seemed confusing, even for someone who’s seen countless courses like me.
This course breaks down into a main section with 12 modules and 22 PDFs complementing them. Surprisingly, there aren’t videos nor audio books on the course, which is admittedly rare in today’s courses.
You just get a bunch of PDFs and feedback documents. Besides, the modules are fairly standard with today’s courses.
They cover the preparations for your store: domain, hosting, planning, etc. It takes you into two modules after that: one on WooCommerce and another one on Shopify for setting up your store on one of the two platforms.
It then goes into website speed and tech stuff before going into product research. You have a module on data feed before the actual Google Shopping Ads module.
I want to make a pause here and state how disappointingly short the Google Ads section is. It’s supposed to be one of the main selling points of this course, yet it provides basic content with a few good (but not enough) insights. It’s fine to get you started, but it’s not a masterclass like it was sold to be.
The rest is management stuff: testing, calculating your actual profits, and scaling your business by hiring virtual assistants.
The first and lass modules were exceptionally short, just a PDF with basic steps or information. It’s really just content you can get for free on YouTube.
Bonuses
The first “bonus” is just access to the private Facebook group, which isn’t really a bonus since it’s offered in all courses, even the lower-end ones. You can also access a public group with over 200 members, and it’s actually quite active and interesting at times.
However, there’s a significant quantity of posts complaining about the reduced profits you get if you stick with Google Shopping and mess up your keywords. It’s logical since Google Shopping is all about precision, and randomly choosing keywords will burn your budget.
The first actual bonus is a strategy for your email marketing and recovering up to 20% of the income you may have lost. Another bonus comes as a cashback tip for AliExpress, but it’s mostly common knowledge. The third bonus is how you can prevent from getting on Google’s Merchant Center’s wrong side. The forth bonus is an extra module about Facebook retargeting, and the last one is access to Karianne’s supplier.
As you can see, there’s quantity but not enough quality. The Facebook group and extra module should be a given in every course. The AliExpress isn’t groundbreaking, and the others are nice, but they don’t offer enough impact to your success.
Final Verdict
Is It Worth It? Final Verdict
The course simply isn’t worth spending $497 despite what the sales pages and testimonials on it may tell you. You can get a much better course for just $297 by heading over to eCom Elites (from her supposed mentor), and receive actual videos instead of PDFs, so that’s another selling point for those who hate reading.

FB Playbook Review
FB Playbook Review (Fred Lam Course)
FB Playbook is a marketing-oriented course by Fred Lam. Today, we’ll go through the content offered and provide you with the knowledge and my opinion so that you can make an informed decision on whether or not you want to sign up.
This course sells as the system used by Fred for building 6-figure online businesses via Facebook Ads marketing. The idea behind the course is to offer a blueprint perfected by Fred for you to “copy and paste” into your business.
Fred uses social media to market the course, and you’re probably here after seeing his ad among all the memes in your feed. At least he seems to put his knowledge into practice.
If you decide to grab the free material (an eBook named “7 Results Facebook Driven Tactics”) he offers in his FB post, you’re sent to Fred’s mailing list. While you do have free value and an interesting read, be aware that you’re agreeing to be part of Fred’s email marketing. He uses the eBook for promoting his other products, including our focus today: the FB Playbook.
Who’s the author?
Fred is an entrepreneur dedicated to eCommerce, mentorship, and online marketing. The meat of his experience is on the latter, and he started as media buyer before building a business with two brands: Starting From Zero and iPro Academy.
He isn’t a nobody. His YouTube channel has a modest following of more than 80,000 subscribers, but he did start his channel way back in 2011. His content is quite varied: business tips, strategies, dropshipping, and both affiliate and social media marketing.
It isn’t rare for him to release courses and other products, and he has several training programs focused on how to make money online. He’s covered several platforms like ClickBank, JVZoo, and even Warrior Forum.
Fred is a strong supporter of email marketing, and you’ve probably noticed it from his eBook I just mentioned. That’s not an isolated instance, he’s always offering similar products for free or at discounts in exchange of your email. He then uses it to offer more expensive upsells.
Reviewing No Bullshit Road to Remote Work
The course at hand aims towards internet entrepreneurs interested in using Facebook as a traffic source. That doesn’t depend on any business model, but you should already have one up and running if you want to take this course. It can be anything from eCommerce to affiliate marketing and even local companies.
I bought the price months ago for $7, seemingly discounted from $297 due to holidays. I hadn’t gotten around to it because of other courses that were more popular at the moment, but keep in mind that it was the price not long after launching, so it might be priced the same right now.
The content itself spreads over 7 modules covering different aspects of creating and managing a Facebook Ads campaign.
Launchpad
The course starts off by teaching you the fundamentals before launching ads for your different products or services. It’s not an intro to FB Ads, but it asks you to check if you have all necessary pages, accounts, and the like.
I have to give props to Fred for starting off right into the point. Welcome, mindset, and basics modules always feel like filler when they’re supposed to be for advanced entrepreneurs.
Marketing strategies
Module 2 goes into 3 strategies you can turn to for your ads. You learn about the different types of ads and which objectives you should follow to improve results.
Fred touches on the 3×3 method, and if you grabbed an eBook from him or watched his YouTube videos, you’ll be familiar with this approach.
Sniper targeting
This is all about targeting your ads effectively. You’ll learn how to determine the right audience and market your offers to them for improved conversion chances.
It touches on how you can figure out your target audience and what it’s looking for or what they need so that you can sell to them without too much effort.
Template
Module 4 gives you a template you can use from what Fred determines as an optimal ad. It includes post copy, what goes into the video ad, the correct layout, etc.
The idea behind this is for you to combine it with his 3×3 method for a successful campaign.
Inspecting data
Here, you learn how you should analyze the data generated from your ads. This allows you to keep track of their performance and ensure you’re not wasting your money.
Fred tells you which data points you should keep an eye on, and how you can identify failing campaigns. You then learn how to tweak them and make them work properly.
Basically, it’s a module on when you should scale or kill your ads.
Scaling
Module 6 goes into scaling your successful ads. You learn why, when, and how you do it.
Besides the basics, Fred gives you a few steps you want to take if you want a proper and safe scaling process. The idea is to keep you from messing up and making your previously successful ad fail after spending more money.
Advanced strategies
The last module is for, according to Fred, COMPLETE PROS. This module aims solely for people with the right confidence and, of course, budget. It’s also for those who already have successful ads after applying the previous knowledge.
Basically, you’ll learn about targeting lookalike audiences. There are other strategies, but I’ll just use Fred’s words again: they’re too hard for beginners to understand.
Final Verdict
Basically, the FB Playbook is a brief course that gives you an overview of how you should run an ad campaign on the platform. However, once you get to the content itself, you’ll realize it’s actually just about the basics of running a campaign; the key pointers to follow and how to navigate through it.
Don’t think this strategy is the only way to succeed with Facebook Ads, either, even though Fred is certainly a recognized online marketer. His success doesn’t mean you can replicate it by following his exact steps; it’s also not the optimal approach for your own campaigns.
Not all methods work for all niches, so you want to learn different marketing strategies so that you can pick the one that works best for what you offer. All methods require testing, and if you buy a course on a single strategy, and it fails, you’re left with nothing.
Despite how he talks as if the course is for professionals, the content is too basic, and only complete beginners will benefit from the content offered here. As is, it’s definitely worth the $7 I paid for it, perhaps up to $10. However, I’ll definitely recommend you stay away from it if you find it priced at $297.
He also keeps trying to upsell you more expensive courses like the iPro Academy. Even if you signed up for this course directly, you’re still added into his mailing list, so expect routine emails with discounts and links. In a way, this course feels like another way to get you to opt into his mailing list.
If you’re an impulsive buyer, this can be dangerous. The products might seem cheap at first, but they’ll quickly become a significant investment if you keep buying them, especially if they follow the same amount of content included in his FB Playbook.
Better Alternative
With that in mind, don’t forget that Facebook marketing is one of the most effective methods. The problem here is just how he offers a single strategy.
As I said, if you buy a course with a single approach, you’re going to be left stranded if that fails. Because of that, the more you can get, the better.
That’s why I always recommend Franklin Hatchett’s courses: eCom Elites and Savage Affiliates. Both focus on different industries. They’re both $197-297, and they both offer countless strategies on dozens of methods.

Next Gen eCom is Tanner Planes’ second eCommerce course, and builds on his first course, Zero To One Thousand, which you can still purchase. Our topic at hand costs $497, but is the content really worth the asking price?
Today, we’re going to find out whether or not this is among the best courses today or if you can find a better alternative.
The course markets as a steps training with blueprints on the different strategies used by Tanner and his apprentices on their stores. Due to that, the course is mostly a recommendation of different strategies and apps.
Who’s the author?
Tanner Planes is a young entrepreneur from the US, who’s barely 17 years old. He found success in eCommerce, and he’s built on it by opening a YouTube channel to share content with his audience. This channel focuses around online business, with an emphasis on eCommerce.
Tanner started with the Vine platform and affiliate marketing. After Vine closed, Tanner moved on to Instagram, where he did the same as in Vine.
However, he started building stores in 2017, and he used his YouTube channel to document the progress. His channel is quite big, nearing to the 90,000 subscribers mark, and his content is your standard tutorials, how to’s, recommendations, and different strategies to specific goals.
Tanner’s Instagram is also quite big, with well over 50,000 followers. He uses this platform as more of a personal account; he updates his followers on his business life.
About Next Gen eCom
Next Gen eCom is a 15-module program covering the fundamentals of building and growing an online store, and it also provides more advanced methods for marketing your business.
The course is available on Teachables, where you can both buy and access the content at your leisure. You can watch all the videos on high quality in any device, and it’s a very responsive streaming-only platform.
Reviewing Next Gen eCom
Each section focuses on a single topic related to running an eCommerce venture. Modules contain different videos explaining the topic mentioned in the title, and the average is between 3 and 6 lessons.
There are also extra slideshows for each section for viewing the same content as text. Some of you might not use it, but it’s a nice addition.
Mindset
It’s just your intro with 2 videos: a 57-second intro to the program and 18 seconds on how to enter the private group.
Dropshipping basics
The next module is 3 videos, and it explains what dropshipping is. Most of you already know this, though.
However, it has interesting insight on automating orders and a store’s framework.
Product research
The 3rd module introduces you to researching products and niches.
You learn the differences between niche and general stores to know which one you should start. After that, you learn how to research your products with influencers, FB Ads, and other Shopify stores.
Images and descriptions
Next up, it teaches you about the importance of collections and how you add your items to your store.
There’s a 2nd video on how you want your descriptions to look and how to imitate that sample into your offers.
Recommended apps
Tanner introduces you to the Shopify apps used by him and his students for increasing conversions and collecting data from customers.
You get 4 apps here, ranging from Bold Upsell to Trust Badges. You also learn why you want to integrate them and what they do.
Backend
This module aims to set your sales on autopilot, reducing the required time and effort you need to put. It starts off with email marketing and what dropshippers usually do wrong with it.
He also recommends Klaviyo for improving your conversions before explaining the email types you should use. He and Parek Basnet recommend welcomes, abandoned cart, and purchase emails.
It also touches on segmenting and manual campaigns.
Branding
The 7th module talks about branding your store before launching, and it touches on setting up a good logo and creating different social platforms.
There’s a video on how to add posts and work on your engagement to boost trust and another one on design optimization.
Launch checklist
Module 8 talks about how to create your FB Business Manager and integrate your Facebook pixel on your site.
There’s a 2nd video on determining what’s better to launch your store: IG influencers or FB Ads. It also goes through the relevant factors when deciding. You’ll use that choice to go with one of the 2 following modules.
Launching: IG influencers
This module goes into the 1st strategy: Instagram influencers.
It covers how to create ad copy to increase conversion, finding profitable influencers, and how to reach them and negotiate after spotting them.
Launching: FB Ads
Dennis White and Noah Brewer make appearances explaining the 2nd approach to launching your store.
You learn about the right mindset and rules when researching and testing products. You learn how to spot best-sellers with Facebook (an extension of what was covered in the 3rd module) and create campaigns for testing your products before analyzing your results.
Scaling
The 11th module dives into how to scale your store after you start making profits.
You’re introduced to standard methods like using lookalike audiences and a few strategy examples. Retargeting and custom audiences are also covered. It explains what’s retargeting and different post types and time frames.
It closes with tips on getting creative with your lookalikes.
Facebook marketing and researching products in 2019
This is an updated module to add more updates strategies on the topics mentioned in this title. You have 2 product research methods called pioneer and stalking.
There are also videos comparing images against videos, how to know your budget, guidelines to identify profitable products, CBO campaigns, and bigger budgets.
eCommerce “Mastery”
This module is covered by a young dropshipper named Hayden Bowles. You can also find him on YouTube discussing similar topics to Tanner.
Unfortunately, this video is mostly a case study of Hayden; it’s not a useless module, but the title is definitely misleading.
You’re introduced to him before taking a look at his business approach. You learn how he runs his businesses and researches and tests products. You also see his marketing approach.
Non-traditional marketing
This is a fairly interesting module on marketing strategies you rarely see. It’s given by Matt Faber.
There’s a strategy called the 3×3 grid, Vyper Giveaways, and coupling these with retargeting for catching more customers. There’s a final video about using chat bots for automating customer service and how it helps your marketing.
Maintenance and automation
The last main module explains the necessary steps to cultivate a long-term profitable business.
You learn about automating some tasks and outsourcing others so that you can get more free time to focus on other things. It explains what you need from a VA and which steps you should follow to integrate them into your venture.
The last couple of lessons cover how to keep your engagement active to get repeated sales and how to handle your success.
FAQ
There’s somewhat of a bonus section providing video answers to some of the most common questions Tanner gets, and it’s pretty interest.
You learn what to do if:
Influencers don’t post ads.
You’re declined by merchant processors.
You get visits and not sales.
You’re receiving returns.
Suppliers run out of stock.
You don’t know if you want to go with IG influencers or FB ads.
You want to get better prices from your supplier.
You’re not getting enough conversions.
You have trouble finding influencers.

Is It Worth It? Final Verdict
This course is definitely an upgrade to his previous course. You get more content, and it explains 2 different strategies to get more customers, so it’s definitely more detailed than his previous class.
However, it’s still an inferior product to other courses available, and it’s more expensive.
For example, Franklin Hatchett’s eCom Elites offers more than 200 different videos, which is a lot more than you’re getting here, and it’s just $197. You also learn about more strategies like Google Ads and SEO, plus rarely covered platforms like Snapchat and LinkedIn.
Besides, it provides more extensive content on the same strategies already provided here. The Faebook and Instagram content offers around 50 videos for each platform.
The course is also updated frequently, so it’s always relevant to current market environment and trends. If that’s not enough, you get to save $300 for your theme and marketing investment.

eCommerce Scaling Secrets is a course by Alex Fedotoff; it aims at teaching you how to increase the sales of your eCommerce using a funnel strategy based on “competition proof”, a concept used by the author.
If you’re planning to buy this course, you’re definitely wondering if it’s worth its asking price and whether it’s actually the guide to online success. Those are the doubts you’ll solve with my review of the course’s author, contents, and final verdict.
The course builds on the premise that sales funnels are necessary for success instead of just an online store. Alex maintains that this the reason for the lack of success of many dropshippers.
The first thing I noticed is that, when you sign up to Alex’s free case study used as promotion for this course, you’ll go straight into a sales funnel. It’s definitely an amusing sight after going through this course.
It’s the regular process: you sign up for free value, and you start receiving Alex’s emails promoting this course and telling you how you can sign up.
Who’s the author?
Alex is an entrepreneur, course creator, and YouTuber. His main success has been with social media marketing, mostly Facebook Ads. Off that success, he founded AF Agency, and he uses it as a brand for creating content and training programs and selling them as a package.
He has a personal description on his website, and he claims to be the Facebook Ads scaling king. His bio states he knows the steps to convert dead traffic into clients who repeatedly buy your products, which seems to be a skill almost no one has.
You can find Alex on YouTube, and his content focuses on eCommerce, specifically dropshipping. His channel is quite small, just below 6,000 subscribers, and most of his videos only get a few hundred views.
About eCommerce Scaling Secrets
The course stays loyal to its content, and if you want to access it, you have to join his sales funnel. You can also notice how Alex’s videos on YouTube tend to direct you towards his site, which also sports a squeeze page that gets people to provide their email address.
If you do so, you receive a video on Alex’s predictions and insight. He says that both traditional dropshipping and Amazon’s FBA are dying, and if you want to make money, you need to go into new marketing methods like using funnels and scaling them.
Alex says you need to prepare your traffic for buying, but he fails to notice that funnels aren’t a new concept, but one that’s been used forever and given a new name so that marketers actually know how to implement them consciously.
The video itself doesn’t really offer any content you can put into practice. It’s mostly promotional to get you seeing sales funnels as the only strategy that works in eCommerce (and thus buy his course).
The case study exposes Alex’s marketing service, yet there’s little about how the service really works.
Also, right before leaving the case study, Alex invites you to book a call with him. I didn’t do that, but I’m sure that’s just for him to introduce you to the additional coaching he offers. It’s quite an aggressive marketing strategy, and it does feel like too much after you’re done with everything.
Anyways, the price for the course itself varies depending on the access level you want. The course can be $297, but if you want mentorship, it can quickly scale to over $1,000.
Reviewing eCommerce Scaling Secrets
Signing up for the course nets you 5 modules plus bonus sections and extra training. The main body of the program starts out telling you how to set up a business plan with strategies and objectives.
It then goes into how to setup your store and funnels before explaining how to conduct product research and sourcing them.
It has a Facebook Ads section, which is the only traffic generating strategy explained in the course.
I have to clarify that Facebook Ads is definitely something you should implement, but you need money to operate it. That’s an added cost to the course’s price, and the course doesn’t go into any free marketing approach.
Building on that issue, it’s also a problem that Alex ignores many other strategies. He specializes in Facebook, but it’s not the only way to generate traffic. For the price, you could at least get some SEO information, and even if Alex doesn’t really know about this approach, some courses have guest teachers, so he could’ve done the same here to provide more value.
After the Facebook Ads section, you learn how to fulfill your orders using Dropified, and the final module is the bonus training.
In said bonus training, you have more content on Facebook Ads, including how to scale your marketing after seeing success with your ads. You also get some recommendations from Alex on how to improve your ads and sales funnels. The last module is some relatively advanced insight into the Facebook Ads client.
There’s a module right before the end with some advice on how to scale your store into 7 figures, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
Final Verdict
Is It Worth It? Final Verdict
Basically, eCommerce Scaling Secrets is about building your store on Shopify, using Facebook Ads to get customers, and sending them to a sales funnels. It’s certainly a good strategy, but it’s neither the only nor the best way to acquire customers.
Firstly, if you invest in the course, ads, and subscriptions to the funnels tool, you’ll invest a significant amount. It’ll take you more than a couple sales to make up that spending. Besides, the content here isn’t really unique. Many other courses offer similar content for less.
For $197, you can get the same content with more depth and insight by buying eCom Elites by Franklin Hatchett. Not only that, but you’ll also learn about many more marketing strategies like Google and Instagram Ads, email marketing, SEO, and even chat bots.

eComAlphas Review
eComAlphas Review (Sebastian Ghiorghiu Course)
eComAlphas is a course by Sebastian Ghiorghiu in collaboration with Matthew Bolis. It sells as the most valuable course in “literal history”. I just love that statement, but we still have to run the test to see if it’s true.
I’ll go through the content in each module so that you can decide whether or not it’s worth the $797 it’s asking.
eComAlphas strives to provide you all the steps necessary to start and run your dropshipping business: from setting up your store to social media marketing. As usual, you’re learning from people with actual field experience. Specifically, you learn the marketing side from Matthew and the business side from Sebastian.
Who’s the author?
Sebastian is one of the many young entrepreneurs online today, and if you know him, it’s probably from his YouTube. He has a following of more than 120,000 subscribers. It’s more than impressive for someone who’s about (or almost) 21.
His content is your standard eCommerce content: strategies and tutorials.
He calms himself a Shopify influencer on YouTube, and it seems to be quite true. He also references his story quite often; he says he’s a college and Taco Bell dropout. Dropshipping allowed him to make all the money he needs through several stores.
He’s not new to the dropshipping course industry, as he’s also the author of the Dropshipping Crash Course and others.
On the other hand, Matthew Bolis isn’t as famous as Sebastian. He says he started out in the Instagram influencer marketing industry when he was barely 14 years old and has been able to grow several accounts to millions of followers. He’s built a media agency named Bolis Media off of this success.
Strangely, you can find his personal account @mybadmatthew. If you take a look at it, he has less than 20,000 followers. Add that to a lesson on how to get 10,000 fake followers for just $10 even though Instagram is killing marketing with bot accounts, and you can see how his real expertise can be questioned (harshly).
Reviewing eComAlphas
The course splits into 10 topics covered over 10 weekly modules. That means that you need to wait a week for every new module even if you watch the entire content in a few days.
The course hosts on Teachables, and you can pay and access the course’s content through it. Teachables is great for beginners as well. It’s easy to understand, and you’ll never get lost while using it. It also has great quality videos and it’s responsive on all devices.
Introduction
The first week is just four videos, and you first learn what’s included in this course and how you can apply what you learn.
The other 2 videos are about the stories and experiences from both authors. It’s a good motivational video even though it’s nothing really valuable.
The last video is just about your mindset and how you should adapt it to running a dropshipping business if you want success.
Even if you watch 1 video each day, you still have to wait 3 more days before actually learning something.
Product research
Week 2 dives into how to find products for your stores, and you get 8 videos on the matter.
It covers how you can use Facebook for finding selling products, Twitter and AliExpress for trending products, and what software lets you automate this task.
Other videos talk about season trends and which products are good every year before closing with how to research your competitors on each product and niche to find out their daily income.
Advertising
This week is about why ads are important and how to set them up for yourself. You also learn about things you should and shouldn’t do, which is an interesting lesson.
You also have videos about why custom content is important. This means using your own pictures and editing them properly. After that, you’re given a breakdown of what an ad actually is and which factors make it successful; with this, you get to see the ideal picture and video ads.
The last video is about what you can di in case you lack any custom content you can use on your ads.
Building and optimizing your store
The 4th week teaches you how to build your first Shopify store and how to optimize it to get more conversions.
You learn the different approaches you can take when making a dropshipping store. You can create a niche store focused on specific products, a general store selling several categories, and building your brand from zero.
After that, it goes into how to actually build your store: creating accounts, integrating themes, and recommended apps. You also learn about some strategies you can implement like adding filler products as well as upsells, studying your competitors to see which product pages you can add, and how to optimize your product pages.
You finally learn how to get your logo and implementing it as well as how to ensure your store navigates well and provides the best user experience.
Instagram marketing
Matthew goes into Instagram marketing, and you learn both the basics and some advanced tips.
First, you learn why you should use the platform. It then goes to the infamous fake followers section before telling you the difference between advertising on the feed and stories, along with what you should pay.
He then goes into how to negotiate with IG influencers and paying them, and he then goes back into your ads, with how to create them for both the feed and stories. You learn how to optimize and troubleshoot your ads, and finally how to find influencers with CloutHQ.
The content isn’t really bad, but it’s structured awkwardly.
Facebook fundamentals
Week 6 gives you the basics of Facebook, and lessons include the Spider Web approach, break-even points, and assigning budgets.
Facebook marketing
This is the actual module about advertising on Facebook.
It goes into how to set up your account and pixel as well as organizing your adset and columns. Other videos cover how to read the data from your ads, the 2 stages of scaling ads, and how to use lookalike audiences.
Case study
The 8th week is just 2 videos showing you Matt’s store. He focuses on gaming as a niche, and his products are related to Fortnite.
You can see how he set up the store as per the recommendations given in previous modules, so at least you’re getting a good look at how yours should look.
Appealing to AliExpress
OK, this module is actually called “Automation, Branding, and Team Building”. However, you get just 1 video and it has absolutely nothing to do with those 3 concepts.
Instead, it explains how you can appeal to AliExpress if your account ever gets blocked. In fact, I’ll phrase it just like Sebastian does: WHEN you get blocked.
It’s an interesting approach, and I think most would’ve preferred a section on how not to get yourself blocked. Other than that, it doesn’t cover what its name suggests, and it’s sad since it’s a paramount topic for an eCommerce.
Bonuses
The final module is just a template for spent sheets and another one for contacting influencers. Sebastian then asks you to post a review so that he can improve the course.
Final Verdict
Is It Worth It? Final Verdict
While the course follows a great idea (having several specialists explain their respective topics), the course falls flat when trying to provide useful content and depth. It has a good grasp on the fundamentals, but it fails to deliver any advanced advice you can’t find for free on YouTube.
Besides, I find it strange that he asks for a review since he clearly doesn’t really mind them. He hasn’t updates his other courses, and the 9th week here clearly hasn’t been updates since the course released.
For the price, I’d recommend you get Franklin Hatchett’s eCom Elites. It’s $600 less, and you get several times the amount of content offered in this course, with a lot more depth, marketing methods, and value overall.

eCom X University Review
eCom X University Review (Moonis Ali Course)
Alright, today, we’re going to review a course by a guy that’s, by far, my new favorite dropshipping guru on the internet: Moonis Ali. If you haven’t, please stop everything and go see his rapping video promoting his course.
The course is priced at $115 (converted from its price in Indian Rupees), which is definitely one of the cheaper courses we’ve reviewed here.
We’ll go into the content to see if it’s actually worth paying that price, but I’ll give you my immediate yes if he included a tutorial on how to create a rapping music video to promote your store.
I’m adding extra points to his rapping video because he didn’t really show off any super cars on it, instead opting for a guy using a bucket for a hat, which convinced me to buy this course.
Who’s the author?
Now, sorry to burst your bubble, but Moonis isn’t a rap god with eCom on the side. He’s an Indian dropshippers who started out by attending to a Gaurav Madaan’s class, who’s a famous marketer from India.
After that, he decided to pour all of his money into this business, and he claims he’s made millions in the business. That’s dollars, by the way.
The sales page shows a few Shopify screenshots, with $144,000 generated on his best-performing month. While it’s not bad, remember that’s just revenue, not the actual profits.
Luckily, Moonis does state that you need to invest money if you want success. He even gives a great tip that I think everyone should imitate: get a job to fund your business and work on your eCommerce during your free time.
Reviewing eCom X University
This course promises to help you get a product that won’t fail you. That’s a fairly extreme statement, and you can be sure anyone with the knowledge of such a surefire solution would never reveal it and risk the millions he could be making from it.
Still, this is just the start. There’s still chance for redemption with the actual content (and possibility of a rapping video tutorial).
You learn about Facebook targeting right away, but it’s not really a solid section. It mostly covers the basics, but you want to have a full grasp of the platform, especially if you’re buying a Facebook-centered course like this one.
He has a nice tip on how to get back your account if it gets closed down by Facebook, and it has a nice Shopify setup section that complete beginners will appreciate. He also tells you the best countries to target, including Canada, the US, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia.
That’s pretty much it for the pros and the cons as well. But it’s OK, I’ll keep you posted on that rapping video stuff when he decides to update the course.
Final Verdict
As you can see, it’s pretty much a course on the basics of how to set up a dropshipping venture. It covers product research, creating your store, basic ads, and how to scale when you see success.
If that’s all you want, then you might as well go ahead and buy the course. It’s cheap, after all.
Just keep in mind that you’ll be missing depth on Facebook Ads as well as lessons on Instagram, influencers, YouTube, Google, email marketing, content marketing, SEO, and some rarer additions like Pinterest, LinkedIn and even Snapchat.
Not just that, but you’re just $82 from my favorite eCommerce course, which offers all of that.
Is It Worth It? Final Verdict
If you can raise those $82, then you should definitely wait until you do and get yourself eCom Elites. It’s by far the most comprehensive course you can get right now, and the best one I’ve seen in a good while.
It comes from a prominent figure and winner of the 2-Comma Club: Franklin Hatchett.
However, I know names aren’t enough, and that’s why I mentioned all the things you wanted from a course. Well, eCom Elites offers content on all those marketing approaches I mentioned in the last section, and with over 200 videos as of this article’s writing, it completely blows most courses out of the water, both cheaper and the most expensive ones.

Dropshipping Crash Course Review (Sebastian Ghorghiu Course)
Today, we’ll go through Sebastian’s Dropshipping Crash Course and let you know if it really is the course that will take you to your eCommerce success. At $594, it’s not the most expensive option available, but it’s definitely not the cheapest, and it’s still a significant investment.
Does the content meet its price? Let’s find out.
About Dropshipping Crash Course
The Dropshipping Crash Course comes from the mind of Sebastian Ghorghiu. It aims to teach you the all the steps needed to build a successful dropshipping business through its 8 modules.
However, many courses claim a lot and offer little, so make sure to read on to find out if this course is just another subpar product or not.
Target Audience
This course is targeted mainly towards general people wanting to start their dropshipping venture. It’s best suited for beginners with absolutely zero knowledge about the business model, but it still means they need to have $594 they can invest without it having ill effects on their comfort.
People with basic or more advanced experience or knowledge will learn nothing from it.
Who’s the author?
Sebastian Ghorghiu is a young entrepreneur, with just 19 years old. He has his own YouTube channel, and he also claims to have almost 2 years’ worth of experience in the dropshipping industry. He also says he has several other businesses, and he’s also clearly and affiliate marketer from his content and video descriptions.
His Teachables profile also mentions he has the life goal of earning up to $10 million in real estate, so at least he seems to be somewhat ambitious, I guess.
His YouTube channel is your regular dropshipping and eCommerce focused space, with all the clickbait on his titles and countless talks and “evidence” on the luxuries he’s been able to afford thanks to dropshipping.
If you’re new to the environment, you might be surprised or convinced by those claims, but do note that these types of claims and “proof” is actually the norm among these content creators.
Reviewing Dropship Simplified
While $594 is definitely not among the most expensive prices for this type of course, it’s still a high price and a considerable investment, and there are many courses going for less than that.
You can access the content through Teachables, a famous platform focused on hosting and selling online courses in all topics. After you purchase the course through the site, you only need to log in and look at all the modules and videos inside each one.
There are 8 different modules, this time called “weeks”. Each week covers a different topic, and you have a few bonuses as well.
Week 1
The first week comes with 5 videos. They aren’t really good, but one video specifically raised my suspicions: Sebastian mentions he made $600 on his first day dropshipping (in the third video). And that’s virtually impossible.
Remember you have to find a successful niche (requires testing), find a good product (more testing), and running a successful ads campaign that will caught enough attention for you to actually get sales (again, testing). Besides, Facebook ads don’t optimize in the first 24 hours.
Finally, generating $600 doesn’t mean making $600. You need to invest money on marketing, your Shopify plan, other plugins, etc. In fact, dropshipping profits average a 20% of your revenue, so he couldn’t make more than $150, especially with the how much you need to invest in ads to achieve $600 in a day.
Anyways, you also have a motivational video and a general explanation of his strategy.
Week 2
The second module somehow explains the pillar of dropshipping in 2 brief videos. Dropshipping is nothing without products, so you definitely can’t spend less than 30 minutes explaining how to find products, what to look for, etc. This module doesn’t even cover half that time.
There’s barely any content here. He just tells you to look on AliExpress and the social media trinity (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), which is stuff you can find (with more detail) on YouTube.
Huge red flag here as well: Sebastian advises you to start out your business selling branded products, and that’s definitely not the best idea.
Why’s that? Well, “it’s as illegal as it gets” is a good answer.
It’s just a surefire way to kill your business (and maybe even a significant part of your life goals that don’t include spending time in prison). An illegal business is definitely not a viable long-term venture.
It also tells you to look for products based around either passions or solving problems. Think about sports, health, or fitness. Sure, it’s a good tip, but it’s basic knowledge.
Week 3
The first video on the “niches” module goes into which niches are the most profitable according to Sebastian. However, that’s always something you shouldn’t really take as true because no one wanting to squeeze as much money out of his favorite niche as possible wouldn’t let it saturate with new people.
Even if he did giveaway his best niches, they’re probably overstuffed now with the people who accessed this course.
The rest of the module expands on the topic with some tips and recommendations, but it sticks to the course’s approach of offering content you can find for free online. You have videos on how to price your items and writing their descriptions, adding comments, and importing.
Week 4
This module is all about generating and sending traffic towards your store to turn these numbers into sales. It starts out by summarizing how Instagram marketing works, just like other YouTube videos do.
The next videos go into false followers and taste. Again, Sebastian goes down the less ethical road to build a business. Besides being dishonest, why would you spend time creating fake follows when you need real people to buy your stuff? Will you get your robot accounts a job so they can purchase from you?
There’s also a video on how to avoid oversaturated niches. Yes, it’s right after the module in which he gave away his niches to all of his students.
It closes with 2 videos on ad creation, which at least provides a little more insight from Sebastian himself. He gives you an overview of his business, explaining why it does good. Sadly, there’s no way to find out whether or not he’s telling the truth, which is a waste since this is an actually interesting video.
Week 5
There are 10 videos in the central module, which goes for a bit longer than an hour.
It starts out by how to find the product that will blow your business, but it’s just a rescript of his lesson on finding a niche. The next video then tells you how to import products and write your descriptions, and you’re not confused, he did cover that already.
The module also talks about building your store and which applications you should add, as well as your FB pixel. It’s good content for newcomers, but remember you’re paying $600.
The rest of the module follows the approach of repeating information from previous modules.
Week 6
This is all about Instagram and how you can get organic traffic for free and increase your followers, bots out of the way, it seems.
The objective in this module is to get your Instagram followers to generate the sales for you without needing Influencers or FB Ads. It’s a good idea on paper, but it requires a lot of work to convince them to buy your stuff. People don’t use Instagram to look through dropshipping catalogues.
Also, remember that Instagram has gone fierce against bot-like accounts, and organic traffic is becoming harder to get.
Week 7
This module goes into how to set up a FB Ads account and using it. It lacks a lot of content, including targeting.
FB Ads is one of the most important channels right now, and this module won’t let you exploit the platform at all. You’re just getting (again) content that’s 100% free on YouTube, and Sebastian focuses solely on setting up, not actually applying any method.
Week 8
The last week talks about Twitter marketing, and it’s a weird inclusion since not many people use it, and most courses skip this approach.
Sadly, it doesn’t exploit this unique feature and just dedicates 2 videos to Twitter marketing. There’s no detail, like the rest of the course, so there’s not much to say about it.
Bonuses
You get some templates for contacting influencers and scaling on Instagram plus a checklist for launch. There’s nothing special here, and they’re poor quality, so don’t expect a lot.

As you might see, I can’t recommend this course. You’ll only get some value if you’re a 100% beginner who’s never heard about dropshipping before.
To make things worse, Franklin Hatchett’s eCom Elites goes for just $197, and it offers like 6 or 7 times the content offered here.
