Hoover/sweep first.

Flash bathroom for bath, tiles and sink (can use cif on bathtub), can use just ecloth on tiles if they’re already clean. Use cilit bang/limelite/viakal on taps, even harpic imescale remover if bad build up.

Leave it for a while to work.

Wet microfibre cloth (or use a general e cloth for tiles) and then work on tiles

Rinse cltoh then work on bath (or use cif and non scratch scourer). use tooth brush on taps.

Rinse cloth then work on sink. use tooth brush on taps.

Rinse bath and sink with water.

Use a dry microfibre cloth and buff dry tiles, then sink then bath.

Use some dilute flash in a bucket of hot water.. take the cloth you've just used to buff dry, dip it in the flash (wear gloves). Wash the top and body of the toilet including flush handle.. rinse back in bucket and wash the outside of the bowl including the back of the toilet and the outlet pipe. Rinse in bucket and wash lid, seat on top and underneath and then rim. Take a loo brush and push the water around the U bend. Use a limescale gel and squirter under the rim and in where the water was. Leave for half an hour and go back and scrub under rim and dark bits. Then flush chain and while it's flushing do under the rim again and scrub bottom. Dry off whole toilet to a buff with dry cloth. Before you go to bed plonk a couple of denture tablets in the toilet. Next day repeat the middle clean with the gel until limescale is gone.

Vinegar for mirror with non scratch scourer, then dry with newspaper/cloth. or maybe ecloth for mirrors?

Wash the cloths with disinfectant.

I used to do hotel bathrooms. The outgoing towels were used at the end of a clean to dry stuff. I had rubber gloves, squirty bathroom cleaner (I like flash because it smells nice) and a big bottle of bleach. Replace loo roll as needed, collect all rubbish and change bin bag, take everything off bath sides, sink and shower. Fill the sink with hot water. Squirt bleach under loo rim. Squirt plenty of flash all over everything. Use cloth 1 in hot water to clean bath and shower. Dry immediately with old towel. Use an old toothbrush round taps/edges as needed. More drying. Clean glass with glass cleaner and more drying. Wash the outsides of bottles in sink with cloth. Dry. Replace. Empty sink, squirt, clean with cloth. Dry sink. Squirt loo surfaces, clean with cloth and then dry. Bundle cloth up with towels for a boil wash. Use loo brush to scrub loo. Anything fabric gets dunked in zoflora for an hour (e.g. bottom of shower curtain).

Eco-cleaning

I like our house to be nice and shiny, clean and free of mess, also I like other houses to be clean as well, which is kind of what I am doing as a part time job. I am a part time cleaner, which means, I like cleaning process to be easy but still efficient.

As I was getting older I started to think and cary more for the environment, that I used to before. I am appreciating the beauty of our nature and want to protect it and preserve it for next generations. Considering all what I wanted from cleaning and how I wanted to do my cleaning I was on a mission to find my perfect combo of products, which will make me happy, my employers happy and also Earth happy.

I think I’ve got it, I do have few of my very very very favourite products, which I am now using all the time.

Let’s get started :)

My 3 cleaning heroes :

The most important thing for me and what I would recommend for you to get is ECO-CLOTH (I am using E-cloth, but I am sure, there are other makes available).

Don’t be shy and go big, buy yourself few of them, you will not regret this purchase. Price is a little bit higher, than usual price for cleaning cloth, but on the other hand, this cloths will save you a lot of money in the future and by using them will reduce your household waste (cleaning waste). You wont need to use any wet wipes, or paper towels at all. They are very environmental friendly.

Eco cloths contain some magical microfibres, which can wipe off bacterias and other mess, from almost all the surfaces in house, what means, you don't need to use any other products with it.

They are really must have, when you want to do an eco-cleaning. I have been given some by my friend, more than year ago and I did purchase more since then, so I can use them all the time and still have some available in between washes. I love, that they are coming in different colors, you can use different colors for different places in your house. For example I am using yellow for toilet, blue for sinks and baths and green for windows and mirrors. I also have some more fluffy ones, which are great for dusting and polishing (shiny surfaces, like staines steel).

All what you need is cloth and warm water and you are good to go.

However, sometimes, you may find yourself in situation, when you need some extra cleaning power. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I am introducing you an amazing, brilliant product : Method antibacterial all purpose cleaner with a Wild Rhubarb scent. That smell, o my god, it is incredible. I think I’ve seen it somewhere on youtube and it did look good, so I bought one for myself and I instantly fell in love with it. Mostly, because of smell :D but also, you can use it for everything, multifunctional spray for whole house and guess what??? It is ECO, yeeeey.

Bottle is bigger, than usual antibacterial sprays (828ml), it will definitely last you much longer, and thanks to eco cloth, you don’t have to use it very often, it is gentle to your purse and gentle to environment. This is win-win situation. I gave one to my friend and she is using it as an air freshener, just be creative, be yourself :) I do own Method multi surface cleaner in Lavender as well, I am trying to alternate them, but Rhubarb is still my favourite.

Third think, which you should consider is washing up liquid. With this one, I don’t have any favourite one. I found all the eco ones are pretty similar, I will always go for the cheapest one (from eco selection).

Washing up liquid is great for greasy sinks, cleaning all types of floors, cleaning baths and toilets (inside).

There is a huge range of eco household products available, but I found these tree to be my very favourite. It is cheap, easy and I am not producing almost any waste (just empty plastic bottles, not very often ).

If you are environmental friendly and you do care, not just for earth, animals but also if you do care for your well being, just give them a try and perhaps you will find your favourite ones, maybe it will be the same combination as mine, you never know, until you try.
