In this galar-ajacent region, there’s a group of bandits (the eeveelutions) who are stealing all the evolution stones they can get their hands on. Two teams (Cherry+Bania and Ringo+Shio) end up joining their respective guilds after reaching out for help finding a dawn stone, only to discover that the guilds were desperate for their help too...

This is more a question @OP than anything. What Pokemon do you think the characters would have?

For reference I haven't played anything past uhhhh Sun and Moon and it's been a while.

I'm also not a good Pokemon player so if the teams I give these people seem bad then plz blame me not them I'm sure most of these guys are competent Pokemasters sobs

Stronghart

Mael Stronghart I can see being a pretty high-up gym leader, if not a member of the elite four (idk about his being the Champion since he'd also be the secret Giovanni of this country) so he'd have very strong Pokemon and likely a full team just to make it unfair. might be skewed towards fairy with his unicorn motif. also mostly restricted to Pokemon in Galar region because of cultural posturing.

Gregson I can see being a bonus boss, he's not a gym leader or anything he's just got a really strong team (if small) and you never see it. But they're all kinda plain pokemon, except Mr. Rime whom I have chosen because he has a mustache

Dr. Sithe is probably gym leader material, one of the stronger ones but that means she has to be more specialized, I'm thinking Ghost type for obvious reasons (Seviper is because of her snake motif.) Her Pokemon are very difficult to defeat because of her strategizing moreso than their strength, probably.

Klint is not an antagonist so would he be a protagonist? a rival? he can have 5 pokemon that increase their levels as you go through the game before he dies and you adopt his pokemon is that a thing.

As a bonus I consider Barok being mostly specialized to dark pokemon so he wouldn't use Klint's pokemon in battle (and Houndoom dies with him,) but maybe he'd keep them after his death just on the estate.
