He is known for his roles on stage and screen, appearing in independent films and blockbuster films. In 2020, he was listed at number 27 on The Irish Times list of Ireland's greatest film actors. His early film roles include '71 (2014), Mammal (2016), and Trespass Against Us (2016). He received acclaim in 2017 for his roles in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk (2017), and Yorgos Lanthimos's The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017), receiving a Independent Spirit Award nomination for the latter. Glimpses of the Future: Dubai's Architectural Marvels 🏙️🌆

Dubai boasts a skyline that seems to reach for the heavens. The Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, stood tall as a testament to human engineering and innovation. I was spellbound by the breathtaking views from its observation deck. The architectural wonders didn't end there – the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab, the futuristic Dubai Frame, and the palm-shaped Palm Jumeirah, all left me in awe of Dubai's audacious creativity and vision.

Embracing Tradition at the Souks 🕌🛍️

Amidst the glitzy skyscrapers, Dubai's soul lies in its vibrant souks (traditional markets). I found myself transported to a bygone era as I wandered through the bustling lanes of the Gold Souk, marveling at the glimmering displays of gold and precious gems. The Spice Souk offered a delightful sensory experience with its array of exotic spices and fragrances. I couldn't resist bargaining for unique souvenirs and cherished mementos to carry back home.

A Desert Safari Adventure 🐪🌅

A trip to Dubai would be incomplete without a desert safari. Venturing into the golden dunes on a thrilling desert safari, I felt the pulse of the desert's raw beauty. The adrenaline rush of dune bashing was followed by a serene sunset view, making it a photographer's paradise. As the night fell, I relished a traditional Bedouin-style dinner under the starry Arabian sky, accompanied by enchanting cultural performances.

Extravagance and Entertainment 🎢🌴

Dubai's commitment to grandeur was evident in its opulent malls and entertainment offerings. I was transported to a shopper's paradise at The Dubai Mall, where I indulged in retail therapy and marvelled at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. The city's lively atmosphere came to life at the Dubai Fountain show, choreographed to mesmerizing music. For a taste of adventure, I visited IMG Worlds of Adventure, one of the world's largest indoor theme parks, and enjoyed adrenaline-pumping rides and attractions.

A Cultural Melting Pot 🕌🌆

Beyond its glitzy façade, Dubai is a melting pot of cultures. I was fascinated by the peaceful coexistence of diverse communities and experienced the warm hospitality of the Emirati people. Visiting the Dubai Museum, located in the Al Fahidi Fort, offered insights into the city's fascinating history and humble beginnings as a fishing village. I also attended cultural events that celebrated the traditions and heritage of the UAE, leaving me with a profound appreciation for the country's rich cultural tapestry.
