Ależ pozory mogą mylić🤣 Nas początkowo zmyliły w Dubaju w historycznej dzielnicy Al Fahidi. Zmierzając na statek, dotarliśmy do miejsca, gdzie Dubaj pokazał nam swoje bardziej tradycyjne oblicze. Położona wzdłuż Dubai Creek dzielnica Al Fahidi przeniosła nas do XIX- wiecznego Dubaju. Tradycyjne wieże z kamienia, gipsu, drzewa tekowego, palmowego i sandałowego. Klimatyczne uliczki, ścieżki wijące się pomiędzy tradycyjnymi zabudowaniami, muzea i galerie sztuki to tylko niektóre z atrakcji, które można tu podziwiać, poznając historię sprzed powstania Emiratów. „Ale super” - pomyśleliśmy, ciesząc się innym niż nowoczesne obliczem Dubaju. Jakież było nasze zaskoczenie, kiedy okazało się, że to replika starego miasta 🙈 Budynki były nowe, tylko sprytnie postarzone. Mimo tego braku „zęba czasu”, miejsce spodobało się nam jako alternatywa dla drapaczy chmur i wszechobecnej nowoczesności. Okazało się bowiem, że w tym ultranowoczesnym mieście dba się o zachowanie tradycji, historii i kultury.
