tip anyone trying to emulate Driver San Francisco on rpcs3 you should play on rpcs3 version 0.0.23-14068 since i havent encountered a crash or freeze on this version yet and set the driver wake-up delay to 20μs to fix particles, tire tracks, pickups and checkpoints being invisible

Driver: San Francisco- Does it deserve a 4K Reamke?
When it comes down to underrated racing titles of the 2010’s decade one of few games that comes to mind aside from Split/Second is Driver: San Francisco from 2011. why can't sony just keep their games available across all playstations ???
like there were soooo many good games on the ps2 and ps3 that i would love to play again but can't because i sold my old consoles to buy the ps4 a few years ago
like i would happily repay for the games as well, and they don't even need to have updated controls and graphics, just be available from the playstation store
like i would literally sell my organs to play driver san francisco again, i know i need to shut up about it but it's honestly the best driving game i've ever come across
the whole rapid-shifting into different cars and people, the storyline, the MULTIPLAYER ???? literally ICONIC
and like ok, you could only drive around one city which nowadays is kinda shit compared to other driving/racing games available (e.g. the crew 2), but like for its time it was incredible, and the attention to detail in it is amazing
like the fact that when you hit your car it gets more and more banged up, then eventually you can snap the whole bonnet (hood for all you americans) and boot (again for americans, trunk) off
like i know that's normal in more recent games, but at the time that was super advanced and realistic, and so unnecessary but so appreciated, like the fact that the creators went through the effort of coding and animating all of that, and THEN when the bonnet did snap off, the fact that it didn't just disappear into oblivion, it stayed on the map as an object that could be interacted with, like you could push it around with your car and it made the car bump around when you drove over it
on top of that, the smoke that was rendered coming from the open bonnet when you destroyed the car was such a nice touch
also me being me, i just loved the fact that tanner's car was a yellow 1970s dodge challenger with black stripes because it looked like bumblebee (hi, i'm coco, i'm obsessed with transformers, particularly bumblebee, also ik bumblebee is a chevrolet camaro, the cars just look similar cause of the colour and stripes)
sorry i will actually try to shut up about dsf now, but i want to replay it soooo bad :(
ubisoft pls bring it back xxx
