An odd request, but a big part of quinceaneras is the changing of the shoes, where the girl wears flats up until the shoe change where they are changed into heels by one of their parents, these heels are their first pair of heels and symbolize their growth and maturity, since it's such a big symbol for quinces, could you by chance draw up the designs for the cocoon girls quinceanera shoes, both their flats and heels, and maybe even their quinceanera dresses from the first time around if you're up for it, I'd love to see how different their previous quinceanera dresses were to the ones they have now considering how Alma's family values changed, especially Isabella's as I imagine her first dress was completely different than her second one (she probably secretly hated her first dress)

Not really a strange or odd request. I wanted to draw their shoes, but I just got tired and posted what I had, you know wanted to put the last chapter and what not up. BUT KNOW I HAVE AN EXCUSE.

Now. I suck at designing clothes, let alone shoes, so like, cut me slack 😭 I really did try, I didn’t want to go overboard, but I didn’t wanna do too little tbh. But yeah. The heels are entirely unique, and while Mirabel (with the other kids’ input) did the dresses, she didn’t do the shoes. That was actually Alma, and the help of Pedro. No one else knew what they looked like outside of that. Bruno might’ve had an idea, not only because of the vision, but also because he’s the one who picked them up with Pedro.

But yeah, Alma would’ve put a lot of thought into them. She actually also designed the hats for Camilo and Antonio, but I digress. The flats were Pedro’s idea, he he wanted them to be white. It kind of a coincidence, but also not. He kinda wanted it to be reminiscent of their ceremony, and that’s mostly why they were white, but he also likes the idea of them transitioning from white to their usual color they wear. Shoes are hard to draw, especially heels 💀

Their dresses were a little different. Mirabel made her own (she wanted to), Luisa’s wasn’t as??? Poofy??? Idk how to describe it. Isabela’s was supposed to look like a princess dress and was obviously pastel colored (which she. Did not want), and Dolores’ wasn’t as detailed, you know. Just didn’t have as much. Pizazz if that makes sense.

I try to stylize them so that their main features and personality shine through. It’s kinda hard, but apparently I’m doing a good job haha

🌻 I adore this new (old, lol) Werewolf AU! This one just has less familial animosity than the one where Alma and Mira and the only werewolves, and on a selfish note I like escaping that sorta thing with these stories, hehe. I feel so bad for Isa and Dol, but I also love AUs like this one and Mama!Isa where the grandkids support one another even if they have to do so from their parents and Alma.

I wonder if Isa ever had a moment where she was tempted to tell Julieta that this was going on. Juli seems to care so much for her daughters that I feel like she would be an ever adoring person prepared to help anytime her kids are on the line, so I wonder if Isa was ever exasperated and thought about telling her mom? Probably "rationalized" herself out of it with something like, "Mama already has so much to deal with healing everyone so I shouldn't put this on her as well", but I feel like Isa mighta been tempted when she got overwhelmed.

I just like the idea of the kids realizing that their parents might help or care for them even if they never truly ask for help, since kids should ALWAYS feel like their parents are supportive and never worry about jealousy or anger or disgust from their parents. AUs where the parents are bitter or cruel just never stick well with me quite as much, hehe.

I'm glad you do cause I love it as well❗❗ definitely one of my face tbh. But as you may or may not know, any grandkids bonding au. <3333 BUT YEAH. A lot less of than jealousy thing. If anything, confusion, but its chill.

And oh yeah, Isabela definitely has thought about telling Julieta. Especially when she was younger, she felt so overwhelmed, and all she wanted was her mothers help. But you are right in the fact that she thought it would only add onto Jylieta's plate, so she never said anything. She was so scared too. And so many times over the years did she almost tell her :(

Anyway Julieta figured it out anyway. Like she wasn't born yesterday 😭 Bruno never noticed for obvious reasons (though he did have a cryptic vision, just never connected the dots) and Pepa likely would have noticed, but given she doesn't seem them after every goes to bed or at night after dinner, she doesn't know.

But like Isabela was in the kitchen and like. She barely slipped but enough for Julieta to notice and Isabela tried to play it off. Juleita was like "You know I know right" and Isabela kimda blue screens and has to process it. But once she does? She is SO relieved dawg. She finally has at least one person to confide in. Julieta is glad that Isabela finally told her, at least to her face. And while she does want Isabela and Dolores to tell the other family members, she doesn't pressure them into doing it immediately.

I think it's funny because, at least when in her half/partial form, Isabela is taller so she's just hunched over while Julieta comforts her.

You'll never guess the flower Isabela grows in her hair in this form (it's really obvious 💀).

OH OH have u hear of welcome home yet if u have?its the arg game (it does give off Dhmis/Sesame Street horror vibes) cause like there’s a sentient house call home and we’ll casita but there’s a lot of implications of horror and dark secrets like maybe Mirabel gift could be freeing them from that horrorshow but inviting the darkness to the real world but mainly cause I wanna see casita and home interact cause it’s heavily implied that’s homes malicious among other stuff so like the madrigal family would be scared of them due to so many things (but good news the village won’t advantage of their gifts anymore cause bris they’re freaky despite a majority of them being all smiles haha) their uncanny behavior like wally is never seen not smiling his eyes but I think the puppets would get along well with the kids or maybe it’s an au where Encanto takes place as it’s like the neighborhood where the madrigal are silly puppets but eventually realize stuff ain’t right and become self aware like the show omg so many possibilities

Ok so. I actually had to research this. I have heard of it but I never got into it, at least not till now. I think it's a cool idea! Welcome home in and of itself is cool, and personally I like the idea of the Madrigals becoming self aware 🌚

I did try and draw them as close to puppets as I could. Can you tell its my first time drawing puppets 💀

They aren't all human, cause I saw on the OG that not all the characters are human so. I played with that ❗❗

I'm going to wing this and hope it makes sense. Again, I'm still learning about this Welcome Home stuff, so feel free to suggest edits to the idea or correct me on things I've referenced wrong 😭

But. Basically the Madrigals each have a segment about. Whatever it is they specialize in??? I guess. Felix and Pepa talk about the weather. Julieta and Agustín both do kitchen and cooking. Isabela does gardening, Dolores and Camilo is basically about playing nice and having fun. Luisa and Mirabel are about helping others out. Antonio does animals (occasionally accompanied with Mirabel). Alma is basically about family, and does the nighttime segment.

Bruno. He HAD a segment. He actually still does, but it's different from what it was when they initially aired (debuted?). Bruno used to do the bedtime story/nighttime segment. But upon an incident (becoming the first to be self aware), he now always wears a space helmet, and does a hand puppet segment. Though, it is hard to understand him, due to his helmet muffling his talking.

I think Bruno would have tried to tell the others about what was going on but was silenced. But through his hand puppet shows, he slowly makes the other Madrigals become more ans more aware.
