The dance of 2020-2021, as performed by my annual Christmas amaryllis. Full story: I unpacked this bulb on Dec. 1 to find that it had already sprouted and grown at a severely wrong angle inside its small shipping box. I planted it correctly, put it near the brightest window and hoped it might figure its way up back up. This is a shot a day since then. Plants are smart af - I sure hope maybe we can learn a thing or two from them going into the next year (grow regardless of where you’re planted, it’s never too late to completely change direction, inspire a lot of dick jokes, etc...)
