THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF AGUTAYA PALAWAN
Hi guys I'm AMELYN LLANZANA and Welcome to my blog.
Agutaya is a 5th class municipality in the Province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 10,422 people in 2,040 households. It is the eastern part of the cuyo islands Group, and is the second largest island of the archipelago.
Tumblr media
Agutaya was formerly a part of cuyo. It was made into a separate district during the later part of the Spanish regime. The towns name was derived from the word "Agunan", a root growing abundantly in the place, and "Yan", a kind of fish that abounds in the sea. The word "Ta" was added in between Agu and Yan to form the towns name.
Tumblr media
Agutaya island is the second largest of the cuyo group with an area of about 4.5 square miles (12km虏). The north-eastern part is hilly. Four peaks tower over the island. The middle and highest of the four peaks, 885 feet (270m) high, is covered with cogon, the others being wooded.
Tumblr media
Native sailboats used to be unable to sail to and from the nearby island of cuyo (only 20 miles away), due to the strength of the monsoon, either the northwest monsoon in wintertime, or southwest monsoon in summer.

We are all complete, so we all go down because the pared is about to start. After the pared, we eat at school because we are all hungry because the pared is long, so my friends are tired and we are already there in the plaza A lot of people are watching our sudra. It's really fun. After the pared, I went home to sleep because it's really tiring but it's fun.

Hello everyone!! Do you want know something about the history of agutaynens and there culture? Okay so now let's talk about AGUTAYNEN PEOPLE IN PALAWAN TRIBAL GROUP HISTORY
Agutaynens, originally came from the municipality of Agutaya. These groups of people are believed to belong to the family of Austronesians and Malayo-Polynesians whose have a long inhabited the province of Palawan.
Tumblr media
The Agutaynen of Philippines, numbering 17,000, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are part of the Filipino, Tribal people cluster within the Malay Peoples affinity bloc. This people group is only found in Philippines
Tumblr media
They have lexical similarity with Cuyonon and the Calamian Tagbanua, who are also indigents in Palawan. According to recent reports, this group of people has also begun embracing modernization.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most of them are found in the municipality of Agutaya. But some of the Agutaynens are found in some parts of Palawan. Caabay & Melvin (2014: 1-2) note that Agutaynen is spoken by about 15,000 people on Agutaya Island and six of the smaller of the smaller Cuyo Islands, namely Diit, Maraca帽ao, Matarawis, Algeciras, Concepcion, and Quiniluban. After World War II, Agutaynen speakers were also moved to San Vicente, Roxas, Brooke鈥檚 Point, Balabac, Linapacan, and Puerto Princesa City municipalities on Palawan Island.
There culture and arts. The Agutaynens have many traditional beliefs which they inherited them from their ancestors. For example, someone who sings while eating can be considered stupid, they have no respect as the food is grace from God.
Mano is an "honouring-gesture" used in Filipino culture performed as a sign of respect to elders and as a way of requesting a blessing from the elder. Similar to hand-kissing, the person giving the greeting bows towards the hand of the elder and presses their forehead on the elder's hand.

Brief History 飦礎gutaya was formerly a part of Cuyo. It was made into a separate district during the later part of the Spanish regime. The town's name was derived from the word agunan, a root growing abundantly in the place, and yan, a kind of fish that abounds in the sea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The town of Agutaya is called Agutaya because it is from the combined words "Agunan" and "Yan".
Agunan is a type of root plant found in the town of Agutaya, it is abundant and abundant in the town of Agutaya. It is eaten by our ancestors and replaced with rice. Abundant in Agunan The town of Agutaya and other root plants.

Hi Guys, Its me Juddy馃悽
Welcome to my Blog.
Many people travel for different purposes.
But me? This is my passion. To travel anywhere. Do you know what is the most beautiful place I have ever been? Hmmm! One of my favorite places to visit is Agutaya. Do you know where it is located? It is located on the north side of Palawan. Agutaya, officially the Municipality of Agutaya (Tagalog: Bayan ng Agutaya), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. The town's name was derived from the word aguanan, a root growing abundantly in the place, and yon, a kind of fish that abounds in the sea. The Agutaynen tribe live in the northern part of the province of Palawan in the Agutaya Island. Majority of them speak the Agutaynen dialect and lived by way of fishing, swidden farming, and carpentry. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 12,867 people. Agutaya is politically subdivided into 10 barangays. Each barangay consists of puroks and some have sitios.

Tumblr media
It's just a simple lifestyle there. But the people here are very kind. Many people from here are professionals and some are already working in other countries and so on. Agutaya is home to a specific language, called the Agutaynen language, But don't worry, everyone here knows how to speak any language, such as Visayas, Tagalog, Cuyonin and English. And can also understand any word of different languages. One of the main occupations here is fishing, farming and Carpentry. But this does not mean that people here are only like that. Because when it comes to companionship and how they get along with every person who comes here, they don't choose anyone in terms of their kindness. So if you go somewhere and you will feel comfortable or feel at home. Go to Agutaya. One of the rich islands of Palawan in terms of natural resources and basic commodities. Mabuhay Banwang Agutaya, Viva!
