These goobers cost me $100 in remote raid passes
The one I wanted more was dialga
The palkia spawned unexpectedly after I joined a raid my friend invited me to randomly
And they both? Have the adventure effect move????
Which I didn't know you couldn't TM?
I've had shit raid luck so I guess pokego was apologizing lmao
Also here's my hot take: origin forme > regular dialga/palkia

Submas AU Masterpost
Feel free to use/do anything with my ideas (as long as you credit me for the au or inspiration or whatevs. I'm not stressed about it.)
These are my babies. My asks are always open!
Mirror AU:
Even separated by time and space, Emmet and Ingo somehow manage to match each other in more ways than just their appearances. It's entirely accidental... Until half a year after Ingo's disappearance when they realize that they can see each other in mirrors. From then on, they are a lot more hopeful about their futures. Nimbasa City, however, is not hopeful as the Subway Boss speedruns a transformation from a poor little meow meow to a full blown cryptid.
Prophet and Heretic AU:
Before he can join the Pearl Clan, Ingo goes to the rift on Mount Coronet for answers. Palkia and Dialga are too busy throwing hands to hear. Arceus does, though, and oh geez he should have thought things through before appearing before a mortal. By the time Ingo recovers from his holy fainting spell, he has all his memories back, spooky god powers, and a new headmate. At least Arceus promised to return him home in return for completing some quest to save the world...
Centuries in the future, a very lonely and remorseful Giratina approaches Emmet with a deal.
Paper Lantern AU:
When Ingo gets torn from his own time, he gets torn from his body as well. With nothing but his human soul, he possesses a paper lantern and invents a regional variant of Chandelure. His ace would be so proud. Meanwhile, Emmet is left with Ingo's alive but verrry much comatose body.
Ditto Emmet AU:
I just wanted to hit one of the boys with a shape shifter beam and Emmet is my favorite. A lot fun shape shifter things here. Like family fluff and body horror! And also Emmet copying the incarnation of time itself, hehehe-
Ghost Train AU (Danny Phantom Crossover):
The Distortion World is really just the Pokemon world's name for their version of the Ghost Zone. Ingo and Dawn get eaten up by a couple of natural portals, and two newly formed halfas arrive in Hisui a year apart. Arceus won't touch ghost child Akari with a ten-foot pole, but it all works out in the end anyways because Akari can't not help the nobles, and the Distortion World/Ghost Zone is a great medium for traversing time and space.
Submas Fusion AU:
Ingo and Emmet went to hisui together, but the distortion world said they can't have nice things. A man with no idea who or what he is woke up in a black and white coat in the coronet highlands, with only a handful of Joltik to protect him. He couldn't remember his name, but E and I came to mind. So, he guesses his name is Ei now...
Gear Session:
Homestuck au!
Arceus found a copy of Sburb in the Pokemon world and thought "that's not good" and sent the Nimbasa trio plus Akari on a mission to destroy the incipisphere from the inside out. No reckoning destroying the earth or frog breeding here, but there is a lot of temporary death. You know. Prototyping dream selves and questbeds and all that.
Fluff and Scales AU:
Hybrid au, but Ingo and Emmet are legendary hybrids.
Ingo and Emmet were born with black and white dragon wings. No one recognized them, so it was chalked up to a couple undiscovered species of pokemon and life continued as normal. But Drayden always suspected there was something more to them than that.
His suspicions were confirmed during the Team Plasma invasion, after which everyone and their mother knew what the dragons of legend looked like. And anyone who had ever been to Nimbasa could recognize the white fluff and black scales.
Also featuring Arceus hybrid Jackie and Absol hybrid Beni.
Tron AU:
Ingo got eebied to the grid instead of Hisui! He runs around the computer systems of Unova for about a month thinking he's a program, until he finds Gear station. The train autopilot programs, called ATOs, help their poor amnesiac User remember who he is, while someone unexpected brings Emmet into the digital world to help.
Thrice is a Pattern:
There were three skyfallers in Hisui. The first was an accident. The second was a failed rescue attempt. The third was the one who saved them all. Trainer Dawn never makes it back home after entering the distortion world, ending up in Hisui instead. Ingo is sent to the past to make it right, but he forgets his mission before he can even start. It's up to Lucas, now.
Kabaneri au:
Crossover with Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress! Instead of frenzies, Giratina unleashes a corruption on Hisui that turns people and pokemon into mindless zombies called Kabane. Arceus sends Dawn to cleanse the region, and promises she will be immune to the curse. He fails to mention that to do so, he will have to take away her humanity first.

Ninjago Pokemon Au lore time babyyyyyyy
This is for all who is confused about how my au ties to canon, reminder that this is an au and everything is not literal to canon here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the fight between dark and light, the first realm was home to Powerful Dark and Legendary Dragon. Not every dark was considered an "Oni" more of the ancient powerful ones. However, a power force of a mix between an Oni and dragon came and separated the battle. A Mewtwo who was a legendary physic with power that can be used between good and evil. Unfortunately this power wasn't enough to put an ending to the war and the pokemon fled before more conflict could be done. Now under the name The First Spinjitsu Master (fsm), he battled a powerful water force like no other. Kyogre sought out to distribute dominance over the land of Water type and Nature type Pokemon. With the help of a mighty Suicune name Nyad, the Pokemon gathered to defeat the beast, Leaving two stones behind for both water and nature pokemon type to protect by the Fsm himself. Bearing two pokemon, Wu the Alakazam and Garmadon the Mightyena, The Fsm trained them to become just like their ancestors. During the day of sparring, Garmadon was bitten by a power dark force that took over him over time, slowly transforming him into one of the most powerful Oni known as a mega houndoom. A dominant Entity called "The overlord" sought out to destroy the peace between pokemon with his army of Terrakion called the stone army. Using his powers to create an armor to bend to any size, the Fsm barely defeated the overlord and separated the realm of Ninjago into two parts. Later on The Fsm created an alliance between Pokemon and Serpentine. However a greedy and devious serpentine named Asphera (I think that's her name..) made her way to betray and over throw her kingdom with the help of a unknowingly young Alakazam and the powerful force of Spinjitsu. Unfortunately the rein didn't last and the Serpentine was defeated by Garmadon and wu using the Forbidden Spinjitsu. Years later The Fsm had left to go make four golden weapons out of his power and later making his resting place at his tomb. Garmadon and wu parted thier ways only to be brought together again by a serpentine war. Gathering all Pokemon with the ability of gaining elements depending on their type, the brothers sought out to battle the treacherous Serpentine, not processing about how the Serpentine interpret the same destiny. During the battle, two Pokemon came and sought to destroy the alliance between Pokemon. Krux and acronix who are a pair of meowstic Twins with the power of the element of time inherited by the mighty dialga, these two twins had their plans failed by a special armor made by the first element of fire and water. After successfully defeating the twins by using the armor to gather their powers on their shoulder where it was placed, the battle of Serpentine came to an end. The golden weapons were hidden by the Fsm before parting from the realm to gather peace, he had done his work. Sooner or later Misako the Glameow met with garmadon and left Wu alone once more. After learning about the successful story of the green ninja, Wu become more determined than ever to complete it. Adopting a shuppet named Morro, Wu trained him to become the green ninja, however, destiny decided a fate of Morro not becoming the green ninja. Morro, who wanted to proved destiny wrong, left Wu to find the tomb of the Fsm, never to be heard of again. Later on, Wu discovered that he had a nephew but Garmadon's fate caught up to him, turning him full Oni. Wu decided to find a team of Pokemon with great potential just like his older team. This later became know as Ninjago's greatest heros.
(God that was a lot to write 😔 )
The Swords of Justice! Arceus made Xerneas of Life, Dialga of Time, & Zygarde of Order & Balance. Xerneas & Dialga worked with Groudon of Land to create Celebi the time-traveling onion fairy guardian of the forest. Celebi can travel to the past & the future. Calyrex can see the past & the future. Both Grass/Psychic. Similar body types, including wings. Obviously Celebi created Calyrex. However, there is one thing Calyrex did not get from Celebi... Calyrex is supposedly the king of Galar, & potentially of more, perhaps beyond being king of a physical area, it could be the king of a group of Pokemon and/or people. The only Pokemon I could think of for Calyrex to get its King status from also follows the British theme of Galar. For a long time many kings (including & especially British kings) claimed “Divine Right” AKA “God’s Mandate”; meaning they were supposedly chosen by God to be king, and they answer to no one but God Himself (including the people they rule & even other governing bodies... how convenient...) So I think it’s possible Celebi worked with Arceus to create Calyrex, which would make Calyrex the only Pokemon Arceus made with another Pokemon (as far as I can tell). Zygarde worked with Lunala of Planets & Moons to create Regigigas the organizer of the continents, the intended keeper of balance between Land & Sea. Regigigas created Registeel. Registeel create Melmetal/Meltan. Perhaps Registeel created Meltan who combined to become Melmetal. Perhaps Registeel created Melmetal who created Meltan with the ability to combine and become another Melmetal. Whichever. It doesn’t really matter. I believe Calyrex as King worked with Melmetal & Zygarde to create Zacian & Zamazenta. Zacian & Zamazenta being the knights of king Calyrex. Zygarde gave them their Canine form; as well as the fact that knights traditionally belong to an Order, and part of an Order of Knights’ mission is to keep order. Meltan’s Let’s Go Pokedex says: It melts particles of iron and other metals found in the subsoil, so it can absorb them into its body of molten steel. Zacian’s Sword Pokedex: Known as a legendary hero, this Pokémon absorbs metal particles, transforming them into a weapon it uses to battle. Zamazenta’s Sword Pokedex: In times past, it worked together with a king of the people to save the Galar region. It absorbs metal that it then uses in battle. I believe Melmetal gave Zacian & Zamazenta their ability to absorb metal to create their iconic Sword & Shield. Zacian & Zamazenta obviously co-created the Swords of Justice. The Sacred Sword of Zacian, the Fighting Type of Zamazenta. Also, Cobalion, the leader of the Swords of Justice, is named for its color, and is the same type combo as Zamazenta. I believe Zacian & Zamazenta worked with Shaymin to create Virizion. Other options for co-creators of Virizion are Celebi, Tapu Bulu, or even Calyrex. But for some reason I lean more towards Shaymin. Perhaps because it’s quadrupedal in both forms. It’s possible that Zacian & Zamazenta worked with Regirock and/or even Diancie to create Terrakion... but it’s also entirely possible that they created Terrakion alone. Diancie could work with the knight theme as it has a very Princess-y appearance. I believe Zacian & Zamazenta worked with Suicune to create Keldeo. Tangent! Suicune is at the moment the highest authority Fresh Water Legendary. Kyogre, Manaphy, Phione, & Tapu Fini are all Salt Water. Volcanion is the Legendary of both Deadly-Hot Water Geysers (like Old Faithful of Yellowstone) AND Refreshingly-Hot Water Springs; however I believe Suicune worked with Entei to create Volcanion, making Suicune higher in the ranks of Fresh Water. And it just makes more sense for Suicune to make Keldeo than any other Water Legendary. Xerneas worked with Lunala & Solgaleo to create Ho-Oh. The movie ‘I Choose You’ connects Marshadow strongly with Ho-Oh, leading me to believe Ho-Oh created it. The Life theme & Resurrection power of Ho-Oh fits the Ghost type of Marshadow. Also the fire in Marshadow’s eyes. As of now (but this may change when the Sword/Shield DLC releases), I believe Marshadow worked with Keldeo to create Kubfu/Urshifu. Rapid Strike Form of course taking after Keldeo, being the same Fighting/Water Type combo. Single Strike Form taking after Marshadow, being Fighting/Dark compared to Marshadow’s Fighting/Ghost. also, Kubfu’s body type resembles Marshadow a bit. Perhaps Marshadow & Keldeo created 2 Urshifu; 1 Rapid Strike, 1 Single Strike. or perhaps they created 2 Kubfu; 1 becoming Rapid Strike, the other becoming Single Strike.
Watching Detective Pikachu a second time observations:
<SPOILER WARNING>
How the hell did a Ditto learn how to text perfect English? We always knew it copied its target’s abilities, but in the case of humans, did that include texting? Human speech? Medical science?! To what extent can a Ditto’s Transform reach?
On that note, why didn’t Ditto just transform into Mewtwo and then get taken over with the neuro-thing-a-ma-bobber? Ditto is basically confirmed to be a failed Mew clone--and can copy almost any ability to some extent--did it not have the Mystery DungeonTM human-soul-into-Pokemon capabilities?
Near the end where people’s souls are being planted into Pokemon, there’s a Machamp in the background examining their own muscles; looking quite pleased with themselves. I see you and you are valid.
Its implied that Tim’s dad was hired to locate and capture Mewtwo after fleeing the Kanto region. How the hell did a Detective and his Pikachu manage to pull that off? I’m assuming it had something to do with the electro-trapper do-dads, but... can you imagine a detective sleuthing his way into finding and somehow CAPTURING Mewtwo? Did they talk it out or something?
If even one giant Torterra from that garden uses Earthquake are we just dead? I think we got bigger priorities than finding your dad, Tim.
Also--Tim meets up with Mewtwo, lead by the world’s squeakiest bulba-bois, a fair distance from the Torterra Garden. Thanks for the heals, Mewtwo--but where the hell were you during that whole mess!? Mewtwo knows the realest threat when they see it.
The dude that Jigglypuff put to sleep in the Hi-Hat Cafe has been knocked out for two nights straight now at the same table. Are they alright?
In the credits, there’s a listing of songs and their composers. A crew of people worked on a song called “Jigglypuff”. If we’re assuming that that’s THE song from the Pokemon anime--can we really say in good faith that this song needed a lyricist?
Considering how terrible Detective Pikachu was at reading Mr. Mime’s gestures--how exactly did Tim’s dad understand anything he was saying as his informant?
Is Mr. Mime okay?
I appreciate the fact that the Machamp in the beginning can be seen redirecting traffic due to a sleeping Snorlax blocking the road. Machamp should be able to lift Snorlax out of the way and then-some given its superpower strength--but this scene was too good to pass up as is and is better this way.
It’s funny that compared to the giant water serpent and fire-breathing pseudo-dragon, the yellow rodent with the cap still has the highest advantage here.
Does this city have a Pokemon Center? There may not be Pokemon battles (legally) in Ryme City, but I really gotta wonder--shit happens--especially with glass shards in this movie--serious yikes.
For that matter, does this city have a Nurse Joy? Officer Jenny? Only saw male police officers on the scene. Are there CRIMES in RYME city?! It has a detective agency, so I suppose that was a given.
If Pokemon trainers exist--and the anime is implied to be a real thing in Ryme City’s world--are gym leaders real? Like do Brock and Misty exist somewhere in this live-action universe with cartoon-counterparts premiering in the same universe’s television?
Is Ash even real? The Detective Pikachu 3DS game made a reference to his existence--does he exist? Is he tangible?
Does his long lost Butterfree exist somewhere in this world? Can we detective our asses onto finding them and fixing a lot of painful childhoods? Are we following the continuity of the anime or manga? Is Professor Oak real? Ask him what his grandson’s name is and we’ll know for sure! Wait--dammit--that’s a dead end if I’ve ever seen one. The world may never know...
Poke Floats!
Shout out to the Braviary bringing the construction workers their tools/lunch--real MVP.
“Angels With Filthy Souls” (x) is playing in Tim’s dad’s apartment when he enters--the classic scene that many of us remember from Home Alone. Does Kevin McCallister exist somewhere in the Pokemon universe?
Cocaine, cancer, and climate change!
While there has only ever been one Mewtwo to know Healing Pulse (from Pokemon Hills in Unova [Genesect and the Legend Awakened]), it at the very least confirms Mewtwo can technically learn it... somehow. I don’t know if Recovery counts as a healing ability beyond only self-application--had to heal Pikachu somehow.
There’s a blimp in the likeness of Mew during the parade--if people know what Mew looks like down to its color and appearance, how big a deal is it really to find/discover it?
Would anyone take a selfie with Mew? Is Pokemon Snap trendy?
For that matter, statues of Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia are smack-dab in the one guy’s office... people just know what Poke-God looks like, huh?
Interesting that Tim proved his dad’s partner Pokemon was alive, but that wasn’t enough to convince the head detective that MAYBE his dad was too. “No one could survive a crash like that”... except for his Pikachu, I guess, but we’ll just ignore that blaring fact for now.
How DID Mewtwo even know Tim’s dad had a son? Seriously--I wanna be in the room where he and Mewtwo conversed with one another. You can’t tell me they didn’t talk during their first encounter! Give me quirky detective vs. demi-god--I demand this scene on my desk before the next 25 years. I’ve waited this long already! Let’s go round 2!
...can a giant Torterra be caught in a Pokeball? They can, right? Mega yikes.
