✦。— Red hues settled upon Dan Heng's figure, the arms that softly wrapped around him tightened their hold when the other asked his question. Pulling him closer, a gloved hand receded to find his before eclipsing their digits with one another. The comfort in which he sought to bring was not easily expressed in words, silence befell Muyang as he thought about his answer.

Upon arriving at Xianzhou Luofu, dark waters of the past relentlessly clung onto his ankles, as though alive― the shadows that followed him throughout his whole life had finally caught up. What a deadly thing to live in, a time foregone, a time that no longer existed. Muyang, out of everyone, understood this the most.

After all, he too, lived in the past still. A ghost of his former self, a part of him was enshrouded in that same darkness. The figures of his parents often came to haunt him in his dreams or when he was awake. It was a reality that he found hard to acknowledge, thus, he did not move forward.

Muyang wished not for Dan Heng to be like him. What the other deserved was to bathe in the sun freely, to be as he were― to thrust out of the cold, endless abyss and feel the warmth upon his skin.

And if the tides threatened to sweep in and bear him down again, then Muyang wished to hold onto his hand and never let go.

Kindly Stopped for Me: Chapter 33. Lily lives AU, where Lily falls into a coma on Halloween 1981 and wakes up at the end of GoF. Lots of angst and family feels.

The Joker and The Queen: Chapter 3. A Jily fake-dating fic. Shenanigans abound. An "Idiots in Love" kind of story.

James Lives AU (Title TBA): Outline & Chapter 1. Basically a James version of Kindly Stopped for Me. James survives Halloween 1981 in a way that I will not spoil for you, and wakes up later on when Harry is a teenager.

Forever is the Sweetest Con: Short multi-chapter. Jily as con artists who fall in love while trying to con each other.

Fragile Little Flame: A post-war Hinny fic! Most likely a one-shot, but we'll see what happens.

(I’m not including the KSFM Missing Moments that I’m working on in this, since I don’t post them on AO3, but just know that I haven’t forgotten them!!!)

Upcoming Scenes, Events, Details

I've been making some minor changes to my outline for KSFM, so the exact numbers may change, but looking at it from a birds-eye view—Chapters 35 and 39 are two of the angstiest chapters in the entire fic😅 So...in preparation for that...I'm giving you all a slight break from the heaviness of this fic with chapters 33 and 34. I'm hoping it won't feel like a crazy tone switch after the previous two chapters, but I'm excited! Chapter 33 is a bit of a transition chapter (setting up some important things!) so maybe won't be the most exciting thing to read. But it will include Lily watching Harry in a Gryffindor Quidditch match for the first time and the gang celebrating Sirius’s 36th birthday!🎂🎂🎂 So hopefully you all will enjoy that!! And then Chapter 34 will be a Harry POV and will feature some good old-fashioned teenage romance drama😅

Chapter 3 of The Joker and The Queen has taken soooo long to write because it's something I sort of have to be in the right mindset for. (I still don't have a full outline for it because I posted the first chapter impulsively before I really thought about the plot very much lol) But I'm hoping it will be worth the wait!! The chapter will feature Lily meeting Fleamont and Euphemia (and possibly some Potter extended family members too) for the first time. I've never written James's parents before, so I'm excited!

Oh man, oh man. What can I say about the James lives au?? I'm currently drafting multiple vague outline ideas as I work through the timeline that I want it to take place in. But, despite what I've said previously, I'm finding myself starting to lean towards setting it in the OotP universe after all. (but no promises yet!) I'm staying kind of vague about the plot of this since it's still very much under consideration, but I'll just say that Peter's betrayal and its ramifications will be a major focus. The betrayal will happen slightly differently than it does in canon (as some of you have already guessed!), and I expect it to be devastating😈

Forever is the Sweetest Con is a fic that has been percolating in my brain for a WHILE now. I haven't officially outlined it yet, but I already made the banner so it's officially happening! It will be canon divergent, and I'm excited to explore the cat-and-mouse dynamic that I envision when I think about this one.

Fragile Little Flame is a fic inspired by Taylor Swift's "I Know Places" and is also one that I already have a banner and title for, but no outline. It'll be a post-war Hinny fic (I've been wanting to return to writing them!) and will take place in the 19 years between the end of DH and the epilogue. I haven't really thought about the plot in detail yet, but it probably won't be epilogue-compliant. Harry will (probably) be a Quidditch player rather than an Auror, and the fic will explore Harry and Ginny recovering from the war and rebuilding their relationship amongst the chaos of both grief and fame.

DIANA’S LEVELS OF TRUST : A GUIDE

The best way to describe this meta is the title itself. Diana shows how much she trusts you in sort of stages. What she is comfortable telling you , showing you , or doing with you really says a lot about how she feels. This mostly comes from her difficulty in trusting anyone anyway. She must be careful about how she shows her vulnerability , in addition to being a more physical being. She can drop some really good lines , but usually those are digs , philosophical questions , or just very deep comments. That says nothing about how much she trusts someone. So , I am going to go into the sort of levels she exhibits , and how you know you have become someone she truly cares for. This is not an exact path , and there have been instances where some things were skipped or happened early , but it is entirely dependent on circumstance. Note that there are different ways this starts out depending on when you met her.

LEVEL 1A : Assuming you have met her as a human and you proved to be decent enough that she was okay being around you again , this is where you fall. Here , she will talk to you should you contact her , have a drink , that sort of thing. Incredibly casual and she will likely not be the one initiating quality time. She won’t visit you in wolf form.

LEVEL 1B : Assuming you met her as the Big Bad Wolf and you were kind , she will allow you passage in her forest in the future. Offerings are not required every time , and she will have various animals follow you to make sure you remain safe. You will not know she can transform into a human

LEVEL 2A : Diana has come to enjoy your presence to the point where she will seek you out , a more engaged version of initial friendship. You may see glimpses of a wolf outside your door if you look hard enough.

LEVEL 2B : She cares for you enough to occasionally be the one following you through the woods for personal protection. If you look for her , you might not be able to see her.

LEVEL 3A : Diana tells you , if you haven’t already passed through the Wolf Woods together , that she frequents there. More importantly , she does so because she has the favor of the Big Bad Wolf. She translates for it , helps it makes deals. She tells you that because she said so , you are allowed to walk the Wolf Woods’ paths freely. Do not hunt there.

LEVEL 3B : The Big Bad Wolf can occasionally be seen walking with you , whether at the edge of the tree line , or along the path. This tells everyone that you are protected.

LEVEL 4A : Diana walks with you in any area of the woods you choose. You see the animals , the plants , and you are allowed to take from the latter in moderation. You can visit the Wolf’s Den and ask her to speak to the Wolf for you.

LEVEL 4B : You are brought to the Wolf’s Den and you meet Diana , separately from Wolf itself. You also have free accompanied passage in the woods with Diana , and moderate amounts of physical affection. If she doesn’t start it though , she may retreat.

LEVEL 5 : You are free to roam the woods yourself , but no matter what level of trust you’re at , you are always being watched by something. Diana will bring you things that make her ( or the Wolf ) think of you. Most importantly , you may pet the Wolf a little and Diana is freely physically affectionate.

LEVEL 6 : Diana and the Wolf are comfortable enough around you to possibly doze off , like if you are traveling together , and you have free passage entirely into the woods.

LEVEL 7 : Diana will reveal she and the Wolf are the same. There are certain individuals who may learn this early or start out with it , but that is either due to them figuring it out on their own or Diana assuming they knew already in some cases. Here , she is willing to give the full story of how she became the Big Bad Wolf.

LEVEL 8 : Diana will visit you frequently , and allow frequent visits from you. Physical contact and affection she did not initiate is moderately accepted.

LEVEL 9 : You may be physically affectionate first , and Diana will tell you about her mother and how she became immortal.

LEVEL 10 : The ultimate show of trust is for her to show you her home. Up until this point , the place to meet her that counted as a home was the Wolf’s Den , but that isn’t where she lives. It’s a quaint two story cabin that is completely protected from outside visitors. It is in a secluded grove at the center of the Wolf Woods that she has fixed up over the years. She grows her own food and has a garden. It’s beautiful and fairytale like. It’s home but not neatly tended. Like how she needs to be treated , she loves the house but leaves it wild. It’s natural state. The inside is organized to a degree , but it feels lived in.

The more she shows you the more relaxed she becomes as you take it in and do not seem to reject it. She is showing you her truest self and hoping you accept it , her , for all it , she , is. It is a risk to show someone where she lives because you could tell someone and ruin it all but she is trusting you not to. Her walls come down because where else can she be more herself with you than the place that serves as an extension of herself ? She is all rage and teeth , but her home shows the tenderness she is capable of and wants to show to you that. She is showing you her deepest vulnerabilities because the home is a reflection of the self. Her vulnerability is being completely and utterly herself. Even if she never tells you what it means to show you her cabin , the weight of it can be felt. That’s when you know you have gained her trust for the rest of your life , so long as you do not break it.

To know how rare this is , and why is deserved multiple paragraphs , there are only two people in her canon she has shown her home to : Emilie ( @fearstouch​ ) and Rumplestiltskin ( @giltskin​ ) and that is after a very long time of knowing them. They’re all immortal , if that puts it into perspective. One person outside of her OUAT canon , Geralt ( @wilczmin​ ) , has also managed this and he is also older than he seems. These three also share the fact that the outside world doesn’t always trust them , sometimes even sees them as monster. Just like Diana. So with the trust comes the idea that the person she’s showing her home to also has a degree of understanding of who and what she is. She cannot trust you completely if you don’t make an effort to understand her , because she spent centuries learning how cruel human fear of the misunderstood can be. Diana must feel safe with you , down to the deepest parts of her , before she can admit she loves you.

this is less about fashion but his colour palette is just soooo so pretty!! it suits him so well and ahgudhkd.. even before i started really liking him i thought he was quite pretty!! and his visual themes were gorgeous to me, he still has one of the prettiest bursts to me in the game, even if more simple compared to recent ones (for the love of god look at f.u xuan’s leaked one). his burst was what made me so excited abt the visual quality of the game back in beta!!

as for his fashion….. ahguahighsjfhdh@;£:&/£!!!! yeah. Hes pretty. even if the two zippers at the front of his collar are so silly (seriously why are they there) his outfit is very pretty n fitting for him. i dont wanna talk about y.inyue jun. thank uou.

i’ll answer 11 last bcs i’ll be talking about spoilers!! ummmm. he’s. ooo i wanna gush abt him with spoilers but i’ll try my best not to!!!! anyway he’s v strong and skilful with his spear cloud-piercer (i cant believe he kept that name but also i can) but he’s also very well-read, given he’s the archivist of the express!! ask him anything related to the data bank and he can give you answers. he’s also v organised with it and bookmarks things t.railblazer might want to read if they ever visit. he says to ask h.imeko or w.elt if they ever have any questions but he’s very smart too!! let me ask him instead!! (ok tbf idk if this is a talent but let me gush anyway)

ok so the main reason why i started liking him so much in the first place was getting to know his past reincarnation as yyj and how he feels about it and his development(?) from it so. i’ll put this under the cut

the fact that he’s someone so.. somewhat rooted in the present, and has moved on completely from his past reincarnation as yinyue jun/dan feng is just? really admirable to me?? he was so firm in saying that he is not dan feng anymore and he won’t let dan feng’s past hang over him. and he’s right- he really isn’t dan feng anymore and the fact that he’s so self assured made me admire him a lot.

his conversation with jing yuan was so tense but bittersweet, and while i can tell jing yuan had some mixed feelings about it (i imagine he saw dan feng as a dear friend.. or more, and seeing him again—sorta—only for him to say that he is not that friend anymore, n being told that wld hurt obviously), he was ultimately very happy that dan heng choose to leave it behind and really. move on to a new life with his found family in the express. and i’m also rly proud n happy of dan heng for being so….. so Agh. i can’t explain. so assured!! it’s so nice to see.

i can only imagine how hard it wouldve been to get to that stage- but that scene. that conversation with jing yuan where he firmly tells him that he will not walk in dan feng’s shadow anymore was what made me start liking him so much. it made me quite emotional ngl

but also that scene where he was forcibly turned into yinyue jun and the one whr revealed the dragon palace (with samudrartha playing in the bg) were so cool n hype i just ghdufhekgleklejf;@:£&/

Walking around Xianzhou still brings pricks of discomfort against his nerves. People have gotten used to his presence by now, but there are many who can't help but stare at his horns and his tail. In turn it causes him to be more withdrawn. Despite this, he was here for one thing only. The goal in mind was enough for a distraction and his focus on that one thing.

Where was he posted.. ah. He finally spots Muyang, seemingly speaking to a subordinate. He keeps his distance to observe and ensure that he wouldn't actually be interrupting work, waiting for the conversation to draw to a close before approaching him. "Hey." Comes a simple greeting, without much else as he hands him a small bag of gem biscuits. "I'll be busy, but wanted to drop this off. See you later." And just like that he turns to leave. Simple words from him, always.

Muyang dismissed his subordinate with a nod, gaze never once lifting from the papers that he flipped through. Yet, moments later, the ringing of one's familiar voice made ruby hues shift. The man's eyes widened at his contrasting appearance.

A dragon's tail and a pair of horns, his short hair had been replaced with long flowing hair― many things were different about him this time. But the way his ocean hues gazed upon Muyang was unmistakable.

It was him. Dan Heng.

"I'll be busy, but wanted to drop this off. See you later."

The small bag of gem biscuits was placed in his hand neatly and the Cloud Knight's expression softened at that. Yes, they were his favourite snacks and not many people knew of it. A quiet smile graced upon his lips as he cradled the pouch in his hands, watching as the other left in a hurry. The way he spoke, the way he expressed his love― it was as though he never changed despite that appearance.

Ah. How glad Muyang was, to know he was still the same at his very core. To know that he had not lost another one today, another one whom he held special in his heart.

The Cloud Knight's feet started to move, picking up its pace to catch up to Dan Heng. A gloved hand came up to hold onto his, pulling him backwards until his back bumped against Muyang's chest.

He leaned down to press his lips against Dan Heng's cheek before resting his head on his shoulder.

❝ I will see you later. ❞ A pause, ❝ Dan Heng. ❞

His voice was low and soft, the other's name was spoken with a particular fondness. And with that, Muyang let him go.
