Experiencing the cultural music of south Morocco 🇲🇦 with the Khamlia Gnaoua tribe and test the famous delicious berber pizza was warming to experience. Khamlia is located in south Morocco, close to the Sahara Desert, the village has a population of about 405 Gnaouans. Merzouga is home to the Southeastern Sahara Desert of Morocco, a little town of about 50km from the Algerian border and the village is known for its proximity to Erg Chebbi, the dunes. Merzouga has the largest natural underground body of water in Morocco. Overnight in our luxury desert camp after a splice camel trek through the dunes, is a night you will forever remember! We also make our way to the small village of Khamlia south of Merzouga. If you love music and want to hear something a little different, you can find it in Khamlia. It is a music group Gnawa, their music is ritual and communicates with secrets. If you are open in your soul you can dance, listen, you will be like a stone that can not be moved, their music is everywhere. This is the 7th largest mosque in the world and claims the title of the largest minaret in the world, measuring 700 feet tall. 🌴Nothing better than go by moto and have to enjoy the sunset on a sand hill when it's getting dark . As there is not much light pollution here you can see the stars really bright by night . It's here I first realized the stars do move in the night " when you think logic you should have know but somehow idid not really realize it as I had never seen it " . Especially in good company you do not look up all the time but when you do you see the stars have moved already . 🌴🐫 A Walk in the oasis palms in merzouga desert dunes where the local familys from the village have their own garden with fruits and vegetables . The water they get from a well next to oasis . Every day another garden will take the water through the system you see in this picture . The gardens who don't get the water will close their garden from getting water which you can see on the picture between the two palm trees on the right . This way all the water will go to one garden and everyone will have enough . It's nice to see people working together to keep the oasis alive .
