the way the camera stays on derek during his shuffle though the hall to show the audience the pain he's in but also just how vulnerable he is. it also highlights just how young derek is. he blends right in with the high schoolers. not too long ago he was one of them right there in the same halls goofing off with his friends.
than the shot switches to him having put on the mask to intimidate jackson hiding his pain and desperation to find scott. it is [chef's kiss].

allison tried photography, painting and poetry but she says she's bad at them despite us seeing she wasn't bad simply a novice.
i get being a perfectionist but allison is only 17 and has clearly made several attempts at expressing her more artistic side over the years while being in gymnastics for eight years and nationally ranked in archery ---
gosh golly gee i wonder why a child became so discouraged and thought their creative endeavors weren't as worth pursuing over things that would eventually benefit the family business of hunting. /s
