because mystic flour is going to come out soon, I wanted to post about the implications of this one scene.

the slits in his eyes??? like all of the beasts have??? I remember everyone theorising that he was part-dragon or something because of this scene, but it was most likely him nearly becoming a beast.

Much like mystic flour, he briefly gave into the temptation of apathy. 🍎

It also ties in with his own virtue of resolution. He didn't care who he needed to hurt in order to resolve this problem, which twists how he views his own principles, but no one cares abt that part except me.

Also Dark Choco showed up

Not in the main story but in a memory thing you can unlock via the Treasure Chests

This seems to have been his battle with Pitaya (which Pitaya also mentions in a conversation with Purple Yam)

Also also, as you can see, in this fight Pitaya offers to free Dark Choco from his sword and give him a new one, but he declines. Like buddy I get you’re guilt ridden and partially possessed/being influenced, but you had an opportunity right there (he just like me fr)

But now I want someone to make an AU where Dark Choco takes Pitaya up on their offer, gets freed of his sword, and now gets the Lava Sword. Put it in either Ovenbreak or Kingdom, since that’s the one with his kingdom still there

Mystic Flour essentially warps Dark Cacao's morality and judgement, essentially reducing him to like he was back in "Snow on the Black Wall", she's like "ooohhh the only way to keep your kingdom safe is to isolate it from the rest of the world ooooohhh-", also if Dark Cacao and Dark Choco reunite, Mystic Flour would use his past with his son against him like "you want to keep him safe, right? you don't want to fail him again like you did before... do you..?" and bing bong ding dong Dark Choco gets locked up for his own "safety" and it's like "father please let me out" "no son it's not safe" ":(" *insert bwomp sound effect*
