Can we just talk about the Fannon Zanvis for a bit?

GUYS WHY DO ALL ZANVIS SHIPPERS MAKE THE SHIP SO TOXIC!? Like OH MY GOD. I hate the 'bottom uwu cat Zane' and 'top demon guy Travis'.

Okay Facts time.

One, Zane is defiantly NOT a bottom. That doesn't make sense. Sure, he likes cupcakes and has his moments and stuff, but he is generally a dark character. He can pull his own fight. Let's not forget that this guy can destroy a whole school if he wants to. He is good with words and can easily manipulate if needed (as proven in MCD). And he defiantly has a more masculine build. Stop doing this to him guys, i swear.

Two, what they hell are you guys doing to Travis?! This guy is literally so innocent if you think about it! He was only tainted 'cause of Dante teaching him how to be a cassanova! Keep in mind that this guy can't even last in a five minute argument without help! Not only that, but it has been described that Travis has a more feminine build in the story. Sure he is a demon warlock, but that doesn't make him a raging top! He doesn't even know that he is on MyStreet and would not trust anyone with that information! His height is between 6'3 and 6'4 and Zane's height is 6'4. Why are we making him a skyscraper compared to Zane? He was mistreated by his dad at random times, as implied in the end of season 6.

Three, THESE TWO ARE MORE OF A WHOLESOME, BEST FRIEND SHIP, NOT A SEXUAL ONE! I DON'T THINK EITHER OF THEM ARE OKAY WITH THAT! Zane just doesn't like physical interaction and Travis, while he can flirt with other people, he doesn't really know what to do when other people flirt with him. I'm pretty sure Travis had a form of Anxiety when he was younger!

Four, they both are BOYS! Not fem!boys or some weird sex demons. Like, HELLO???? How many relationships have you seen, where people act like...THAT!? NONE! NOT EVEN IN TV SHOWS!!!!! Please stop this! No one would act like that unless it all as a joke.

Five, what is with this, 'hey, I saw you look good at a sleepover so now i'm in love with you,'? Like huh??? Guys Travis is in love with Katelyn, even if the ship is kind of toxic in my opinion. He isn't just going to randomly change his mind. Love takes time, and develops slowly. Same with Zane, he won't randomly fall in love with the snap of his fingers. Again, it takes time. He gets to know the person more and more, like in starlight. He fell for Kawaii-chan after finding out the 'true' her, not the creepy persona she puts up sometimes. His feelings developed over time. And before that he was already good friends with her, enough to tell her what happened at the lodge. Like seriously?! Love doesn't work like that in real life!

Six, stop making Aphmau suddenly put them together and stuff in the sleepover clique. Yeah, she would probably do that, as a joke, and only when given an opportunity that makes sense! She would make sure they where comfortable! And stop making them go along with it! Like seriously, if they got together, no one would of expected that.

Seven, Garroth. Just Garroth. Yeah, he is overprotective of Zane. BUT HE WOULD NOT TREAT TRAVIS LIKE THAT OR PREVENT HIM FROM HANGING OUT FROM ZANE! Garroth knows when his brother his happy and excepts it, even if he doesn't like it. Yeah, he would threaten and stuff, but not as seriously. He would only prevent them if Travis was a bad person, and Garroth knows that Travis isn't. Like yes, he doesn't use his head most of the time, but he isn't dumb!

Eight, the depressed Zane zanvis stories. Yeah let's get into that hell hole.

Guys Zane isn't depressed, and even if he was, not to that level. Yes, he puts others happiness in front of his, but come on! And the whole, 'hey i'm Travis and I had a perfect life and I am going to help you get on your feet!'

....

Can I remind people that we don't actually know that much about Travis's past, or him in general. Like, doesn't that say anything to you? If Kawaii-chan had a past like hers, and she is one of the most bubbliest people on MyStreet, then what do you think? They make it seem like, 'hey my depression is gone when Travis is here.' Depression doesn't work like that. It takes time to get over, and sometimes people still have their moments even after getting over their depression. Do you really think Zane of all people would tell someone if he had depression? He wouldn't. I don't how people are making stories like this about depression. it is not okay, and inappropriate.

Nine, the fan art. Props to the people who get Travis's skin right. He is slightly tanned. Good job to them. Also. Zane is very pale. So to this people who make it accurate and not overly sexualized, I am very proud of you. Keep it up. Now, the other 99% of Zanvis fan art...oh boy...WHY IS EVERYTHING SO SEXUAL???? LIKE HELLO? THESE ARE APHMAU CHARACTERS? Like imagine a 12 year old sees the ship from that episode and was like, "Ooo~ I like this, imma search it up!" Yeah that's not going to end well. I speak from experience, that happened to me. That is not something you need to see when you are 12. People, just make some wholesome art, that doesn't make you want to erase your memories. And make it accurate!

Ten, just the fan base in general. Why is it so toxic? Don't attack people just because they ship something different. Don't make the internet more toxic than it already is. Like I like Zanvis and Garrence as much as I like the original ships like Zane-chan and Travlyn. Please. Just please don't. This is just too much. Just let people ship what they want without making them feel bad about it. Of course, there are some restrictions, like no toxic ships (Pedo-ships , inceast and stuff like that. Those are not okay). Please stop being mean to people. This is actually too much.

In conclusion, stop making a ship that has a lot of potential, toxic. This is not okay. This applies for all ships. It's ruining it for a lot of people. As someone who likes the ship, I find it disappointing. If someone can make this ship into the type of the ship it should be, then I will be SO grateful. So that it's not toxic in any way.

Chanceverse Questions!

Rules: Answer these ten questions and then tag 5 people! The only other person I know to tag doesn’t use their tumblr anymore and I’m pretty sure everyone else has been tagged? If you have read these books do it and tag me tho because I have to scream at you but in a fun way.

I was tagged by @windsurfingthroughhell to do this and if y’all don’t know this about me already I love the Cassie Palmer Series by Karen Chance and reccomend them to anyone who likes that sexy paranormal first person genre.

- If you could ask Karen Chance to write a novella/short based on one character or ship, what would it be?

I’m gonna set aside Cassie/Pritkin because I think enough people would ask for it that someone will have it covered for me (thank you) and go to a different favorite; please tell me a story about Marco and the rest of the bodyguards, maybe when they’re left at Dante’s alone, I’m beggin’.

- What is your favorite time traveling scene?

I think I died during the scene when Medieval!Pritkin was magicing up all those sex positions for her to choose from and they they got chased by the fae and he thought her name was Oh Shit. Fun times. That or the heartbreaking scene where she travels back in time to when she still had him to take him on an adventure and he’s like “where is the me of your time...? wait I don’t want to know”. Or that memorable naked lay line chase. Or... okay I’ll stop. (all of them my favorite is all of them)

- If you lived in the Chanceverse, what would you rather be: vampire, were, clairvoyant, or mage?

I would be a mage. Give me some spinny floating knives, vials of potions, a sawed off shotgun, and some combat spells and lets do this. (ง'̀-'́)ง

- If you could change anything from any storyline, what would it be?

I would remove the scene where Mac died. All of it. For reasons like Mac died and also for other things that happened that I don’t like thinking about. Plus it would be interesting to see what would happen if Mac lived longer. I loved Mac. I miss Mac.

- Which character would you most want to spend a day with, and what would you do?

It’s a toss up between Fred and Caleb. On one hand, that trash food and sass, which is conveniently exactly what we would do all day. On the other I kinda wanna give Caleb a hug and then, ya know, not die which he’s pretty good at doing for being one of the most normal characters (just your everyday deadly war mage I guess, unlike the half demon kind???). With Caleb we’d probably just chill, maybe play some video games or something. He’s a chill dude.

That or Jonas, so I can kick his ass for 24 hours straight. I’m still not over his asshole behavior in RtW. I loved him, I trusted him, he betrayed me. At least the other characters I don’t like I never liked.

- What are your: OTPs, BROTPs, NOTPs?

OTPs: Casskin and Rheco. Also, Cassanova/Money/Freedom. BROTPs: Pritkin & Caleb, Cassie & Billy, Cassie & Marco, Cassie & Françoise, Augustine & the Pythia not ruining his clothes. NOTPs: Mircea/Cassie, get that asshole away from my girl.

- Do you have any crackships? If so, what are they?

I almost shipped Cassanova/Caleb as either a brotp or crack otp at one point lmao

- What scene from either series made you laugh the hardest?

I just don’t know. There’s too much laughter here, I can’t pick out my favorite part. I can distinctly remember my fiance being concerned that I would choke and die because I was laughing so hard at the aforementioned Medieval!Pritkin’s attempted sexcapades scene. - What scene from either series made you cry the hardest?

I’m an asshole, I don’t cry at books 99% of the time.

- What are your unpopular opinions?

I... don’t know? I don’t spend enough time actually Participating in this fandom to know if my opinions are wrong or not? Oh, wait I know...

I don’t like Dory and can’t read the Dory books because she bothers me for some reason. *hides from the mob in an apartment with a master vampire pretending to be a human because he’s a spy and also a giant asshole*
