For a guy with 95% of his face covered, Brainstorm is very expressive. His tiny faces are some of the best.

I’m really interested to know more about your story with Damu and his family!!! :0 Do you have much information about it so far?

YES!! This might get long but ill try to like, shorten it but I THINK ABOUT IT A LOT

So like. Damu was one of the hyenas living in the outlands during the original movie. He didn’t really support Scar but like...there wasn’t really another choice. There was barely any food in the outland, and he was planning on having a family so he had to go along with it. He was actually Terrified of Scar and never talked to him directly. His mate, Banzai, didn’t really Get It but was like “That’s fine I’ll talk to him” 

During Scar’s rule, Damu was goin to have his first son(Who I decided in my story is Janja) but he just felt like, awful about how much worse things got so quickly. So any food he’d get he’d secretly share with the lionesses, especially the cubs and the pregnant lionesses. He helped them when he can and was one of the few hyenas that was actually like. Not mean. And understood the lionesses were doing their best.

During the events of Scar’s death, with the fire and everything, Banzai and many of the other hyenas actually died in the fire. Shenzi survived though because I like her too much to kill her Honestly. Even though Damu had nothing to do with any of this, and was able to have some of the lionesses vouch for him, Simba said that NO HYENAS EVER were allowed back EVER even if they’re NOT MEAN because SIMBAS A BASTARD. 

So like. They all went back to the outlands. There wasn’t too many of them left. So Shenzi helped Damu raise Janja until the outlands just because, too hard to live in. So her and the rest of the hyena clan left. Damu didn’t think his pup would survive the move, so he opted to just...stay there. A few other hyenas stayed behind(Like Jasiri’s mom) so that’s why there’s still young hyenas left in the outlands. 

When Janja got older and obviously stronger than Damu, he decided to just. Chase Damu out of the territory and take it over. Damu wasn’t gonna fight him so he just accepted it and left. He lived just, alone for a while. Eventually he met Mzingo. And they bonded over being like, scavengers. Mzingo would help Damu sneak into the Pridelands to get food as long as he provided protection, which he did. Eventually they just Kinda Started Dating. 

I don’t know how Hutch exists but he just kinda does. It’s a show with talking animals I do what I want.
