JujuBee revealing in the last Adventuring Party the Buddy Bear was inspired by her real cat that passed recently and she buried in the tree line, which is why she was so emotional when Buddy Bear was used to plant the seed really showcases how beautiful DnD can be. This story was truly such a wonderful way to immortalize the pet she clearly loved so much.

“You see the familiarity of someone that has a different relationship to life and death than you are used to seeing.”
I’m so glad Bob pointed out the sort of foil between Gertrude and Troyánn (her narrations are absolutely perfect). Like, Gertrude is centuries years old and has been fighting solely for herself since she was young but yearns for the peace in her final resting place. Troyánn is an assassin who kills for the freedom of her people and gives a final resting place to those that are marked.
Gertrude is someone that yearns for a final resting place while Troyánn gives it. Gertrude has been fighting for herself while Troyánn has been fighting for others.
I feel like Brennan pointing out that Troyánn’s seeing someone who has a different view on life and death is really important to their characters. Because is seems that, through this short time, these characters have already became close friends. Troyánn is used to killing the deserving. To see someone that yearns for death, but is undeserving of it, must bring out some confusion in her.
It’s only been an episode and the brainrot is already settling in. I would ramble more but I tend to just reiterate what’s already been stated lol (idk maybe emphasizing the important bits in my head to writing gets the excitement out)
I am excited for the next ep :)) (I lovee angsty characters but even more so when they interact with other angsty characters)

I like the way the relationship between Troyánn and Princess developed and their affinity was reflected. Spoilers for the season below.
Troyánn's reaction upon hearing that Kerwin spoke of killing Princess was to ask "My Princess?", perhaps to clarify for sure that it was the same Princess they spoke of, but it also feels like it carries such affinity. This is HER Princess they are speaking about, after all. And she refuses to pretend to go along with them killing Princess for even a second when offered, even if doing so would give her better assassination opportunities, her being a trained assassin herself, and even if the other players suggested playing along. It was a hopeless fight, two against one, one a tank that she could never take down by herself and another with a weapon designed to kill people like her. Still better than pretend to betray her friend like the uncle did.
Similarly, it feels like it rhymes when Princess is the one that kills Keena, wanting to protect Troyánn after being put nearly to death by the former. Even before attacking, she asks for Troyánn's consent, because she knows of her rivalry with her cousin, and Princess herself got to finish off her nemesis, so she wants to make sure this is something that is okay with Troyánn.
Troyánn protected Princess against Kerwin when his treachury was revealed, and in turn Princess protected her. Beautiful.
Obviously the Questing Queens quartet are all close and dear to each other after this adventure, but it is something extra sweet knowing that those two had a simple reportoire that was shown in small but significant ways.

Spoilers for "Welcome to the Underworld," the second episode of Dimension 20's Dungeons and Drag Queens--
Bob saying "emotional damage" ala Steven He, after Troyánn fails her wisdom saving throw made me chuckle sensibly. Jujubee struggling to add nine and ten, on the other hand, made me laugh out loud. Especially now that I know she makes much complicated computations faster later on.

These four queens being good friends outside of the game makes the discussions and debates on the table all the more funnier. And they're not afraid to shade each other! Such fun!
Monét getting so excited to describe her character's actions is also so fun. (And being so extra about it! I love it!) I feel like Brennan is having the time of his life with the creativity and initiative of his current players.
Did they put make-up on Brennan's beard, and then he accidentally wiped some off in between the first two episodes? 'Cause the goatee is looking lighter than the rest of the beard.
Monét realizing she had a spell that could've helped them avoid combat was hilarious.
And Jujubee is such a loose cannon. She is extraordinary! "I can disguise myself as a flashlight!"
Tumblr media
It is amazing that they had a whole ass conversation about how to get Twyla out from Gertrude's Darkness spell because she doesn't have dark vision--only to discover that as a gloom stalker, she is the only one (save for Gertrude) who can see through magic darkness.
In Lou Wilson's voice: THREE! NAT! ONES!
I want to know what Kiki's deal is. Does she know about Troyánn's mom?
Next week's "the time has come" is very triggering, Brennan. And I say that as someone who's just a casual viewer of Rupaul's Drag Race.

The move from Alaska to be like 'laryngitis lol' and then Brennan just fully following her lead and making all of the Foehammers allergic to CEDAR! Amazing work everyone.
