oh my god yeehawgust I almost forgot yeehawgust.... here's a quick sketch* of vampire curly from my ok19 vampire au for today's "dripping fangs" prompt. included the lineart only version as well bc I drew in a lot of little details that then got completely obscured once I added tone
*genuinely fully intended to be a quick sketch but then i got really obsessive about the exact shades of dark blue I should use and spent like an hour messing around with adjustment layers in photoshop. don't worry about it

CURLY MCLAIN from OKLAHOMA!
Gender identity: butch (he to others, she to Laurey) (whether he's a transmasc butch, a transfem butch, or a butch of some other gender is up to viewers choice)
Why would transition save them?: "It wouldn't necessarily save him, per se, since Curly's a pretty good character as is, but it'd make Laurey's dream sequence and choice between Jud (average cishet incel, only better looking, basically) and Curly (butch as a gender) more poignant and it'd arguably make the narrative implications of Curly's hatred of Jud more interesting." -mod @sunkern-plus

This scene & also what happened right before, because Curly was singing literally one inch away from Jud's face & gazing at his lips & I am officially aboard the Jud/Curly hatelust train. I wish there was a picture of it.
And then when Aunt Eller called out to them, they immediately changed body language & moved so their knees weren't touching anymore, & then slid off the table with postcoital lethargy.
