Horowitz: Confidential Pfizer document shows the company observed 1.6 million adverse events covering nearly every organ system
Daniel Horowitz
Over 10,000 categories of nearly 1.6 million adverse events – many of them serious and debilitating – brought to you by Pfizer!
You might not have heard it in the news, but in recent months, Pfizer’s pharmacovigilance documents requested by the European Union’s drug regulator, the European Medicines Agency, have been released. They show that Pfizer knew about a sickening level of injury early on. An August 2022 document shows that the company already had observed the following scope of vaccine injury:
508,351 individual case reports of adverse events containing 1,597,673 events;
One-third of the AEs were classified as serious, well above the standard for safety signals usually pegged at 15%;
Women reported AEs at three times the rate of men;
60% of cases were reported with either “outcome unknown” or “not recovered,” so many of the injuries were not transient;
Highest number of cases occurred in the 31-50 year age group, and 92% did not have any comorbidities, which makes it very likely it was the vaccine causing such widespread, sudden injury.
These numbers alone suggest that all COVID shots should be defunded and Congress must immediately remove liability protections from the manufacturers. But a more recent document released by the Europeans is even more devastating, because it breaks down the 1.6 million adverse events observed by Pfizer by category and subcategory of ailment and injury.
The 393-page confidential Pfizer document, dated Aug. 19, 2022, shows that Pfizer observed over 10,000 categories of diagnosis, many of them very severe and very rare. For example:
Pfizer was aware of 73,542 cases of 264 categories of vascular disorders from the shots. Many of them are rare conditions.
There were hundreds of categories of nervous system disorders, totaling 696,508 cases.
There were 61,518 AEs from well over 100 categories of eye disorders, which is unusual for a vaccine injury.
Likewise, there were over 47,000 ear disorders, including almost 16,000 cases of tinnitus, which even Mayo Clinic researchers observed as a common but often devastating side effect early on.
There were roughly 225,000 cases of skin and tissue disorders.
There were roughly 190,000 cases of respiratory disorders.
Disturbingly, there were over 178,000 cases of reproductive or breast disorders, including disorders you wouldn’t expect, such as 506 cases of erectile dysfunction in men.
Very disturbingly, there were over 77,000 psychiatric disorders observed following the shots, lending credence to Dr. Peter McCullough’s research observing case studies showing psychosis correlating with vaccination.
3,711 cases of tumors – benign and malignant
Of course, there were almost 127,000 cardiac disorders, running the gamut of about 270 categories of heart damage, including many rare disorders, in addition to myocarditis.
There were over 100,000 blood and lymphatic disorders, for both of which there’s a wealth of literature linking them to the spike protein.
When reading what Pfizer knew early on juxtaposed to independent studies, it’s clear that nobody could have mistaken most of these AEs for mere incidental ailments. Here is a list of 3,129 case studies chronicling vaccine injury in every organ system observed in this Pfizer document.
What is so jarring is that there are hundreds of very rare neurological disorders that reflect something so systemically wrong with the shots, a reality that was clearly of no concern to the manufacturers and regulators alike. One of the infamous cases of vaccine injury was Maddie de Garay, an Ohio teen who became disabled for life immediately after participating in the Pfizer clinical trial. Her story is chronicled in chapter 16 of my book. I checked this confidential document and found that they knew of 68 cases of her rare diagnosis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.

I’ve been living with Long Covid now for over two and a half years. My symptoms include trouble breathing, tachycardia, ennervation, tinnitus, and trouble focusing. When I wake up, I don’t feel rested. My body feels poisoned—drugged and leaden. My brain feels like it’s on fire and not in the good way. My energy is like a small glass of water that I have to make last all day, shepherding my sips. This has impacted my ability to work and think and live and be. And in the world of Long Covid, I’m on the milder side. I’m grateful I can still write on good days.
I’m a researcher at heart so for two years I’ve read about Covid and post-viral syndromes. A few things are clear: the initial Covid infection may be "mild," but the longterm effects can be anything but. Cardiac issues, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer’s… the list of ways that Covid can manifest is scary and long and still unfolding. But there is hope: masking works. Ventilation and testing work. Vaccines reduce the severity of the initial illness and slightly reduce the risk of Long Covid. We need public health leadership that embraces all of these.
To those struggling with Long Covid and other chronic conditions: I am sending you strength. I have family with chronic illness, so I was aware of the gaslighting and alienation that all too often come with that, but experiencing it firsthand has been eye-opening. I want to thank all the health care workers and researchers who are listening, and working diligently to make things better. And thanks also to those who still take precautions indoors, and make it safer for those of us who are more vulnerable to be there.
This time is so hard for everyone. I see how tired and stressed people feel. Talking about chronic illness is upsetting, so thank you for listening. I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone to feel the way I’ve felt, not for a single day, let alone years. The risk for Long Covid is around 10 to 15 percent of cases, and seems to go up the more times you get it. Please take care of each other.
Much love to you all, and thank you again for your kindness and support.

Covid Tinnitus Treatment
Covid Tinnitus Treatment – How to Treat Tinnitus if you get it after Covid or the Covid Vaccine
Everyone today i’ve got joey remini she’s a vestibular audiologist and neuroplasticity specialist and i’ve got her here today to talk about how some people are experiencing tinnitus symptoms that have come on after having having had covered or having gotten a vaccine.
This video is sponsored by new a health and wellness program that focuses on teaching you the psychology behind building healthy habits now what i love about new is that unlike diets that focus on good and bad foods and counting calories instead focuses on teaching you the why behind your behaviors and then how to create new healthy sustainable habits that stick teaches you how to listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues.
How to change your mindset and how to work through stress without emotional eating now this is really important because a diet is a set up for failure they just don’t work in the long run so instead new focuses on helping you change your relationship with food so that you can find peace and lasting change and it’s research backed the university of sydney’s medical center ranked number one out of 800 programs evaluated as being the most effective program is offering a one week trial for you.
Today if you sign up using the link in the description it only takes five to ten minutes to see lasting results so go ahead give it a try click out the link below to take your health survey and start your custom program today some people are experiencing tinnitus symptoms that have come on after having um having had coveted or having gotten a vaccine is that something you’re seeing a lot of yeah i’m hearing i’m getting people calling in they’re distressed they’re freaking out they’re like no one can explain this and i have these distressing tinnitus sounds in my ears in my body and it’s after getting covered or after getting the covered vaccine so yes we are seeing this.
Read more: What does tinnitus sound like? (tinnitus noises)
It’s it’s i mean the moral of this video is to say it’s nothing to be distressed about it is a change to your body and when we experience any virus or any vaccine our immune system is responding there are changes within our biological system and any change within our biology changes the way our body produces sound and these are healthy sounds healthy body sounds.
Which usually we just phase out and filter out and tune out because they’re not important to us and the number one way tinnitus starts so tinnitus is the sounds in the ears or the head that nobody else can hear they’re internal sounds they’re private it usually starts with a head cold you know a nasal cold or an you know some kind of sinus infection or people get their ears syringed out by the doctor.
There’s you know changing uncomfortable sensations and sounds around the ears and then they kind of focus there and then they check in there and then they monitor there and then for the next week they’re like is it still there is it still there so there’s um even some people get tinnitus just when a friend talks about it they’re like.
Oh okay i’ve never noticed sounds in my ears and then they start going do i have it so it’s like this shift in awareness of background sound that’s actually always been there and it’s healthy that can then shift from being in no man’s land in the back of our brain where we don’t notice it so it essentially doesn’t exist and then it shifts through our attention filters and suddenly it’s like right there so it could be pinging it could be popping it could be clicking it could be squishing it could be static roaring like there’s it’s all normal whatever you hear is your inner body sound and so for people who have experienced covert.
They’ve had these huge changes to their biology their immune systems working overtime their vital organs are working more strongly and if you think about any mechanical system whether it’s a car a dishwasher a washing machine anything there’s sound that is produced through that mechanical process through moving parts and the biological mechanisms also have lots of moving parts lots of fluid moving.
You know there’s joints and bones and but at a micro level there’s lots of neurological movements and our immune system is sending immune messages up and down the body working really hard to keep us safe and help us heal a byproduct of that is an increased amount of sound.
Covid Tinnitus Treatment
If you add on to that just regular normal immune response an intense attention to the sound a distrust of the sound a dislike of the sound a confusion of the sound and a feeling of i’m abnormal i shouldn’t hear this nobody can explain it to me i didn’t hear this last week why am i suddenly hearing it.
Now i didn’t have this when i was a little girl why am i hearing it now this must be a sign covered’s getting worse this must be a sign i’m a weak person or i’m sick or something so all of these questions are a unhelpful and b inaccurate your body sound is normal it’s okay to hear tinnitus after covert it’s okay to hear tinnitus after a covered vaccine so the best thing to do about it would be a get educational montana to citizen i would probably say read read my book.
I just wrote for that very reason there’s not many reliable resources out there for tinnitus and that’s why i wrote this book rocksteady you can learn about your anatomy you can learn about your brain you can learn about how the neurons communicate to the brain and what you can do to actually rewire the mapping of your neurons change what your body’s hearing and sensing change what your body’s feeling and you can adapt to a completely new normal what does that mean it’s reversible you might have tinnitus today that doesn’t mean.
You’ll have it for a week or a year or a month you can change your brain and you can change the way those sounds manifest and the way those sounds perpetuate the worst thing we can do is worry about it talk about it focus on it try and get rid of it right so start with education learn about it learn to not be afraid of it and if you feel like you want to use neuroplasticity to develop a new normal and go back to a new sense of peace calm confidence and ease in your body you can simply do that by having a daily practice that teaches how to remap your body how to remap your brain.
You’re in control of the process and neuroplasticity is like any skill that you can learn so a lot of people for a lot of people this is the first time they’re really noticing their tinnitus or the first time they’re really experiencing it and it makes them wonder what’s the matter with me and then the more they focus on it the worse it feels and they get stuck in this cycle of it just getting maybe perhaps feeling worse or not going away and then feeling more upset about it so most people have been given zero education about what to do about tinnitus.
They just don’t know that there are practical skills they can use to learn to heal from tinnitus and and to be honest that includes doctors and even audiologists a lot of health professionals have not chosen to specialize in tinnitus and what it is and what to do about it so because that hasn’t been their kind of educational choice they’re like oh well you know there’s nothing you can do live with it because that’s for them that’s their reality but that’s the only skills they know that’s the only skills they’re aware of correct well.
Read more: All-natural Remedies for Ringing In The Ears
I was going to say in order to overwrite so surrender and acceptance is kind of like one step that may not that may not be everything to completely overcome the tinnitus right but it’s super important the next step would be saying well what i i don’t want to feel and hear the tinnitus all day long i need something else to focus on are you.
I say to people with obsessive-compulsive disorder use that as a as a skill that benefits you get obsessive about feeling calm get obsessive about feeling at ease and connected and peace in your body and focus on that every day and every moment of the day and obsess over that so that’s what your brain actually puts more energy and more neural patterning and neural firing into yeah because otherwise we can become obsessive over our symptoms and things.
We hate and things we don’t like and we end up perpetuating what we don’t want right so we want to shift our focus obsessively into how can i get into my body this feeling of calm and confidence in ease so right so we shift out of the head into the body and then the neuroplasticity um therapy really begins to take place and we automate a new normal and before you know it you’ll forget you ever had tinnitus.
You won’t ever think about it again and you’ll create a completely new normal and you’ll feel back in your body and you’ll feel good again so we can change the brain by using these um neuroplasticity techniques which actually you design so it’s a very personal process yeah and that’s such an uplifting message because we like each person has an innate ability to heal and experiencing a new symptom or a new um sensation like tinnitus can be really alarming.
But what you’re describing is basically this experience of a new sensation of tinnitus can be a pathway to learn a bunch of new skills that can heal your relationship with yourself and with your other sensations as well and yeah and there are some really practical skills that you know you have free resources for in your website and in your book simple things that can people could even practice in probably what if they did 15 minutes a day of a body scan would that be helpful that would be plenty.
I often recommend start with so five minutes of your chosen neuroplasticity exercises three times a day is like a nice kind of beginner’s way to just dive into the process if you’re really new to this but i’ve had i’ve had chronic tinnitus obviously a lot of my clients have that come and see me and they not only overcome and heal the tinnitus they they get better knowledge of themselves and more loving kindness and respect towards themselves their entire relationship to life changes.
So i feel like neuroplasticity forces us into non-judgment self-compassion self-kindness acceptance surrender and really allowing life to flow in the direction that we choose we take back so much control by letting go it’s like it is paradoxical well that’s that’s awesome and i think that gives a lot of hope to people who are experiencing these these sensations um maybe for the first time or noticing them for the first time though some really practical steps are things.
I get you know educated from a good source where um like your book or other resources that offer some hope that don’t just tell you you know this is uh there’s nothing you can do about it because they don’t know what there is to do about it and then learn to practice some practical skills they sound impossible but skills of acceptance and surrender learning to uh get into your body with the body scan practicing loving kindness and then some of these other neuroplasticity exercises these can all help with this process of resolving those.
Uh you know the discomfort around tinnitus yeah and i know on emma’s channel and on my youtube channel there are more free discussions about tinnitus what to do about it how to overcome it so just immerse yourself in some of this proactive conversation so that you don’t feel powerless helpless hopeless it doesn’t matter if you got tinnitus from covert or from the vaccine the cause doesn’t matter the process of healing is exactly the same as anybody else with tinnitus.
i have seen time and time again regardless of diagnosis people overcome it by changing their brains and changing their relationship to themselves it’s always coming back to that neural signal that needs to be changed that we’re in control of this is the exciting piece we’re in control of how we relate to the sound we’re hearing and that’s how we change the long term firing patterns of the sound signal we can diminish them just like having a remote control and turning the volume down.
We can learn how to do that on the inside using our neural patterning and neural maps so it’s very practical it’s very methodical it’s not a miracle and anybody can do it from home awesome that is so great so helpful for us thank you so much for sharing those resources.
I will definitely put the link in the description to your book and to the uh other resources you have on your website so thank you so much joey thanks for being here it’s my absolute pleasure thanks again to noom for sponsoring this video thank you for watching and take care.

chronic tinnitus is a rare side effect of the pfizer covid-19 vaccine. if you have received a pfizer vaccine without experiencing this issue it is safe for you to get another dose, but if this has affected you get in contact with an ENT immediately, as treatment for tinnitus is less effective the longer you wait. report your case to pfizer and keep track of the timeline/any medical records with as much detail as possible

Effect of COVID and Vaccination: Tinnitus
In some people, COVID makes their tinnitus worse or even causes it to be activated. Additionally, those with tinnitus have difficulties as a result of the pandemic's forced lifestyle adjustments. Tinnitus is the perception of noise in the ears and head, such as ringing. It causes despair and anxiety, as well as a decrease in emotional well-being. Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) has been documented as a side effect of the coronavirus vaccine. Nobody should have to suffer as a result of surviving the fatal illness; call us right now at +1 (469) 545-9983 to schedule an appointment.

Newest Covid-19 Vaccine Side-Effects on Tinnitus

Newest Covid-19 Vaccine Side-Effects on Tinnitus
Newest Covid-19 Vaccine Side-Effects on Tinnitus
Hello and welcome, this is episode 16 of the Pure Tinnitus and Hearing Podcast. Today we are with Dr. Bob DiSogra. Dr. DiSogra is a former Adjunct Professor and lecturer of Pharmacology at University of Pacific, Salus University and Kean University.
Newest Covid-19 Vaccine Side-Effects on Tinnitus
We are here today to talk about over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements for tinnitus, side effects of COVID-19 and side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine, how that affects tinnitus.
Additionally, we’re going to talk about the relationship between antidepressant, prescription medications, their effect on tinnitus and last but not least, the drugs FX-322, OTO-313 and other drugs that are being researched to help treat hearing loss, which could improve tinnitus. Dr. DiSogra, tell us how you’re doing, where you’re coming from and how you serve the audiology community.
Well, thank you Ben for inviting me this afternoon, I really appreciate this a great opportunity for me to put some good solid information out to your viewers about tinnitus and the different causes and management.
I’m in Millstone, New Jersey. I’m in Central New Jersey, I’ve had a private practice in Freehold for over 30 years and I think this is my 43rd year in audiology. So, I’ve had some clinical work, research work, industrial work, I’ve had a wide variety of audiology, different backgrounds and different jobs in audiology.
But the private practice was my bread and butter for 30 years in Freehold and the teaching opportunities came along. So, I’ve been blessed, I really have. So, I’m really here to help your audience with any answers to the questions that they might have through you about over-the-counter tinnitus relief products and dietary supplements.
So, let’s get the party started. – Yeah, let’s get started by talking about over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements that are marketed, labeled for helping tinnitus. I’m very active in the online tinnitus community and one of the common posts people make in the Facebook groups are a picture of an advertisement and saying, hey, has anyone tried this, does this work?
You are an expert in the prescription drugs, you’re an expert in medications and classifying their validity on tinnitus as well as hearing loss. So, give us the quick overview on, what are the takeaway points you want someone to know about over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements for tinnitus?
– Well, the first takeaway is the fact that the food and drug administration classifies, dietary supplements as food. And as food, it does not have to go through the rigorous evidence-based research, that pharmaceuticals have to go through to get approval by the FDA for safety and efficacy, or does it work, okay?
Read more: Tinnitus & Covid-19 Vaccine Side Effects
So what happens is that you have a food product and there are a lot of gray areas in the law when it comes to marketing these products for whatever the manufacturer is intending the product to be used for. So according to federal law, if I’m a manufacturer of a dietary supplement, in order for me to sell this product in the United States, I have to notify the FDA, fill out some documentation and register my company.
So when I get the approval to sell the product, my company is FDA registered, not the product for tinnitus. What happens is that, when I get that okay to sell the product, technically I’m cleared to sell the product. So I have the green light and the blessings of the FDA to sell the product. Now, so here I am I want to sell this product, I don’t have to provide any proof at all to the FDA about safety and efficacy.
So, I want to attract people to buy the product, so I will use words like, well, my product is FDA registered and my product is FDA approved, so prove for sale. The company is registered with the FDA, it’s not approved for tinnitus. There are over 80 products available on the market right now, from my research that are FDA registered, but none of them, zero, none of them are FDA approved for tinnitus.
So, when you purchase a product that’s marketed and it’s pretty slick marketed, when you purchase a product that’s marketed for tinnitus relief, keep in mind several things. It may not be a safe product, there may be ingredients in that product, that may be harmful, harmful for pregnant women, may be harmful for patients that have cardiovascular disease, there is no system of checks and balances.
So, the good news here is that if there is an adverse reaction to a dietary supplement, whether it’s for tinnitus or whatever else it’s being used for, including any essential oils, the FDA has a special program called the MedWatch program, M E D, MedWatch program. And you can go online to the FDA website, they know, just key in, MedWatch, and I think it’s 1-800-MedWatch is the phone number. And you can report this any adverse event that you have to the FDA and hopefully they will follow through.
Now, given the fact that of all of the different issues that we have in this country right now, where is tinnitus on the list of importance? So, there may be some delay in getting a response to that. So, there is a system of checks and balances to consumers, if they’re not satisfied with the product or they have an adverse reaction to the dietary supplement.
And what’s even more interesting here, Ben is that, the MedWatch program is the same program that you voluntarily report an adverse reaction to a pharmaceutical, to an FDA approved pharmaceutical. So the MedWatch program covers prescription drugs and over-the-counter supplements.
– Okay so, when we’re walking this through for someone who is online looking for tinnitus help, we have to remember that when they search on Google for anything related to tinnitus, typically the first few posts that show up on the feed are advertisements. And I’ve of course searched tinnitus may times, many of the people looking for help are then hit with these advertisements for herbal supplements.
So Bob, how would you advise someone who is interested in taking a pill for tinnitus, if they come into your clinic and they say, hey doc, are there any pills I can take for tinnitus? Is there anything I can eat or any kind of herbal supplement that might work? How do you counsel them? – First thing I let them know is what I just said in the beginning, there are no FDA approved products for tinnitus relief. So, really at that point I try to empower my patients to make an informed decision, how they want to spend their money. (Click here to read full document)

Covid has hit our household. Though, I'm a little late in typing this here, because I don't like typing blog posts on my phone very much, and I've been in bed trying to take it easy. I've been (until recently) the sickest. Thankfully, nobody in this household had to go to the hospital despite my parents refusing to vaxx themselves.
My husband is double-vaxxed and boosted, and as a result he's had the least severe, short-lived symptoms. But when he had the symptoms, he went and got a PCR test. The other day, he received a notification that said test came back negative.
I'm double-vaxxed, but won't be able to get boosted until the end of February at the earliest (had to wait for the 6 months since my second jab, plus I don't wanna deal with the side-effects while on my period). The second day of symptoms, when they were probably at their worst, my husband had brought home 2 packs of take-home rapid tests. I took mine and it came back negative.
The next day, my mom had symptoms, and she took the second test from the first kit and it came back positive, then went to a rapid testing station the next day for kind of a second opinion through a second test so we're not blasting through these expensive things at home, and that, too, came back positive. The fact that she tested positive but my husband and I have not might be due to our vaccinations causing a much lower viral load that couldn't be detected.
Currently, my dad is weak, having trouble catching his breath, is cold, just all around miserable. He refuses the test and gets very uppity about it very quickly, and when my husband went for the PCR test, he threatened my husband that he'd break his arm if he came anywhere near him with a test swab. (My husband didn't even mention to my dad about getting tested, my dad just outright said that unprovoked.)
I'm currently fine with a little cough and a runny-ish nose lingering, but this could also be due to the weather and how dry the air is, since I'm usually like this every winter. But I suffered the worst of the symptoms for some reason (up until dad got sick), having nothing higher than a 101.4 F fever (axillary/armpit thermometer measurement) at one point, a bad headache, some high blood pressure, fatigue, a cough, sore throat, and a fucked up appetite.
Currently, I pray and hope that the vaccine and my vitamin D supplements have kept me from getting any sort of long-term health damage from this. At one point, my left eye was hurting while my left ear felt muffled with roaring tinnitus. I was prepared to accept my fate of losing hearing in that ear, sight in that eye, or both, if that were to be the worst long-term health damage. Such a result does not warrant regular medication I'm not guaranteed constant access to, which was why I would be fine with it. But so far, it seems like ocular roseacea and an inner/middle ear + sinnus issue and that pretty much all went away.
Since I plan to see more doctors after I get my booster shot anyways, I intend to requests tests for any micro-clots, damage, etc. from covid to catch it early and be on the safe side.
I'm still confident I'll be able to garden this year, but I've had to come to a compromise and make the decision to prepare to raise chickens (I'll elaborate in a separate post). By that point, I should have seen a doctor already about my diet, about what all I can and cannot eat, and then adjust our grocery list accordingly. My lack of strength largely stems from my lack of eating a lot, since we are poor, and I'm sticking with what I know is safe for my body. I would love to get soy into my diet since soy milk and tofu would help a lot, but after having endometriosis diagnosed (and not sure if I have any left), I'm not sure how my body would handle it. I also would like to reintroduce some cheese back into my diet, since I need the fat from dairy cheese to help put some weight on me, but I need to find out if that will be safe, and what amounts I should start with. (I'm fine with having nothing but swiss cheese, just as long as it's something to help my body.)
My lack of eating decently might have contributed to the severity of my symptoms when I actively had covid. Unfortunately, a KN95 mask is a luxury my husband and I cannot afford. We'll have to stick with the cloth masks we still have because we literally have no other option. I'll finish hemming my first neck gaiter soon to wear over my cloth mask for an added layer to prevent me spreading anything.
Covid sucks, but capitalism sucks more because the ruling class cares more about the stupid fucking piece of shit economy than they do human lives.

12 Possible Causes of Ringing in Ears, Dizziness, Pressure in Head
New Post has been published on https://depression-md.com/12-possible-causes-of-ringing-in-ears-dizziness-pressure-in-head/
12 Possible Causes of Ringing in Ears, Dizziness, Pressure in Head
Tumblr media
Dizziness and ringing in the ears that interfere with your daily activities are also known by the medical terms vertigo and tinnitus. These symptoms can make it hard to work, relax, and even sleep. Pain and pressure in your head or sinuses can have the same effects.
These symptoms can sometimes be signs of minor issues, such as sinus infections or headaches. But when these symptoms are severe or won’t go away, they may need immediate medical attention.
Read on to learn 12 possible causes of ringing in your ears, dizziness, and pressure in your head, and what you can do about them.
Inflammation of your sinuses caused by infection is commonly known as sinusitis.
Short-lived sinusitis cases are often caused by viral infections, like the common cold. Chronic sinusitis may be the result of a bacterial infection.
The main symptoms of sinusitis are:
sinus pressure
thick, colored drainage from your nose
congestion
cough
fatigue
Home remedies
You can treat a minor case of sinusitis at home with rest, fluids, and OTC pain relievers, such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen.
Medical treatment
If your sinus infection persists, you may need to take antibiotics to treat it.
In some rare cases, chronic sinusitis results from polyps in the sinuses. Your doctor may recommend surgery to remove them.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that headache is the most common form of pain. Doctors have identified more than 150 types of headache disorders.
Common headache triggers include:
poor posture
dehydration
stress
weather or changes in air pressure
drinking alcohol
bright or strong lights
The type of pain you’re experiencing can often tell you what type of headache you have. For example, feeling like a tight band is stretched around your head might mean you have a tension headache. Tension headaches are often caused by pressure changes or poor posture.
Home remedies
Rest and OTC pain relievers can often help with minor headache symptoms. You can also try applying a cold compress across your forehead or the back of your neck.
Other treatments may include:
managing stress
avoiding headache triggers, such as alcohol or flashing lights
Medical treatment
Some prescription medications may help prevent or ease headaches, including:
Described by many as a “ringing in the ears,” tinnitus is often caused by damage to the middle or inner ear. Certain headache disorders can also cause a ringing in the ears.
Tinnitus can seem worse at night when you’re trying to sleep.
Home remedies
Distracting noises, including low-volume music or a fan, can sometimes make tinnitus feel more manageable.
Stress management and exercise may help, too.
Medical treatment
Biofeedback and antidepressant drugs may help ease tinnitus symptoms.
Hearing aids can also help if you’re having trouble with conversations and everyday sounds because of tinnitus.
Vertigo is a sense of dizziness that can feel like you or your surroundings are spinning.
Vertigo is more of a symptom than its own condition. But an inner ear disorder called benign positional vertigo (BPV) can bring on dizziness, nausea, and related symptoms.
Home remedies
If you’re experiencing vertigo, you can try resting or marching in place until the sensation goes away.
If BPV is the problem, you can learn exercises that are meant to restore balance within the ear. Talk with a medical professional about trying this therapy. They might teach you a head exercise to move the small crystals of calcium carbonate in your ear that cause BPV.
Medical treatment
Medications such as antihistamines and beta-blockers can help if your symptoms are severe.
Vestibular migraine is a type of migraine that doesn’t necessarily cause a headache but can cause symptoms such as vertigo and lightheadedness.
You won’t always know what causes vestibular migraine, but you can learn some of its common triggers. These include:
stress
fatigue
certain foods and beverages, like chocolate, red wine, and coffee
Home remedies
Stay hydrated and get enough sleep to help lower your risk of vestibular migraine episodes. Migraine triggers vary from person to person, so learning to identify and avoid your own triggers can provide further relief.
Medical treatment
Prescription drugs that treat migraine may also help reduce vestibular migraine symptoms, such as:
beta-blockers
triptans
anti-seizure drugs
calcium channel blockers
CGRP antagonists
Another condition that causes both vertigo and tinnitus is Meniere’s disease. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), this condition affects more than half a million people in the United States. Meniere’s disease is the result of fluid changes in the inner ear.
Home remedies
Rest and stress management can help with the symptoms of Meniere’s disease. You can also try making changes to your diet to limit your salt and sugar intake, and prevent fluid buildup.
Medical treatment
Motion sickness and anti-nausea medications can help. You might also benefit from diuretics that reduce fluid levels in your body.
Your symptoms might also be caused by Grave’s disease, an autoimmune disease that affects your thyroid gland. Grave’s disease can trigger feelings of pressure behind your eyes.
Medical treatment
Antithyroid drugs and radioactive iodine therapy may help reduce your symptoms.
You can get a concussion after a blow to the head, or after whiplash, an injury that causes your head to move back and forth unusually fast. A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that requires medical attention.
Home remedies
A doctor’s evaluation is critical if you think you might have a concussion.
During a concussion, rest and OTC pain relievers may help relieve the initial pain and disorientation. After a concussion, stay in a dark, quiet place, and avoid stimulation from lights and sounds.
Medical treatment
The only way to treat a concussion is to rest and avoid contact sports and other activities that may threaten the head. Your doctor will still want to monitor you for signs of bleeding or swelling while you recover. These signs might mean you need treatment for a more serious injury.
The thought of a tumor can be frightening, but not all tumors are cancerous.
For example, an acoustic neuroma is a benign tumor in the brain. While usually harmless, an acoustic neuroma can grow and put pressure on important nerves.
Medical treatment
Treatment isn’t always necessary, but radiation can sometimes help to shrink the tumor. This type of targeted radiation is called stereotactic radiosurgery.
Regular monitoring with an MRI scan is also important. This will make sure that the tumor doesn’t grow to a large size that can disrupt nerve activity and brain function.
An ischemic stroke happens when a blood vessel supplying blood to brain tissue is blocked or the arteries supplying blood narrow significantly.
An ischemic stroke is a medical emergency. Seek treatment right away if you believe you’re having the symptoms of this kind of stroke, such as:
Medical treatment
During an ischemic stroke, tissue plasminogen activators are given to dissolve blood clots. Surgical devices also exist that can break up clots and restore healthy blood flow.
General treatment approaches to prevent ischemic stroke include:
oral blood thinners, such as aspirin
blood pressure control
lowering cholesterol
certain lifestyle changes, like quitting smoking, losing weight, and increasing physical activity
An aneurysm is a weakness in the wall of a blood vessel. When an aneurysm bursts, the result is a hemorrhagic stroke.
An aneurysm is sometimes the result of high blood pressure. An aneurysm is much more dangerous than an ischemic stroke.
This condition must be treated as a medical emergency.
Medical treatment
Medications to reduce blood pressure and slow bleeding may help.
In severe cases, you may need surgery to repair the damaged artery.
According to the American Cancer Society, the chance for a person of developing a malignant brain tumor in their lifetime is less than 1 percent. In other words, it’s a pretty rare occurrence.
That said, regular brain scans are critical to detect brain tumors early on. This is especially true if you have a family history of brain cancer or are undergoing treatment for a cancer that may have spread to your brain.
Talk with a doctor if you have any concerns.
Medical treatment
Surgery is the most common treatment for brain cancer. If the tumor cannot be safely removed surgically, chemotherapy or radiation therapy may be necessary.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that an intense headache is a possible symptom of COVID-19.
COVID-19 is a rare and unlikely cause of your symptoms. But this is possible, especially if you live in an area with major COVID-19 outbreaks and are not vaccinated.
A 2020 study in the Journal of Headache and Pain found that headaches associated with COVID-19 tended to be:
long-lasting
on both sides of the head
resistant to OTC pain relievers
associated with loss of taste or smell
associated with digestive symptoms
Pay close attention to the signals your body sends you, especially when you’re feeling dizzy or lightheaded, or feeling pain or pressure in your head.
These symptoms are often signals of conditions that could affect your brain function. Discuss them with a doctor if they happen often or continuously throughout the day or week.
If you can’t see a primary care physician, go to the emergency room or an urgent care center for severe symptoms or symptoms that won’t go away.

Covid-19 Vaccine & Tinnitus Success Stories
Covid-19 Vaccine & Tinnitus Success Stories
Hello, everyone, and welcome to the “May 2021 Newsletter For Pure Tinnitus.” This is Dr. Ben Thompson. We’re here for the monthly Pure Tinnitus video newsletter on this YouTube channel. Thanks for being here.
Covid-19 Vaccine & Tinnitus Success Stories
As you can see, I’m in a new area, a new place. I’m actually over at my friend’s house. She is starting a new YouTube channel about women’s reproductive health. And I came over to help film her first videos with my camera and lighting setup, and help her with some of the strategy and organization for starting that channel.
So that’s why I’m in this new place. And I wanted to make this newsletter video for May of this year. On the first Sunday of each month, I make this video news letter to cover recent tinnitus news, some of the most important topics that have happened over the past month, and some recap, and answer questions about the recent videos that I released here on my YouTube channel.
You can also expect on the second Sunday of every month, there is a new video podcast episode released where I interview other specialists, doctors, and professionals who work in the tinnitus space. And finally, every Tuesday you can expect a new video to be released here, to educate you about tinnitus.
The first topic that I wanted to address is tinnitus, COVID, and the COVID-19 vaccine. I released a video in the end of April about COVID-19 and the effects it can have on tinnitus. I created a poll on my YouTube channel under the community tab, which asks, “If you received the COVID-19 vaccine, “did it negatively change your tinnitus “for longer than a five-day period?”
Make sure you check that poll and answer if you have already received the COVID vaccine. I’ll be releasing that poll information coming up. Next week, on this channel, you can find the video podcast episode with Dr. Robert DiSogra who is an audiologist, very well-versed in the pharmaceutical drugs for tinnitus, herbal supplements, and the recent trends with the COVID-19 pandemic, and how it relates to tinnitus.
Read more: Tinnitus & Covid-19 Vaccine Side Effects
If you have experienced changes in your tinnitus, related to COVID, check out all of those resources. And if you have any additional questions, write a comment and we’ll do our best to answer that. Switching it up now a little bit, hope you’re still with me, I want to talk about success stories for tinnitus. If you go on the internet, you will find that some individuals are sharing their success story because many people with tinnitus do get better, recover, habituate.
That’s what I try to guide all of my patients through who find me on telehealth @puretinnitus.com. When I’m considering publishing a success story of one of my patients, one of my clients, one thing I’ve realized, partially studying tinnitus retraining therapy with Dr. Jastreboff and getting a good analysis of the existing success stories out there, is that I want to see sustained success.
And what that means is a reduction in the severity of tinnitus, and potentially a reduction in the volume of tinnitus as well. But for some individuals who experience temporary improvement in a relatively short time period, I don’t want to publish that success because it may be premature.
And my intention here is to be wise about this and to show that the real success is sustained benefit with tinnitus treatment, not a temporary period of silence or reduction of symptoms for a shorter period of time.
So keep your eyes out because in the next few months, I’m hoping to release some of these success stories and potentially have some of my patients who I’ve worked with, for a longer period of time now via telehealth @puretinnitus.
Potentially, we have them on to share their story. And I would have made sure that they’ve been with me for about six months, before I would consider publishing that. Next thing to talk about here is that sound therapy is a big part of tinnitus care. And there’s different ways to find the right kind of sound therapy.
Read more: Extremely Powerful Tinnitus Sound Therapy
In my online telehealth practice with Pure Tinnitus, I’ve recently started recommending ear level sound generators for patients who have hearing in the normal range, but are looking to follow the tinnitus retraining therapy protocols. Ear level sound generators look like hearing aids, but they have no amplification features. And that provides consistent, sustained sound therapy, typically for a period of nine to 12 months.
And those devices are used in the treatment of tinnitus and hyperacusis. So you’ll be seeing more videos about that, coming down the pipeline here with my YouTube channel. But also if you’re someone interested in that, you can reach out to us, [email protected], and we can direct you where to go from there.
Now, on a very different topic, one thing that is beautiful that I’m really enjoying seeing, is that because my YouTube channel has grown with your help of watching these videos, commenting, pressing the Like button, and being subscribed, because my YouTube channel and audience has grown, now, when someone goes on YouTube and they search for “Help With Tinnitus,” I may be one of the first five or 10 people that they find online.
And when they watch some of my videos, my hope and intention is that it improves their condition. And after they find this YouTube channel and these video resources, they can on their own study what the overall recommendations are for tinnitus treatment. So if someone has tinnitus and they’re in the first few weeks or the first month of trying to figure out how to get better, finding my kind of resources would be highly valuable.
When I first started this in early 2020, I was not able to be easily found online. Someone would have had to be looking intensely to find my resources for tinnitus. But now, because this audience is growing with your help, there people who are suffering immediately in that very acute stage of tinnitus for in a period of weeks to one month or two months, that they’re able to find me and work with me via telehealth @puretinnitus, and get on the right course from the beginning, from the onset. So I wanted to just celebrate that because of what we’re doing here.
People are able get the right kind of information early and reduce the amount of time or the intensity of their suffering or of their challenges, during the tinnitus treatment period. So that’s a big win in my book because now I’m having people sign up for consultations with Pure Tinnitus, and they’re contacting me with only having tinnitus for a matter of weeks, and sometimes even as short as one week. So that’s a great sign because the earlier, typically, the better. And that goes with anything related to changes in the brain and the body. So, happy to share that.
That’s really good news. Okay, we’re almost done. The last thing I wanted to share is that the company, Neosensory, that creates the Neosensory Buzz product for tinnitus, they were able to give us a 10% discount code, which is the code Ben 10. And you can find that in the description of this video. If you’re interested in trying out that product, you can get 10% discount code by finding the link in the description.
Now, do I recommend that product? Well, it’s too early to say the research is showing lasting benefit with the product. But so far, their signs of this could be bimodal stimulation device that is having a similar effect as the Lenire device. So that’s something to consider if you’re wondering about how to start with any of those devices. Thank you so much for watching this video. And just as a recap, every first Sunday of the month, I will release this monthly video newsletter for puretinnitus.com.
And the second Sunday of each month, you can expect a podcast video interview with another professional in the tinnitus world. That’s all published here on my YouTube channel. And finally, every Tuesday morning in the United States, a video will be released on YouTube to educate and hopefully help you wherever you’re at on your tinnitus journey. T
his is Dr. Ben Thompson here. Thank you for watching this monthly video. And leave a comment if I can help you. If you guys have any specific questions or you want to work with me, please email [email protected]. Have a wonderful day, and thank you so much.

A COVID-19 vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson — the company best known for producing Band-Aids — is safe and effective, according to a Food and Drug Administration review released Wednesday, paving the way for a third U.S. vaccine.
If approved after a Friday, Feb. 26 review by the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee, the vaccine could be authorized as soon as Saturday. The company plans to begin shipping immediately. While not quite as effective as existing Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, it has two huge advantages. It’s easy to store and ship. And it works after only one shot.
“It’s not the world’s best at preventing you from becoming infected or developing minor respiratory symptoms,” according to Dr. Warner Greene, professor of medicine at UCSF and the founding and emeritus director of Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology. “But this vaccine protects you from severe disease — having to go to the hospital and dying. And frankly, that’s what we want from a vaccine. That is fantastic.” he said.
Here’s what to know about this new vaccine:
Q: How effective is it?
A: In U.S. trials, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine provided complete protection against COVID-19 death. It showed 86% efficacy against severe forms of the disease. The overall efficacy rate in the U.S. was 72% in the United States.
The efficacy rates of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are higher — both around 95%. But comparing the three vaccines is challenging because of differences in the designs and dosing regimens of the clinical trials, say experts.
Q: Can the new vaccine defend against dangerous variant viruses?
A: There is good news on that front.
The vaccine was tested at the height of the global pandemic. Its effectiveness was not influenced by the high prevalence of a variant in Brazil. In South Africa, with a different variant virus, the vaccine reduced severe or critical COVID-19 by 81.7% starting 28 days after vaccination. It was 64% effective against more moderate disease. In response, last week the South African government switched to J & J’s vaccines, instead of using Novavax or AstraZeneca vaccines.
Because Pfizer and Moderna’s vaccines were tested before the emergence of these troubling new variants, it’s not entirely clear how well they will work. In the lab, however, they showed a decreased ability to neutralize the strain now dominant in South Africa, worrying some researchers.
Q: Is there a plan if it fails to work against a variant?
A: Yes, it can be adjusted, or boosted.
It’s relatively easy to modify all three vaccines. With the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, scientists just synthesize a different strand of messenger RNA, said Georgetown University virologist Angela Rasmussen on the “Track the Vax” podcast. It is a little harder to manufacture a different viral vector vaccine, like J&J’s.
“It may be… that people who got vaccinated initially with Johnson & Johnson might be getting a Pfizer or Moderna booster that addresses the variant,” Rasmussen said.
Q: Are there side effects?
A: Side effects seem milder – and there were no reports of anaphylaxis.
All three vaccines have modest side effects, such as pain at the injection site, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, and joint pain. This doesn’t mean they’re unsafe. Rather, it shows that the immune system is kicking into gear.
Unexpected side effects for the J & J vaccine occurred at the same rate overall among volunteers who received vaccine and placebo — about 0.5%. A few rare conditions appeared more common with the vaccine, such as blood clot-related conditions or tinnitus, a ringing in the ears.
Significantly, because no one suffered a severe allergic reaction, so people who get the J&J vaccine might not have to be monitored for 15 minutes after injection – easing and speeding up clinics.
Q: How does it work?
A: The J&J vaccine uses a harmless virus, called an adenovirus, to carry the genetic code. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are made using messenger RNA, or mRNA, a technology that delivers a bit of genetic code to cells.
In all three vaccines, this code acts like a recipe to make a protein, called a spike. Our body sees this spike protein as an invader and triggers the immune system, producing antibodies and T cells.
If the body later encounters the actual COVID-19 pathogen, it is able to respond faster and more effectively, as immune cells and antibodies specific to the virus are produced rapidly in the body to prevent disease.
Q: What is the advantage to J&J’s approach?
A: It makes it a simple one-dose shot. The J&J vaccine is the first vaccine to show efficacy given as a single dose. That’s a huge advantage when it comes to vaccinating as many people as possible, especially in rural areas.
It’s also more convenient to ship and store. It doesn’t need ultra-cold storage, like the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Instead, it can be kept at standard refrigerator temperatures for three months. At colder temperatures, it is estimated to remain stable for a very long time: up to two years.
“We can set up more mobile units – ‘pop ups’ — that can really help get vaccine into the venues where some of our hard-to-reach populations are,” said Dr. Virginia A. Caine, director of Indiana’s Marion County Public Health Department, at a CDC forum on Wednesday. “This will give us access where we might not have had it before.”
Q: When will people get the new vaccine?
A: Due to manufacturing issues, there will only be about 4 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine available to ship immediately as soon as the vaccine is authorized. Of those, about 2 million will be shipped to states; the other 2 million will go to pharmacies and community health centers.
That’s far below the 12 million doses the company originally promised by the end of February. And it’s a drop in the bucket to protect the estimated 260 million vaccine-eligible Americans.
But it’s ramping up. The company says it will deliver enough doses by the end of March to vaccinate more than 20 million Americans. It promises 100 million doses by the end of June. And more doses are coming. Globally, Johnson and Johnson has far larger dreams, aiming to produce 1 billion doses by the end of 2021.
It has also pledged to provide doses to lower-income countries beginning this year through COVAX, the initiative led by the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, the World Health Organization, and others, Johnson & Johnson’s Dr. Richard Nettles told legislators at a subcommittee hearing of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Tuesday.

COVID-19: Trump’s hydroxychloroquine push boon for 160-year-old Indian plantation
Hydroxychloroquine. Picture Credit score: DailyKhaleej
U.S. President Donald Trump’s backing for a malaria drug to deal with COVID-19 has boosted the prospects of an obscure plantation within the mountains of jap India.
About 6,900 acres (28 kilometers) of the decrease Himalayas are below Cinchona cultivation, a tree whose bark is a pure supply of quinine – of which hydroxychloroquine, the drug Trump has touted as a “gamechanger” in treating the coronavirus, is an artificial by-product.
Trump’s backing has fueled stockpiling of the drug amongst hospitals and customers, prompting a tussle for provides that even sparked a short-lived export ban in India. The plantation has accordingly seen a surge of curiosity in its bark.
“Quinine sulphate that we get from cinchona bark is more potent, it has less side-effects,” stated Uden Angmu Yonzone, assistant quinologist on the manufacturing unit in Darjeeling. Harvesting is proscribed to annually, which restricts provide and pushes pharmaceutical corporations towards cheaper artificial elements, she stated.
India has a big stockpile
Uden could not elaborate on the relative advantages of pure quinine. Whereas there is no conclusive proof that hydroxychloroquine works on the virus, demand for the drug created a quick diplomatic spat after Trump warned of potential retaliation if Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not elevate a ban on exports. India has among the world’s largest producers of the completed drugs in addition to its element elements.
Samuel Rai, director on the Directorate of Cinchona and Different Medicinal Vegetation, stated he acquired further queries from Indian pharmaceutical and non-pharma corporations based mostly within the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal over late March and April relating to buy of the tree bark.
The plantation employs greater than 5,000 everlasting laborers and over 400 authorities staff, with harvests in December and January. The bark bought for 111 rupees ($1.45) a kilogram over the past public sale in November, Rai stated.
The place did all of it begin?
The primary Cinchona seeds have been despatched in 1861 to the Royal Botanical Backyard in Calcutta, then the capital of the British Empire in India, and the Darjeeling plantation was arrange in 1864. The medicinal properties of the bark have been recognized to the Incas of Peru, who known as the tree Kinakina within the native language and Cina in Spanish.
“Just as Lord Hanuman brought the holy medicine from the Himalayas to save the life of Lord Rama’s brother Lakshmana,” India and Brazil will be a part of within the battle towards the virus, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro wrote in a letter to Modi, referring to the Hindu epic Ramayana whereas in search of provide of hydroxychloroquine, the Press Belief of India reported this month.
Trump vowed in March to make the inexpensive medicine extensively obtainable to battle the pandemic, which has sickened about 2 million folks globally, killed greater than 126,000, and has no accepted remedy or vaccine. In India, the federal government has advisable hydroxychloroquine as a prophylactic for well being care staff who dose themselves as a safety measure to keep away from contracting the an infection whereas treating Covid-19 sufferers.
Negative effects and fatality
Hydroxychloroquine and its cousin chloroquine have side-effects: the latter can kill an grownup in simply two grams, or twice the each day quantity advisable for remedy, in accordance with a examine by the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The drug is understood to have short-term negative effects akin to nausea, diarrhea and tinnitus whereas long-term use can irreversibly impair eyesight.
It is forbidden for pregnant girls as it may well trigger congenital defects in infants.
Synthetic synthesis of quinine within the mid-20th century eroded demand for the cinchona bark and typical purchasers in the present day embody small Indian drug makers who use the ingredient to deal with leg cramps. Yearly, about 200,000 kilograms of Cinchona is harvested, and at the moment there’s an accrued inventory of 500,000 kilograms obtainable, in accordance with Rai.
“We are in a position to harvest more if mandated by the government,” he stated.
