so I’ve officially (essentially) finished my first playthrough of ghost of tsushima 😭‼️ I still have some material to post (and I’m working on getting the rest of the vanity collectibles off of Iki so I’ll probably be playing with its photo mode for a while). (because holy hell do I love this photo mode).

anyway I’m debating going back for a trillionth red dead 2 playthrough. that or resuming/restarting fordbidden west (or posting old captures from it), which I unfortunately interrupted and have yet to get back into. I plan on testing the waters of ghost of tsushima’s legends too! & would honestly love to find folks to play with if anyone’s interested.

update before post: I am currently enjoying some good ol’ inclement weather and the assignments that I have due despite the conditions, so I might not post much more than my drafts and some scrapped together old stuff this week!

#rat rambles #sekai posting #as you like it is also fucking amazing for similar reasons but the corus of the world hasnt even started yet just makes me explode /pos #its not necesarily my favorite sekai cover but its just so good an no one fucking talks abt it /lh #just go listen to the vocaloid version and then the wxs version just godddd tge cover is so filled with life and warmth #just vocally its just so well done and just showcases what I wanna see more of from a game thats abt vocalists music wise #like god knows wxs have their bad covers but overall they have some of the best because they more often actually like. sing as a unit #Ive ranted abt this before I think but sekai actually has been improving on this a bit I think #like bug is actually so fucking good and proves that 25ji covers CAN be good they just need to be given better songs and/or vocal direction #idk if there are vocal directors for the covers actually Im curious if there are #but yeah vbs have also been doing a lot better lately at singing as a unit which Im happy abt! they do sound rly good singing as a unit #but alas a lot of their more recent songs just arent as much my taste 😔 #but yeah I just think that 25ji needs to be given better songs to sing and l/n need to git gud /j #also pls for the love of god give haruka more solo covers for the songs she actually sounds good in- #but yeah you know a sekai cover is good if it makes the original/vocaloid version sound sad and lonely #and you know its bad if the vocaloid version feels like a god send after being forced to listen to the sekai cover lol (<- lower /lh)

So random ask,

Is there an aspect of an OC that you would like to explore but haven’t found the way to? (It can be any OC and it could be anything from a little quirk, a personality trait or literally anything you think about them and that you’d like to share)

ok i have been excited to answer this and I think honestly it's the more negative traits each of my OCs have.

Like I could do something where i feed into an obsession or ambition, but I don't know if i would enjoy writing it or have fun with others reading it. There's been a few times where I sort of wrote myself into a corner and had to back track because it was too far gone to make a reasonable resolution that felt good (to me)

More with Corus his anger and recklessness (impulsive actions that lead to closer calls or something that finally went too far) Kyrie's a bit obsessive need to protect (willing to take whoever it is away from what he perceives as danger, against their will) Melody's negativity (pushing others away and refusing to let anyone in) Mira's willingness to die for the good of others Vitus's determination to keep things stable Felix and his focus to keep the people he cares about safe (a character that in a different universe ignores that a tiny is very much human) Ash has an unexplored interest in preserving the beauty of nature I've gone pretty deep into before bailing out before Ian's anxiety leading to negative actions when he's big, trusting the wrong person when he's small

I could go into like every oc and their problems I want to explore at some point, but I don't really know how I would. I admit I do have a tendency to lean into darker tones for fiction in preference for consuming or creating. So something with them.

It's come closest when my own mood sours and I try to write. Part of when I take longer breaks too. I don't want to let my own shitty mood dictate something that doesn't fit my characters (my dm for pathfinder even catches me in those moods to keep me on track)

One day I might do a sort of horror challenge and write the bad things out. I have at least 1 oc who would build a really nice tube connection they have for mice and guinea pigs, but for a colony of tinies completely ignoring their wants to escape and get away

I have rambled for sure, but it's a lot of just exploring the unchecked bad traits of ocs.

Honestly there's been a lot of ideas i toyed with of showing the darker parts where it's framed as a good thing. Creature Mira au where she has to do something a lot more than killing monsters. Kaiju Ash au where their change made their own morals go corrupt. I did do it with Corus and Mira sort of, the bad end non canon stories of Assassin Mira gambling and Human Corus meeting Mira in a world that just sort of is a bit different.

Ok I'm actually gonna stop rambling but i'll happily go further on anything that i've said or any oc I didn't list that you wanna know about. I'm actually gonna think about making a list of like horror versions of stories where I do this now, maybe next october.

Footsteps quickly approaced the room you were sitting in. You just managed to look up in time for Your blonde girlfriend to actually kick open the door" [ NAME] OH MY GOD!" She yelled. " Yes?" You asked, putting the book you were reading down. " Okay so, Me and Ibuki-" you giggled" Ibuki and I?" Kaede glared at you playfully" okay, fine, Ibuki and I were talking and we were working on a new song, and then Sayaka called and started coming up with lyrics, and it all sounded nice, But then! " She kept talking

As she spoke, You could feel a smile tug at your lips. It was cute, how excited she was about her and her friends music. The way she bounced slightly, that caused her golden blonde locks to bounce as well. Her eyes would light up and go wide as she continued to speak, and the huge smile as she spoke as adorable. Sometimes she'd have sheet music, and at those times Kaede would be so excited, the paper wouldnt stay still enough for you to read it. It was absolutely adorable. 

" And when we decied to put a B sharp next, the corus came together and sounds absolutely perfect!! I'm so proud of us!! Ibuki is working on the guitar cords right now but i wanted to tell you about this because its so cool!! " Kaede stopped, smiling wider than ever. " That is so cool sweethart!! I am so proud of you!! All of you, this is so cool!" You leaned forward and gave her a gentle kiss on her cheek. She almost squealed, and jumped up. " Okay!! Ive gotta go back to the studio, but ill be back soon!!! I love you!" She started to run out of the room. 

" I love you too!" You called as you watched the last of her blonde hair leave your sight. You let out a soft sigh, and wondered how you got so lucky to have her as your girlfriend.

#rat rambles #sekai posting #Im gonna be real I have no idea what its called in english but just trust me bro its good #the corus is rly what does it for me like damn is that actual good harmonisation in sekai impossible /j #not that sekai covers that dont harmonise super well are bad it just oft feels like its just each member individually singing overlayed #which tbh it probably is how theyre put together but yknow #its just nice to hear the occational sekai cover where they actually sound like theyre performing together instead of individually #but just like in the same space hdjdhdj #again not that those covers are inherently bad I just prefer the covers with more vocal cordination personally #but yeah the groups with the guys tend to have some of the most mixed covers in my opinion because the mix of vocal ranges can both result #in some wonderful harmonisation and some just very messy bad sounding covers gdjhdkdydh #vivid bad are especially a wild card here they have some genuinely amazing songs and also some fucking jokes of covers #but I feel like at least they have some ironic enjoyment in them so good for them #my actual least favorite sekai covers are the ones that are just. bad in a boring way #like the teo covers I dont feel even a little bad calling them bad lol #that being said kanade has some of the objectively best solo covers sorry I dont make the rules #maybe one of these days I should make a sekai originals tier list thats way more managable then a bndori one dhdmydjd #that being said Id have to decide if Im using the vocaloid or sekai versions since my opinions on em varies heavily between the 2 for some #like I fucking love vocaloid lower 25ji lower can die
