DO YOU KNOW ?? YOUR HOME REFLECTS YOUR PERSONALITY !
Tumblr media
LET’S GET ACQUAINTED:
The design you choose for your home can reveal quite a lot about your personality. Everyone wants to create the perfect home, and often the way you decorate it is an extension of your attitude and feelings.
As pointed out by a leading Commercial Building Construction in Coimbatore, it has been a well-known fact and an accepted social norm today, that the way you dress, your lifestyle choices and the home and environment you live in, reflect your social standing.
At the end of the day, everyone strives to achieve the perfect home and lifestyle that not only becomes your comfort zone and an extension of your personality, but also a special space that can be flaunted to friends and family. In the current times, home design and styling have become intrinsic to this expression of the self, almost becoming a story told through design. The home space is being passionately converted into an ‘object’ or possession reflecting the social status of the owner and his personality.
To cater to this new-age demand, architects, interior designers as well as Best Builders and Developers in Coimbatore, are continuously raising the bar, by adhering to international standards in terms of architectural and landscape design, amenities, facilities and services offered to the consumer.
For example, little knick-knacks collected from all over the world immediately portray the fact that the owner of the house is a well-travelled, informed individual who would not hesitate to loosen his purse strings if the object of desire were to enhance his social standing amongst his peers. The younger generation is not afraid to put forth to the Villa Builders in Coimbatore, their ideas & demands of a house to live comfortably, flaunt their eclectic style and explore new aspects of design. They are well-informed and would not hesitate to go the extra mile to express their lifestyle choices.
Lifestyle Followed :
If you are someone who likes to be organised in life, then the chances are that your house will be clean and spacious, and there won’t be a pile of clutter in sight. Homes with lots of storage and simple designs reflect those who are logical and calm and like to have things planned out.
For those who love the outdoors, homes will be full of plants and flowers, with a garden bursting at the seams. It is important to make sure your home reflects your lifestyle, as how you feel in your day-to-day life should be the same when you’re in your home.
Relationships Established :
The way you decorate your home can affect the dynamics of any relationships you have in the house. Think about all the different people who live with you and how their personalities could also be reflected in the way your home is decorated.
If you have kids your home may have some smaller pieces of furniture or rooms with brighter walls. If you live with your other half, you may choose colours that reflect love and romance, turning your house into a warm and cosy home to share.
Experiences :
A great way to find out about someone is to learn about his or her experiences, and often these can be seen around the home. Homeowners that spend a lot of time travelling often bring home keepsakes and trinkets that can be found in various rooms, showing the experiences that they have had in life.
The experiences you have to tell a story are reflected in who you are and how you feel, and this is then reflected in your home decorations. It’s great for someone to be able to walk into your home and feel that it represents you.
Accessories Used :
There are many different ways that personality can be reflected through the accessories around your home. You may be a fairly quiet person, but the yellow cushions on your sofa or the floral tablecloth you choose in your kitchen could reflect your positive outlook on life.
The pictures you have on your walls or the designs you choose for your curtains could also reflect your love of animals, without actually taking over the house. It’s nice to inject your personality into all the different accessories around your home and garden.
Colours Painted :
Colours represent who you are and how you feel. There are many different studies out there that focus on colour psychology and how different colours can make you feel different emotions. Choosing a colour for your walls and furnishings is, therefore, quite an important task.
TO CONCLUDE:
You are likely to spend a lot of time in your home, so you must design and construct the house that you like. If you have brighter designs and cost-effective patterns, then you are likely to be quite outgoing, but more neutral designs tend to reflect more introverted and laid-back people.
This writeup with expert inputs from one of the leading Commercial builders in Coimbatore can help architects, builders, city planners, interior designers, and other specialists in applied fields design places that can promote healthier behaviour and more positive experiences among occupants.

Okay so, if you listen to me at all you know that I've been talking about the unreleased Simsville for a while. For those who don't know, it's a smaller scale simcity with a focus on small town life and The Sims within your town.
Okay hear me out here, I think it WAS released and the game that it became was Simcity Societies. HEAR ME OUT!
Tumblr media
So I started playing this game again a few days ago and I was wondering why it's so much different than the other simcity games. You don't zone lots. You put down EVERY commerical and EVERY residential lot yourself. Then I realized, that was a feature in the unreleased Simsville game. Once I noticed that I couldn't stop noticing things.
There's a focus on the lives of sims. You see the cars they drive and you track the members of families. Which was a feature in simsville.
There's a video put out by one of the simsville devs which shows a feature where you can click on a building and use arrows to see every other building of the same time. That's a feature in societies.
The buildable area is VERY small. Smaller than even Simcity 2013.
Then there are things that I didn't see in Simsville which seem very strange for a Simcity game to have but would make sense in the scale of a game like Simsville. There is a focus on the Sims themselves. You can track specific kinds of sims and see things like "Hippies created" or "deaths related to illness" in statistics menu.
Then there are smaller things. The only roads available in simcity societies are smaller roads and dirt roads which are all we see for Simsville. The way that objects are categorized looks similar to Simsville as well.
Tumblr media
This is the only simcity game that I can think of that allows you to put down specific things like this. Even though they aren't the same objects it allows for similar 'detail' placement. I can't think of a normal Simcity game that lets you put down a single swingset as an object.
I think that Simcity Societies is just a retooled Simsville with a feature of creating a town with 'european' or 'authoritarian' buildings to create different kinds of town versus simsville's originally planned small town America vibe, even though Simcity Societies has plenty of that left over too.

what do you think of poundbury? i reminded of it when will's house building project came out. yes, the objective of poundbury is def different, not to tackle housing crisis (i believe). honestly the only thing i can comment of it is the aesthetic although some critics on news said it gives feudal disneyland to which i also think it's true lol. it's beautiful, it's giving georgian vibes but def with modern amenities.
mm... it's a tough one. Poundbury is honestly the perfect mix of residential and business. opinions will vary based on your experience, but i can't help but see it as a good thing. and i will now explain why *whips out powerpoint*
i grew up in a small town that grew into something much bigger that was unrecognisable to me when i visited 7 years ago - we drove around our hometown and found parcels of land that were built on that shocked us. there was an iconic factory that was purchased for residential/commerical development - but that was it. it was just houses and a supermarket. no schools or businesses. nothing to sustain the growth the town had gone through.
we don't need to build residential areas - we need to build communities.

BREAKING: GRAND DUCHESS BRIA SAYS GOODBYE TO KBE AND THE STYLE REPORT
In a shocking statement from Creeksbrey Palace, HRH Grand Duchess Bria has announced that she is stepping back from KBE and The Style Report with Bria. The full statement reads:
After much consideration, the Grand Duchess of Umbrage has decided to step back from her private businesses including KBE and The Style Report with Bria.
While the Grand Duchess has enjoyed building these endeavors and seeing the impact they have made, she has decided to focus solely on her royal duties at this time. Serving the crown continues to be her top priority.
The Grand Duchess plans to help transition the companies to new leaders and work with them to ensure continued success. She sends appreciation and love for everyone who supported her.
Tumblr media
In a statement from KBE, Jade Anderson, the current Director of Operations of KBE Simerica has been named as the next interim CEO for the entire company. Jade has worked with Bria since the beginning of the company.
Tumblr media
In an emotional final episode of "The Style Report with Bria," the Grand Duchess along with the style reporters say goodbye to the viewers. Everyone including The Grand Duchess is clearly upset. The theme of the episode is what to wear when saying goobye and the cast are all dressed in black. Bria wears a lace jumpsuit and gloves with a black fascinator.
Tumblr media
On a much happier note, Bria brings out her replacement - Cassie McGrath. Cassie played Bria in the hit Simflix show "Who Wears the Crown?" which wrapped last year. The Grand Duchess befriended the young actress after seeing her portrayal and even had her as a guest on the show and the spinoff "SimDonia's Next Top Model" commerical episode. This will be the actress' next major project since the ending of "Who Wears the Crown?"
Cassie gave a touching tribute to the Grand Duchess about having to fill big shoes and continuing her legacy on the show. Visible tears streamed down Duchess Bria's face.
Tumblr media
We are saddened by the news, but we're excited to see what's next for this powerful royal! She will certainly be missed at KBE and on our tv screens.

Hello! Genuine question here and I don't want to be parasocial by messaging you directly. How would you feel about someone using MA as a jumping off point for a podcast of their own? Something that explores similar themes of queerness, community, and self-expression and borrowing some of your creature-centric terminology? Is that derivative? Thanks so much for your time, you've been an inspiration Mx. Owen
Hello! Thanks for asking. First of all, DMing me on this account isn't parasocial at all - if I wasn't comfortable with people sending me DMs, I'd... close DMs lol They're a handy tool to communicate through, and being parasocial is far more complicated than "sent a creator a message using one format instead of another". All is well!
Secondly, I personally prefer not to use salutations (Mx, Ms, Dr, etc) so please, feel free to call me Hero!
And now, to the meat of your question. I absolutely don't have a problem with people being inspired by MA to make their own art. Far from it! I think that's one of the coolest things about making art - that it can spark something in someone else and they go off and formulate a response or a reaction or something entirely new.
I don't see that something exploring themes of queerness, community and self-expression could possibly be mine to gatekeep. I didn't invent these concepts, and MA is far from the first piece of media to explore them! Neither is any of the language used in MA copyrighted or unique - they aren't invented words, they're just riffing on real ways we talk about marginalisation.
In a legal sense, if your work was really truly "derivative" of MA - as in, explicitly set in the same universe and playing with the canon established by MA - then yes, you'd have to acknowledge that somewhere. Have a look at how The Underwood Collection manage things - they make it very very clear that they are "an unendorsed, noncanonical derivative podcast of Rusty Quill’s The Magnus Archives".
To break that down, it's important you're clear that I haven't lent my name to your project; what you write doesn't impact the MA canon; and that your work is directly building on MA, of which you explicitly credit me as the creator. MA is also released on a non-commercial license, which means you cannot use its derivatives for commerical purposes. Having a Patreon etc to support you is fine, but the content itself must be free to access.
However, if you're using "derivative" in a more general sense - you're making your own world and just playing with the same ideas as MA - then I don't think my opinion matters much. What matters is whether you feel like you're making art that's worth making, that says something you think is worth saying. Even if someone's already said it - many things are important enough to be worth repeating!
I think there's a lot to be said for transformative art and riffing on other creators' work, and that it's a really exciting, interesting thing to put yourself explicitly in conversation with the original work. At the same time, I think making your own art is an opportunity to blend all your influences together and put something into the world that only you could possibly create. And I'm touched that people find Monstrous Agonies interesting and rich enough for them to engage with in either way!
I hope that answered your question, and if not, just shout xx

Train cars are a LOT bigger then I first thought (about 7 feet wide, 14 feet long, and 12 feet tall) when I first started designing the Moving City, I've found that a lot of my problems have been about weight; how much a train could pull, how heavy building materials are and hold much furniture the train could handle. Rather then trying to figure out the housing situation.
I figured that two floors on each train car with two room on each floor would be enough space, with storage cars every two cars or so.
I think this would be realistic enough to account for all the families and their personal belongings (whether or not this would actually work I don't know.)
That's all I got for now.
Oh yeah train cars are pretty damn massive (this came up in one of my Magic Misfits fics, amusingly), although it depends on where you are and what the loading gauge is. I will note that 2 stories to a car might be pushing it - that would feel very cramped at less than 6ft clearance per floor; for comparison, an average house gives you about 10 and commerical building stories average 14 feet.
One other thing I'll note, being a train nerd, is IDK how long this train city is going to be, but you may have problems with couplings breaking. IDK what the exact number is off the top of my head, but a coupler can only take a certain amount of force - with a long and heavy train, you can hit a situation where the force you need to move the train is greater than that. It's one of the reasons you see long freight trains with extra engines towards the rear (sometimes more than necessary in terms of pure power), instead of just coupling them all in front - it distributes the force, with the cars are being pushed as well as pulled, so there's less strain (the other reason they do this is stringlining, which would be bad news if you're living in the cars that roll over).
IDK what motive power you're using, and there's no reason you have to be realistic, but you have awakened my amature railfan side XD

Residential construction primarily involves building homes, apartments, or housing complexes. These projects cater to individual homeowners or families seeking a place to live. Key aspects include:
Design Focus: Emphasis on personal preferences, functionality, and aesthetics tailored to homeowners' needs.
Scale and Scope: Smaller in scale compared to commercial projects, with a focus on comfort and living spaces.
Regulatory Factors: Adherence to local zoning laws, building codes, and homeowner association regulations.
Commercial Construction: Unique Aspects
On the other hand, commercial construction encompasses a broader spectrum, including offices, retail spaces, hospitals, and more. Here are the defining characteristics:
Functionality Over Personalization: Design prioritizes functionality, brand identity, and operational efficiency rather than personal preferences.
Scale and Complexity: Larger scale projects often involving complex infrastructure, adherence to specific industry standards, and stringent regulations.
Timeline and Budget Considerations: Commercial projects often have tighter deadlines and budget constraints due to business needs and financial commitments.
Key Considerations for Success
Design and Purpose: Understanding the distinct requirements of each sector is crucial. Residential projects focus on creating a comfortable living environment, while commercial spaces prioritize functionality and brand representation.
Regulatory Compliance: Both sectors have their unique set of regulations. Staying updated with local building codes, zoning laws, and industry-specific standards is essential for successful project completion.
Materials and Construction Techniques: Commercial projects may require more robust materials to withstand higher foot traffic and structural demands compared to residential constructions.
Project Management Approach: While both sectors require efficient project management, commercial projects often involve more stakeholders, necessitating a highly organized and collaborative approach.

Where It Begins (21/?)
Tumblr media
↪ series masterlist
21. Question...?
Pairing: Colin Bridgerton x Penelope Featherington   Format: textfic   Chapter Rating: T+
Summary: It’s Moving Day Eve, and you know what that means!!
Tumblr media
Colin hopped out of the rental van (expertly parked, in his humble opinion), and sauntered the few shorts steps to a less-than-ambiguous metal door. He let himself in with a shake of his head, just as suspected the building door was left unlatched.
He climbed the three flights of stairs to her weird walkup and her door was halfway open, too. Enough to know this was the party location but not enough to see the ruckus inside. And there wasn't much ruckus at all - Colin is an hour and a half early after all; no one was meant to be here, they were to meet at the bar at eight the earliest.
Stepping inside, Colin could clearly see Stella (new red do and all, causing him to stop in his tracks) leaning over the little kitchenette island speaking with two others across from her. He doesn't get a single word out before there's a blob stopping him in his tracks. Not just any blob of black and blonde - Penelope. In a little black dress with pearly sequins and sleeves, and her hair half tied up, half falling into ringlets. Her make up is done beautifully and she is just so effortlessly -
"Lovely. You look lovely, Pen."
She blushes oh so prettily, and my god does his heart ache with a longing Colin didn’t know could exist. It's been too long. He does all he can to stop himself from leaning down and capturing her lips, from reaching out to fill his hands with her pliable and intoxicating hips, from indulging in the fantasy of their meet up that’s been weaving through his imagination for longer than Colin would admit. It’s been nearly eight months since he’s seen her last - and although she hasn’t said explicitly that she’s with anyone, it’s common decency not to assault your best friend and hostess just because you missed her ardently.
She invited you over to help her move. You promised. And things could change...
"Thank you,” she smiles. “You're not too bad yourself."
There's some sort of mumble coming from the kitchen that has Pen rolling her eyes.
"You can pop your stuff in my room" she says, nodding to his rucksack and pointing down the corridor to the white wooden door he knows so well.
***
Tumblr media
This is different for Colin. A pub is a pub no matter where in the world, and an English one is nothing special. Except this pub had sparkles in the air. There were groups of obvious regulars packed in corners, rowdy boys at tables taking shots, music with strong bass and high syncopation playing over far away speakers. All of it white-noise. Because steps away in the center of the tavern (their tavern. the one that started it all), was Her.
Colin was sat at a bar top on the sidelines. Something he’s certainly not known for doing in his daily life; the charismatic Bridgerton as rooted as a wallflower. Pen’s done her duty as hostess and introduced him to most of the early attendees, including him in this facet of her life before being lost to her friends. This is Colin; we’ve known one another for ages. Other late-commers sidling up and eyeing a newcomer in their midst, Colin introduces himself as Pen’s friend from home. But Pen’s home is here - has been here and will be Birmingham from tomorrow, and Colin’s... his home is the four walls in his mother’s estate.
I’m Pen’s friend from London.
He’s watching. Staring. Eyes gazing fondly as Penelope mingles. She's happy and floating and shining. Colin can’t recall if he’s ever seen her like this in recent years (years! they’ve be reacquainted for years now. it still seems like just last season she stumbled back into his life). Whenever he’s been in town, their adventures have been illicit and quiet and just theirs. The only glimmers of her daily life he was afforded to were in their texts and whatever Stella let slip on occasion.
The smirk permanently affixed to his lips faltered at a new thought. How could one woman stumble into his life and change almost every thing he’s ever assumed?
Surely, Benedict's words followed, floating and clouding and taking over.
What is this?
Surely you can’t be serious.
He took a long swig of whiskey.
Is she worth it?
In the distance he could hear her giggle.
Colin stole a glance again, and their eyes met. Pen’s glowing features perked into a small genuine smile just for him.
He couldn’t look away - she was the depths of a sea and he wanted to continue falling deeper and deeper. His full body shifted towards her, a sailor being beckoned by a siren.
Is this just lust? A culmination of dry weeks and anticipation of ending this spell?
Or is this sabotage?
And in the distance, several feet away in the warm low-lit bar, there she was making an absolute fool of herself trying to do some strange choreography.
It had Colin’s heartbeat quickening and his grip on the glass tightening.
***
Tumblr media
She's dancing with some guy she knows, has been speaking with him for ages. Hours it feels like. If Colin knows anything about anything it's cues - they're close and closer and getting closer as the minutes tick by. He'd look away but he just can't help himself from drinking her in.
If Colin Bridgerton knows anything at all, it’s that Penelope Featherington is his friend first and foremost.
Tonight is all about her.
He watches as she checks her phone and her brows furrow. A little scowl of confusion etching itself before erasing completely. A weight of unsettlement roots in his stomach, Colin turns towards the table he's sat at, taking full interest in his pint. Determined to head out once he’s downed the last drop.
Soon, seconds, there's a nudge at his leg, and bright eyes imploring him once he turns towards his companion. Pen. Pretty little Penelope slotting herself between his legs and her warm palm at the back of his neck and those words
Is she?
Is she?
Is-
Soft lips take his. She tastes fruity and a little like the peanuts she's been snacking on- but most of all she feels right. She's everything he's missed in the world. She's warmth. She's safety. She's the greatest drug he's encountered. He tugs her closer, bodies pressed together, the firmness of the bar chair keeping them upright. A quiet indulgent. Then, clapping. Cheering. Voices all around them causing a scene.
Pen pulls away much to his chagrin. Colin leans in to preserve the moment.
Her warm silky hands fall to his chest. Blush creeps down her chest and blooms over her skin.
He raises a questioning brow.
She responds with the most conspiratory of smirks. Her painted fingertips curling in his shirt. "You will not."
"Aye, aye Captain."

If there is literally one good thing left on this earth it’s good mythical morning and the ghoul boys - every time they are together I replay it in my head over and over like legitimately when Shane and Ryan were on GMM for that one spooky stories/spooky dishes episode and Rhett and Link are arm to arm back to back right before they part like a bueaktful curtain and the bOys are like Let’s Talk About That - I want that playing on a digital frame on loop over my grave/cremation urn, I want it to be my ringtone, I want to make a build a bear with it as the sound byte I want it on a commerative keychain I want it as one of those prop buttons I want it to be the video that gets directly sent to my neural feed blocking my vision and ultimately causing my death in that one very specific Tesla scenario I want it to be made into a yankee candle scent I want it to be oir wedding theme I want it to play on a billboard sign It has directly rewired my every neuron and I want it to become a part of me I cannot express enough how much it has impacted the person I am today
